Abusive Politicos Frog Strangled on FOX

Those pesky AIG bonuses continue to dominate the news cycle. Thankfully for us, the usual political factions are hard at work protecting the good of the people. Or are they? Don't be fooled. Glenn Beck absolutely destroys Connecticut Attorney General Richard Bluementhal, who has the AIG bonus recipients covered dead to right but has no idea what his own Congressman Barney Frank has been up to. Don't miss this exchange:

Beck further blasted Barney Frank again today, and you have to wonder how Frank continues to be elected given his incompetence. Take a listen:

Earlier today, I read an outstanding piece over at Capm's Blog on an approved measure out of the House Financial Services Committee, chaired by our fearless idiot at large, Barney Frank (D:MA) called the "Pay for Performance Act of 2009." As Captain points out, this bill was written by our Congressman, Alan Grayson (D:FL). Captain accurately describes Grayson, who made his fortune suing the likes of Haliburton (HAL:NYSE) over defense contracts, as the sleazy political novice that he is, but then Grayson showed up on Fox Business's Cavuto with FOX Business Chief Neil Cavuto. Ladies and Gentleman, this was not pretty:

Let it be known to all abusive politicians trying to hoodwink the public; some folks are still blinded by the Obama rhetorical rise, but the ship is already sinking and the abusive arrogance on display will be challenged. In the event you have not got the memo, we surround you and you will hear from us!

Right On Rush

On Greta Van Susteren's FOX program "On The Record", she played a clip of talk show icon Rush Limbaugh unleashing on President Obama. Take a listen:

As far as I am concerned, Rush hit a towering shot out far left center field of Royals Stadium. I agree with every bit of the tirade and I hope Obama's attempted socialistic policies fail miserably. This is a road America will be much better for not having traveled, as evidenced by the failure of socialism everywhere it has been attempted. Apparently the arrogant one is a bit lacking in historical economics, but of course, I already knew that.

Global War on Terror

Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, says that the Obama administration has "abandoned the term global war on terror" reports suggest. "The administration has stopped using the phrase and I think that speaks for itself," Clinton said.

Clinton claims the term was widely disliked overseas. I got news flash for you. Most Americans could give a rats ass what the folks overseas think of this terminology.

The Obama administration prefers the term 'Overseas Contingency Operation,' which I find offensive. Here at BAHL's Blog, we will continue to describe the war on terror as exactly what it is, a Global War On Terror!

The terrorists, although thanks to George W. Bush have been getting their asses kicked since 9-11, still seek to eliminate us with whatever means possible. The appeasement exhibited by the Obama administration certainly does not bode well for our future.

We should never forget the events of September 11, 2001 and should remain on offense in attacking those who wish us harm.

Always Blame The Appraiser

Neil Cavuto of FOX Business Network interviews Connie DeGroot of Coldwell Banker and Jonathan Miller of Miller Samuel on the ever changing role appraisals are playing in the home buying process. Take a listen:

Underwriter stipulations for declining markets, of which Florida is one, usually require 3 sales within the previous 90 days within a maximum of one mile radius. In the current environment, the pool of comparables rarely have more than one sale which fits this criteria.

Therefore, either the radius need to be expanded or the time frame must be exceeded. I have submitted reports in which it was necessary to exceed standard guidelines for comparable ranges with respect to time and distance, with extensive commentary explaining why this was necessary. Underwriters have kicked back many of these, asking for those sales within 90 days. They do not exist. Certainly, if there had been comparable sales which fit this criteria, they would have been utilized in the first place.

So, we can see how we hit a fork in the road. It comes down to banks and their willingness to lend. I believe sometimes the appraisal is the labeled the culprit on deals that go south, which is unfortunate.

And, just when you thought it was safe to go in the water, or your local strip club, comes this CNBC story which throws a jab at us appraisers.

I have not even been to a club in over year, including the DR, due to financial constraints, of course.

Turn Out The Lights: Is The Party Over?

With the Space Shuttle safely home, we can turn our attention to Earth Hour 2009. Recently, actor Edward Norton and singer Alanis Morrisette were guests on Larry King Live to discuss this worldwide awareness event. Take a listen:

Let me say that I have no problem raising awareness for every individual on the planet to treat the planet with respect by applying common sense and to never pollute. I do not, however, subscribe to the global warming scan being perpetrated on the world by the likes of Al Gore. Folks in Fargo, North Dakota are hoping to hold the Red River at Bay due to an unusual amount of ice. Parts of Oklahoma are battling an ice storm today. I could go on and on.

Anyhow, it is funny to see the Hollywood crowd all on board. In his personal effort to help out, Edward Norton uses more efficient light bulbs and thinks he drives a Hybrid Toyota Prius, but then recognizes he does not actually own a car. Prius drivers think I am Dale Earnhardt as I run them over.

There seems to be an overabundance of musicians today making millions with little or no talent. Alanis Morrisette, however, is not one of them. I think she is among the most talented out there. Just love her, but she composts at her house. Good grief!

Several cities around the world, incuding Orlando, are participating this evening by dimming lights on buildings and residents in homes are doing the same. Me, I will be doing my part by leaving all my televisions on, opening my refrigerators doors (even the one in the garage) and leaving the air on snow as I will attending the Heart concert at The House of Blues Orlando.

Tonight may be a symbol, cause if we adopt all these global warming and cap and trade policies, it may be turn out the lights on our economy!

Obama's Underground Orchestrates Chaos

Understanding the real story behind the recent uproar of the bonus compensation for the executives at American International Group (AIG:NYSE) is of critical importance to the American Citizen. Please take a listen to the following:

The Obama administration knew in advance the executives of AIG would receive those bonuses, and presented themselves to the public as if they did not. Furthermore, the administration, with the main stream news media fully complicit, initiated, through their union partners and civil disobedience arm ACORN, staged demonstrations for public consumption.

It seems a history lesson would be appropriate. Glenn Beck recently interviewed Robert Gellately from The Florida State University on the subject and it raises cause for concern.

Have you heard about the bonuses for the executives of Freddie (FRE:NYSE) and Fannie (FNM:NYSE)? Didn't think so. The actions of this administration are despicable, and more violence is, unfortunately, on the way in an effort to weaken your resolve and put you in a position where the easy choice is to fall behind their leadership. Ladies and gentlemen, you are being presented with items which take your attention away from the real matters at hand. If you don't stop and pay attention now, it may be too late when you finally wake up.

BAHL's Babes: Kylie Minogue

On The O'Reilly Factor Pinhead and Patriots segment, Bill O'Reilly labeled Australian singer Kylie Minogue a patriot for her charitable work with The Wiggles, a kids group, in an effort to help raise money for children.

I had the occasion to meet Kylie as she was a scheduled performer on Good Morning America when I was there one morning. She was friendly, humorous and quite tiny, not to mention stunning. The performance of her top single "Come Into My World" was also outstanding. See the photo and youtube of performance below:

Kylie is an award winning singer and actress, and a breast Cancer survivor. She has written a book for kids and has her own perfume line. I did not have her on the original list of BAHL's Babes, but if you find time to help out kids, are a Cancer survivor and are hot, that works for me.

The Rhetorical Firebombing To Continue

The citizen organizers of The Orlando Tea Party, Lisa Feroli and Shelly Ferguson, were guests on The Glenn Beck Program on FOX News. These Moms, who along with 540WFLA talk show host Bud Hedinger, orchestrated this tremendous success, which I might add was peaceful. Congratulations to them, and Thank You!

This event outlined our grievances and was based on principles, very similar to those put forth by Glenn Beck and his 912 project, and had little organized backlash aimed directly at Presidents Obama or Bush. Beck, who although in Orlando but unable to attend, praised that fact. Although I am a fan of Mr. Beck and subscribe to his 912 project, I think much of the blame should be placed at the doorstep of President Obama. Looking around at many of the homemade signs at the event, which I attended, I am not alone.

The policies put forth by Mr. Obama, his administration and the Congress are directly opposite of those subscibed to by us members of the Reagan Revolution. Many of these polices, like the movement of the Census from commerce to The White House, are done with backdoor motivations and without proper transparency, which Mr. Obama strongly campaigned on. The war on prosperity and the power grab initiated by the administration is incredibly concerning. The issues go on and on and are out of control.

Here at BAHL's Blog, I will continue to firebomb away rhetorically at the troubling policies currently in place and those on our doorstep thanks to idiotic thinking by our elected officials. From my disbelief in the scam of the century known as global warming, offensive position on the Global War on Terror, support of our Armed Forces, economic background with emphasis on free market capitalism, belief in investment vehicles to propel prosperity( yes, Wall Street) and belief in the work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit of the American people (small business), you can look forward to those accountable being repeatedly called out, which certainly will include the starstruck media, Hollywood morons, local politicians, the current Congress, the current administration and the leader of it, President Obama.

Kudlow Report Lives On!

CNBC's Larry Kudlow had been rumored as a possible opponent against Chris Dodd for Senate in Connecticut. Since, apparently, no one has the the stones to go after Dodd, we will have to do it the old fashioned way, by voting him out.

Although it would seem Casper the Ghost would be a stronger and more ethical Senator than Dodd, Kudlow, a former Reagan economic advisor, would in my view be a strong candidate. However, Kudlow announced last night he signed a new contract with CNBC and will not seek a future in politics.

It would have been fun to see Kudlow dismantle Dodd, but I am a huge fan of The Kudlow Report nightly on CNBC and would have missed Larry terribly. Keep up the great work Larry, and may the Kudlow creed, "Free market capitalism is the best path to prosperity" live on!

Julia Roberts Teases Letterman No More

Typically, I pay little or no attention to the news coming out of Hollywood, but I heard some news out of the corner of my ear today that got my attention. David Letterman has married his longtime girlfriend and mother of his child. "Two days before the courthouse wedding, he was flirting like mad with Julia Roberts, who teased him about his unmarried status", reports The New York Daily News.

This brings back a great New York City memory for me. The one and only time I attended a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman, guest Julia Roberts teased Dave repeatedly on when he might tie the knot. Although Julia teases Dave throughout, the first video segment contains most of the interaction on this subject. If you care to take a listen:

PART 1

PART #2

PART #3

This was quite an evening indeed. Letterman was gracious to the audience and Julia Roberts was as advertised beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. After the show, I tried to get up close to Julia as she departed The Ed Sullivan Theater. I did get the shot pictured at left but when she got in front of me, I greeted her rather than snapping an close up photo.

Congrats to Dave on his marriage and thanks to David Letterman and Julia Roberts for a wonderful evening.

FOR THOSE WHO MAY NOTICE THE DATE DIFFERENTIAL BETWEEN THE PICTURE AND THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS, TWO SHOWS WERE TAPED DECEMBER 11, 2003 WITH JULIA ROBERTS SHOW AIRING DECEMBER 12, 2003.

Media On Board In AIG Smokesceeen

CNN, who is absolutely getting killed in the ratings, may want to actually examine why this is taking place. An example of the issues that plague CNN was on display this weekend.

On this past Saturday, CNN sent a reporter, Susan Candiotti, along for a bus ride, sponsored and attended by some 40 union workers and the community organization outfit know as ACORN, to view executive homes from the street of employees of American International Group(AIG:NYSE) who legally accepted bonuses issued to them. Please observe the filed report:

Meanwhile, I was among some 5000 patriots who felt compelled to use a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Orlando to protest and display a list of grievances with my government, which includes but is not limited to an apparent assault on our constitution (retroactive taxation on the AIG executives), the relaxation of defense mechanisms in the Global War on Terror (possible releasing of GITMO held terrorists in this country), the movement towards socialism (wealth redistribution) and what appears to be an attack on free market capitalism (massive expansion of corporate regulation and taxation and the assault on Wall Street).

Seems to me CNN would not know the real story if it knocked on their front door. Or worse yet, they are promoting an agenda under the premise of fair reporting of the truth. America is on to the shenanigans at CNN, and the ratings prove it. Ditto Congress with Obama following fast!

We Surround Them!

On a glorious day on the shores of Lake Eola in beautiful downtown Orlando, a gathering of concerned citizenry assembled as,

The Orlando Tea Party was held with some 5000 American Patriots.

There were some outstanding and creative signs. The one pictured at left was among my favorites. I certainly do not want my hard earned money taxed to the hilt to pay for idoits who sit around waiting for the government to help them. Government is not the solution to the problem, government is the problem.

Pictured below is my brother in law, lifelong friend and Patriot, Thomas Kirk, of Capm's Blog, addressing the crowd.

Free market capitalism is the best path to prosperity is the Kudlow Creed, and this event was filled with anti-socialists who have had enough of government welfare and high tax and regulatory burdens. It is, after all, our money.

Here is a presentation of the day I grabbed off youtube.

Click HERE and HERE for some great photos of the day!

Let it be known, WE surround them! God Bless America!

Anti-FSU Idiots Get Rolled By Truth

Mike Bianchi of The Orlando Sentinel recently wrote an article about the impact of the academic fraud case at Florida State University and head Coach Bobby Bowden. The article was somewhat supportive of Bowden, and not surprisingly, riled up several misinformed Gators across the state.

Charles Hinson, apparently a Sentinel reader from Jacksonville, felt compelled to respond with a letter to the editor claiming Bowden wears a teflon jacket, is a hypocrite, an embarrassment and left stink on the fields and athletic halls of FSU.

Shelby Morrison of Orlando wrote "Is college football about football or learning? Maybe I'm the one who has confused priorities, but part of the responsibility for the "dumbing up of America" has to rest on the shoulders of Bowden." Morrison also claimed Bowdens "complicity is apparent" in the academic fraud case at FSU.

I have heard of stretching the truth, but these two idiots need a shot of reality, and I am going to give it to them.

Florida State University has the highest graduation rate of its student ahtletes participating in college football in the state. If Bowden is complicit in the academic progress of his football team, then kudos to him for producing the state of Florida's only Rhodes Scholar in it's long history of college football. Grab yourself an introduction to Mr. Myron Rolle:

I look forward to meeting Mr. Rolle at an event I will be attending in mid April. Go Noles!

A Ship of Fools

On the day before Valentines a month ago, Time Magazine put forth an article noting the 25 people to blame for the current financial crisis. Among the guilty listed were Christopher Cox (R:CA), current SEC Charmian, Angelo Mozillo, former CEO of Countrywide Financial, the American consumer, Franklin Raines, a former Clinton budget director and team Obama financial advisor who left fraud infested and bankrupt Fannie Mae with a $90 million parting gift and former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

All the aforementioned are on my list. Mozillo and Raines should be jailed while Cox represents the ultimate example of being asleep at the wheel. Clinton, although he has a disengaged memory of this, started programs which in part led to this debacle while Bush, although he publicly asked Congress for derivatives reform, was Charles in Charge as the situation broke horribly loose.

For the record, GOP Presidential hopeful John McCain (R:AZ), put forth legislation to rein in Freddie and Fannie while President Barack Obama, who complains daily how he inherited this mess, voiced not a peep regarding the housing crisis or credit derivatives on the very few times he engaged the senate floor. He does, however, have a long term association with ACORN, which leads me to the question the Time list.

In the world of BAHL, four of the top culprits were astonishingly omitted on the list by Time. Consistent with the presentation Time put forth, here are my missing four:

Barney Frank (D:MA), Chair of the House Financial Services Committee

Chief among the fools on the hill we can blame for this mess is Barney Frank, who has arrogantly bungled issue after issue. When President Bush asked for the congressional leadership to shore up the derivatives market and the balance sheets at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Frank got twisted and angrily proclaimed that Fannie ( FNM:NYSE) and Freddie (FRC:NYSE) were fine and had no issues. Keep in mind the government runs Freddie and Fannie, and from his perch atop the House Financial Services Committee Frank missed the herd of pink elephants running around. In addition, under the leadership of Franklin Delano Raines, Fannie Mae was found guilty of fraud (accounting errors for those with friends in high places). Frank was a longtime champion of Freddie and Fannie, scolding members of congress who questioned the soundness of these GSE's and running interference to those who got in the way. Obviously, Frank was motivated to back Freddie and Fannie or he is an idiot.

ACORN

If you are looking for a quote unquote non-profit organization that operates with a mob style that imposes it's will on American commerce, it is the Obama friendly fraudulent organization of ACORN. You really need a history of the decades long role this organization has played in this crisis. Through civil disobedience, ACORN continues to interject their ideas in the marketplace even today.

ACORN pressured lending institutions to increase lending to those with less than stellar credit worthiness, essentially minorities, by threatening to march in front of their business or even haul them into court for discrimination. One of the young member of the ACRON legal team was Chicago's Barack Obama. Fearing the unknown of squaring off against this group, many lending institutions caved in and began stretching their lending guidelines.

Chuck Schumer (D:NY)

Chuck Schumer, (D:NY), finds the folks he represents as lower class chatterers who have not the knowledge to interject with the intellectually superior elite like himself. Schumer may have ignited this whole cascade of bank failures by making ill-advised and potentially illegal comments about Indymac bank, which resulted in a run on the bank. At a minimum Schumer had a fiduciary responsibility to keep his mouth shut on information about Indymac he had gained from his governmental position. Violation of the responsibility to the magnitude of Schumers actions are borderline criminal. After Indymac failed, the doors got kicked open and the scramble to struggle for solvency was initiated. Was this an idiotic move or a grand scheme to destabilize the banking system to make the Bush administration look bad? Either way, Schumer's actions are arrogant and destructive.

Chris Dodd (D:CT)

Christopher Dodd has his hands in the housing crisis more than anyone else on Capitol Hill, and he should be asked to resign immediately if not impeached. I have been calling for this for quite some time. Dodd got a favorable loan from Countrywide, a loan with terms not available to the common man, and claimed he was unaware of it. It would not be a stretch to think the Chairman of the House Banking Committee had little knowledge of mortgage loan terms given the level of competence we see in Washington.

Imagine the Chairman of the House Banking Committee getting a favorable loan and failing to notice any issues with Countrywide, Fannie or Freddie or issues with unqualified home buyers being granted mortgages. Somehow, Dodd managed to escape with his job after this debacle but now is embroiled in a scandal over the bonus compensation the executives at American international Group (AIG:NYSE)have received.

As the turmoil around AIG continues to evolve, it is interesting to note that a top recipient of campaign contributions from AIG, rivaling President Obama, is Dodd. Dodd has been caught skirting the truth at best in this scandal, as his incompetence continues to hurt this country.

Our Congressional representation thinks America is back lashing at these bonuses being paid to AIG workers, but they are mistaken. America is pissed at the Congress, and quickly becoming disappointed in President Obama, who I think is learning on the fly while he drastically aims to enact policy that places this country in economic, social and geopolitical peril.

Florida Voting Booth Debacle

As depressing as it is to have the Florida Gators as national champions of college football, it will drive you to drink thinking of some of the absolute idiots representing us in congress.

Corrine Brown, (D:FL), takes the floor to congratulate her alma mater, The University of Florida, on their recent national title. Grab your blood pressure medicine and take a listen as the English language is mangled by Representative Brown:

It is mind boggling to think someone went to the voting booth and pulled the lever for someone who cannot command our language. Perhaps she had been drinking? Thankfully, I am no stranger to grabbing a tall cool one. But hey, the Gators don't take no jive!

Amateur Hour at The White House

After the election of Barack Obama, I pledged myself to make every effort to support him whenever I could and treat him with respect, unlike the despicable behavior bestowed on President Bush by far too many Americans. Obama is making it very difficult, as every day I wake up he is doing something I disagree with and displaying a distasteful level of arrogance in many areas.

Policy disputes are one thing, but disrespecting our country's friends and allies really crosses the line. Mr. and Mrs. Obama apparently made a really negative impression during a recent visit by Britain Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah.

British media have been hammering Obama, including The Telegraph and The Evening Standard, and from what I read, rightly so. Although Obama may not appreciate our relationship with Great Britain, most Americans do. The British have always been our strongest ally, from Lady Thatcher helping Ronald Reagan in winning the Cold War and fighting next to us, as they always have, in the Global War on Terror. Remember that one?

Anyhow, FOX News anchor Glenn Beck discusses this with Nile Gardiner from the Margaret Thatcher Center For Freedom at The Heritage Foundation. Quite appalling!

Arrogance or Ignorance? I'll stick with arrogance for now.

NCAA Penalties Off Balance

After waiting several months, on Friday afternoon, Florida State University received word on the findings and penalties of the NCAA investigation into an academic fraud case from back in 2007.

According to FSU, Florida State University officials said that "they are pleased that the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Committee on Infractions accepted the findings of its investigative committee and acknowledged that nearly all of the penalties self-imposed by the university were appropriate".

The NCAA went a step further, however, and ruled Florida State must vacate all wins in which ineligible athletes in 10 sports competed. In this case, wins will not turn to losses, it will be as if these games had never been played.

Since FSU immediately suspended all players involved upon learning of the problems, which is in line with NCAA guidelines, "We just don't understand the sanction to vacate all wins in athletics contests in which student-athletes competed because we did not allow anyone who we knew was ineligible to compete," FSU President T. K. Wetherell said in a statement.

I am with T.K. here, because first on the list of those to feel the pain of this particular ruling is football coach Bobby Bowden. Coach Bowden, 78, is in a batte with Penn State Coach Joe Paterno as the winningest coach of all time, with Bowden 1 game back prior to this ruling. Given the age of Coach Bowden, this essentially hands the record to Paterno as Bowden would lose 14 victories.

It is most unfortunate these events happened, and those charged with preventing this type of fraud on the academic side were dismissed, including former AD Dave Hart. But, they did, and there are consequences for actions and sometimes folks away from the events suffer as well. No competitive advantage was ever gained from this situation and it was promptly dealt with, to NCAA guidelines, immediately upon FSU having knowledge.

While media pundits around the state feel, and I agree, that the penalties could have been much worse, the vacating of wins forces Bowden to be unfairly stigmatized and face the heaviest penalty. This action by the NCAA is over reaching, as evidenced by a very similar case Oklahoma faced a few years back.

I have known Coach Bowden for over 25 years. For those who have never been in contact with him, he is exactly what you see on television, a competitive, kind and humorous gentleman. Most important to him is his Christian faith and his family, and yes, the Seminole family. I have great respect for him and admire him very much as not only as Coach, but as an individual.

I hope FSU is successful in appealing this part of the sanctions levied, for Coach Bowden is undeserving of this stigma and losing a chance at the record as decided by some suits in Kansas. I am fairly certain Bowdens fans are more worried about it that he is.

I look forward to seeing Coach Bowden in May when he visits Orlando and to putting this unfortunate incident behind the Seminole faithful, of which I am proudly one. Go 'Noles!

Lessons Learned From Giuliani

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, well known for his masterful performance under the extreme duress of the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001, brought New York City back from excessive crime and massive budgetary shortfalls.

The issues Giuliani faced in NYC are not to scale of what the Obama administration currently faces. However, Giuliani's tenure does provide a blueprint for success that can be examined, and unfortunately, the Obama administration is going a different direction. And you wonder why we are cliff diving at the corner of Wall and Broad. Take a listen to Rudy with Neil Cavuto on FOX Business:

AP Edits Out Smith's Firebomb On Obama

As the good ole boys arrived at Speedway Motor Sports(TRK:NYSE) owned Atlanta Motor Speedway in preparation for the running Sunday of the Kobalt Tools 500, legendary track owner and promoter Bruton Smith went off on a tangent for reporters gathered.

Media reports suggest Smith covered a wide range of topics, ranging from NASCAR's movement to start races later in the day, tracks that Smith feels are lacking in consumer friendly areas and the impact of the first months of a Barack Obama presidency.

I came to find out about Smith's tirade in an article in The Orlando Sentinel, which you can read here. Audio of Smith's comments can be heard here. The Chicago Tribune, whose parent company also owns The Orlando Sentinel, also had an article written by an AP sports writer on Smith's news conference, which you can read here.

Surprisingly, however, there is an astonishing omission in the Tribune article. It seems the derogatorily comments Smith made about Obama were not included in the Chicago Tribune article. It would seem to me that the omission of these comments provides us with yet another example of media bias in favor of Mr. Obama. Certainly, in light of the current events surrounding the topic of anti-business policies and the rapid erosion of consumer confidence, Smiths comments on Obama were important and should have been included in the AP story. This would beg the question what other items on various stories are the Associated Press and Chicago Tribune editing out for your benefit?

Smith was incensed that Obama is attacking corporations and their sponsorship of events such as the NASCAR races Smith promotes. Intimidation is indeed hampering corporate involvement in events like this, although it is not a problem for the do as I say not as I do Obama Administration, as evidenced by VP gaffmaster Joe Biden meeting with the AFL-CIO at the very posh Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach. The full scale assault on prosperity by the Obama administration is certainly ruffling some feathers. And rightly so!

Center of the Universe

Coming my way via email today was this interesting map. It takes into account the idiocy going on with our elected officials and gives us a landscape of the future of The United States. Click on it for a closer view.

Thought to keep in mind. THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA!

How are the economic conditions in Nebraska? FOX Business babe Liz Claman, who we are very fond of here at BAHL's Blog, discusses the climate with Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman(R)and a potential trip to Lincoln to root on the Cornhuskers! Have at it:

Obama Wealth Destruction

With good reason, many individuals from various walks of life are second guessing casting their vote for Barack Obama, who essentially has created war against small business and the investor class; prosperity for that matter.

A famous voice on Wall Street and Obama supporter, CNBC's Jim Cramer, made a plea on his nightly show Mad Money for Obama to change course on his economic policies before it is too late. Take a listen:

Over at NBC News, where the love fest with Obama continues daily as the stock price of their parent company, General Electric (GE:NYSE), continues to cliff dive, correspondent Tom Costello, a former CNBC reporter himself, fires some questions at Obama Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, who is fresh off an altercation with CNBC reporter Rick Santelli, and Gibbs continues his assault on CNBC, and thus us, the investor class: Listen up:

The destruction of wealth since Obama's election has been beyond alarming. Considering the uncertainty he is imposing on the market through seemingly daily and erratic governmental interaction and regulation and his astounding lack of economic knowledge, particularly with respect to role capital investment plays in providing the fuel needed to ignite and engage the expansion of economic progress, it is easy to see why Wall Street is in full scale retreat.

As Cramer accurately points out, "Hey it's amateur hour at our darkest moment." Make no mistake, Wall Street is Main Street. If you aim to destroy Wall Street, the collateral damage will be no doubt found on Main Street. Look around!

Snow on the Plains

After splitting the first two games of a weekend series at Auburn, a young Florida State baseball team was set Sunday to capture the series on the diamond. Unfortunately, the game was snowed out. Yeah, no misprint here, to much snow to play the game. That's right, in Auburn, Alabama. See below:

You may be surprised to learn that in his some 30 years of as the manager of the 'Noles, this is the first game manager Mike Martin can recall being called for snow, particularly in the deep south confines of the Southeastern or Atlantic Coast Conferences.

Popular blog Gateway Pundit details a scheduled civil disobedience global warming protest scheduled for Washington, D.C. this morning. Oh boy! I recommend stopping by The Home Depot (HD:NYSE) and grabbing a few generators and a dozen or so space heaters as it could get ugly out there.

In the scam of the stimulus, we are set to spend billions on this junk science otherwise known as global warming while we continue to get bombarded with evidence that global warming is speculative at best. Someone with some intelligence needs join John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel, to get in the way of this scam, which is rivaling the most serious in history.

Since this blog began in January 2008, we have documented amazing items like Sprint Cup practice cancelled at Atlanta Motor Speedway last year due to snow showers (the boys are heading back to AMS this weekend), snow covering Tiger Stadium, home of the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge, LA and record low temperatures here in Orlando, including an effort at one this morning.

Enough already!

UPDATE 3/3/2009

Regarding the billion dollar expenditures coming our way mentioned above, take a listen to an interview Glenn Beck has with economist and actor Ben Stein:
