Winston Smith Lives

Winston Smith/1984
Recognize the guy pictured on the left?

If not, you may want to familiarize yourself with him in prompt fashion.

This is Winston Smith, the fictional character in George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four, a must read for everyone. Winston, shown at left in the film presentation, was the protagonist in the all too real story of governmental control and surveillance of the citizenry.

In the novel, at his desk, Smith worked as a clerk in the Records Department of the Ministry of Truth, where his primary responsibility was to rewrite historical documents so they match the constantly changing current party line.

Changing our history.  Does that sound familiar?

Moving into a different place indeed this nation is.

Enter the Smithsonian.  Through their Smart News website, they wish to keep you current.

Smart News reported, snuggled nicely around the Thanksgiving holiday, that The Statue of Liberty Was Originally a Muslim Woman.

There is a very mixed message here, but the timely appearance of the story by the main stream media is not by accident of happenstance.  It NEVER is.

Given the immigration issue, in particular the refugees entering our country without any level of proper vetting, the media want to put a smiley face on the illegal immigrants entering our country; attempting to dictate your position on the issue.

The refugees are being placed with diversity in mind, which will assist the government in their social engineering efforts to change the ethnic, economic and class makeup of neighborhoods. The radical transformation of America continues, and the media want those orchestrating the transformation to have your support!

“Is the Statue of Liberty a Muslim woman? No, she’s not a Muslim woman,” Glenn Beck said on The Glenn Beck Radio Program. “Did it start with an Egyptian woman — a different statue? Yes.”

As reported accurately by Beck:

The Smithsonian’s claim arose from statue designer Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi’s initial design. Originally, after visiting Egypt in 1855, Bartholdi sought to create a statue of an Egyptian woman — who has been assumed Muslim — for the African country.

The monument, tentatively named “Egypt Bringing Light to Asia,” was planned to be an 86-foot tall veiled and robed statue of a woman perched at the entrance of the Suez Canal, according to Smithsonian magazine.

However, when Bartholdi was unsuccessful in pitching the sale to Egyptian leaders, who thought it was too expensive, he turned to the United States. Ultimately, Bartholdi scrapped his original idea in favor of designing a similar statue of a woman personifying liberty.

Bartholdi worked with structural designer Alexandre-Gustav Eiffel on the new endeavor, which they named “Liberty Enlightening the World.” The Statue of Liberty, as it is known today, was intended to be a beacon for immigrants in search of the United States.

The iconic statue was gifted by France to the United States and officially unveiled Oct. 28, 1886, by then-President Grover Cleveland.

So, while it sounds half sort of accurate that Lady Liberty was Muslim when you say it fast, it actually is not.

But, for those hoping to transform our nation to, from than a nation that welcomes legal immigrants who seek a better life in America to an open society nation without borders allowing anyone and everyone to enter freely and reap all the entitlements available presented by a nation free falling into debt while engaged in suicide, it really helps to have your support.

And if you only  heard this story in passing, you might have just fallen for the mainstream media distortion of the facts.

All in a days work for Winston Smith, no doubt a hero to those in our government who seek the transformation of our nation, and that begins with you know who.

Yep, the anti-American with the big ears.
