The Real Collusion Story by Michael Doran
FREE MARKET CAPITALIST RAMBLINGS FROM THE END OF THE BAR
In my daily whip around the world wide web in search of credible information, I usually make a stop by The Drudge Report. In recent days, some of the stories I came across there echo what I feel in my gut, that the world has practically turned inside, outside, upside down.
When it comes to sports sedans, there are few who would deny the M5 a rightful place at the top. The limited-production M5 can out-accelerate, out-brake and out-corner some of the most expensive sports cars, with comfortable seating for five. It's powered by a hand-built 500-hp 5.0-liter V10, with suspension and brakes enhanced to match all the power. Buyers can choose between a 7-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) with steering wheel paddles or 6-speed manual transmission
And while these glowing assessments of the Pontiac G8 GXP continue, like this one, Obama's and his Car Tsar have taken over GM and decided to eliminate the Pontiac Motor Division. This is yet another "brilliant' move by the group of morons running our country these days.
No doubt, Michael Barrone was quite correct in a column during the campaign predicting this whole scenario.
If you do not want to run car companies as you state, don't. Ditto banks and insurance companies. And quit strong arming corporate executives, whether personally as with Mr. Walpin or Rick Wagoner of GM or through your surrogates as evidenced by the despicable behavior by ACORN and your media partners during the AIG bonus debacle.
America, please wake up!
In a mind boggling move, ABC News is not to be outdone. ABC announced today that they will broadcast World News Tonight from the White House a week from Wednesday and then turn over programming for a special primetime event, "Prescription for America" to highlight the administrations health care agenda. This "town hall" meeting will be anything but, as dissenting voices will not be welcome. So much for Obama's appreciation for "robust debate".
I have been a subscriber of Investors Business Daily since 1994. IBD, with their proprietary stock ranking system, is a must for active investors. However, IBD also has an editorial page second to none and by far, the best political and editorial cartoonist in Michael Ramirez, who once again knocks it right out of the park. The stimulus; what a bunch of crap!
