Alabama served notice by thumping an always tough Penn State team.....Miami's Jacory Harris continues to toss costly INTS......USC looks like a team about to go on a losing streak......West Virgina was very lucky to escape Marshall, but Virginia Tech, with a hangover riding shotgun was not, losing to James Madison, one of our founding fathers....Is the Rick Neuheisel experiment already over at UCLA?....Michigan did not take a late score by the Irish kindly, marching right back down the field for a big win.....Florida thinks their problems are behind them, but they are not.....South Carolina looks real good thus far, and may be the SEC east favorite....Perhaps Oregon is better without a troublemaker at QB, and given what the Quack Attack did in Knoxville, the nation had better look out....After being embarrassed by North Dakota State, Kansas goes out and dumps Georgia Tech.....The ACC had a horrendous weekend, and there is work to do....Minnesota got beat by South Dakota, which is not good....Wake Forest outlasted Duke in the barn burner of the week.

Things are rarely as good as you think nor as bad as they seem. One can only hope. Thankfully, I did not make the trip to Norman, but I was surprised at what I saw out of my Seminoles. I figured the offense would score some points, but they looked lost. Christian Ponder looked juvenile. An offensive line, returning a whopping 152 combined starts, threw lookout blocks all day. I knew the defense has issues, but this whole effort was just pitiful. Someone needs to muzzle our cornerbacks talking smack while giving up 20 yard square outs every three plays. One Seminole reserve offensive lookout alerter was yucking it up late on the sideline. Nothing at all was funny with the folks joining me for the broadcast here in lovely downtown Conway. We take our football seriously.
