Tiny Travelers of Both Time and Space

You talk about music education!

As reported by DailyDot.com, the Louisville Leopard Percussionists were virtually without peers!

These young students perform three Led Zeppelin tunes on vibraphones; a mind boggling exhibition you simply have to hear.

The performance drew cheers from none other than famed Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page on his Facebook page; deservedly so.

This music class, yet to be affected by the governmental constraints of Common Core, is no doubt led by a teacher engulfed with innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and a can do attitude, which as you can see at the end of the performance, translated beautifully to the performing children.

Put simply, this was masterful, and I was beyond impressed.

A future as wide as the ocean no doubt awaits these tiny travelers of both time and space. God Speed!

Brightness of Breitbart

The news that came over the airwaves at the conclusion of the first hour of The Glenn Beck Program was stunning and tragic. A ferocious and tireless leader of the Conservative movement, Andrew Breibart, has passed away, at the all too early age of 43.

Breibart had a brightness about him, no doubt. As they once said, sunlight is the best disinfectant. To refer to him as intellectually bright would be an understatement, but Breibart made the sun shine bright on those plotting the demise of America.

Breibart helped shine the light of the nefarious actions by government and Hollywood through his family of websites, often advancing information others refrained from reporting. Breibart used his new media presence to place each discovery on display for America to comprehend, as many never knew these activities were taking place. See ACORN.

As a fearless and formidable foe of the progressive left, in pure Alinsky form, Breibart was ridiculed and targeted by the progressive left, and he quite liked it. While many hid from the front line of the fight, Breibart stood tall in light taking on all comers, including the complicit media.

This is a devastating loss for the good guys. I never got the chance to meet Andrew Breibart, but I feel as though I have lost an old friend. Breibart was a true American Patriot, a fearless friend of freedom and champion of free market capitalism. In addition, he appreciated an honest fight on the issues, one where he knew he would be victorious as he shined the light on the truth, exposing the bad actors to the public from sea to shining sea.

God Bless Andrew Breibart and his family. We will never forget your passion and leadership as the fight for freedom marches on. Thanks for shining in the light!

Sunday Night Song

Since the Florida State baseball Seminoles failed to reach the College World Series in Omaha yet again, there was no trip to make.

However, with much of I-29 corridor flooding through Iowa up to north of Omaha, baseball may have to take a back seat. Take a look at a report from KFAB Omaha.
This is the worst flooding in the area since 1952. Unfortunately, much of the corn crop in Cornhusker country could be compromised, which will increase prices. These price increases will hit you, as corn is a central product. And, are there potentially deadly nuclear issues taking place at the Fort Calhoun plant north of Omaha? Although Russian sources are saying so, I don't buy it.

Here in Orlando, last night was yet another outstanding performance by Classic Albums Live with Zeppelin IV on the docket. Considering all the flooring, it seemed appropriate for the Sunday Night Song to be a cut off that album, "When the Levee Breaks"

As Robert Plant said, when the levee breaks, you got nowhere to go. Certainly, our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have had extreme weather disrupt the lives.

Sunday Night Song

It is true. The song seems remains the same with the tax and spend Progressive Democrats.

Enter Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, R:MI, who cleverly unleashed the Hammer of the Gods in a rhetorical slam.

In honor of Rep. McCotter, for tonight's Sunday Night Song, from the Led Zeppelin album Physical Graffiti, as travelers in both time and space, lets move through Kashmir. Enjoy

Sunday Night Song

Certainly, it was yet another stellar performance at Hard Rock Live Orlando of Classic Albums Live presentation Led Zeppelin 1. A good time was had by all.

One of my favorite Zeppelin songs is from that album, and is tonights Sunday Night Song. From Zepelin 1, here is "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You"

Sunday Night Song

For this evenings post, I must differ from the designed plan to present a tune which does not have a video to post, but I found portions of the lyrics fitting for what is in store for the arrogant politicians that have violated the public trust.

In a previous post, I noted that as those elected to disperse of a so called "culture of corruption", the Democrats have escalated four fold the corruption in Washington across the gamut in a staggering display of arrogance. I have a newsflash for the liberals; Your Time Is Gonna Come!

Lyin', Cheatin', Hurtin'
That's all you seem to do

Always the same, playin' your game
Drive me insane, Troubles gonna come to you

One of these days, and it won't be long

All I got to say is Your Time Is Gonna Come
!

The time has come now and trouble is at the doorstep for the liberal lemmings. A political earthquake will take place on Tuesday, and it could not come soon enough.

As far as I know, Led Zeppelin never played this tune live, therefore there is no live video to present. But it is a favorite of mine, and yes, to all the arrogant socialists, Your Time Is Gonna Come!

And We Danced

What a day, yes? On this day 25 years ago, from Wembley Stadium in London and in JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, the Live Aid concert organized by Bob Geldof to raise money for famine. All sorts of major acts, from Simple Minds to The Who performed. The Hooters opened in Philadelphia with "All You Zombies". With anticipated Beatles and Led Zepplein reunions, this was a cannot miss MTV television event. Only Paul McCartney performed, but the living members of Led Zeppelin took the stage, and kicked some ass. Any requests?

Rambling On Through 500th Post

As I approached my 500th blog entry, I asked some of the readership for a question or two to celebrate the occasion. Then, I siphoned through all the media requests for interviews and selected an old friend, Tiffany Hill Donely, of WLPC ABC-TV of Port Charles, NY to present me with five questions selected from the readership.

Here we go!

1. Please name three leaders of today that you see pulling our asses out of the mess we're in?

I found the first two real easy.

First, I think Congressman Paul Ryan (R:WI) is someone who has a real grasp of the economic status we find ourselves in, and I feel this is a critical attribute moving forward. Rather than just criticizing the administration, with his Roadmap for America, Ryan has presented an effective plan to redirect our once great country in a pro growth free market path.

New Jersey is a complete mess, until Chris Christie was recently elected Governor. Christie is a free market capitalist and is implementing policies that are certain to get New Jersey back to competitive footing. Christie recognizes the heavy burden that entitlements bear on economies and he is set to use Reagan principles to right the ship. And he does not care if you don't like it!

My third choice is former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Although I quite like her, and I think more people support her than you may think, she may be too polarizing to take the Presidency. That being said, she is a rock star and has dictated policy from posting on her Facebook page. Can you imagine? Palin can continue in this role supporting policy and candidates that fit the "tea party" principles that most conservatives yearn for and speaking out on issues of importance during speaking engagements. I have met her personally, have seen her speak live and I warn you to underestimate her at your own peril.

And a special nod to Glenn Beck, whose foresight and courage to walk the plank alerting the American citizenry of the progressives aggressive march make him an American Hero in my mind.

2. Regarding the stock market, I may sell about 25% of everything of my positions and ride this out on the sidelines. What say you?

For sure, we will revisit the "flash crash" levels. Unfortunately, I think we will take another 15% or so down from there at a minimum. Companies have been beating earnings estimates that were revised down so deeply it makes them look better than they actually are. While I do think the economy is improving slightly, the housing crisis is not over, the unemployment rate under the policies being implemented will remain elevated for some time and the debt levels are unsustainable.

The environment is against small business, who creates jobs and innovates. This will put a brake on the recovery effort, as will governmental intervention efforts like health care, financial reform and cap and trade, which would be horrendous to small business.

Once it seems baked in the cake Obama is finished, a major move higher will take place. Until then, while their are individual opportunities which require tight supervision, cash is king!

3. You recently responded in the comment section to a Facebook entry by Eric Bolling of FOX Business as he discussed being thrown under the bus by Media Matters when he spoke of progressives ruining this country. Did Bolling go too far?

Absolutely not. I am gravely concerned about the direction the current administration is taking this country and am in total agreement with Eric that the progressives are ruining this country, and in a hurry.

The administration is lawless in many regards and seems to be following Saul Alinsky's Rules For Radicals as evidenced by how they treat those in opposition to them. The appease our enemies, apologize for America and fail to recognize America's position as a divinely inspired land that stands apart from the rest of the world. The administration lacks an appreciation for our Founding Fathers and favors collective rights rather than individual rights. They are economically inept and the foreign policy decisions boggle the mind. This is nothing more than a group of thugs from Chicago who are interested in righting the perceived wrongs of the past and seem poised to use global warming as a vehicle for the global transfer of wealth through whatever corrupt means necessary.

While I have had this right on the blog the whole road traveled, America is waking up slowly. I fear it may be too late. As Ronald Reagan said, "if we lose freedom here there is no place to escape to, this is the last stand on earth".

4. With the Big Ten talking expansion, College Football is apparently on the verge of what could become a major realignment of the conferences. Your take?

I am a traditionalist in this regard and have a great appreciation for the old rivalries we find across the country. I also like the intersectional matchups we usually see in September before conference play begins. One thing I do not like conferences having some members for basketball and then others for football, and look no further than the Big East for an example of this.

I think the best course of action would be for Notre Dame to drop the arrogance and join the Big Ten, which would allow the conference to hold a championship game and keep the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry. The Pac Ten needs to expand to have 12 teams and follow suit with a championship game, with expansion teams being Boise State and Utah (BYU has obstacles which knock them out).

I think the demise of the Big 12 and potentially the ACC as we know it then triggering possible SEC expansion when and if the dominoes start to fall would not be good for the color and pageantry of NCAA College Football.

5. Guests on "Imus in the Morning" are asked to list their five favorite songs, What are your top five?

Wow! This will be tough. Here are five that come to mind in no particular order.

"In My Life"
The Beatles

"Kashmir"
Led Zeppelin

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
The Beatles

"Rhiannon"
Fleetwood Mac

"Simple Man"
Lynyrd Skynyrd

Your Time Is Gonna Come

A tell it like is photo found on the Reaganite Republican, I wholeheartedly echo this thought.

The Mac is Back

Fleetwood Mac is back out on the road, and FOX News Anita Vogel caught up with the tour and spoke with Lindsay Buckingham.

Christine McVie is not along for the tour, and that is a significant loss, but Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks are and with the collective talent in this mega-band the show will continue strong. Fleetwood Mac remains a solid #3 for me, behind The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.
