Ignorance of Masses Strength of Ruling Class Elites

The power to tax is the power to destroy, and few have more power these days than the Environmental Protection Agency.

With total backing from the Obama administration, the agency is flexing their powerful muscle, in many ways implementing and enforcing executive order in the absence of backing from the normal protocol of legislative action.

The elephant in the room is Global Climate change, perhaps the greatest hoax in centuries and nothing short of a vehicle to increase revenues (taxes in the 2 + 2 = 5 Orwellian times we are living in) and control over the people.

In a recent example of complete absurdity, Maryland Democratic Governor Martin O’Malley, demonstrated the lengths the progressive elites will go to confiscate money from the citizenry.  In  the aftermath of the Maryland general assembly passing a "storm water pollution fee" to raise money to cleanup the Chesapeake Bay, O'Malley has initiated a rain tax.  A rain tax?

As Brietbart reports,  the tax, mandated by the EPA and enforced locally, will be calculated "through satellite surveillance of your property."  Former 2012 GOP U.S. Senate candidate Dan Bongino bashes the tax in a Wednesday afternoon press release. The law "requires individuals, businesses, and even charitable organizations and houses of worship to pay a tax based on the amount of rain that falls on their property and the 'impervious surfaces' on their land," he says.

To find this encroachment of liberty merely troublesome would be representative of the complacency of the American people.  However, the alarm bells going off on this action would wake up my long lost descendant, Lord Baltimore!

The tax is anticipated to be enforced locally by the EPA with the tax calculated through satellite surveillance of your property, by measuring the impervious surfaces on a site or lot and assessing a tax on the total.

Federal authorities, local municipalities and private companies currently utilize aerial imagery to identify improvement and parcel size, although many contend this is a violation of a central tenant of founding of our republic; property rights and the right to privacy on your property.

The fine citizens of Maryland get the government they deserve, and due to excessive taxation enacted by the government they elected, the state has suffered a measurable population loss.  But those in Terrapin country are not the only citizens under attack from the oppressive tax collectors and environmental terrorists.

Privacy in the heartland is being violated by the EPA as officials are spying of farmers in Iowa and my home state of Nebraska.  Recently, as reported by Investors Business Daily, Nebraska's congressional delegation sent a justifiably angry letter to Administrator Lisa Jackson last week complaining that her Environmental Protection Agency had exceeded its legislative and constitutional authority by conducting drone surveillance flights over Nebraska and Iowa farms looking for violations of the Clean Water Act.

"As you might imagine, this practice has resulted in privacy concerns among our constituents and raises several questions."

Sen. Rand Paul,  R:KY, warned recently about the slippery slope of various forms of surveillance at the hands of an oppressive government acting outside of legislation, which can ultimately lead us to the dystopia of George Orwell's 1984.

But there is no cause from concern, says the federal government, as in a response to the letter from Cornhusker country, the EPA justified the use of drones as customary and cost beneficial.  As evidence the government cannot be trusted comes reports that, as reported in Investors Business Daily, The Environmental Protection Agency has acknowledged that it released personal information on potentially thousands of farmers and ranchers to environmental groups, violating their privacy rights and acting in collusion with private groups with private political agendas.

"This information details my family's home address," J.D. Alexander, a Nebraska cattle farmer and former president of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, told FarmFutures.com. "The only thing it doesn't do is chauffeur these extremists to my house."

If you think the leftists will not swarm individuals homesteads, you may wish to recall the events of the Bank America executive in, of all places, Maryland.

For those who revel in conspiracy, are the increased regulations of the farmers an effort to burst what the FED perceives as a potential bubble; farmland, providing the opportunity for the government to gain more control through offering assistance of bailouts?

Any encroachment on the rights of the citizenry by dishonest brokers operating a government which cannot be trusted, in part due to operating outside of reasonable checks and balances leaves the citizens struggling for friction. These actions reducing individual liberty must be defeated.

The more the government spends, additional plans and programs are enacted to increase taxation to fund them.  As Ronald Reagan pointed out, the more the plans fail, the more the planners plan. In the predictable process, liberty and freedom of the citizenry is gradually erased.

Ultimately, without the freedom and liberties granted our republic, we could well become citizen proles of Oceania, ruled by an elite ruling party in a large city in urban decay where 2 + 2 = 5.

Tide Rolls on Agenda 21

Every two years, in keeping with governmental regulation, mandatory continuing education for many professional licensees is required. Last week, in order to keep my Certified Residential Appraiser license in good standing, 40 hours were taken in at the Peabody Hotel in on tourism row in Orlando.

Among the courses presented in the snore fest was The Introduction to Residential Green Buildings.  As you may suspect, the course provided the opportunity for advocacy of the green movement by the instructor, and the moment was seized.

The instructor surmised that homeowners were embracing energy restriction by downsizing the gross living area of homes being purchased.  To the contrary, the lowering of the average GLA is largely due to the economic status of America, which due to governmental interaction in markets has severely hampered job creation and created elevated levels of uncertainty.

Public and private sector organizations, the US Green Building Council and the Shelton Group, advocates for green energy initiatives, were referenced as leaders in assessing all things green, from measuring consumer acceptance to rating and regulating building energy efficiency.

On the course evaluation, I wrote "portions of the class unfortunately bordered on advocating the propaganda surrounding the pursuit of sustainable development, having the feeling of being "nudged" minus Cass Sunstein" closing with "Sustainable development infringes upon property rights".

It should be noted that all responsible citizens should engage in efforts to refrain from polluting and wasting energy.  In addition, in our free market society there are many opportunities as a property owners to maximize cost efficiency with regard to energy usage, and these are prudent investments.

Unfortunately, common sense initiatives have been expanded upon by governmental regulators influenced by left wing environmentalists, global warming alarmists and a very nefarious group who are supporters of Agenda 21, or sustainable development; a global effort to implement social justice.

As reported in Investors Business Daily, Agenda 21 is a frontal assault on formative principles of our founding fathers.  One of those is property rights. "Land ... cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market," Agenda 21 says.

"Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes."

Property rights are central to our sovereignty, and on these central principles there can be no compromise.

Agenda 21 is intended to foster what environmentalists call "sustainable development" in the belief that man since the Industrial Revolution has been a plague on the planet, plundering its resources while destroying nature and putting the world at risk of disastrous climate change, poverty and disease.

If you were thinking those attempting to implement strategies in this arena were those on the left wing extreme, you would be correct, and they are currently running our government. This group has done a masterful job in promotion of the greatest hoax of all time, global climate change, to the mainstream citizenry and business leaders.

Many, perhaps fearful of being on the wrong side against a government who takes few prisoners, are eagerly on board.  Some are financially tied to government, and have no choice but to gleefully participate.  In fact, just yesterday, TARP recipient Bank of America (BAS:NYSE) pledged 50 million to combat global warming.  Have not seen a sell signal like that in a while.

Unfortunately, governmental regulators, which include the EPA, unelected regulatory Czars and Obama and his executive orders are shoving Agenda 21 down our throats, which increase costs in arenas inclusive of energy, building maintenance and regulatory compliance.  In fact, just this week President Obama said he would make climate change his top priority in his second term, although odds are increasing he won't get that chance.

Even so, as industries have bought into the climate change premise, policies in this regard are emerging to overwhelm business owners, limiting economic freedom and free market prosperity.

Agenda 21, an arm of the United Nations, is on the verge of gaining binding influence in our court system.  The Law of the Sea Treaty, up for vote soon in Congress, is a current example. As alarming as this is, America appears to be waking up as Alabama voters handed Agenda 21 such a lopsided loss, you would think Crimson Tide.

Our rights are being trampled under foot, and many remain unaware.  Under global climate change, arms of the movement are working like termites to gain control of the structure, pun intended, of our governance.  Time is of the essence, and with the Obama presidency seeming on the ropes, danger lurks behind every two by four.  Inform your friends about Agenda 21, and hit the voting booth in opposition at your earliest opportunity.

Banking Shore Leave

For those out working every day to stay afloat, a review of the daily news put forth by the drive by media reveals an economy slowly emerging from stability, albeit with anemic growth. The worst is over. Everything is fine, nothing to see here.

But if you look closely at what is really happening, there is major economic trouble lurking about all over the place. Much of the focus has been on Europe, as they struggle to escape a collapse. A European collapse would certainly be a major problem for US financial markets, which are in real trouble.

In particular trouble are the banks. As has been noted repeatedly, banks are borrowing at next to free from The FED and can lend to customers at approximately 5%, which would command high profit levels. But little lending is taking place, as lending for the housing market is extremely difficult to command, credit lines are evaporating and small business loans are rare. In fact, now loans to small business are being called.

The Los Angeles Times details a story of a small business owner having his loan called by Bank of America. He has the option of paying it off or restructuring at a new increased rate. Fox Business Network's Gerri Willis discusses this situation.

What motivation would the banks have to alienate customers in this fashion? Well, there are much bigger issues the banks are facing, and Economist David McAlvany outlines the problems to FOX Business's David Asman. Take a listen:

Under extreme duress, at what level will the banks stop in attempting to call loans and restructure loans not called at substantially higher interest rates? Most people are barely surviving now, so restructuring of this kind will bankrupt many with the banks seizing whatever assets they can. Seems far fetched I know, but did it just happen in the MF Global saga?

Ann Barnhardt thinks so. Barnhardt joins Warren Pollock to discuss this situation and what may be coming.

While portions of the forecasting going on may be worst case scenarios, it is clear that the economic standing of Uncle Sam is not on sound footing. Contract law is being broken, as evidenced by the auto bondholders, and the transformation of wealth (theft) is taking place. Banks are attacking customers, and the raising of credit card interest rates is a small example.

It is going to be an interesting time as we move through the 2012 election, and you should take steps now to secure your financial footing if possible. Should Obama, who has demonstrated his disdain for the rules set forth by our Constitution by his eagerness to bypass Congress to implement his ideas, be re-elected, a top down governmental dictatorship may be our future.

It will be the end of America as you once knew it; no longer a nation of laws, but a nation of men.

Time To Fight The Thugs

We have seen this before. A year ago March, CNN was invited along as ACORN members were bused around to harass AIG employees at their homes. This past week, SEIU thugs trampled upon a Bank of America employees property rights and harassed his family in front of his home. Watch this:

Make no mistake, Bank of America (BAC:NYSE) would be my last preference of banks to do business with, although the Shore Bank in Chicago is giving them a run for their money. I am against BAC.

As far as the woman in the video, while it is unfortunate that her son was killed, I have a list of recommendations.

1. Get a job.
2. Don't buy things you cannot afford, especially big ticket items.
3. Owning a home is not a right.
4. No pay, no stay. Therefore, you should be foreclosed on.
5. Lose the community organizing crowd.
6. Get an appreciation for the rights of our citizens and comport yourself in a respectful manner.

Before I could blog on this episode of thugocracy, Glenn Beck exposed more on the subject. Please see the following report, a must see:

Wow! Is there any question what side anyone with sanity is on?

Now, as Beck points out, Ms. Easton is getting hammered for questioning the antics of the SEIU thugs. See stories HERE and HERE. The Huffington Post even blasts her for failing to disclose her husbands PR firms has ties to BAC. Are you kidding me? These thugs should be in jail for trespassing. Where were the cops anyway? Big Government has more on the SEIU terrorist actions

SEIU's John VanDeventer commented "If Nina Easton really wants to see 'personal intimidation,' she should head outside her posh neighborhood and follow along next time Bank of America forecloses on a family." News flash for Mr. VanDeventer! If a family overextended themselves and cannot meet their obligations they indicated they could by signing a contract, then they should be foreclosed on. Furthermore, Bank of America, and other banks, should not have given loans to "sub prime" borrowers and unions of thugs and governmental operatives (ACORN) should not have pressured/threatened banks to lend to these sub prime borrowers as home ownership is not a right.

Interestingly enough, I have been very critical of Nina Easton for seemingly being a total Obama ass kisser, although maybe that was to secure the big interview she got in 2009. Maybe, just maybe, she can recognize the thugocracy the Obama administration is running now that she witnessed it first hand. Should this be the case, what an expose she could pen for the folks over at Fortune Magazine, of which I have been a subscriber of in the past.

It would not take much work on her part, as Mr. Beck has done most, if not all of it, already. How about it Ms. Easton? What say you?

I have had enough of ACORN and SEIU, the role they are playing in our current administration and the actions of civil disobedience and thuggery they perform in advancing their cause. Next time they protest a foreclosure action in Orlando, I will be there standing against them in non violent protest. And I am looking forward to these thugs attempting voter intimidation in November.
