Internal Tear

While our border is under attack, a lethal terrorist organization runs roughshod in the middle east and 94 million people out of work, many Americans try to enjoy their lives.

Over at Busch Stadium this evening, the St. Louis Cardinals, with Bob Costas throwing out the first pitch (he actually threw 2 of them), are meeting the Cincinnati Reds for the middle game of a three game series.  The house is packed out for this midsummer classic of America's pastime, as it was last night when the Cardinals won 6-5.

Approximately 10 miles northwest, in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, riots have ruled the street in the aftermath of a black teenager of 18 years old having been fatally shot by a white Ferguson Police officer.

Many in this tight knit community, reported as approximately 65% black, feel this action by the police officer was unjust and nothing short of the murdering of a young black man.  Folks in the community, who view the police in this area as non-representative of the people and oppressive, have taken to the streets in a described peaceful protest.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The facts never get in the way of manufactured crisis.

Obviously, I was not in Feguson and do not know what exactly happened.  Like others, I hear eyewitness accounts reported, the police statements and analyzation of so called experts to form a basis of belief.  There is no doubt, a life, with unlimited potential, was needlessly lost.

Media accounts immediately proclaimed the victim, Michael Brown, as a gentle giant, but we have later learned through police evidence released that in the time immediately preceding his death, he strong armed robbed a convenience store, assaulting the clerk on his way out.

Later, when questioned and perhaps directed by an officer, reports suggest he resisted and threatened the officer.  An altercation reportedly ensued (you are placing your life in immediate danger when scuffling with police) which resulted in the officer fatally shooting Brown.

An autopsy reportedly showed Brown was shot six times in the front, with an eyewitness describing Brown was lunging toward the officer after being asked to freeze his position.

While the community labels Brown a hero, although I am disappointed his a young life was needlessly lost, I typically do not shed any tears when folks scuffling with the police are taken out.  There are ways to deal with police officers who are operating outside their authority, and we learned those lessons from a true American hero; Martin Luther King, Jr.

The shooting will be fully investigated, and facts will bear out. I cannot imagine the officer sought in any way for the events of that evening to have these results.  The life of the officer is forever changed, and may in fact be in danger.  He was probably looking forward to football season, but now is in hiding.

In hiding not necessarily from the citizens of Ferguson, although there is that, but from race agitators who have embarked upon the streets of Ferguson, shooting up stores, looting and stirring up race tensions.  The National Guard was called in last night, and that did not stop the non-peaceful protests.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, some real despicable folks who use any racial tension to promote themselves, are heavily involved in the Ferguson area these days, but not in other areas..

In Chicago, black on black murders are numerous, with almost 30 people shot dead there last weekend.  Shaprton does not show up there, nor does Jackson, who calls Chicago home.  In fact, these shootings are taking place in the hometown area of President Obama, who has done little if nothing to stop this, again worth noting, black on black homicide. It does not fit the narrative.

In fact, it would seem Obama administration folks and their progressive supporters, many of whom seek chaos and the destruction of our traditions, are fueling this flame.  It is noted Revolutionary Communists from Chicago are among those outsiders attempting to instigate trouble when the sun goes down.

I noticed on film from last night a black youth, appoximately 17-22 years of age, shooting his way into a business to loot it.  Under the law, this would be considered strong armed robbery, a felony which could net him 25+ behind bars.  You are telling me that because a young man, fresh of a robbery himself, was killed by police, some dope is gong to risk 25 years on his supposed behalf?

Was a preseason NFL matchup between RGIII and Johnny Football that boring?  Doesn't anyone have to go to work in the morning?

It is far time those who harbor resentment in this fashion come to some truths.  The world is your oyster, even against the horrendous economic policies of Obama that are punitive towards you, and anything you wish can be achieved.  The white man is not your enemy; period.  In fact, the white man is among your biggest supporters, as black men and women are our co-workers, our friends, teammates, partners and customers.  As a white man, our success is buoyed by your success. We appreciate your heritage, as we hope you can appreciate ours.  While the public school systems fails miserably to adequately teach this, we fully recognize and are grateful for your contributions in forming this great nation.

Roaming the streets engaging in violence and property damage is not productive and labels you as lacking the adequate levels of intelligence, responsibility and character necessary to be a productive citizen.  Responsible citizens, particularly those whose property was damaged, do not appreciate this from anyone of any race or creed.

There is talk of a national day of rage being organized.  I would caution those eager to embark on this that it would appear to be in violation of the precedent set forth by Dr. King. If you wish to protest, separate yourself from the race baiters and interloping agitators and find adequate, peaceful avenues that exhibit leadership by example.

Enough of the lawlessness.  I call for the immediate arrest of all those breaking the law on the streets of Ferguson as night falls, with the highest legal amount of bail placed in an effort to hold them.  These "peaceful protests" can no longer be tolerated.  In addition, the rhetoric from the chief in lawlessness, Attorney General Eric Holder, who is visiting on Wednesday, is considered sharply biased and invalid.

There is a crowd of folks working hard to tear America apart from within; an internal tear.  They are succeeding.
