A Despicable Representative of the People

Sen. Harry Reid (D:NV)
Last week, with preparations for another campaign set to get off the ground with a scheduled event, Senator Harry Reid (D:NV) announced he will not seek re-election.

While America had hoped the citizens of Nevada would have handled this in previous elections, with a significant war chest boisterously buoyed by waves of corruption, Reid has always held off would be challengers.

Now, it appears his health has gotten the best of him.  While we wish no political individual ill will in a personal sense to any of those we disagree with politically, we cheer the departure of Sen. Reid, whom we deem a despicable representative of the people.

Sen. Reid is an arrogant liar, with limited respect for the checks and balances instilled by our founders who found the success and advancement of himself and those he supports above the will and future prosperity of the American people.  Reid lied on the Senate floor, slandering GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney about having not paid taxes, and assaulted the Koch brothers for no apparent reason.

The damage he has done leading the senate, prohibiting legislation from being voted on and paralyzing the will of the people, is staggering. Beyond that, time and time again, Reid has exhibited disdain for our military. You may recall he said the surge in Iraq was failure and the war was lost.

As we have previously posted, Senator Reid is reprehensible and rancid and the type of individual without a moral compass our founders warned us about.

Supposedly Reid had an early January accident in his home, giving him a shiner to behold; however, that may not be quite true either.  Perhaps somebody put five across his eyeball?

While Reid may indeed be in failing health, and many have noticed he has appeared to slip in recent months, could it be that there is anticipation of the GOP holding the White House and the Congress, which may lead to investigations of the mounting evidence of Reid's actions which beg an ethics inquiry?

History will not be kind to this despicable representative of the people.  The citizens of Nevada should have booted him years ago, and thanks to their ineptitude, our nation must suffer much of the consequences.
