Iron Leadership Lost

The Iron Lady, former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, passed away this morning at age 87.

Lady Thatcher, joining Pope John Paul II and Ronald Reagan, shined the light on freedom and were instrumental leaders in defeating the Soviet Union, without firing a shot I might add.  She had said she entered politics because of the conflict between good and evil, hoping she could help good triumph.  Only in rare instance has a collection of leadership been so effective defeating evil and in the promotion of freedom for the people and free market economic liberty.

Thatcher believed that free marker capitalism, rather than the socialism Europe embraced as she took office, provided the best path to prosperity. She took on all those who challenged her, stating the case from her heart with stern eloquence.

"And I will go on criticising Socialism, and opposing Socialism because it is bad for Britain — and Britain and Socialism are not the same thing. (...) It’s the Labour Government that have brought us record peace-time taxation. They’ve got the usual Socialist disease — they’ve run out of other people’s money".

Sadly, those in government these days seem to have forgotten this lesson, if they ever understood it at all.

A statement from The Reagan Ranch may have said it best, Lady Thatcher made profound contributions to liberty and freedom in Britain and throughout the world.

In an era where the left has abandoned any reasonable level of civil discourse, I am reminded of a telling quote from Lady Thatcher: "I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left."

Indeed.

God Bless You Lady Thatcher!

Evil An Opponent of Freedom

The History Channel's epic five part mini-series The Bible concluded on Easter Sunday, and I hope you had occasion to watch. It was, in a word, tremendous. Executive producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey preserved and did a fabulous job bringing these stories to life. Additionally, the cast from top to bottom was exemplary, particularly Diogo Morgado, who played the role of Jesus.
Morgado put in a brilliant performance, and is knocking the door to stardom down.

In part three, Satan made an appearance for the first time and a controversy was born.  Many thought the Satan character had a striking resemblance to a very familiar person, President Obama.  In the interest of full disclosure, I immediately saw Obama when Satan appeared.  The producers dismissed any connection between President Obama and the Satan character in the film. The actor who played the role looks nothing like Obama in real life and is appalled to think others saw Obama in his portrayal of the Satan character.  Downey commented she was almost heart broken that the conversation went in this direction as opposed to the actual story being presented.  Good point.

As the controversy emerged, the left went ballistic, wondering how sick someone must be to correlate Obama with Satan.  Among the leaders lowering the level of discourse is a familiar outlet, who finds racism at the core of this, and every, issue.

However, in a recent poll, approximately one in four Americans thought Obama may be the Anti-Christ.

Certainly, Obama is not Satan, or the anti-Christ.  But is it so far fetched to associate President Obama with evil? I contend it is not.

In his association with ACORN, Obama taught Saul Alinsky, which focuses on non civil approaches to achieve goals with the ends justifying the means, no matter whether they violate common moral guidelines.  In fact, Alinsky's book Rules For Radicals, the bible for leftist activists, is dedicated to Lucifer.

The policies enacted by President Obama, policies that restrict freedom and reduce incentives, offer a top down government aimed at controlling the masses through expansion of the welfare state, robbing the individual of free agency

Wealth transformation, simply stated as theft, oppresses those who do the necessary work to achieve greatness enabling those who do not offered in implementation by technocrats and government officials who think they know better.  These oppressive dictator style officials think they alone can dictate markets among the populous, picking winners through crony capitalism exhibiting no respect for the rule of law.

President Obama is set to release a budget this week, a budget that will include significant revenue increases, otherwise stated, tax increases.  Given that almost half of our citizenry pay no income taxes, this another effort at wealth transformation.  Basic economic theory is not a strong suit of this group, as when you increase taxation on something you get less of it.  Prosperity comes to mind.  The economic reality of the point is so simple, it can be written on a napkin. The Laffer Curve is quite illustrative.

Jesus was an opponent of oppressive tax collectors, knowing the government utilized the taxes to oppress the people.  In today's world, although a base of taxation for a limited government to provide basic services for it citizens is necessary, rarely have governments operated efficiently or exercised restraint in spending money the take from those they govern over.  As Lady Thatcher famously said, socialism is great until you run out of everyone elses money.

Governments run by technocrats and dictators who oppress their citizenry through suffocating taxation and regulation house the types of individuals and regimes that brought the wrath of our loving God.  Those in governance who implement restriction of freedom of the people in various forms of oppression are evil and have been since the beginning of time.  The story is told over and over again in the Bible.

Thankfully, The History Channel presented the work of Mark Brunett and Roma Downey in their epic mini series The Bible.  It is hoped that many who may never have had the opportunity can learn of the great news, and recognize that freedom is the key to a peaceful, moral existence in our journey on earth.

Post Race Analysis

Absolutely stunning.

President Obama
Boy howdy, did I have it wrong.

I am in good company, joining Ann Coulter, Charles Krauthammer, Glenn Beck, Larry Kudlow, Michael Barone, Karl Rove and Dick Morris. Among those who had it nailed was Larry Sabato.

What area of my analysis was so flawed that led me draw conclusions that were so in error?  Well, as incorrect as I was, arm-chair quarterbacking seems useless.  However, the area I have zeroed in on leads to a larger point.

I agreed wholeheartedly with the post race analysis of David Barton, who centered in on decades of education that failed to accurately present the fundamentals of being knowledgeable and participatory in the pursuit of economic freedom, complete with lacking moral perspective.

Individuals in the age range of say 20-34 grew up within the technological age, with exponential increases in product advancements.  For many, hard work and ethics were not necessary to acquire many materialistic items, and the basis and desire for the pursuit is lacking.

Furthermore, Obama and Biden and their surrogates operated in a most immoral fashion throughout the campaign, lying and ridiculing opponents allowing them to win at any costs necessary.  If I acted like that at my job, I would be fired as we are asked to operate in maximum efficiency adhering to rules of common decency and decorum.

Obama lies in speeches, sounding quite good to the American Idol crowd, but actually does not pursue any of the common sense seemingly obvious courses of action he mentions.  Reducing the debt, which exploded under his watch, and increasing energy, which his instruction has handicapped, are two examples from his victory speech last night.

The Republican Party needs to do a much better job of dismantling the falsehoods they are painted with, and doing a better job a presenting the case of establishing economic freedom, something the public education system has failed miserably to do.

Mitt Romney would have been a terrific representative as President of the United States, and unlike 51% of my fellow citizens, I was pained to learn he would not have that chance. Romney, and Paul Ryan, are fine men.

I fear for the future.  President Obama will continue to spend, increasing taxation and regulation along the way. His warm smile fronts a jaded mask, and a man who is not at peace and will aim to demonize those who dare to oppose him in his wealth transformative efforts.

For those who did not learn it in school, we remember Lady Thatcher, who quipped "Socialism is great until you run out of everyone elses money."

I have a news flash for you; we are out of money.

Surfing With Serfs

The Democrats frequently inform us that evil corporations are not people, just faceless entities who deserve to be looted since they exploited the citizenry for profits.

Recently, I wrote checks out of my corporations accounts to pay federal and state unemployment tax, along with the regular and increasing taxes due either quarterly or annually. Last time I looked, I am a person.

Meanwhile, President Obama is proposing budgets that increase the debt exponentially, and if implemented, could very well collapse our country, Cloward and Piven style. As utterly insulting as Obama's budget is, at least he produced one, unlike the Senate, who under Harry Reid, D:NV, have failed in their legal and fiduciary responsibility to submit one.

Question for you. If you have an annual debt the size of your total assets, would you not think it prudent to put together a budget in an effort to identify and rein in cost cutting opportunities? Yeah, me too.

In the mail this past week came notice that, because the state of Florida had to borrow from the federal government to pay unemployment benefits, an additional unemployment tax must be paid by each of my corporations to cover the cost of the interest. Lovely, incompetence in fiscal management by the government requires additional tax payments by corporations, hence, individuals. Idiots at large.

Senator Jim DeMint, R:SC, sat down with Larry Kudlow to discuss his Wall Street Journal editorial piece and how the financial malfeasance of Obama and his Progressive Senatorial cohorts threatens the sovereignty of our nation. Take a listen:

Beyond the absurd fantasy of the President's budget, the administration is now floating the idea of a global minimum tax. Can you imagine? We are nothing but broke and now we want to tax our citizenry to expand the transfer of wealth masquerading as funding global initiatives. This is insanity, unless you are tyring to bring America down to the level of third world nations. It was President Obama who said America was no more special than any other nation. So in the name of fairness, Obama will implement plans to have America share her wealth.

It was Margaret Thatcher that said socialism is fine until you run out of other peoples money, and at that time, bad things happen. See Greece. As Ronald Reagan said, the more the planners plan, the more the planners fail. While elitest government officials think they can better plan your life than you can, it was our founding fathers who based our economy on free market principles who were correct, as free market capitalism remains the best path to prosperity.

Freidrich Hayek' outstanding chronicle The Road To Serfdom thoroughly explains the path our government is leading us on, a path that leads to the destruction of society. Glenn Beck covers this masterpiece thoroughly HERE, HERE, and HERE, but this video is short and stout. Take a look:

Several components are in play now. The media is a giant propaganda machine, and a future dictator finds it most helpful. Early steps of the dictator is to inflame the majority in common cause against some scapegoat minority, the investors and bankers. The least educated, led by firery oratory, form a party or occupy in protest. The formation of a civil army is being formed, with many a propaganda arm.

America must stop the insanity, recognize the lies (unemployment rate as an example) and change course quickly, before it is too late. We have run out of everyone else's money.

Is The Game Up?

The US financial markets blew up in 2008 in the aftermath of a housing crisis, a bubble caused by easy money and governmental influence, one far from in conclusion. According to the Obama administration, their policies pulled the US economy from the brink of depression and have jump started a recovery. And I am King Tut.

Birth Pangs. Day by day since, there continue to be warning signs of global financial collapse across the globe. From France burning two years ago to London two weeks ago, the natives are restless and are lashing out.

Broken in spirit, void of incentive and corralled from leadership, the youth who were promised a gravy train from a central planning government are violently attacking now that the money has run out. A history of Margaret Thatcher would seem appropriate.

Europe, joined at the hip in promoting global socialism, and through inclusion in the EU, search for stability by limiting member governments from operating independently with the necessary flexibility to innovate and increase production and individual wealth. Who could have seen the negative fall out coming?

Nigel Farage for one.

Farage hits a home run, one which should be absorbed as a shot heard round the world. Investors Business Daily notes in today's edition that Euro Zone debt fears start to hit France as the 10 year yield spread between France and Germany has tripled in recent weeks, which could be foretelling the financial contagion is spreading to the heart of Europe, just as Farage predicted.

Former FED Chair Alan Greenspan, The Maestro, who contributed to the easy money platform the housing crisis sprang from, weighed in on the Euro today, noting “The euro is breaking down and the process of its breaking down is creating very considerable difficulties in the European banking system,” Greenspan continues the European contraction would hurt profitability and stock values of American companies. You think?

The more central planners plan, the more their plans fail. The more their plans fail, the more they plan. Continue as they must to contain the fallout, we know one thing. Well, it won't work.

Greenspan correctly pointed out “The problem is that there is a growing cleavage in the economic and analytical and banking circles as to whether the Euro, which is the crucial issue here, should be 17 countries with very significantly different cultures” regarding the role of government, consumer spending and inflation. Indeed, while there can be alliances to further trade agreements, each country should have independent currencies for sound monetary policies to anchor allowing the necessary flexibility needed to create sustainable growth.

This is not the case in Europe, and with America moving swiftly to a cradle to grave entitlement nanny state, a global collapse is all but certain. PIIGS don't fly. Bailouts will lead to more bailouts, and at some point the money runs out.

Farage is quite right in hoping market principles derail the central planning elites prior to the spirit of the individual being lost for eternity. It is the principals of free market capitalism that provides the best path prosperity, and we must seek out and associate with leaders who are rock solid on this principle before the game is up.

Of course, in America, we always have the voting booth to cleanse out those void of our founding principles. At least for now.

Idiots At Large

Most folks derive their principle beliefs from their faith, families, educational background and life experiences. Therefore, considering most folks live in the real world, I have often wondered where all the Progressive Democrats, Liberals and Socialists obtain the core of their beliefs. Where?

HT/The NEW ZEAL

It is time these "free thinkers" get learned. Those who have jumped on the bandwagon thinking America is oppressive and are champions of class warfare should take the words of Margaret Thatcher to heart, that socialism is great until you run out of other peoples money.

Uncle Sam is out of money. Unless we gather a sensible government who embraces the free market principles that usher in prosperity soon, civil unrest like you are witnessing in Greece is coming our way. It may be anyhow.

Idiots are at large. Buckle up America.

Unemployment Benefits Extend Misery

CNBC's Larry Kudlow is back from vacation during the Winter Olympics and picked up where he left off; correctly lambasting the economic policies of our current administration.

The blocking of the extension of the unemployment benefits led to a conversation with Alan Reynolds of the CATO Institute on the potential liabilities of extending these benefits, and it is worth your time.

The Washington Times reports the number of Americans relying on on the government is at an all time high, and this is dangerous. Investors Business Daily has more. America is not a bailout nation, and was built on the back of hard work and and a inner spirit. Margaret Thatcher spoke profound words when she said "Europe was created by history. America was created by philosophy". The economic philosophy is Free Market Capitalism!

Personal accountability is non existent for far too many these days and it could lead to a drastic change in the makeup of our country going forward as it appears to be heading toward socialism. One would be prudent to remember what Margaret Thatcher once said about that, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of everyone else's money.”
