VOTES: Pittsburgh (13), North Carolina (17), Notre Dame, Stanford, Brigham Young, Cincinnati, Northwestern, Missouri, Houston, Michigan, Michigan State.

South Carolina opened up the 2010 season looking like the Green Bay Packers in pummeling a normally upstart Southern Miss.....Pitt looked average in losing to Utah, who it appeared wanted it more....Several teams struggled mightily in week one, including Florida, who looked awful. If this is what they got, a top 25 ranking is in jeopardy going forward....Oklahoma also struggled, and welcomes Florida State to Norman this week, which could be trouble as FSU looked very good, albeit facing Samford.....East Carolina won what could only be described as an old fashioned barn burner against Tulsa.....Jacksonville State, who nearly upended Florida State in Tallahassee a year ago, did take out Ole Miss in Oxford. Ouch.....Brigham Young took out Washington, who many felt would be a sleeper this year. Maybe the Huskies are good, and so might BYU be.....North Carolina almost came back and dumped LSU, but no. The Heels had no business being in the game with 9 starters suspended for an academic/agent scandal that could leave a long and nasty footprint on the school. Michigan needed a win badly, and got one over UConn in a big way. Notre Dame is next. USC took out Hawaii, but don't thank the defense which got torched giving up 36 points. TCU held serve beating a solid Oregon State team, as did Boise State, who beat Va. Tech in the last minute. Big win for the Broncos, but the Hokies are not among the nations best, at least right now.

It is a huge weekend upcoming with five must see contests:

Miami at Ohio State
Florida State at Oklahoma
Penn State at Alabama
Georgia at South Carolina
Michigan at Notre Dame
