No Doubt

No doubt.

That is my usual reaction each day after reading the brilliant editorial cartoons of Michael Ramirez of Investors Business Daily.

Are you reading IBD?  You should be.

In IBD, beyond the magnificent coverage of the capital markets and their proprietary stock evaluation tools, you will read in the best editorial page going "what is really going on".  In addition, you will find the exemplary work of Michael Ramirez.

This past week, Ramirez has been rockin, presenting profound and ingenious reflections on events of the week as only he can.  Please take a look at these, along with our limited commentary.

The media, a national disgrace these days, no longer hides their bias toward the Obama administration and the progressive ideology.  It would be laughable if the results of this bias were not having such a negative effect on our nation.  The ever increasing legions of low information voters are easily persuaded, particularly after cleverly placed first impressions, by packaged propaganda.  As Ronald Reagan once said, the trouble with our friends on the left is they know so much that isn't so.  We can blame in large measure the criminally complicit news media for the lack of political knowledge of those citizens who have failed in their responsibility as citizens to stay adequately informed.

Certainly, the progressive Democrats are no fans of those who claim to be among the members of the Tea Party.  After all, Tea Party members seek adherence to our Constitution, limited government, fiscal responsibility and power to the people in direct contrast to the big government elitists who aim to control citizen behavior for the common good as they know better.  Sadly, a large portion of the GOP is in lockstep with the progressives, longing for the day when they can yield their power.  Any doubt of this should have departed following the grotesque political events from Mississippi this week.  The GOP will not attack the left, most notably President Obama, who are destroying our nation as founded, but due their thirst for power, will firebomb Conservatives with wreckless abandon.  John Adams and the gang would be peeved to say the least.

Let's get ready for Hillary.  The coronation of Hillary Clinton for the 2016 Democratic nomination for president is in full swing with her embarking on a book tour in various cities complete with meet and greets.  The book has been a flop, and there have been several missteps by Ms. Clinton along the tour.  The book is titled "Hard Choices", but as I see it, she has not made any.  Ms. Clinton is presented as among the most accomplished women in history, but this is complete nonsense and a slap to the face of Babe Didrikson Zaharias.  Clinton won a NY Senate seat, although she was not a resident of the state, and has little to no legislative marks to her credit.  Her tenure as Secretary of State was horrendous, beginning with a "reset" debacle with Russia to the scandalous and despicable events of Benghazi.  Due to the media love affair with this women, second only to that of another of limited accomplishment in Obama, many in America have a high approval rating of Hillary.  In truth, she is a Saul Alinsky disciple, and admirer of Frances Fox Piven and Margaret Sanger, and someone who like Obama does not see America in the way that you do.  In fact, she is an empty pantsuit with very little accomplishment having made no hard choices.  Ask Christopher Stevens.

What If?

What if?

What if America never existed?

Best selling author Dinesh D'Souza, whose recent work regarding the background, motivations  and misunderstood ambitions of President Obama has been compelling and spot on, teams with award winning producer Gerald Molen to bring us "America" The Movie, which hits movie theaters, appropriately, in approach of the July 4th holiday.  Take a look see at the trailer.

I believe our country was divinely inspired, with our founding fathers, brilliant men, risking their lives, fortunes and sacred honor, presenting us with a gift of liberty; lighting the flame of freedom. Throughout the history of our nation, we have certainly experienced a slew of growing pains. Our founders expected this, and expected the people to right the mistakes along the way.

As Ronald Reagan once said, this country was founded and built by people with great dreams and the courage to take great risks

George Washington, the indispensable man, was an exceptional individual who took many risks in the battles that helped give birth to our nation. What if Washington's armies failed in their effort to defeat the British?

In his new film, D'Souza examines that question among others.  Another question D'Souza pondered is whether American wealth based on theft and oppression?  D'Souza, as noted on his website, makes the moral case for capitalism.

Washington would have agreed, noting that a moral component "was a necessary spring of popular government".  Faith, hope and charity and the capitalist free market economic system, one which gives power to the people through liberty and freedom, is the heartbeat of our nation.

Reagan also said freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction.  It is not our by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it only comes once to a people.  Those who have known freedom and lost it never know it again.

As D'Souza noted, America is currently at a crossroads.  If America did not exist, terminated at any point along the way in our brief history, the world would be a very, very dark place with evil running roughshod.

America; imagine the world without her?  Check out "America" The Movie and find out!

Hail To The Redskins

The fact that the world is on fire matters not to a powerful ruling class, who know they are on the verge of major gains in their attempt to turn America into a tyrannical oligarchy.  The scandals, are not really scandals, as they are a means to an end to crash the system as defined through the Cloward and Piven strategy.

You would think our President would be spending most waking moments dealing with the potential loss of Iraq, and the consequences there of.  No, he is golfing, and fundraising, and amidst all the chaos, has escalated his effort to transform America.

Case in point; the ruling yesterday by the US Patent Office, without question at the direction of President Obama, cancelling the trademarks of the Washington Redskins of the National Football League.   The Redskins, who have their own fight song, are among the most established, traditional and lucrative brands around.

Roy Helu, JR. of the Washington Redskins
Shall we back up and follow the trail, Indian style, on how this orchestrated event came to pass. Make no mistake; it is on the command of the Obama regime.

Late last fall, as reported by The New York Times, President Obama weighed in claiming "legitimate concerns over Redskins name".  TheTimes noted that in response to a letter presented by 10 congressional members that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wrote back saying the Redskins name was “a unifying force that stands for strength, courage, pride and respect.”

A month or so ago, 49 members of the US Senate, all Democrats, wrote the Roeger Goodell urging the league to endorse the change of the Redskins' name.  Democrat Florida Senator Bill Nelson, who as far as I know has not lifter finger to earn the release of Sgt. Andrew Tahmoorhessi, one of his constituents, from captivity in Mexico, took time to write his own letter as he was unavailable to sign with the other members.

Meanwhile, the 2014 College Football National Champion Florida State Seminoles, although having presented several dates for consideration, have been unsuccessful in the planning the traditional nation champion visit to the White House.  As an alumni of Florida State University, I am fine skipping an afternoon with Obama, but the inability for the White House to make this tradition happen, given the attack on the Redskins name, raises the eyeballs.

Last week, again with the middle east on fire, President Obama made a rare presidential visit to an Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota, telling those gathered his "administration is determined to partner with tribes".

Then came the bombshell announcement by the patent office, catching most everyone by surprise.

Redskin owner Daniel Snyder, who reportedly contributed to the Romney campaign in 2012, is in the cross hairs of Obama for steadfastly denying any and all request to consider changing the Redskin name.

The ruling was supposed levied due to the Redskin name being viewed as disparaging by some and considered a racial slur of Native Americans.  This is quite ridiculous, as Oklahoma means "red people" and I don't hear a peep about changing the name of the Sooner state or universities within the state.

In fact, the Redskin name came from an effort to honor their inaugural head coach, who was Native American. Opponents of the Redskin name are now calling Lone Star Dietz an "impostor", aiming, to discredit and destroy any and all traditions that get in the way of their objective.

Many sportswriters across the nation have jumped on the bandwagon, with some vowing to not use the Redskin name in their work.  This includes longtime NFL writer Peter King and The Kansas City Star newspaper.

George Diaz, of the hometown Orlando Sentinel, penned an utterly ridiculous editorial, which clearly exhibited his liberal bias.  While he find the Redskin tradition a relic of the past that needs to be buried, although I champion his right to pen it, I found his column offensive.

Forget the Redskins.

If President Obama was so inclined, perhaps buoyed by a small vocal group, perhaps financially compensated,  might he direct the patent office to cancel the trademarks of The Coca Cola Company (KO:NYSE) or the McDonalds (MCD:NYSE) corporation because the First Lady finds their product contributes to obesity?

Although a historical hoax, will President Obama, peeved by the nation continuing to buy SUV's, direct the patent office to cancel the trademarks of Ford and General Motors because they continue to make vehicles that, according to the global warming crowd, are significantly contributing to the demise of the world?

Where will one throw anchor on this slippery slope?

Obama is crashing the system in an effort to gain power over the people.  Part of the effort is, as Michelle Obama worded it in 2008,  "we're going to have to change our traditions, our history; we're going to have to move into a different place as a nation."

Will the history or traditional a powerful elitist from the ruling class want to change be one you value?

Before you join in the celebration of the government, on a whim, leveling attack on private property, you may want to think twice, for there may not be anyone around to protect the tradition you hold dear when the deem it inappropriate.

Hail to the Redskins!

High Treason

I should have seen something like this coming.  After all , it was a beautiful Saturday here in The City Beautiful, lovely downtown Orlando.

In the aftermath of what was labeled a prisoner exchange, there was President Obama in the Rose Garden with the parents of Bowe Bergdahl, who had reportedly been held captive for approximately five years by the Taliban.  After a series of flashbulbs for the optic, the real details of what had actually took place began to emerge.

Bowe's father, Bob Bergdahl, was gleefully given time at the podium by President Obama and proceeded to speak the Taliban language, with many thinking he was in code claiming the White House for Allah. Whatever it was, I found it offensive.

During the exchange, which was odd in many ways, Bowe Bergdahl seemed very comfortable with his captors.  This would seemingly make sense, since his US commanders, and fellow servicemen, are of the opinion he walked away from his platoon willingly.  Anti-American and military comments that had been posted by Bowe became public knowledge, and it became clear he likely was a deserter.

Meanwhile, Bob Bergdahl, during the captivity of his son, had become quite cosy with the Afghan people, utilizing his Twitter account with frequency.  In days prior to the swap, Bob tweeted he would continue to fight for the Afgahns and will work hard to close Guantanamo Bay.

In contrast, I fully support the continued captivity at Guantanamo Bay of those who wish harm on America.  Obama, not so much.

To secure the "release" of Private Bergdahl,  President Obama granted the freedom of five top level Taliban leaders.  You read that correctly, five of the top Taliban leaders.

The Taliban 5 (click to enlarge)
Shock and outrage!  These are some of the adjectives describing the feelings of much of our citizenry over the release of five high level terrorists for what appears to be a deserter of our military. Many wondered why our administration would agree to do this?

Let me be clear.  President Obama is, at a minimum, sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic interests.  Sadly, within our government, he is not alone.  Keep in mind that the parents of Huma Abedin, chief of staff for Hillary Clinton,  are high level members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

As Dinesh D'Souza had appropriately pointed out with sufficient empirical evidence, Obama views America as a bully, and oppressor on the world stage, and is seeking in his transformation to lower the presence of Uncle Sam, empowering those he views as oppressed providing assistance through angles he is comfortable in getting away with.

Actions speak louder than words.  We know Obama has been delivering weapons to the Taliban, which was the center of what happened in Benghazi, and now, we have what could be considered an act of treason by releasing known enemy combatants, whose motivation is to kill our servicemen, out into the arena of war once again.

I can only pray the injured soldiers, and the families of our veterans lost fighting the Taliban can take some comfort during this time, and know that many Americans stand with them, shoulder blade to shoulder blade. God Bless you all!

I do not know how you define aiding and abetting the enemy, but I find this action exactly that.  In addition, the official position of the United States is not to negotiate with known terrorists, which has obviously taken place.  Except, Obama does not view the Taliban as terrorists; rather freedom fighters.  Those freedom fighters are fighting against, you guessed it, us.

On a multitude of fronts, President Obama is failing as President, running an arrogant and lawless administration with destructive results.  But these actions, assisting known terrorist and enemies of the United States of America, should put his impeachment on the fast track.

In the words of liberal professor Jonathan Turley, Obama's "become the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid".

Judge Jeanine Pirro, sharing our disgust in this matter, makes a compelling case for impeachment.

Brat Threatens DC Business As Usual

Last week, in what appeared to be a stunning upset, Dave Brat, a literal unknown to a group think biased mainstream media, easily defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in their Virgina GOP primary election.
Dave Brat
Brat ran on old school republican principles, which 35 years ago would have been mainstream.  However, in the world we live in today, Brat is considered extreme by the mainstream media and a threat to the daily goings on in Washington by the elite ruling class, that of which, sadly included Rep. Cantor.

Cantor had this loss coming.

He was considered a conservative when he entered Congress with such promise, but over time, not only did he forget about his home district while embracing corporations, business individuals and government engaged in crony capitalism if not crony socialism, he was embracing Obama policies, such as immigration reform, and openly working to punish those in his party deemed members of the Tea Party.
Rep. Eric Cantor
Those Tea Party members, albeit there is no actual party and these are regular citizens against a growing government, are the ones who put Cantor into Congress, and they are the ones who threw him out

In his concession speech, it was clear Cantor had no idea what hit him. Cantor vowed to continue to work hard for working class families, clueless that the infiltration in the marketplace by the government, notably through regulation and taxation, is the main problem working class families, defined here as employed families struggling to make it versus union members as defined by the left, face.

In the race, Brat had very limited capital, and was not given help from national organizations such as Tea Party Patriots and Freedom Works.  While he was endorsed by a pair of radio talk show hosts, Laura Ingaham and Mark Levin, he won this race on the merits the old fashioned way.

Brat based his campaign on six Reaganesque principles, which were the following:

That the free enterprise system is the most productive supplier of human needs and economic justice,

That all individuals are entitled to equal rights, justice, and opportunities and should assume their responsibilities as citizens in a free society,

That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of government,

That the Federal Government must preserve individual liberty by observing Constitutional limitations,

That peace is best preserved through a strong national defense,

That faith in God, as recognized by our Founding Fathers is essential to the moral fiber of the Nation.

Outside of those who lack faith in their lives, who are the folks among our citizenry that do not agree with these founding principles?  I sure do, and I think Brat will challenge what has clearly been a dysfunctional and broken Washington DC.

Many are quite concerned over the Cantor loss, and it may not be who you think it is.  While progressive GOP members come to mind, it is really those over on the corner of Wall and Broad in the caverns of Wall Street with grave concern. Joe Weisenthal over at Business Insider implies Wall Street should be "terrified" and others noted a loss of a friend.

Without question, Brat is a threat to Wall Street, as things currently are up there, as it is not the same as it was 20 years ago, due to infiltration through open market operations and political activism.  As such, many consider it somewhat of a rigged game, and as an investor of over 30 years, I agree.

Brat would welcome capital markets not politically influenced; a true free market system of buyers and sellers, without promised bailouts, too big to fail and a lack of accountability.  Wouldn't we all.

Sen Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R:KY, had proclaimed the Tea Party would be crushed in very election.  Sadly, Matt Bevin failed to take him out, but crushed indeed was Eric Cantor, the first time in history a majority leader has lost in a primary.

Those progressive leaders, who are among the ruling class thinking they know better than the people, which is in contrast to our founding documents, should beware.  We will not win them all, but our voice will be heard loudly, as Sen. Tad Cochran, R:MS, and Cantor found out.

One thing that can be sure; the increasing lack of Constitutional governance in DC are indicative of the future results if the citizenry keeps voting in politicians consumed with power.  Therefore, I welcome election results like we saw the other night in Virginia.

Welcome Dave Brat!

A Note of Thanks

I just wanted to thank all our regular readers, those who visit from time to time, and any new readers that have recently engaged BAHL Revere!  We are consistently averaging just over 100 page hits on a daily basis, which for what we do, is good.  The blog, after all,  is not to be confused with The Blaze!

With the world seemingly on fire, all events of orchestration by enemies, foreign, and yes, domestic, real world events at the homestead have placed a reduction on blogging activity.  As free time permits, we aim to increase it back to normal levels.

On BAHL Revere, we loathe political correctness; giving you the truth as we see it without worry about insulting individuals or groups.  As they say on the NASCAR circuit; lead, follow or get out the way.

For those who were unaware, we do have an accompanying Facebook page, which we encourage you to check out.  It takes far less time to throw up a Facebook post that to write a blog post, where increasingly every posted sentence must be reviewed to stand any challenges.  We appreciate debate and enjoy respectful discussion on the battlefield of ideas.

Anyhow, posted below is a recent Facebook post.  If you are so inclined, please like us and feel welcome to share any of our activity.

We know your time is limited, and we thank all our readers for choosing to spend some time with BAHL Revere.  Keep up the fight for freedom and God Bless You All!

The Hall of BAHL

Sports is and always has played a significant role in my life. I have found that most all of life's lessons are learned between the lines. Discipline, individual responsibility, teamwork and sportsmanship are among many opportunities presented within the games that offer guidance to prosper in life.

Over the years, there have been many individuals associated with sports that I have looked up to, been a fan of, owned a jersey of or just pulled for. These are my guys, and although it has not always been a road without bumps for many, these are my guys. In an effort to recognize these folks, I have formed The Hall of BAHL.

Individuals making this list may or may not be the greatest ever players, coaches or ambassadors, but they are my favorites.

Each year, I will induct five members into The Hall of BAHL. In honor of my good buddy and Sportsman Big Ole BudFeiser, who we lost in 2011 and who I grew up playing sports with, each class will annually be announced on his birthday, June 13.

The inductees for the 2014 Hall of BAHL class are listed in no particular order below:

MIKE ROZIER

Although my beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers had won back to back national titles in 1970-71, I was quite young and was unable to completely enjoy the ride.  As the early eighties arrived, a collection of talent that came together in Lincoln that created an environment of championship expectations, culminating in 1983 with a pre-seaason Number 1 ranking based on the scoring explosion, a lethal offense led by playmakers QB Turner Gill, FL Irving Fryar and I-Back Mike Rozier.

Rozier was not blessed with blazing breakway speed, but few were blessed with such nimble moves and sheer toughness as Rozier.  As Rozier emerged at Nebraska, during his junior year, the Cornhukser coaching staff moved future NFL Hall of Famer Roger Craig from tailback to fullback to get Rozier on the field.

A bruising runner, Rozier punished would be tacklers; if the could get a hit on him.  He crushed a guy at K-State, and used his ability to make tacklers miss in a highlight touchdown run in Lincoln versus UCLA.

During his senior season, one which culminated with Rozier winning the Heisman Trophy, he set many records helping Nebraska reach the 50th Orange Bowl to play for the national title and an undefeated season.  The 'Husker defense was not as stout as the offense in 1983, and with Rozier tearing up an ankle having to miss the second half, the Big Red fell short against Miami 30-31.

Rozier went on the United States Football League, but could never get rolling due to the ankle.  An opportunity to play in the NFL emerged, and Rozier answered the call, making the Pro Bowl with the Houston Oliers.

Life is good these days for Mkie Rozier.  He turns heads with his wardrobe during the annual Heisman Trophy presentation and has become a fan favorite in ESPN's Heisman House commercials.

Thankfully, Mike Rozier remains close to the Nebraska program, availing himself to his legions of beloved fans.  I am one of those fans, and welcome Camden, New Jersey's Mike Rozier to The Hall of BAHL.

DERRICK BROOKS

Arriving from Pensacola Washington High School as a strong safety, Derrick Brooks became perhaps the finest linebacker ever to play at Florida State University, helping the Seminoles win their first National Championship in 1993.

Derrick Brooks
Brooks was everywhere, somewhat rewriting the position with a rare combination of speed and strength, destroying opposing offensive efforts via ground or air.  The ability to come off the edge and disrupt the quarterback at opportune times, using his high level of intelligence, changed the complexion of many games.  Derrick also collected turnovers, and from his position on defense, found paydirt many times during his famed career.

The two time consensus All-American was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whom he helped lead to a Super Bowl Championship in 2002.  During his NFL career, Brooks was a consistent Pro Bowl performer, having named Defensive Player of the Year in 2002.  Brooks was appropriately elected to the NLF Hall of Fame in 2014.  Perhaps his greatest achievement was having been named the 2000 co-recipient of the NFL's Water Payton Man of the Year, an award derived to recognize excellence on, and off, the gridiron.

Brooks remains close to the Florida State family, having been named to the Florida State University Board of Trustees.  Brooks is an outstanding ambassador for FSU, and the State of Florida.

Derrick Brooks
A fine man and among the best players to ever suit it up for both Florida State and Tampa Bay, I am thrilled to have Derrick Brooks join the Hall of BAHL.

KYLE PETTY

It seems only natural, having been a longtime fan of Richard Petty, to also become a fan of his son Kyle as his stock car career took shape.  It was an added plus, that as I was becoming a fan, Kyle was piloting Pontiac's out of the Felix Sabates stable.

There were highlights in the racing career of Kyle Petty, which included sitting on the pole for the 1992 Daytona 500 in his Mello Yellow sponsored Pontiac Grand Prix, and winning at Dover after starting 37th at Dover in his Coor's Light Pontiac Grand Prix.

Kyle had an attitude, and this made being his fan fun. We cheered when he punched Bobby Hillin for wrecking him out of the aforementioned 500.

With Kyle's time behind the wheel winding down, he spent time grooming his son Adam, who many thought had the talent of Richard which seemed to elude Kyle, for a shot a Sprint Cup.

Adam was well on his way, with that Petty smile, to big things on the Spring Cup Series when his life tragically came to an end in a practice session at New Hampshire International Speedway.  Adam's death, as you may imagine, hit Kyle and his family hard.

Kyle changed his car number from 44 to 45, Adam's number, after his death.  Sprint and Wells Fargo were sponsors.  I had a chance to see Kyle and Adam race together in a Busch Series race at Daytona International Speedway, which I cherish.

But, in impressive fashion, Kyle wanted to honor Adam with something meaningful and long lasting. The death of Adam Petty gave birth to The Victory Junction Gang, a camp honoring Adam for children with chronic diseases which over the years, has brought a tremendous amount of joy to these children and their families.  This has been an inspiration to us all.

Full disclosure, one of my companies held an annual golf tournament which raised money for Victory Junction Gang, and its local partner, Camp Boggy Creek.

Kyle has retired as driver, and has found a home as an analyst for Sprint Cup Racing with FOX Sports and TNT Sports.   Petty remains opinionated, ruffling feathers along the way.  There are many times I disagree with Kyle, but I know his thoughts come from his line of thinking, and that is fair.

While Kyle was driving, he drove some really cool looking cars.  Two Pontiacs I especially liked were his Mello Yellow Pontiac and his Hot Wheels Pontiac.  Through his television career, we continue to get a chance to viist with Kyle all along the circuit.  Kyle Petty is welcomed as a 2014 Hall of BAHL inductee.

DEION SANDERS

I remember my Mother had watched Florida State get killed at Florida, and while we were in depression, she pointed out that that your man on defense who returns kicks is really special.  Indeed, in all my years, Deion Sanders, perhaps along with Bo Jackson, is perhaps the most gifted athlete I have been around.

Deion arrived as an unheralded recruit out of North Fort Myers, but it only took a practice for the coaches to recognize that they had a world class athlete that could take the program to the top.

Sanders dazzled from the get go, receiving All America honors and wining the Jim Thorpe Award as the nations top defensive back.  "Prime Time" was at his best against top competition, toying with some and outclassing many.  Sanders picked a pass in the end zone to preserve a Sugar Bowl victory over Auburn and blistered Clemson on a 75 yard punt return in the Puntrooskie game at Death Valley.

Sanders calls out Clemson prior to punt return TD
With Neon Deion a human highlight film on the gridiron, it is noted that Sanders ran track at FSU, running a leg of a 4X100 relay in his football pants, and starred on the baseball team. While at FSU, Sanders was always singled out, by both Bobby Bowden and Mike Martin, as among the hardest working athletes ever to wear the garnet and gold.

Sanders went on to a Hall of Fame career in the NFL, most notably with the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys. In addition, Sanders starred with the Atlanta Braves, becoming the first player to score a touchdown in the NFL and hit a home run in MLB in the same week.  Astonishing!

Without question, Deion Sanders is among the greatest athletes of our time, recording record setting performances in College Football, The National Football League and Major League Baseball.

I am thankful to have witnessed many of his historical performances in person, and currently enjoy his work with the NFL Network.  It is a pleasure welcome Deion "Prime Time" Sanders to the Hall of BAHL.

LEE CORSO

Unfortunately, for the longest time, I only knew of Lee Corso from a historical perspective.  I followed his coaching career at Indiana and heard all the stories of his record setting skills as a defensive back at Florida State in the late 1950's.  Yep, no matter the age, all FSU football scholars were well aware of the stellar career at FSU of "The Sunshine Scooter"

I first met Corso when he became Head Coach of the Orlando Renegades of the USFL in 1985.  It only lasted a year, but Orlando really enjoyed that team and it was great fun back in those days.

However, Corso is now a beloved star across the nation due to his performances on ESPN's Gameday.  The show is tremendous, pushed to must see status by the antics of Corso.  At first, it was simply the pencil and his frequent politicking for beautiful downtown Orlando, where Corso remains a resident up in the Alaqua area.

Corso reached new heights when he started assuming mascot costume status for his final pick of the day, jousting fans along the way.  This is must see viewing for the college football fan, and has really become part of the historical fabric of the color and pageantry of the game.

Fans across the nation cheer Corso, mobbing him at public appearances seeking pictures and autographs.  These are great times for Corso, who is well deserving.  As fans, we are lucky to still have an opportunity to enjoy his Gameday antics, as a stroke in 2009 almost ended it all.

At FSU, Corso was roommates with Burt Reynolds and remains regarded as part of a core of a historical that helped FSU get on the map.  Corso, due to his capacity at ESPN, is asked not to publicly cheer for his beloved Seminoles, and while he remains quite professional, he can't hide his pride and love for the Seminoles.

Long before Gameday, as Seminoles, the "Sunshine Scooter" held a special place in our hearts.  Now, we find difficulty in having our college football Saturday's kickoff without him.  Corso loves the game of college football, and we love him.  It is an honor to welcome Lee Corso as a 2014 inductee in the Hall of BAHL.

Media Snapshot

Rush Limbaugh very accurately points out that there is no real news media.

Talking points are derived by the powers that be, distributed to participatory media outlets which include ABC, CBS, and NBC.  They are then presented to the public in cohesive fashion.

For those interesting in testing this theory, compilations of key words from the participatory media outlets have been put together, and while entertaining, the reality of the failure of the media to be objective is no laughing matter.

Without question, the mainstream media is completely in the tank for President Obama, and in not pursuing him with relevant questions on issued of constitutional and national security violations, they are deemed criminally complicit.

In recent years, beauty pageants, of all things, have brought glaring example of this theory, cementing its authenticity.

Sunday night,  Ian Ziering, an actor from Beverly Hills 90210, asked Miss Louisiana whether the government was right to release five Guantanamo Bay prisoners in exchange for American POW Bowe Bergdahl.  Miss Nevada, Nia Sanchez, who went on to win Miss USA, was asked about about the high rate of sexual assaults on college campuses.  The fourth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do demonstrated Tae (strength of mind) and scored big points with her answer.

If only President Obama would get questions he did not see previously that asked appropriate questions the citizenry would like to know.

Dennis Miller agrees.

Breach of Trust

As noted in the swearing in of office for our President, he takes an oath, or affirmation, to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.  With Obama, this stands in contrast to his public proclamation that the Constitution is a flawed document.

Generally, the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf.--Barack Obama in 2001.

Beyond the aforementioned troublesome conflict, an integral part of government, particularly between the President and the people, is a level of trust. Seemingly governing against the will of the people and without respect for the built in checks and balances of our system, President Obama has repeatedly breached that trust.

As troubling as many of the many instances of operation outside these constraints are, the IRS scandal traveled into uncharted territory.  Analyzatoin of this scandal identified findings that noted clear violations of the first and fourth amendments of our Constitution.  Therefore, the appropriate call for the resignation, or impeachment, of President Obama was presented on this blog.

In recent weeks, the breach of trust between the citizenry and our President escalated to the downside, reaching an appalling level, and added a third player; our military.

As we have a bond with those of our citizens who have placed their lives in peril to protect this great country, we have always known the Veterans Administration hospitals have not operated at an appropriate level.  After all, they are operated by the government.

Campaigning for president in 2008, candidate Barack Obama repeatedly hammered George W. Bush on the VA, claiming he would fix all the issues should he be elected.  As President, seemingly still in full campaign mode, Obama continued to offer rhetoric on how he will lift the VA to standards to a standard we all would appreciate.  He did so in a speech in Orlando in 2013.

For those failing to get a participatory trophy in the arena of following politics, allegations of criminal mistreatment of our veterans at VA hospitals have emerged.  Upon learning about these allegations on the news, President Obama vowed to get the facts an take appropriate action.

The widening scandal centers on Veterans Administration Hospitals placing Veterans in need of care on secret list, falsifying appointment records, allowing administrators to receive bonuses while making the agency appear to be functioning adequately.  Veterans, among our finest treasure, died while on hold on the secret list.

Veterans DIED!

The list of hospitals engaged in this action is ballooning to a staggering number.  No longer allegations and a matter of reality, the findings in this wide ranging scandal are appalling, criminal and a dereliction of duty by all those in position to oversee this agency.

With public outrage escalating, President Obama accepted with regret the resignation of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki.  Regret?  Even MSNBC noted that "finding a scapegoat to blame is a very poor substitute for fixing the problem." The FBI is investigating what was transpiring under the leadership of these men, and with any luck, a condo in the graybar hotel may be in their future.

We are not going to get in the weeds discussing the various levels of despicable behavior, mismanagement and criminal activity associated with the various hospitals.  However, we will note the following:

*  This is an example of government run health care, and obviously, the results are beyond poor and literally life threatening.  Had this been on display for public perusal when Obamacare was being pushed, public support would have crumbled.  Perhaps this scandal will open some eyeballs of the low information crowd currently drowning in a culture of irrelevance.

*  While you are outraged, President Obama is not.  Obama, in conjunction with noting his disdain for our military, sees the deaths of aging people, who are no longer productive in society, inclusive of veterans, a win on the funding ledger.  This is part of the Complete Lives System, a directional plan headed by Ezekiel Emanuel, which does include those death panels Sarah Palin warned you about.

*  If the administration really was concerned about the care of our Veterans, they would have immediately opened up care for Veterans in need to any hospital under Obamacare.  No wait, come get the care we promised you and that you deserve.  It has not happened.

* The actions of the VA administrators, which have resulted in deaths of our Veterans, represents criminal activity and those responsible must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Given the cloud level arrogance of our President, who is bent on transforming our country to his desire, we recognize he would never put the country first (ironically the slogan for the McCain-Palin 2008 campaign) and resign office. As such, we have previously called for his impeachment.

The legal case is solid on a handful of issues, but the IRS scandal would be the avenue to pursue.

Until now.

Our country cannot let stand the abysmal treatment of our beloved Veterans by this administration.

Given this was a campaign cause for the candidacy of Obama and recounted in speeches as President as recently as last year, the dereliction of duty in this matter is so grave the integrity of those in leadership can longer be accepted.

Beyond failure to faithfully execute the mission statement of the agency, a irrevocable breach of trust has occurred.  While the breach of trust between this lawless administration and the citizenry is quite regretful, the breach of trust with our beloved Veterans is unacceptable.

Those engaged in cultivating this problem should not be candidates to solve the problem, and a monumental one it is.  Our current leadership has lost all integrity and can no longer be trusted to serve in the best interest of The United States of America.

Therefore, once again, we call for the immediate impeachment of President Barack Obama.

Penalty Served

Throughout my driving career, I was thrilled to have been fixed firmly in the seat in the camp of General Motors.

Outside of a Jeep Cherokee I purchased in 1992, my garage has been filled with Pontiac Grand Prix GXP's and Chevrolet Trucks.  Notwithstanding current recall issues, the GM products I have owned have been outstanding.

However, GM, with deep financial issues as the 2008 financial crisis hit Uncle Sam, the company made decisions which I strongly opposed.  There were three main issues that were prominent in my disgust, and they are as follows:

*  GM embraced the decision to take government funding, fully understanding the conditions that were associated with the acceptance, which centered around green energy initiatives based on global climate change, which is the greatest hoax of all time.

*  GM made the decision to jettison the proud and iconic Pontiac Motor Division. ending production in 2010.  The decision was heavily influenced by a young team assembled by President Obama ill-equipped for such consult.  These folks, who would not know a Grand Am from a Dodge Dart, had little appreciation for the American muscle car history and were economic imbeciles.

*  Having put themselves in a poor position, the company had little choice than to play a role as a campaign supporter for President Obama, who was actively plotting against the long term success of the company by forcing the company to meet energy standards that limit the long term profitability of the company.  Remember Osama Bin Laden is dead but General Motors is alive?

Well, this longtime GM customer is not going to take that lying down.

What little hair I have left remains on fire over the demise of Pontiac.  In addition, any company supporting the most destructive President in the history of America must be penalized, and the revenues for that penalty must be financial.

A numerical figure for the penalty I have assessed General Motors is approximately $35,000.  It is levied in the form of a 2014 Ford Explorer XLT.

The Real Heroes!

Ten years ago today, on June 5, 2004, America lost a true hero in our 40th President, Ronald Reagan.

Ronald Reagan embodied all the characteristics we should seek in a president.  Reagan was a freedom loving man, who placed God and country first, embracing American exceptionalism and rugged individualism seeking to leave all he influenced with the flame of freedom, with aspiration and hope for a better future.

Ronald Reagan at Normandy
Unlike our current Commander in Chief, who has disdain for our military, Reagan had a special bond with our men and women in uniform, formed from genuine heartfelt appreciation and respect.

"In times of peace and in times of war America's military power has lead our nation to many great victories."-Ronald Reagan

While there are many instances of Reagan utilizing his wonderful communication skills in praise of the tremendous sacrifice of our military members and their families, few can compare to the speech given by President Reagan at Normandy commemorating the 40th anniversary of D-Day, or The Invasion of Normandy.

The bravery and sacrifice of those who hit Normandy rivals few, and on this day in 1984, President Reagan eloquently said what so very many of us feel and were unable to express.

Please take a listen:

Friday, June 6, 2014, will mark the 70th anniversary of this historic day.

On this day, our hearts and prayers will be with all the brave men lost on that day and those who stormed those beaches in 1944. A face full of tears will flow as we reflect on this day and express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all those who fought to preserve the freedoms we hold dear.

The Real Heroes. Gentlemen; God Bless You All!
