Texas Congressman Louis Gohmert told One America News that some very familiar names pressured members of the House Freedom Caucus to rethink who they would endorse for Speaker.
“Promises were made and as I understand it, our friend Senator Jim DeMint, now head of the Heritage Foundation was making calls persuading…really shocked me. I don’t guess I was so surprised that Newt Gingrich was making calls behind the scenes to Freedom Caucus members to tell them, ‘you gotta cave and go with Paul,’” Gohmert said.
Backdoor promises that are made, crossing the aisle to collaborate with those who plot the demise of our nation as founded and the elitism of the ruling class to govern above the head of the people they are elected to represent is appalling and dishonorable.
Shame on former Sen. DeMint of the Heritage Foundation for this betrayal of our founding principles as Ryan pledges to govern outside of the people, unwilling to have his authority challenged.
We continue to support Rep. Dan Webster (R:FL) for Speaker, and extend our greatest appreciation to Rep. Gohmert for keeping up the fight for freedom!

Surfing With Serfs
The Democrats frequently inform us that evil corporations are not people, just faceless entities who deserve to be looted since they exploited the citizenry for profits.
Recently, I wrote checks out of my corporations accounts to pay federal and state unemployment tax, along with the regular and increasing taxes due either quarterly or annually. Last time I looked, I am a person.
Meanwhile, President Obama is proposing budgets that increase the debt exponentially, and if implemented, could very well collapse our country, Cloward and Piven style. As utterly insulting as Obama's budget is, at least he produced one, unlike the Senate, who under Harry Reid, D:NV, have failed in their legal and fiduciary responsibility to submit one.
Question for you. If you have an annual debt the size of your total assets, would you not think it prudent to put together a budget in an effort to identify and rein in cost cutting opportunities? Yeah, me too.
In the mail this past week came notice that, because the state of Florida had to borrow from the federal government to pay unemployment benefits, an additional unemployment tax must be paid by each of my corporations to cover the cost of the interest. Lovely, incompetence in fiscal management by the government requires additional tax payments by corporations, hence, individuals. Idiots at large.
Senator Jim DeMint, R:SC, sat down with Larry Kudlow to discuss his Wall Street Journal editorial piece and how the financial malfeasance of Obama and his Progressive Senatorial cohorts threatens the sovereignty of our nation. Take a listen:
Beyond the absurd fantasy of the President's budget, the administration is now floating the idea of a global minimum tax. Can you imagine? We are nothing but broke and now we want to tax our citizenry to expand the transfer of wealth masquerading as funding global initiatives. This is insanity, unless you are tyring to bring America down to the level of third world nations. It was President Obama who said America was no more special than any other nation. So in the name of fairness, Obama will implement plans to have America share her wealth.
It was Margaret Thatcher that said socialism is fine until you run out of other peoples money, and at that time, bad things happen. See Greece. As Ronald Reagan said, the more the planners plan, the more the planners fail. While elitest government officials think they can better plan your life than you can, it was our founding fathers who based our economy on free market principles who were correct, as free market capitalism remains the best path to prosperity.
Freidrich Hayek' outstanding chronicle The Road To Serfdom thoroughly explains the path our government is leading us on, a path that leads to the destruction of society. Glenn Beck covers this masterpiece thoroughly HERE, HERE, and HERE, but this video is short and stout. Take a look:
Several components are in play now. The media is a giant propaganda machine, and a future dictator finds it most helpful. Early steps of the dictator is to inflame the majority in common cause against some scapegoat minority, the investors and bankers. The least educated, led by firery oratory, form a party or occupy in protest. The formation of a civil army is being formed, with many a propaganda arm.
America must stop the insanity, recognize the lies (unemployment rate as an example) and change course quickly, before it is too late. We have run out of everyone else's money.

SOPA and PIPA Internet Cloaking Device

Under the premise of protecting America's copyrighted material from being stolen, two bills are now before Congress that would give the government the ability to censor prospective violators. The bills, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, as they are presented, seem innocent enough as everyone wants intellectual property protected.
GOP South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint, one of the good guys, is in opposition. “I support intellectual property rights, but I oppose SOPA & PIPA,” DeMint wrote in a tweet. “They’re misguided bills that will cause more harm than good.”
I fear DeMint may not be aware of the ultimate intent of these measures, which will seize a large chunk of our freedom. Billionaire investor Warren Buffett has always said he will not invest in any company where he does not understand their business model. I understand the business model, and it is nefarious, as is most governmental interaction in regulating the citizenry.
One of the many Czars appointed by President of Obama, who operate outside of congressional oversight, is Marc Lloyd. Lloyd, a disciple of Saul Alinsky, is The FCC Diversity in Chief, and he believes that State control over the media is a necessary vehicle for the social change, or transformation of America, that President Obama seeks. In this video, made before Obama was elected, Lloyd discusses his admiration for "the incredible "Democratic" revolution in Venezuela" under Hugo Chavez where media reform helped implement social change. Social change in the form of a dictatorship. Take a listen, and if you are unfamiliar with Lloyd, sit down first:
With countless examples, this administration is operating outside of our system of checks and balances, seemingly in an effort to match Venezuela in the formation of a Dictatorship. It is clear an imperial presidency is being formed:
This administration should not be trusted, and a line in the sand needs to be drawn on all future regulatory actions put forth for your supposed benefit. Obama will not let any crisis go to waste. In the case of an emergency, when those in charge step forward for your benefit, act in opposition.
Regulations are being implemented as seemingly common sense initiatives that are stealing your freedom. A structure is being built, and when you recognize it, America as you know it will a distant memory, and it will be too late to stop the "Democratic Revolution" Lloyd spoke of.
Join us in calling your Representatives and demanding the government cease the proposed invasive regulations on the free speech of the citizenry via the Internet.

Pony Up

In preparation for a potential run, James has founded Texas for a Better America, which focuses on the ideals of free markets, entrepreneurial spirit, protecting the Constitution and American Exceptionalism. James seems like a great guy, and with a platform like that he could be the type of representative we are searching for.
James would be joining an already crowded field. One of his potential GOP opponents, Ted Cruz, who I am unfamiliar with but who has the endorsements of David Barton, Jim DeMint and Rand Paul, each of whom I respect and support, has a great video hammering Obama. Check out The ghost of Obama's Future:

Boiling Tea
Through the actions of many elected officials on both sides of the isle over a long period of time, extended recklessly by the Democratic leadership of the Congress and a President bent on social justice through the redistribution of wealth, our country finds itself on the verge of financial ruin. In a stunning episode of arrogance, our President is playing politics, needlessly scaring our senior community and simply lying to the American people.
From the front page of the Monday edition of Investor's Business Daily:

"SHOW ME A PLAN in terms of what you're doing in terms of debt and deficit reduction," said President Obama at a White House news conference Friday. "If they show me a serious plan I'm ready to move even if it requires me to make some tough decisions.
In this small statement, we can learn just about everything we need to know at this critical time.
Backtracking for a moment, we recall President Obama and the Democrats had control of both Houses and the Presidency for 18 months, running up mind boggling debt. The Senate has not presented a budget during this period, and President Obama proposed a budget which increased the debt and was so extreme it got no support, from the Democrats!

Having spent us into the stratosphere, the President is now willing to backtrack a few hundred million, which is almost meaningless. This over a decade time frame, long after we throw him and his arrogant incompetence out of office.
Quoting The Gipper, "It is time to reawaken this industrial giant, to get government back within its means, and to lighten our punitive tax burden. And these will be our first priorities, and on these principles, there will be no compromise."

The debt ceiling debate, which everyone pointed to as the first test of the Republican House after the mid terms last fall, appears to only have sneaked up on President Obama while he was playing golf and failing to create jobs.
Republican Congressman Paul Ryan recently released his Roadmap for Recovery, which detailed a plan to reign in the out of control spending, only to be insulted by a condescending President Obama in a press conference. In addition, Democrat Erskine Bowles joined former Republican Senator Alan Simpson on a bipartisan commission, who came up with recommendations Obama ignored. South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint has put forth "Cut, Cap and Balance" plan, which passed the House tonight 234-190. So, here are three plans, but I gather they are not considered serious by Obama, since they do not match the redistributive tax increasing wealth punishing route he prefers.
That the President is set to make some tough decisions demonstrates the level of arrogance in the White House. The President, along with Nancy Pelosi, has spent more than all other Presidents combined. See the following chart:

Having spent us into the stratosphere, the President is now willing to backtrack a few hundred million, which is almost meaningless. This over a decade time frame, long after we throw him and his arrogant incompetence out of office.
Many are concerned about a stock market collapse if we do not raise the debt ceiling. The same concerns were prevalent during the TARP debate. When an agreement went south, the market sold off hard. But TARP was the wrong decision. The market will not like Cut, Cap and Balance at first either, but after it, and our creditors, recognize we are taking the necessary steps to correct he problem, the market will rise after knowing the right long term decision was made.
Cut, Cap and Balance is the way to go. Reagan would be behind it in spades. How do I know?

No Compromise on Financial Principles
Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform, has all the sudden seemingly got everyone all fatootsed by ATR's Taxpayer Protection Pledge.
A few weeks back, my Uncle, a liberal Democrat to be sure, sent word of his displeasure, wondering how a Republican can sign a pledge to follow an individual or organizations wishes irregardless of current events? I am left bewildered by the thought of his ignorance of the extensive tentacles of George Soros.
Van Jones, the smooth talking former Obama Green Jobs Czar and a committed Communist, slams the pledge:
Van Jones, the smooth talking former Obama Green Jobs Czar and a committed Communist, slams the pledge:
"There's nothing wrong with having an orientation that you are reluctant to raise taxes. That is not the problem. The problem is, when you surrender your judgement as an elected official who has taken an oath to the Americna people to a single individual and sign a separate loyalty pledge away from the U.S. Constitution, that says 'no matter what happens in my country I will never let America increase tax revenues.' I think that's wrong."
Jones is a smart guy and has a point, but in his actions diverts from his thought process as he is signed, sealed and delivered for Obama, who is arrogantly circumventing the Constitution on what seems to be a weekly basis.
Former President Bill Clinton has even joined the chorus of critics, no doubt in timely deliverance as the debt ceiling date of proclaimed apocalypse approaches. The Democrats are eager to go back to the tax levels of the Clinton years, but forget about the trillions of dollars of senseless entitlement spending both parties contributed to but has exponentially expanded under Obama and tyrannical regime.
What is all this actually about? CNBC's Larry Kudlow sits down with Norquist and former Senator Archer Davis (D:AL) to sort it out:
Kudlow has it right in his assumption.
Kudlow has it right in his assumption.
As it turns out, I am against elected officials singing pledges of this sort. However, the Democrats screaming about this are disingenuous at best.
I am reminded of the Overton Window theory. The Obama administration has spent money with wreckless abandon for years but now seeks compromise by aiming to join Republicans in a bipartisan effort to slightly move back spending (grab a mile and give back a furlong) while hoping Republicans agree to slight revenue enhancements (tax increases) to help cover the costs of exponential expansion of entitlements.
Those sneaky Dems also hope they can create dissension in the GOP over this. For example, GOP 2012 candidate Michele Bachmann has thus far not signed Jim DeMint's Cut, Cap and Balance pledge. She may not, but I have no doubt where she stands, and will vote, on this issue based on her record.
Sunshine is the best disinfectant. There are Progressives on both sides of the aisle. Thanks to these anti capitalist elites, our country is heading toward insolvency which puts our basis of pursuing life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in jeapordy. They must be purged.
While I may not sign the ATR pledge, I will pledge to encourage that any Republican voting for any tax increases or to raise the debt ceiling without substantial victories will have a primary challenger.
It would serve all GOP members engaged in these discussions to hear the words of Ronald Reagan loudly!
"It is time to reawaken this industrial giant, to get government back within its means, and to lighten our punitive tax burden. And these will be our first priorities, and on these principles, there will be no compromise."
NO COMPROMISE!

RIde With Reagan In Time of Choosing
Just when you may have thought it was safe politically for you to go back to your life as you knew it, the heat is turning up on the battle for the survival of The United States of America. It is going to get real ugly on a variety of fronts, including the potential for civil unrest, and it will be difficult to score if you do not, as Glenn Beck puts it, have reason firmly fixed in her seat.
For starters, as anybody with a calculator knows, the financial status of the United States is unsustainable. Given the emergency, you would think our leaders would be falling all over themselves to help fix the problem. To the contrary, they are adding to the problem. President Obama spoke during the State of the Union about freezing spending at current levels, this after the debt he has put on us surpasses all previous Presidents combined. Obama cannot be that stupid, but he thinks you are. Well, don't worry, the Republicans are have the House now. Worry. Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, has had a plan for fiscal repsonsiblility put forth for two years now, that most Republicans run like the wind away from. Unfortunately, many think the elections were about them and now they get to spend our money. These are the Republican Progressives and Intellectual Elites that must be challenged in 2012.
The State of the Union speech was truly eye popping. Obama pontificated the great advance of the Soviet Space Program Sputnik, that launched US innovation, saying that we are at such a moment now. This speech, made just days before the 25th anniversary of the Challenger disaster, failed to make mention of the anniversary or highlight our space triumphs. On top of that, Obama is dismantling NASA and the space program.
Where is the media on all this? You'll never guess. If an effort to boost the sagging popularity of Obama, they are championing him as the second coming of Ronald Reagan. Reaganite Republican is not amused. I resent it.
Ronald Reagan loved America, the history and all our nation stood for, while Obama pledged to transform America. America was seen by The Gipper as the exceptional city on the hill, whereas Obama speaks of America as one of the countries on the map. Reagan inspired the individual and entrepreneurship, while Obama crushes small business owners with increasing taxation and stifling regulation under his wealth transfer agenda. Had anyone read any of Obama's books, it is clear that Obama had a strong distaste for the Reagan policies and he is actively working to dismantle them.
The contrast, with apologies to the idiots over at Time, will shake your bones. The media, in coordinated motion as Reaganite Republican points out, is trying to reshape the real facts. Please take a moment to listen to one of the best speeches ever given, A Time For Choosing. Reagan gave this speech in October of 1964, which will plant you firmly in your seat:
Speaking of A Time For Choosing, we will all be honoring Reagan on what would be his 100th birthday this upcoming February 6. Those sleazy Democrats, partnered up with he liars in the mainstream media, will be pointing at Obama as the new Reagan, even as Reagan would be appalled at the direction Obama aims to take America. In an announcement on January 27, 2011, The Young America's Foundation announced that Governor Sarah Palin will give the keynote address on February 4 at its Reagan 100 Opening Banquet at the Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara, California, for the 100th anniversary celebration of President Reagan's birthday. I am is full support this decision.

It is in fact Palin that best represents Reagan in this day and age. And yes, the media thinks she is a dunce also. Unfortunately, they may be winning the war as many Americans buy into the notion that non Ivy League educated Palin is not capable of leading our country. It is those elites, inclduing Obama, that are the actual idiots, or rather as Reagan said, they just know so much that isn't so.
Back in the day, Democrats underestimated Reagan and many country club Republicans fought hard against him. These are the same Republicans today that think the Tea Party is a problem and have long knives out for Senator Jim Demint, Representative Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin.
The fight among Republicans will present itself soon, so get your scorecard ready. It will not be pretty, but it will be healthy. All these progressive Republicans will be forced to show their faces. Once they are purged, then we shift the fight to the profiteers of propaganda and those in support of the socialistic agenda of Barack Obama, for our freedoms and the survival of our country, the one loved by you and Ronald Reagan, may in fact slip into 1000 years of darkness.
We do have a rendezvous with destiny, for A Time For choosing is fast approaching.

Pontificating Progressive

Graham takes positions most conservatives usually hate, and just when you are ready to throw him overboard, he comes out in strong support of a conservative position. In reality, however, Graham is a progressive I would toss right on out of office as he fails to understand what the principles of the Republican party are.
Here are a few instances of Lindsey Grahamnesty, as Rush Limbaugh so aptly refers to him, pontificating in error in the article.
“The problem with the Tea Party, I think it’s just unsustainable because they can never come up with a coherent vision for governing the country. It will die out.” As a tea party patriot, I can tell you we do have a coherent vision for America, and that is LIMITED GOVERNMENT!
“Everything I’m doing now in terms of talking about climate, talking about immigration, talking about Gitmo is completely opposite of where the Tea Party movement’s at,” said Graham. Indeed! Climate change, or global warming, is simply a vehicle for the global transfer of wealth which Conservatives are vehemently against, including the cap and trade legislation you joined the Democrats in crafting. Furthermore, Club Gitmo is a terrific place to house the terrorists plotting to kill us.
“We don’t have a lot of Reagan-type leaders in our party. Remember Ronald Reagan Democrats? I want a Republican that can attract Democrats.”quipped Graham. No we do not, and that is central to the problem as most of the current bunch do not adhere to the principles outlined by Reagan.
“Ronald Reagan would have a hard time getting elected as a Republican today.” In actual fact, America is searching here to yonder for a Reaganesque leader, one who respects our founding fathers and loves America and the sacrifice and history of our great nation.
Per the article, Graham has commented that Obama is "a good role model" and "an American just as much as anybody else". I certainly do not view the chain smoking Obama as a good role model and can think of no political leader of my lifetime who has shown more anti-American actions and commentary than Obama.
The Times also says his greater transgression, however, has been his willingness — even eagerness — to seek common ground with Democrats. The Democratic party, which has been hijacked by the progressives, is attempting to socialize our capitalist nation, and any progressive Republican like Lindsey Graham assisting them in this effort is an opponent of all conservatives.
The citizens of America, Reagan Democrats and conservative Republicans alike, have had quite enough of the progressives and their assault on America. As such, Graham represents the individuals the tea party patriots despise.
Hopefully, the Senator from South Carolina might have some Presidential aspirations. I would be happy to consider the potential Presidency of Jim Demint.

Caution Flag as Bennett Blasts Beck

Bennett feels that Beck's personal failings with addiction should not be extrapolated into the public sphere, as Beck often does in describing the lessons he has learned over the years, rising from rock bottom to rock star. Do these lessons translate to life in general, inclusive of politics? You betcha they do! I find stories of redemption and hard work en route to success inspiring, as it is the pursuit of happyness. These politicians that have mortgaged our children's future for their grandstanding and addiction to power need to recognize the level their destruction has had on our livelihood, and the rise in the degree of difficulty of our children to pursue the American dream.
During the speech, Beck signaled that most Republicans have not admitted to the parties failings or problems. Bennett strongly disagrees. Both men have strong points. Have there been Republicans who have stood up in the face of the the governmental power grab and the redistribution of wealth? Bennett mentions a few that have, including Mike Pence (R:IN), Jim Demint (R;SC), Paul Ryan (R:WI) and Tom Coburn (R:OK). Indeed, those folks have, and I would certainly include Michele Bachmann (R:MN), Eric Cantor (R:VA) and Darrell Issa (R:CA) on the list. But there are several who have not, including John McCain (R:AZ). I have great respect for Mr. McCain, and against Barack Obama in the 2008 election, I strongly supported him. But he was about my fourth choice in the primaries, due to his less than conservative views on many subjects, most notably the proposed cap and trade legislation.
Bennett discards Beck's assertion that there is not much difference between the two parties and Bennett, for the most part, is correct. However, there are many cases where Republicans support anti-conservative and progressive legislation and appointments. Look no further than former GOP member Arlen Specter and South Carolina Seantor Lindsey Graham, who supports cap and trade and climate change legislation and who voted for the appointment of Sonia Sotomayor, an ACORN supporter, to the SCOTUS. Florida Governor Charlie Crist, who is running for US Senate and is down huge in primary polling, supported President Obama's stimulus package. While many are quite different, there are those who are not, including aforementioned folks near the top of the Republican Party.

Bennett closes, The first task of a serious political analyst is to see things as they are. There is a difference between morning and night. There is a difference between drunk and sober. And there is a difference between the Republican and Democratic parties. To ignore these differences, or propagate the myth that they don’t exist, is not only discouraging, it is dangerous. I submit to Mr. Bennett that WE THE PEOPLE saw how things were a year ago, with elected leaders drunk with arrogance and failing to listen to those who entrusted them with the honor of representing us. A governing body, with few exceptions, who are engaged in the taking over of industries, the attempted seizure of portions of the economy through climate change and cap and trade legislation and the transformation of America, with extremely limited transparency, is indeed discouraging and dangerous.
We, along with Glenn Beck, attempted to do something about it. Not the Republican party, of which I am a member, but us, WE THE PEOPLE. We surrounded them, all of the them! And still do, even at the ACORN infested ballot box!
