It is official.
Under this administration, we have become a nation of men rather than a nation of laws, an egregious divergence from our founding.
FBI Director James Comey laid out a case of gross negligence and "extremely careless handling of very sensitive, highly classified information" by Mrs. Clinton.
Yet citing a lack of intent, which is not relevant in this case, Comey "viewed that no charges are appropriate." Charges are completely appropriate, as "Hillary Clinton checked every box required for a felony violation" as National Review's Andy McCarthy noted.
Comey's action in this matter, although not unexpected, is regretful. Thought to be a man of character by most, we can extend appreciation to Sen. Rand Paul, R:KY, the lone dissenter as James Comey confirmed for FBI post.
Obviously, there is one set of laws for the intellectual elites, and one for the rest of us,
In the face of tyranny, this must change.
First week of November would work by voting in Donald Trump for President.

GOP Debate Update
The main event GOP presidential candidates debate took place in Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH, and it did not disappoint; highlighting the fine field of top candidates there are to choose from.
The under-card GOP debate winner was Carly Fiorina, who continues to impress, exhibiting broad knowledge of the issues. Particularly astute of her was to note the movement of money within the global financial system. Bobby Jindal, Rick Santorum and Rick Perry round out our final four first round performance, although it would seem Perry was in need of a stronger performance to leave his misfortunes in 2012 behind him.
The main event featured a very impressive field. For the GOP debate on this evening, Dr. Ben Carson was the winner. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee round out the final four in first round performance.
Jeb Bush seemed to get caught in a lie on the issue of Common Core, but otherwise did no harm. John Kasich looked good to the viewers and Scott Walker was steady as she goes successfully navigating away from any potentially rough seas.
Nobody blew up, but it appears Rand Paul and Donald Trump failed to gain any ground while others did.
Chris Christie and Rand Paul got in quite a dust up over surveillance. Each candidate has a long list of support for their position, and while I am on the opposite side of many folks I generally am in agreement with, including of note Kimberly Guilfoyle, I stand with Rand Paul on this topic.
FOX News was horrible and clearly aimed to diminish Trump. Megan Kelly, whom I generally think highly of, was way off base in some questioning of Donald Trump and she seems to be paying quite a price for her odd and suspicious line of questioning of Trump. Among those who are hammering her is The Great One, Mark Levin.
It should be clearly noted that these GOP debates were inclusive of some very fine candidates, each having a long list of impressive credentials, and any candidate on the either stage on this opening evening of debates would be far superior to anyone the Democrats have to offer.

The Candidates Cruz
The copy of the painting below is outstanding, and may be foretelling as we approach the 2016 election.
There are several candidates seeking the GOP nomination, and I would support each and every one of them in a battle against Hillary Clinton.
Many candidates have officially jumped in, while others are waiting around, raising money and sizing the electorate.
Commentary about the candidates will be held back at this time as the field settles in but will come at a later date.
For now, I will rank them in four tiers as I see the field right now. Tier 4 are candidates that I am not crazy about. Tier 3 will include some I am intrigued by and want to hear more from. Tier 2 includes those who are positioned to perhaps gain some traction, and among the group a VP candidate may come from. Tier 1 will include those that I am strongly considering and among the group my choice will likely come from.
The list only includes individuals that appear likely to jump in the race.
Tier 1: Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Scott Walker and Marco Rubio
Tier 2: Rick Santorum, Rick Perry and Allen West
Tier 3: Carly Fioirina, Dr. Ben Carson, Bobby Jindal, John Bolton, and Donald Trump.
Tier 4: John Kasich, George Pataki, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Mike Huckabee, Peter King and Lindsey Graham
I am looking to eject from the status quo, which as Ronald Reagan said, is Latin for "the mess we're in".
Stay tuned!

Rubio Rising
Marco Rubio Photo/Getty Images |
While Rubio possesses a boatload of the attributes most would consider presidential, most thought he would wait a few cycles to get in the race. However, although the field is expected to be strong, inclusive of mentor Jeb Bush, Rubio concluded the time is now.
Having watched Marco Rubio rise in the Florida House, combined with his most compelling history and appreciation for the risk and reward component of free market capitalism, I strongly supported Rubio as he battled the unprincipled Charlie Crist to become my Senator from Florida.
While Rubio has most impressive in many ways during his senate tenure, his entrance in the immigration debate, an issue for which is recognized Rubio has great passion, joining with the gang of eight to arrive at a bill of compromise that seemingly violated the principles we entrusted him to protect. I consider this Rubio's choice in this area of legislation one which Rubio will have to fight to overcome, but according to a report, Rubio may have reasoning that could be deemed somewhat credible.
Unlike Hillary Clinton, the presumed Democratic opponent, Rubio is a real person, a family man who embraces the history and traditions of America, from the Constitution to NFL football. Rubio is a big fan of the Miami Dolphins, with his wife Jeanette a former cheerleader for the Fins.
Rubio should not be discounted. Although Jeb Bush is a very capable and smart guy, perhaps the best of the Bush family, America seems to want to stay out of the Bushes and due to progressive positions inclusive of but not limited to Common Core, conservatives are most weary of Bush as well. Therefore, Rubio can not only win Florida from Bush, but also the nation.
It seems Rubio will have to beat Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and potentially Scott Walker for the nomination. On the campaign trail, few will be able to match Rubio with his youthful exuberance and passion, high level command of the Constitutional principles our governance should be adhering to and his extremely compelling personal story. Add in his Cuban heritage, he has the chance to secure a large portion of the minority vote.
Contrary to media assessments and the propaganda released from the Democrats, the GOP is blessed to have three candidates in Cruz, Paul and Rubio to choose from. I look forward to vigorous and respectful debate from this group, and other potential candidates who step forward, in the upcoming months.

Cruz Control
Sen. Ted Cruz R:TX |
Sadly, as expected, his entrance sparked explosive commentary from the entire spectrum of political discourse.
You will not find a more glaring example of hypocrisy among all the smiling faces of many of your favorite left wing lunatics and politicians (actually one in the same) than their reaction to the entry of Sen. Cruz. Many left wing pundits seemed stunned, which is bull crap as those wagering the field had very high odds on Cruz getting in.
Then came the comparisons to Obama, and these are nothing short of pure comedy.
When Obama ran as a first term Senator, one who voted present most often, he was viewed as fresh, with bold new ideas. Cruz, who has challenged the broken Washington machine on numerous occasions, has been labeled inexperienced, not ready for the vigor associated with our highest office. This "inexperience" had no bearing on the left in 2000, as we elected a president with no executive experience of any kind.
Then came questions about the birthplace of Cruz, and if he is eligible to be president. Cruz was born in Canada and is a natural born citizen and has produced any and all necessary paperwork to close the issue, unlike Obama. Although it has not been a focus on this blog, Obama has skirted producing paperwork to close up his issue in this arena. Those on the right who have questioned Obama's birthplace have been ridiculed and deemed racist, but that is not the case for those questioning Cruz.
Due to his entry in the race, Cruz's wife Heidi, took a leave of absence from her position at Goldman Sachs, and with that, Cruz had to seek health insurance. Therefore, he enrolled in Obamacare, which since Cruz has vowed to repeal every word of Obamacare, seems beyond entertaining to the left. Sadly, Obamacare is the law of the land, and Cruz is simply following the law. This, of course, is a foreign concept to Obama and his Obamabots nationwide.
The mainstream media, who watch and cheer while Obama violates the Constitution seemingly on a daily basis, has joined in lockstep with all the talking points, bashing Cruz at every turn on anything and everything.
Why should he left have all the fun?
You just knew those on the progressive right would jump in with the Democrats and hit Cruz. Karl Rove, who backs Jeb Bush, immediately came forward in an attempt to discredit Cruz. I could have initiated a countdown waiting for Rep. Peter King of New York to come out swinging. The former boxer must have had his head hit too much, for he is clueless on Cruz, his record and his chance to win. King, who sits on numerous committess enabling the decline of America, has also gone after Sen Rand Paul.
I must admit I was surprised to see some folks I respect hit Cruz, inclusive of Greg Gutfeld and Eric Boling of "The Five" and DW Ulsterman. Gutfeld thinks Cruz lacks vision for country, but has plenty for himself, which I totally disagree with. The position Ulsterman takes, along with Boling, is that, although he thinks very highly of Cruz, he deems him not ready at this time. Among the hosts on "The Five", Breitbart reports that Kimberly Guilfoyle, perhaps the most beautiful woman on news television, was the most receptive to the candidacy of Cruz.
It is way too early to handicap the field for me, but I would list Tex Cruz at or very near the top of my list. What I do know is that those attempting to discredit Cruz are speaking very loudly about something they do not want you to hear.
Progressive opponents of freedom and liberty; those who aspire for big government and crony capitalism, will ridicule and distort the facts, screaming loudly about opponents they fear the most. Are you listening?

The Way To Kill A Killer
For now, it looks like the heat surrounding a very tense standoff in southern Nevada over farm land grazing rights has cooled down.
The standoff, between rancher Cliven Bundy and The Bureau of Land Management, quickly escalated to the point where violence was knocking on the front door. There were a host full of players, many of whom did not have a legitimate dog in the hunt, and most were looking for trouble.
Thankfully, a violent eruption of lost tempers did not rule the day, or we potentially could have had another Waco or Ruby Ridge situation on our hands.
Legally, the case is somewhat complex, involving conflicts between state and federal laws. It would have been a good case for Jarrod Barkley, Esquire, of Stockton, CA were he still in practice.
Certainly, I do not have the scorecard filled out on this battle, but I have drawn some conclusions, and they are as follows:
*I have heard interviews with Cliven Bundy and he seems like a good natured fellow. He does sort of give off the vibe of a "sovereign citizen", but I think he just wants to ranch his land and has had it up to his eyeballs with the federal government increasing regulations and encroaching their influence of his business dealings. Join the club.
*Some people claiming to be Bundy supporters agree with his position, but are looking to create a disturbance, hoping for violence to erupt so they can gage battle with the government. The retired Sheriff, a complete moron, who wanted to put women and children at the front of the line should shooting occur, comes to mind.
*Bundy appears to be in arrears regarding grazing fees. I pay my taxes and regualtory fees, and I would expect him to do the same.
The people hoping for violence should recall that the government is hoping for civil unrest, as it offers opportunities to increase power. The correct way to win these issues is to follow the path of Dr. Martin Luther King, an exemplary example of leadership in grievances against an oppressive government.
*Sen. Harry Reid, D:NV, a despicable individual, has labeled all those who side with Bundy as "domestic terrorists". Well, that may include me. Sen. Reid says it is not over, and people just can't go around breaking the law going unpunished. Unless maybe you work for the IRS.
*It is worth noting the government, in contesting the Bundy family at the ranch, may as well of retained the US Army, given the man power, weaponry and vehicles that ascended upon the ranch. We cannot secure our southern border but we can unleash untold armory to get the Bundy family.
*Evidence has turned up that the BLM has killed some of the cows owned by Bundy. I did not hear of an anthrax breakout, so the killing of his cattle is nothing more than an act of intimidation. This is not the behavior I would be in support of my elected governmental officials being engaged in.
*It also seems the government attempted to reduce the amount of acreage Bundy could utilize, which due to the large amount needed for cattle grazing, would have essentially put Bundy out of business as he was currently engaged.
Certainly we know, particularly under President Obama, is strongly overreaching when it comes to property rights. The EPA is out of control, but their actions appear to be the tip of the iceberg.
We have previously written about Agenda 21, an evil platform of ideas which attack the sovereignty of the United States and viciously encroach upon the property rights of our citizens. An outreach of wealth transformation, the tentacles of Agenda 21 reach Orwellian levels.
But are these ideas new. Stuart Chase, in his 1942 book "The Road We Are Traveling", noted the transfer from the free enterprise system to a system deemed "X". Nineteen characteristics were noted, but number 17 described control of industry without ownership.
This includes property, where, although they do not own your property, through items like permitting, energy control "smart meters" and water usage they control what you can do with it. For example, for the new buyer of your home to get financing through the government controlled banks, your home must be energy efficient, with items like roof covering, HVAC and windows meeting newly established guidelines. Seems like encroachment of property rights to me.
With the progressives, we know that the issue, in this case Bundy and his ranch, is never the issue. What is the issue? Is it the government is aiming to seize private property of citizens under Agenda 21 protocol? Or, God forbid, are we so broke we are positioning ourselves for negotiation with China as we recently saw Ecuador involved in?
We must put government back in its place, but engaging in violence with them on a ranch in southern Nevada is not the time or place. Sen. Rand Paul has legislation he claims would go a long way in solving this dispute; however, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will not allow it to be heard or brought up for vote.
Does Sen. Reid want the problem solved in a way the people approve of, or is he hoping for violence to erupt so he can seize more control of the people? Was his heightened rhetoric calling those who disagree with him "domestic terrorists" an effort to put gas on the fire?
The answer to this problem has one word: freedom. While this country has laws which must be followed and legal taxation we must pay for our society to adequately function, government over reaching their authority and intimidating the citizenry. Those seeking to limit freedom, and at the end of the day that seems to be what is going on at the Bundy ranch, should be defeated.
Non violent avenues, such as the legislation put forth by Sen. Paul and others, is the way to achieve these goals. Sprinting to the voting booth at your earliest opportunity helps as well. That is how we kill the political careers of those who seek to kill freedom for the citizenry.

No Quarter
Opportunities to save America from Obamacare, a governmental takeover of our health care system sprinting along the road we will have traveled arriving at the socialist utopia progressives have forever dreamed of, are few.
Certainly, those of us freedom fighters can appreciate the efforts of those will have stood in the face or tyranny, inclusive in particular of Mike Lee, R:UT, Rand Paul, R:KY, Marco Rubio, R:FL, Loise Gohmert, R:TX, Michele Bachmann, R:MN, and Ted Cruz, R:TX. They are fighting for us!
It is important for the noise to be extracted from the truth, which is difficult for the average citizen to fight through amid all the lies and distractions.
For example, former president Bill Clinton was on ABC News This Week this morning telling untold lies. Clinton said the following: "I've never seen a time-- can you remember a time in your lifetime when a major political party was just sitting around, begging for America to fail?"
As a matter of fact, yes I can, recalling the Democrats cheering problems in Iraq the Bush administration was having pre-surge, calling for us to retreat while snatching defeat from the arms of victory. Then, there were the rules of engagement qualifications.
Actually, by advocating for a governmental takeover of health care, one would be seeking to limit freedom of choice and liberty of the citizenry, which I deem being complicit in seeking and assisting in the failure of America.
Clinton further offered that "If I were the president, I wouldn't negotiate over these draconian cuts that are gonna take food off the table of low-income working people, while they leave all the agricultural subsidies in for high-income farmers and everything else," he said. "It's chilling to me. The entitlement spending is going down as the unemployment rate drops and the economy grows. Half of the deficit's already disappeared. The rest of it just seems almost spiteful."
The country is bankrupt, and food is not being taken off the table for low-income working people, which is actually part of the reason why the country is bankrupt; unnecessary and growing entitlements. What is significantly harming the low-income working people is the lack of being able to work, as economic policies of the Obama administration has devastated the work force, particularly for low level and minority workers.
Entitlement spending, with a record number of folks on food stamps, is not "going down". On top of that, many folks who cannot find work have shifted from the unemployment rolls to the disability rolls, receiving assistance all along the way. Although statistically growing at minuscule levels, the economy is shambles, and the deficit has in no way disappeared.
What is spiteful and appalling is to speak this type of dishonesty to the American people in effort to seek continuance of the power these individuals have; the country be damned. As such, the former president has identified himself as a dishonest broker. Who knew?
I continue to hear how republicans are blocking the legislation from moving forward. If only that were true. Sadly, several GOP members are fighting Sen. Cruz harder than some Democrats.
Obamacare is an encroachment on personal liberty and freedom, a vehicle for massive government control of the citizenry, a road we are traveling to a single payer system. While progressives demand we wave the flag of surrender, every legally permissible opportunity to thwart Obamacare must be taken.
The fight is on; offer these dishonest opponents of freedom No Quarter!

A Libertarian Leaning
Much is being written about the fracture we are witnessing in the Republican party, resulting in the left being stricken with glee. In the aftermath of two losing presidential elections, both closer than publicly thought but losses none the less, the reasons for division in the GOP are seemingly appropriate.
Much more so than you may know.
Observing the fisticuffs with a box of popcorn from their box seats, left wing organizations, political players and their media arms are engaging in the fray attempting to distort facts and discredit and diminish the power positions of those who are presumed to potentially be a player on the 2016 stage.
Before admonishing the left for their usual low class misrepresentation of the truth; (remember Mitt Romney being labeled, by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D:NV) no less, as not having paid his taxes); those not entirely engaged must become informed that GOP operatives are acting in concert in this effort.
Although the anticipated rivalry is not currently fluid, the media is presenting America update after update on the battle between New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul. This potential battle is illustrative of the major battle taking place behind the scenes, those old guard GOP progressives who welcome big government versus the Libertarian leaning GOP members who embrace the Constitution and seek personal freedoms and limited government. It may be noted as another chapter in the fight Ronald Reagan had with the Gerald Ford supporters in 1976.
It was my honor and pleasure to cast my first presidential ballot for Ronald Reagan, and I thought his presidency was representative was how things were supposed to be with respect to America's position on the world stage with economic prosperity at home. But know, I recognize Reagan was an anomaly in history applying an approximate decade long brake on the progressive movement seemingly began with the Wilson administration.
As we look around to day, we can be so proud of our crumbling economy, racial strife, poverty, sinking public school system, crony capitalism and corruption of a welfare and nanny state. It ain't working properly; obviously. USA; Detroit Rock City!
Superior interest in continuing their positions of power rather than working tirelessly to put America back on a prosperous track, progressive GOP members are sadly joining left wing organizations, political players and their media arms in efforts to diminish those presumed to be potential 2016 players.
Just this week, Texas Senator Ted Cruz felt compelled to produce his birth certificate, although anyone who questioned Obama on this subject was considered extreme and not credible. Funny how that hypocrisy works.
Speaking of that, the government has been shut down numerous times in recent history. Instead of applauding the very few Republicans who dare to utilize every tool at their disposal to stop Obamacare, with the latest effort being to defund it, progressive GOP members are attacking these brave souls. Nicole Wallace, who worked for McCain and leaked false and demeaning information about Sarah Palin, is not calling Ted Cruz “intellectually dishonest” in his mission to shut down the government in order to defund Obamacare. Good Grief!
The knives are still out for Sarah Palin by everyone. This is quite amusing, given she is labeled completely incompetent by most after having been relentlessly smeared by the media and political machines. GOP pundit Bill Kristol, of the National Review, had to be called on the carpet by Herman Cain today after a condescending slam of Palin by claiming she had a need to rehabilitate herself.
Chris Christie (R:NJ), and individual who exhibited such promise as a take no prisoners opponent of unions, engaged in a love fest Breaking the Boardwalk with President Obama in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, elevating the stature of our weak President from a damaged position to a perception of bipartisan strength helping him to defeat Mitt Romney. Christie rejects that premise, but I don't. In addition, Christie has gone after Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, although he is perceived as weak on the national stage.
These progressives, and make no mistake Christie is one, fear Governor Palin, but they do not think she will enter the race. Given that, it is Kentucky Senator Rand Paul who they think can return the party to Reagan principles away from big, bloated government controlled by the ruling class, and the attacks on Paul have begun.
Christie has verbally hit Paul on numerous occasions, referring to Paul as dangerous. To whom? The status quo of decline, debt and historically high unemployment?
As reported by Mediate, speaking at a governors forum in Aspen, Colorado, Christie said “This strain of libertarianism that’s going through parties right now and making big headlines I think is a very dangerous thought,” the outspoken Garden State governor said. “You can name any number of people and [Paul is] one of them.”
Dangerous to whom? America? No, dangerous to Christie and the members of the ruling class.
Even Rep. Peter King (R:NY) a progressive who sits on numerous committees enabling our decline, went hard after Paul on the illegal surveillance the government is engaged in. King told CNN chief political correspondent Candy Crowley that a recent libertarian streak in the GOP threatened to weaken what he said was the party's traditional strength.
Paul, thankfully, is not about to operate from a position of weakness, and has utilized the truth in thwarting the mounting attacks coming his way.
Many Americans are coming to the realization, despite what they are being told, the current economic doldrums are not a new normal, rather an orchestrated decline triggered by a massive transfer of wealth. Millennials are recognizing what the rest of us know; that our privacy is being violated in stark violation of the Constitution. In fact, all of our rights have been restricted to some degree under this oppressive government. The progressive mindset of the government compulsion to implement a nanny state due to the distrust of the citizenry to adequately lead their lives.
This thought process does not represent the founding principals and values of our nation. The impact of the the progressive policies, already felt, are about to be fully comprehended. When that occurs, the people will be clamoring to turn to individuals who have been steadfast in opposition to the current path, those who offer opportunities of expanding freedom through prosperity.
With the GOP looking Democrat light, and with disgruntled young Democrats reluctant to embrace the GOP, it may be Constitutional Conservatives from the Libertarian wing Christie referred to that can become a large tent for those who embrace freedom.
The public figures who represent this platform, the ones the progressive ruling class fears, are the individuals currently being attacked with a full complement of Saul Alinsky tactics. Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee (R:UT) have their attention, but the one most likely to return the power to the people, Rand Paul, is the most feared.
With very good reason.

NJ Gov. Chris Christie |

Stranglehold of Scandals
The scandals linked to the Obama administration, ones you are familiar with and some you are not, are consuming the landscape. Even for those in the know, when considering the scandals associated with the IRS and the Benghazi massacre, it is hard to measure which is more devastating.
Not for President Obama and his administration of inner party Marxist crooks and liars, but for America.
Both will end up ranking high in the history books, with each having the level of anti-Constitution action that should result in the end of the Obama presidency.
While the IRS scandal is deplorable and at a minimum violates the First Amendment, it is the scope of Benghazi massacre that could alter America, and the world, forever. While the administration thinks the events in Benghazi don't matter, a growing number of Americans vehemently disagree.
The Obama administration left four Americans to die, which is in stark contrast to the core beliefs of our country. For that alone, those responsible should be held in dereliction of duty.
Obama, like all great leaders do, divorced himself from the situation, seemingly for plausible deniability. Leadership like that can obviously get you killed.
Then came the lies, and they were plentiful and continuous, first and foremost from President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and then from all those progressives supporters along for the ride. These actions are truly despicable behavior from those charged with working on our behalf.
These are not incompetent imbeciles; rather cold and calculated operatives who do not appear to be wearing the same colors as you and I.
The summary of these events paint a very troubling picture of the status of the leadership of our once great country. Among those with a microphone to present this case is Judge Jeanine Pirro, who brilliantly scorches the administration. Take a listen:
Behind the mask of the Benghazi massacre is the reason why this story all unfolded, and it has extremely concerning tentacles.
The elephant in the room is gun running, reasonably confirmed recently by Senator Rand Paul, R:KY. We have been shipping guns via shipping to Syrian rebels, which in victory seems poised to ultimately pave the way for the Muslim Brotherhood to take control in Syria.
Our coziness with the Muslim Brotherhood, who have far reaching influence within our own government, is of very significant concern. Although Michele Bachmann, who recently asked if those with connections to the Muslim Brotherhood were being properly vetted, was excoriated by both side of the aisle, she was correct.
The arrogance of the Obama administration is currently being exhibited as they use distortion and intimidation to cover their tracks, but the truth will come out in due time. Reports have more whistle blowers coming forward with blockbuster information, suggested as devastating to both Obama and Hillary Clinton.
The information that will come out likely will expose the gun running, which will open up the Pandora's box of the relationship this administration has with the Muslim Brotherhood.
Obama seems safe in his position as of this point, particularly with having mainstream media support, but the IRS scandal will continue to expand and the Benghazi massacre reaching levels not previously considered will leave the administration staggering and without credibility.
At this time, things may become dangerous as Obama utilizes his power to attack his political opponents in unprecedented fashion.
Don't think he won't? He already has.

Ignorance of Masses Strength of Ruling Class Elites
The power to tax is the power to destroy, and few have more power these days than the Environmental Protection Agency.
With total backing from the Obama administration, the agency is flexing their powerful muscle, in many ways implementing and enforcing executive order in the absence of backing from the normal protocol of legislative action.
The elephant in the room is Global Climate change, perhaps the greatest hoax in centuries and nothing short of a vehicle to increase revenues (taxes in the 2 + 2 = 5 Orwellian times we are living in) and control over the people.
In a recent example of complete absurdity, Maryland Democratic Governor Martin O’Malley, demonstrated the lengths the progressive elites will go to confiscate money from the citizenry. In the aftermath of the Maryland general assembly passing a "storm water pollution fee" to raise money to cleanup the Chesapeake Bay, O'Malley has initiated a rain tax. A rain tax?
As Brietbart reports, the tax, mandated by the EPA and enforced locally, will be calculated "through satellite surveillance of your property." Former 2012 GOP U.S. Senate candidate Dan Bongino bashes the tax in a Wednesday afternoon press release. The law "requires individuals, businesses, and even charitable organizations and houses of worship to pay a tax based on the amount of rain that falls on their property and the 'impervious surfaces' on their land," he says.
To find this encroachment of liberty merely troublesome would be representative of the complacency of the American people. However, the alarm bells going off on this action would wake up my long lost descendant, Lord Baltimore!
The tax is anticipated to be enforced locally by the EPA with the tax calculated through satellite surveillance of your property, by measuring the impervious surfaces on a site or lot and assessing a tax on the total.
Federal authorities, local municipalities and private companies currently utilize aerial imagery to identify improvement and parcel size, although many contend this is a violation of a central tenant of founding of our republic; property rights and the right to privacy on your property.
The fine citizens of Maryland get the government they deserve, and due to excessive taxation enacted by the government they elected, the state has suffered a measurable population loss. But those in Terrapin country are not the only citizens under attack from the oppressive tax collectors and environmental terrorists.
Privacy in the heartland is being violated by the EPA as officials are spying of farmers in Iowa and my home state of Nebraska. Recently, as reported by Investors Business Daily, Nebraska's congressional delegation sent a justifiably angry letter to Administrator Lisa Jackson last week complaining that her Environmental Protection Agency had exceeded its legislative and constitutional authority by conducting drone surveillance flights over Nebraska and Iowa farms looking for violations of the Clean Water Act.
"As you might imagine, this practice has resulted in privacy concerns among our constituents and raises several questions."
Sen. Rand Paul, R:KY, warned recently about the slippery slope of various forms of surveillance at the hands of an oppressive government acting outside of legislation, which can ultimately lead us to the dystopia of George Orwell's 1984.
But there is no cause from concern, says the federal government, as in a response to the letter from Cornhusker country, the EPA justified the use of drones as customary and cost beneficial. As evidence the government cannot be trusted comes reports that, as reported in Investors Business Daily, The Environmental Protection Agency has acknowledged that it released personal information on potentially thousands of farmers and ranchers to environmental groups, violating their privacy rights and acting in collusion with private groups with private political agendas.
"This information details my family's home address," J.D. Alexander, a Nebraska cattle farmer and former president of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, told FarmFutures.com. "The only thing it doesn't do is chauffeur these extremists to my house."
If you think the leftists will not swarm individuals homesteads, you may wish to recall the events of the Bank America executive in, of all places, Maryland.
For those who revel in conspiracy, are the increased regulations of the farmers an effort to burst what the FED perceives as a potential bubble; farmland, providing the opportunity for the government to gain more control through offering assistance of bailouts?
Any encroachment on the rights of the citizenry by dishonest brokers operating a government which cannot be trusted, in part due to operating outside of reasonable checks and balances leaves the citizens struggling for friction. These actions reducing individual liberty must be defeated.
The more the government spends, additional plans and programs are enacted to increase taxation to fund them. As Ronald Reagan pointed out, the more the plans fail, the more the planners plan. In the predictable process, liberty and freedom of the citizenry is gradually erased.
Ultimately, without the freedom and liberties granted our republic, we could well become citizen proles of Oceania, ruled by an elite ruling party in a large city in urban decay where 2 + 2 = 5.

A Predator Is At Large
Rand Paul asked some very serious questions regarding the predator drone program of the Obama administration. Sen. Paul got the answers, and they are perhaps the most troubling I have heard in decades. Glenn Beck has more:
While Attorney General Eric Holder says the President does have the right to use the drones attacking US citizens, Holder is mistaken. To utilize drones in this fashion is a blatant violation of the US Constitution, as our citizens have the right of due process.
Now, most should recognize that the Obama administration has little regard for our Constitution, finding it an imperfect document which limits what government can do as opposed to what government can and should do. Those who believe in freedom should soundly reject that premise, as our founders believed in limited government and built in a system of checks and balances to prohibit power from a branch of government from encroachment upon another branch.
Obama is flexing his muscle, attacking from several tentacles the second amendment, interfering in the first amendment aiming to control the Internet and now, through utilization of drones killing American citizens without due process.
The administration are not honest brokers, and cannot be trusted with this type of authority. In that regard, what are to make of the recent purchase of all these tanks for domestic use?
Forget the alarm clock, the house is on fire.
Thankfully, Senator Rand Paul is filibustering the vote on John Brennan for CIA Director by holding up the vote until the President informs the US citizenry he will not utilize the drones on the citizenry without due process.
It will not happen.
If Obama can get away with violating the Constitution in this regard, our country as we have know it is over. Somebody needs to thwart Obama in a legally permissible fashion, and Senator Paul is doing just that. Please join in support of Senator Paul. #StandWithRand

The Discrediting of America: Political Adversaries
While President Obama is the face of the Progressive advancement running roughshod over America, there is a well funded massive machine of operatives implementing widespread attacks on those, organizations, corporations and individuals, who stand against their policies. With a basis found in the pages of Saul Alinsky's Rules For Radicals, aiming to demonize, ridicule and discredit all in opposition, there are no lines that cannot be crossed as the ends justify the means. The tentacles of these ongoing operations extend beyond your wildest imagination. Therefore, BAHL Revere will engage a series of posts alerting our readership of instances in this regard titled The Discrediting of America.
Ronald Reagan once said about the left, "Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so." This cast of characters is not your parents Democrats. And while these elite progressives do think they know what is best for you, or rather isn't so, they are quite sinister and are from honest brokers seeking the best decisions for America.
When this group identifies individuals who pose what they deem as a serious political threat to their objectives, the long knives are unleashed. Sadly, due to the progressivism in both parties, the attacks come from both sides of the aisle.
During the recent presidential campaign, Mitt Romney was falsely accused, by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid no less, of failing to pay his taxes to Uncle Sam. In addition, as reported by The Blaze, a pro-Obama Super PAC Priorities USA on Tuesday released an ad accusing Mitt Romney of being somehow responsible for the death of the wife of Joe Soptic, a former GST Steel employee and a known Obama campaign operative.
Previously, we have chronicled the vicous attacks that came down upon Michele Bachmann (R:MN), who dared to question, upon accurately noting an infiltration of our government by the Muslim Brotherhood, the vetting process of those who work within and closely with our government. You were left wondering who the enemy actually is.
In the hearings to confirm former Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel as Defense secretary, freshman GOP Congressman Ted Cruz took it to Hagel, only to be condemned by a slew of Democrats, including Florida Senator Bill Nelson. Progressive republican John McCain, who had earlier admonished Hagel, a former close ally, publicly scolded Cruz. Conservatives have been longing for someone like Cruz to strongly articulate the principles of conservatism. Included among those principles would be to prohibit individuals cozy with our enemies from being appointed to high ranking positions, and Chuck Hagel, (R:NE), is such an individual.
While it is customary for political operatives to launch attacks, the mainstream media frequently uses their platforms to manipulate and nudge a citizenry so whipsawed from swirling events they cannot decipher fact from fiction. NBC has been busted several times for doctoring video tape in recent years, and the Associated Press routinely errors in favor of the progressive angle.
A blatant example recently was The Associated Press printing erroneous comments attributed to Sen. Rand Paul, (R:KY), suggesting he sought to round up illegal immigrants. With Paul a borderline Libertarian, that thought process goes against his core beliefs and should have rang false to those who put forth the article. No such luck. After the public had two days to digest the comments Paul supposedly made, AP released a correction nobody heard or saw.
Without question, the harshest attacks over the Obama first term were launched upon Sarah Palin. Over and over and over again, the mainstream political pundits tell us how stupid and ill-prepared for higher office she is, but given the relentless attacks routinely bestowed upon Palin, one has to wonder why someone so weak commands such attention. Actual fact, the left fears Palin; and they should.
Recently, a story reported Palin, fresh off her contract with FOX News not being renewed, has signed a contract with Al-Jazzera. Several left wing outlets, frothing at the mouth to attack Palin, released the story. One problem; it was false. Somebody get the egg on the face Washington Post on the phone.
Palin had a great time poking fun at these low life Obamabots masquerading as journalists.

For someone lacking the intellectual fortitude to challenge the progressives on the battlefield of ideas, the amount of attention paid to her is astonishing. Given what we are led to believe, this is the equivalent of the Alabama Crimson Tide worrying about the goings on over at Troy State. To anybody who can engage in critical thinking, the truth is Palin is perhaps the one they fear the most.
Shifting gears, while the republicans are presented as those who wish harm on others against the backdrop of the civil progressives who seek to help everyone, the vitriol that comes at Palin should be very revealing for anyone not considered among the three blind mice. Check out these tweets:
These message boards are full of hate from those aligned with the party of inclusion and civility. Since winning the public on the battlefield of ideas is not an option, propaganda laced with ridicule is the avenue of approach for this group.
Michele Bachmann continues to work on issues inclusive of national security and finance, almost always correct in her assessments. Sarah Palin was instrumental in getting several Tea Party candidates elected and continues to be very well respected in conservative circles, set to speak at the upcoming CPAC convention.. Rand Paul is considering a run for the oval office in 2016, and considered a very serous threat given his reach which extends far beyond his fringe father. Ted Cruz, who has yet to unpack his luggage in DC, has come to town on a mission of common sense based on founding principles.
Truth be told, the progressives telegraph who they fear as the most legitimate challengers to expose their true objectives, which are much deeper than most imagine and often at odds with their public rhetoric.
The aforementioned are a handful of progressive opponents who threaten the progressives and need discredited in the public eye. These progressive left are not intellectually challenged, and they operate with precision in manipulating a staggered public.
Friedrich Nietzsche once said “In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.”. With a criminally complicit media riding shotgun, the progressive elites are leading a nation of lemmings from freedom and liberty to dictatorship and socialism.

Enemies Hiding In Plain Sight
The days of sensible Democrats, such as Scoop Jackson, Reubin Askew, Zell Miller and Ed Koch, who we fondly recalled this past week after his passing, are long gone. The party once smitten with John F. Kennedy has given way to a rancid collection of idiots, progressives and Fabian Socialists.
The Republican party, regrettably, is no longer a safe harbor from progressive ideology either. An arena where this has recently been demonstrated involved a dual party attack on Rep. Michele Bachmann, (R:MN), in the aftermath of her leadership in questioning the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in our government.
There are levels of infiltration in the Unites States government with respect to the Muslim Brotherhood, which demands serious investigation Bachmann was prepared to engage in. Bachmann was worried about what she has witnessed, and as Robert Spencer pointed out in a recent article, sought out to investigate potential "policies and activities that appear to be the result of influence operations conducted by individuals and organizations associated with the Muslim Brotherhood".
While there is certainly a slow creep of Muslim influence in our country, considerable evidence suggests significant infiltration in our government. I want to know, and I appreciate the efforts on Rep. Bachmann in this regard.
Last June, Bachmann and four other Republicans, including Texas Representative Louie Gohmert, sent a letter to the Inspectors General questioning "the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical groups' access to top Obama administration officials". Cited as an example, as Bachmann wrote in the letter, was "The Department's Deputy Chief of Staff, Huma Abedin, has three family members - her late father, her mother and her brother - connected to Muslim Brotherhood operatives and /or organizations,"
This was not a personal attack on Ms. Abedin, who most respect as preforming in exemplary fashion in her role under Secretary Clinton, although her marriage to disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner raises judgment questions. As it turns out, both of her parents have significant relationships with the Muslim Brotherhood, who in the minds of those not drinking the Obama Kool-Aid, are enemies of those who fight for freedom. The letter posed by Bachmann was perfectly rational and focused on investigating the vetting process of those in government who may have associations with this group.
Another example of a potential Muslim influence involves right wing anti-tax advocate Grover Norquist. The left is hyperventilating over his Americans for Tax Reform pledge, but few seem concerned about ties Norquist has with The Muslim Brotherhood. Married to a Muslim Palestinian born in Kuwait, Norquist resists those who portray all Muslims as terrorists. Nobody with any credibility does, but we do need to have our eyes open to all potential enemies, foreign and domestic. Like Ms. Abbedin, all appears fine with Norquist, but we should have a vetting process for individuals who can effect policy.
Although we could set our watch in anticipation of the vicious attacks which would come from the left, for those still in denial the progressive ruling class is limited to one party the attacks from the GOP were most revealing. Leading the GOP tongue lashing of Bachmann, along with Speaker John Boehner, was none other than John McCain, who caller her actions "sinister". Given Sen. McCain is a war hero, one would surmise that he of all people would want to make sure our government is free from infiltration from individuals and groups that wish us harm. Sadly, this is obviously not the case.
Those lining up in opposition to Bachmann include usual suspects, such as The Washington Post, but also right wind establishment outlets such as The Powerline blog. Rep. Keith Ellison (D:MN), a Muslim, as expected responded to Bachmann, prompting her to write back correcting misrepresented facts, a stalwart maneuver of the left. Ellison is not reasonable on this subject, or many others for that matter.
Andrew McCarthy, a scholar on the subject, backed Bachmann completely and wrote a brilliant editorial making her case, placing into proper perspective the elements and rationale for the concern. Ret. Gen. Jerry Boykin is another backing the efforts Rep. Bachmann.
The Blaze has an extensive report.
In the aftermath of 9-11, the Bush administration reached out to Muslim organizations in a spirit of friendship; however many felt the efforts went to far. Upon election, right out of the gate, the Obama administration seemed to divert from historical positions regarding relationships with governments, groups and individuals who are cozy with terrorist organizations.
There have been many noteworthy instances, from the Egypt speech, to supporting the Mega Mosque at ground zero to the Arab spring, which although highly touted as a vehicle of peace by the regime and the complicit lap dog media, has created extreme chaos in the most troublesome region of the planet.
Issues continue with confusing relationships abroad, which most notably fired up after the events surrounding Benghazi. With respect to Benghazi, Bachmann correctly accused the Obama administration of adopting a "false narrative", and there are clear indications, as Sen. Rand Paul (R:KY) put forth, that the administration was involved in gun running to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Is President Obama aiming to lift up the Islamic position around the world as part of the objective of the global transformation of wealth?
President Obama has nominated Deputy National Security Adviser John Brennan to head the CIA. Brennan, who said jihad is a legitimate tenant of Islam and that terror cannot be defeated as it is a state of mind, is concerning. In addition, he was behind purging intelligence training manuals of the terms "jihad" and "radical Islam". Brennan is quite warm to Iran and their militant extensions, and his nomination should be soundly defeated.
But, if Bachmann is so out to lunch, why would our President be nominating individuals with ideologies which parallel those of The Muslim Brotherhood. Why would our government, after a regime change which has led to control of Egypt by The Muslim Brotherhood, honor a previous agreement to sell F-15 fighter planes and tanks to Egypt? Sadly, this is not all Obama, as GOP Senators are going along.
The global war on terror is not over, and there are significant threats to the US. Therefore, given the countless examples of an uneasy at best warming of relationships with governments, groups and individuals that at best support the slow creep of Sharia and at worst seek to harm our citizenry and way of life, we should get behind Rep. Bachmann in her effort to identify potential infiltration of our government.
More troubling is the reasoning of those who so angrily opposed her efforts. Got me thinking they are hiding something. When considering this subject, things certainly seem radically extended from the normal course of what is and what should never be.
Michele Bachmann should continue to question with boldness, speak without fear and hold to the truth. Enemies appear to be hiding in plain sight.

Sunday Night Song: Pencil Pushers
As predicted, in the aftermath of the tragedy in Newtown, the left immediately engaged in an effort to encroach on the rights of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. Last Tuesday, after reviewing recommendations presented after a study headed by VP Joe Biden, President Obama unleashed a series of regulatory measures, many unconstitutional, in an effort to combat gun violence. However, the measures cloak an attack on the second Amendment.
Of course, the left already had plans on how they might attack the second Amendment and waited until an event triggered an emotional response from the citizenry to attempt to enact legislation.
Remember, never let a crisis go to waste.
Although the Obama administration has never had issue with governing outside the consent of the American people, fearing legislative action the new legislative measures would ultimately fail, the regime sought increasing gun control through writing new law through executive action.
While many progressives in Congress have no issue with this, Senator Rand Paul, (R:KY) has had enough and is prepared to fight. Paul speaks to FOX News Sean Hannity on the subject:
Obama's neighborhood of the south side of Chicago, home to among the strictest gun laws, is perhaps America's murder capital, an urban killing field of young mostly African American men. Nobody from Obama to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel seems to care.
While those progressive elites have failed to address that problem they are most eager to severely restrict the citizens rights in the ownership of firearms.
Of course, it is really not about the guns. It about control over you, gun owner or not. After all, they know better how you should live your life.
The last thing we need is progressive pencil pushers taking away our Constitutional rights. As they go for our guns, with that in mind, for Sunday Night Song, lets roll with Gimmie Back My Bullets, from Lynyrd Skynyrd.
We are done fooling around.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.~Benjamin Franklin
Don't discount Ole Ben, perhaps the most brilliant American who ever traveled the fruited plain.
In recent history, at the forefront of this discussion is the Patriot Act, passed in bipartisan fashion in the aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001.
Regrettably, I was one who was not initially significantly alarmed by this, for it appeared to me winning the Global War on Terror was critical, with the catastrophic possibility of nuclear weapons being unleashed at or in America. Efforts to combat our enemies, both foreign and domestic, seemingly would require steps beyond historical avenues of attack. I was all in.
Central among the additional avenues of intercept would be traffic utilizing the new world horizon of the Internet. The ability to institute keen surveillance over this forum would allow our military to be preemptive to attacks through monitoring the global terrorists. The advantages sounded great, but with the collapsed buildings in lower Manhattan still simmering, we forgot the keen insight of Benjamin Franklin.
In a sensible effort to obtain temporary safety, we relinquished some level of liberty. Even so, is this as bad as it may seem?
In the spirit of Ole Ben, let us recall some rather recent files in our memory bank. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky will clue you in. Take a listen:
Written in 1949, George Orwell's novel 1984 chronicled what expansive big government control over the masses might look like in a dreary sort of way. Like most who have read the book, it seemed outlandish, something really not possible in America, home of the free and the brave.
Among the tenants highlighted in the novel were public mind control, government surveillance, collectivism persecuting individualism and perpetual war. Don't look now, but 2012 looks quite like 1984.
Regrettably, many Americans who have read the book fail to recognize what is right in front of them; a presidential administration aiming to create a culture of dependency among the society allowing entry levels of tyranny to be implemented. Under this implementation, advertised with a complicit media, the complacent public is being hoodwinked as the erosion of liberty escalates.
The Patriot Act, if memory serves me correctly, was to be a temporary measure to be re-visited annually by the Senate. Although President Obama has declared the war on terror over, erroneously I might add, the Patriot Act continues. It is worth noting that a majority warrants issued under the Patriot Act have little or no association with terrorism.
Unfortunately, the Patriot Act is far from the only thing our citizenry must be concerned with respect to big government surveillance. As Judge Andrew Napolitano points out, the Senate is currently considering further and stunning invasions of our privacy. Major private companies and government agencies track each and every key stroke while you are on their dime, but for the government to seeking intrusive measures on the American people. As the Judge noted, this would be an attack against Fourth Amendment of the Constitution.
Obviously, we are not in "1984", but sadly, our American time capsule is traveling in this direction at increasing speed, by design, driven by governmental elites who in their arrogance think they make superior collective decisions than the individual and independent thought. Tyranny over liberty.
Sadly, the lemmings re-elected President Obama, buying his false narratives and hearing his words rather than taking the time to evaluate his actions and noting the deception. History is re-writing itself, and although we thought many of our citizens had recognized Obama and his big government collective policies were wrong for America, we were wrong.
It is imperative now, more than ever, we present the facts and illustrative real world case studies on what is happening under this oppressive regime. Orwell's 1984 provides us a snapshot into that world, which represents most everything the founders of our country fought against. If we fail, we will all be living in 1984, and we will be unable to summon Crockett and Tubbs for help.

Pony Up

In preparation for a potential run, James has founded Texas for a Better America, which focuses on the ideals of free markets, entrepreneurial spirit, protecting the Constitution and American Exceptionalism. James seems like a great guy, and with a platform like that he could be the type of representative we are searching for.
James would be joining an already crowded field. One of his potential GOP opponents, Ted Cruz, who I am unfamiliar with but who has the endorsements of David Barton, Jim DeMint and Rand Paul, each of whom I respect and support, has a great video hammering Obama. Check out The ghost of Obama's Future:
