If It Weren't For Those Pesky Kids.

Something is very wrong.

This week on the campaign trail, President Obama has employed rhetoric explaining how trustworthy he is, telling a Florida audience that the election is about trust, that the voters know him, as opposed to the "Bullshitter" he insinuated Mitt Romney was. Are you kidding me?

This would be pure comedy if the stakes did not involve the electing of a president. However, this is not your historical election. Given the peril America finds herself in, of which the greater majority of fault lies, pun intended, on the doorstep of the current occupant of 1600, this election is critical to the grand experiment of America continuing.

It is very important for our citizenry to have trust in our President and his administration; to have confidence they are acting in the very best interest of our republic. Sadly, it must be reported that our current President, and his administration, cannot be trusted as they have been perpetrating lie after lie, distorting and distracting the truth presented to the American people.

Lying in a debate about a column Mitt Romney wrote regarding the bailout of GM is one thing, a topic even David Letterman is upset about, but the correspondence regarding the attacks on our consulate in Libya this past September 11 which resulted in the deaths of four American patriots, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, is not only despicable, but very dangerous.

A review of those attacks and the subsequent lies and cover up is beyond troubling. Given what has leaked out, one is left with many alarming questions on a range of topics, most significantly of which is, which side is our President on?

Glenn Beck does a thorough job in reviewing the events, and presenting many of the troubling questions which remain unanswered from those claim to be without question transparent and trustworthy. See Beck:

For years, Democrats screamed that in a Congressional authorized military action,vBush lied, people died. Now, in an act of war against the USA, four American patriots, including our Ambassador, were slain after cries for help were unanswered by the Obama administration. People died, but the Democrats are mute.

When we step beyond the hypocrisy of it all, we note that the administration has been dishonest from the very beginning regarding many subjects. However, the Libya tragedy transcends politics, and The White House has been hiding the truth and dodging accountability on the topic on a daily basis.

For my money, Beck is right on target. The Muslim Brotherhood and their representatives are much to cozy with our administration, and if Beck is right on the road he is traveling, extremely serious actions must be taken against those operating against the interests of the United States of America, no matter where and who that investigation leads to.

The media is criminally complicit, but where is a scraping pair of newsmen who dream of being the next Woodward and Bernstein?; Where is the statesman Senator who will take the risk and wage war with a corrupt administration? Why is it always the Becks and Brietbarts of this world who become Scooby Do and those pesky kids; pointing out the obvious and stopping those operating outside in darkness against the interests of America.

While Mitt Romney is ahead in the polls, we cannot count on his victory to sweep away the corruption. Investigative action must move forward immediately, part of the transparency Obama promised his administration would welcome and prioritize. Unless, of course, the administration does not want the citizenry to find out the issues of flexibility Obama promised Russia and who knows who else; if he is re-elected; after the pesky kids and ;Congressional leadership have no power to stop him.

Something is very wrong indeed, and the issues are deep and plentiful. Avenues to hold those accountable for wrong doing seem to be contracting, so time is of the essence.

Sunday Night Song

Been thinking about the matter of trust this week, most notably the wreckless distortion of the truth by the administration and its mouthpieces (1).

Artist Billy Joel played a benefit for the campaign of Barack Obama, who should be approaching a moment of truth with a rapidly growing number of Americans recognizing the whole situation with him was wrong.

So, tonight, from the album The Bridge, the Sunday Night Song is Billy Joel's A Matter of Trust. The video if from an appearance on David Letterman in 1987.

Palin Throws Punches

Just last week, I presented a blog detailing how whenever Sarah Palin turns up on the national scene, the left unleashes the hounds on her. This was before David Letterman stepped way out of line and made some real nasty comments about Palin's daughter.

I attended a taping of the Letterman show in 2003 and he seemed pretty cool, but obviously over the last few years his hate for conservatives has eaten the man up.

We should not be surprised to find that few in the national spotlight are supporting Palin as she appropriately called out Letterman for his disgusting comments. Washington Post syndicated columnist Kathleen Parker commented that Palin "invited the sexual punchline" by sexualizing her candidacy for Vice President. The attacks on Palin continue, and this includes those over at Commander in Peacock's network NBC, where Chris Matthews has a tingle in his leg.

Palin was interviewed by NBC News Matt Lauer on The Today Show this morning, and Lauer seemed poised to strike in defense of Letterman at any moment. Take a listen:

HT GATEWAY PUNDIT

The mainstream media continues to ask who the GOP leader is these days (so they can make every effort to destroy whoever that is), but they need not look too far.

She sits right in front of you, and is gaining strength by the day. The only question is will common sense rule the day?

Julia Roberts Teases Letterman No More

Typically, I pay little or no attention to the news coming out of Hollywood, but I heard some news out of the corner of my ear today that got my attention. David Letterman has married his longtime girlfriend and mother of his child. "Two days before the courthouse wedding, he was flirting like mad with Julia Roberts, who teased him about his unmarried status", reports The New York Daily News.

This brings back a great New York City memory for me. The one and only time I attended a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman, guest Julia Roberts teased Dave repeatedly on when he might tie the knot. Although Julia teases Dave throughout, the first video segment contains most of the interaction on this subject. If you care to take a listen:

PART 1

PART #2

PART #3

This was quite an evening indeed. Letterman was gracious to the audience and Julia Roberts was as advertised beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. After the show, I tried to get up close to Julia as she departed The Ed Sullivan Theater. I did get the shot pictured at left but when she got in front of me, I greeted her rather than snapping an close up photo.

Congrats to Dave on his marriage and thanks to David Letterman and Julia Roberts for a wonderful evening.

FOR THOSE WHO MAY NOTICE THE DATE DIFFERENTIAL BETWEEN THE PICTURE AND THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS, TWO SHOWS WERE TAPED DECEMBER 11, 2003 WITH JULIA ROBERTS SHOW AIRING DECEMBER 12, 2003.
