Right From The Beginning

Pat Buchanan says the emerging foundation of a new GOP is taking shape.

I find Pat in error when he asks "Who is campaigning, in either party today, for open borders, or passing The Trans-Pacific Partnership, or sending troops back to Iraq or into Syria? The DEMS strongly favor open borders along with establishment GOP who favor the cheap labor, and Rubio cast the sixtieth vote on TPP, which erodes our sovereignty and the power of Congress.

I do agree with Buchanan's assessment "the returns from the primaries look like the passing of the old order, the death rattle of an establishment fighting for its life, and being laughed at and mocked as it goes down."

Buchanan is a smart cat, and has been providing outstanding political analysis right from the beginning, pun intended as that is the title of a book written by Buchanan back in 1988.

Time To Take Your Government Back

It has been an interesting day in the political arena, which over the last decade and a half has seemingly completed a slow creep encroachment into our daily lives.

Two examples are presented for your review.

Just today, Rep. Paul Ryan, R:WI, announced he will step in and make a run at Speaker of the House, but demanded that certain conditions be met. The Blaze reports "Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) told his GOP colleagues Tuesday night that he would seek the speakership if every Republican caucus endorsed him for the job."

The establishment is falling in line, as Rep.Jason Chaffetz @jasoninthehouse (R:UT) tweeted “I am out and supporting @RepPaulRyan for Speaker. Right person at the right time.”

No, that would be Daniel Webster, R:FL, and man of principle.

Although not even on the job yet, Ryan is demanding conditions our representatives must meet.  Screw Ryan!  He failed miserably to meet the one and only condition he was tasked with when the voters placed the GOP in control of the House:  Stop Obama!

Among the items Ryan failed to stop Obama on was illegal immigration.  But, as Conservative Review’s Daniel Horowitz recently wrote, “There is nobody around in the party who is more fanatically dedicated to the cause of open borders than Paul Ryan.” In fact, the left favors his candidacy.

Ryan, who supported the Trade Promotion Authority voted to continue funding Planned Parenthood (are you kidding me?), is a ruling class progressive who would continue governments encroachment over the citizenry.

Also today, as report by The Daily Signal, "the Senate Democrats blocked legislation that would punish “sanctuary cities” in a 54-45 vote Monday afternoon. The bill, called the Stop Sanctuary Policies and Protect Americans Act, needed to overcome a 60-vote threshold. It would withhold certain federal funding from states or cities that refuse to comply with requests from federal immigration officials to turn over immigrants who are in the country illegally".  See how your Senator voted.

As Patrick J. Buchanan warned, "a country that cannot control its borders is no longer a country."

Illegal immigrants can continue to be harbored by cities promoting open borders, even if our citizens are getting killed. Bill O'Reilly is torqued, and so am I.

Enough.  It is time to take your government back from the ruling class elitists who think they can control your lives and make better decisions for how you should conduct your life than you can.

Impeach. It Is Past Time

The Republican Party has seemingly always been involved in an internal struggle between the moderate elite ruling class and the conservative wing.  You may not recall, what with the conservative Reagan economic revolution and landslide victories, the even The Great Communicator was fought tooth and nail by the moderate GOP of the day.

Same story, different day, only, like our nation, the divide has greatly expanded.

A great example of this can be found by a retrospective examination of the recent GOP primary runoff in Mississippi. The extraordinary lengths the GOP establishment undertook to defeat tea party conservative candidate Chris McDaniel and push near comatose Thad Cochran to victory was nothing short of despicable.

It is noted the GOP establishment will sadly go after conservatives with lethal weaponry, but in the fight against big government progressives, legitimate winning strategies and tools for victory are found to be perhaps offending and are left on the table.  This is not by happenstance, because in far too many instances, the GOP establishment and the Progressive Democrats are on the same squad; the big government elite, America's ruling class.

The actions undertaken by the Obama administration on the border, at a number of levels, are lawless and a violation of our Constitution. The Cloward-Piven Strategy, thoroughly covered here on the blog, is being implemented with full speed with America's eyes wide open, and I am frankly amazed folks are not marching with pitch forks.  As Sen. Jeff Sessions, R:AL, pointed out in a letter to Congress; the situation is dire and could well "threatens the foundations of our Constitutional Republic".  Boy howdy, is he correct.  In more ways than one, we are in a Constitutional crisis.

Sarah Palin
With this in mind, Sarah Palin has had enough, and said it is time to impeach President Obama.

President Obama’s rewarding of lawlessness, including his own, is the foundational problem here. It’s not going to get better, and in fact irreparable harm can be done in this lame-duck term as he continues to make up his own laws as he goes along, and, mark my words, will next meddle in the U.S. Court System with appointments that will forever change the basic interpretation of our Constitution’s role in protecting our rights.

It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.

The many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored. If after all this he’s not impeachable, then no one is.

Palin did not mince words, and given the peril Uncle Sam is in, it is not time for to be unclear. Given the laundry list of impeachable offenses, including the IRS scandal and weapon running, the border is in fact the transformation of America as we know it and is in violation of immigration laws.

You would think that the moderate Democrats and most every Republican would be in agreement with Palin, as adhering the law and protect our sovereignty are integral duties of our President.

But you would be wrong.

Very few, if any Democrats, are voicing concern.  Perhaps Rep. Henry Cuellar, D:TX, who previously proposed legislation allowing Obama to seek a third term, has been most vocal on the left. Most of the administration Obamabots are attacking her, most notably Attorney General Eric Holder, who should be arrested.

But Palin is also met with resistance by the GOP establishment, with ABC News noting seven who disagree with her.  The list includes the weakness known as Speaker Boehner, progressive John McCain and pundit Bill Kristol, who has been batting about.375 in his political assessments of late.

Pat Buchanan
Perhaps three of the most respected voices, who although noting appropriate grounds, opposing Palin in her call to impeach are former VP Dick Cheney, Thomas Sowell and Patrick J. Buchanan.  A bridge too far, claimed the esteemed author, pundit and former presidential candidate. There are significant differences now than the nation faced with Richard Nixon noted Buchanan, public will the most significant.

"Republicans should drop the talk of impeachment. For the GOP would gain nothing and risk everything if the people began to take seriously their threats to do to Barack Obama what Newt Gingrich’s House did to Bill Clinton".

Pat Buchanan is absolutely correct if your objective is for the GOP to win the most seats possible in the House and Senate.  Thomas Sowell, a brilliant economist and author, summarized essentially the same premise put forth by Buchanan in an Investors Business Daily editorial piece.

Finally, it appears Obama is getting hit in the polls and for the GOP to control the House and Senate would be more effective in controlling Obama than an effort to formally impeach stirring up anybody and everybody amongst the citizenry.

Does that matter much anyway, as the GOP has put up little notable resistance to the policies of Obama, outside of a few brave souls, each of which would be considered conservative if not Tea Party?  I think not, as these are the same members of the progressive aforementioned ruling class.

Furthermore, Obama is turning 200 mile an hour laps on The Road We Are Traveling, which is part of the Fabian Socialist Revolution.  Freedom and liberty are burning off faster than exhaust.

With respect to Buchanan, it is Sarah Palin who is once again correct.  While the points made by Buchanan are politically expedient, we are done playing politics.  Our nation is at stake.

It is far time to operate on principle and law.  After all, are we not a nation of laws and not of men?

Obviously, Obama thinks he is the chosen one, the one who dictates the laws, which ones are adhered to and which ones are not.  Our President is wrong, far beyond the law, routinely operating outside of the Constitution and arrogantly out of line. The actions he is engaged in, particularly on the border which is placing the sovereignty of nation jeopardy, must be stopped.

Surely, there will be a political price.  However, no matter the price, our citizenry must force our elected officials to conduct themselves within the laws of our nation.  If they fail to govern by the laws and principles and consent of the governed, they must be removed.

It is our elected representatives that undertake that action on our behalf.  As Sarah Palin appropriately said, it is time to impeach.

The Will of the People

Back when I was in college, before cable networks had a 24 hours news cycle, ABC's World News Tonight was my preferred source on national news matters. Man, have times changed.

Washington Post opinion writer and ABC's George Will has some advice for Republicans as the 2012 presidential election draws near. With the likely nominee for the GOP being Mitt Romney or Rick Santorum, Will thinks both would lose to Obama, so he thinks the GOP should go with Plan B.

"If so, there would come a point when, taking stock of reality, conservatives turn their energies to a goal much more attainable than, and not much less important than, electing Romney or Santorum president. It is the goal of retaining control of the House and winning control of the Senate."

"Several possible Supreme Court nominations and the staffing of the regulatory state are among the important reasons conservatives should try to elect whomever the GOP nominates. But conservatives this year should have as their primary goal making sure Republicans wield all the gavels in Congress in 2013."

Will is among the most respected mainstream media pundits who lean right. That respect is held by many Americans who have not come around to recognizing who slanted the big three news organizations are. In the absence of this knowledge, these folks continue to respect the major network evening news programs, and this includes editorial commentator George Will.

Will is far off the mark on this line of thinking, and Americans had better come to know it and recognize the narrative being presented.

Barack Obama cannot be re-elected. Better stated, our country as we have known it all our lives will cease to exist should Obama win re-election.

The goals Will sets forth are only a part of what needs to occur to prevent our our freedoms from becoming significantly constricted. The goal is much larger than Will visualizes, and it must be, for a myriad of reasons. Sadly, Will obviously has no clue of the many reasons why, with sovereignty at the top of the lengthy list.

The most important action that must take place is to control the next Supreme Court Justice nominees. Presently, we are one Supreme Court justice from game over. This cannot be understated. If Obama were to place perhaps the next two justices, the balance of the court would tilt to a radical left court which would serve the interests of unions, anti-capitalist, entitlement friendly anti government loyalists. Freedom would then be lost to darkness.

While gaining control of the Senate, and keeping control of the House, is critical, that would only minimally prohibit Obama from harmful action. An Obama victory against a GOP Congress will damage his ability to win legislation, but he will just continue to operate outside the Congress through executive order, as he has been doing for some time. In an ongoing example, the inability to get cap and trade going legislatively only resulted in increasing burdensome regulatory actions being handed out by the EPA.

Sadly, there are Progressives in both parties. Many in the GOP unfortunately do not grasp the grave economic position Uncle Sam is in, and think it is just a normal political year where they may gain control the purse strings for their pet projects. Instead, all the purse strings need to be violently yanked back.

For Will to provide the false narrative in the mainstream media that it would be acceptable for Obama to win the presidency if the GOP could control the Congress is slap in the face to Americans out of work, a brake applied to economic growth, energy independence, and entrepreneurship across the fruited plain.

If members of the mainstream media presented the truth to the American people about how dreadful the Obama tenure has been, a ham sandwich could defeat him. Most folks are working their fingers to the bone to keep afloat, and spend time with their families when they get home. They do not have time to search alternative media outlets seeking the truth the mainstream media does not provide them. Therefore, these false narratives create far more harm than imagined.

If they knew, they would shout from the roof tops in support of whoever Obama's opponent is, Foghorn Leghorn included. No one could care about which companies or academic institutions offer birth control when the very existence of the country hangs in the balance.

Will should well know that. I suspect he does, and given that, he is no longer to be considered an honest broker. Patrick J. Buchanan thinks Will should have his pundit's license suspended. I quite agree.

Will will be at play in November. The will of the American people, that is.

An Organized Collection Of Useful Idiots

A culmination of unfortunate events, some decades old, have led to many of those in their 20's being very torqued. Propelled and partially financed by radical extremists and embolden by the thuggery of the Obama Administration, many of the disgruntled young people have joined leftist groups coming together to protest everything American across the nation in what has become known as Occupy Wall Street.

Regrettably, what we actually have is leftist organizations, many backed by billionaire George Soros, supporting a group of young people who are sadly nothing more than useful idiots as many have no idea about what they are protesting, or basic economic theory for that matter.

Try to grasp you brain around the comments of these protesters in Occupy Oakland:

With the focus of the protests in Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan, the King of all Media, New York's Howard Stern, sent staff members down to get an assessment of what is happening. While FOX News host Geraldo Rivera was deeply moved, Stern and sidekick Robin Quivers were far from impressed.

FOX Business reporter and Wall Street veteran Charles Gasparino found nothing but Marxists.

It should be noted that the owners of Zuccotti Park, Brookfield Office Properties (BPO:NYSE), have ulterior motives for allowing the lawlessness taking place in the park as they have green energy interests that have received stimulus money from the Obama administration, as reported by the Business Insider.

Beyond the incredible lack of knowledge regarding common economic theory and business practices abound, another serious problem is very visible among the protesters. Not only rapidly growing globally, again fueled by Obama, anti-Israel sentiment is rampant. Get a load of this piece of garbage, whose parents must be beaming:

President Obama has stopped just short of vocalizing full support of these anti-American free loaders, but many of his friends and cohorts, Van Jones among them, are in full support. Chaos is an ally of this group, as they never let a crisis go to waste. In what is an excellent but unfortunate true dig at the always present straw man argument of President Obama, some aim to "re-create 68", complete with violence. God help us all!

If the young people, with sound education, massive debt, no jobs and a true fear for the future were not political lemmings, they would easily recognize that any protests belong not at Wall Street, but at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue due the horrendous economic policies engaged by the Obama administration.

Certainly, many big corporations have acted with malice leading up to and during this recession, as has government. Fannie Mae (FNMA:OTC), Freddie Mac (FMCC:OTC) and Bank of America (BAC:NYSE) come to mind. For me, I am working hard to distance myself from JP Morgan Chase (JPM:NYSE), Bank of America and General Electric (GE:NYSE). In addition, as a proud lifetime user of General Motors (GM:NYSE) vehicles, purchasing another new GM product is now on hold due their interaction with Obama.

While those who have broken the law on the corner of Wall and Broad must be punished, the young people protesting should embrace Wall Street and utilize it to build wealth for their future. Wall Street capital is the lifeblood for many growth companies, and investment opportunities are plentiful. Sure, you can get burned (have I told you the story of my investment in Level 3 Communications? (LVLT:NASDAQ), but you can also build quite a nest egg and you may even hit one like Google (GOOG:NASDAQ).

Of course, understanding basic economics is a must. Those protesting must recognize that for everything they get for free, someone somewhere paid for it. There is no free lunch. In a society with no incentives, innovations will be rare, which will lead ultimately to a dying society. Is America already committing suicide? Patrick J. Buchanan dives into the issue in his new book "Suicide of a Superpower".

Incentive and innovation produce many of the products these dopes are running around using, from cell phones to I-Pads. Many are seeking use of the restroom at a nearby McDonalds, one of the greatest growth stories of all time.

I encourage the protesters to join the party by buying in on Wall and Broad! Snare 100 shares of McDonalds (MCD:NYSE) and see what happens over the next decade or so. Become a shareholder, with skin in the game. Then, provided we adequately squelch the socialist uprising and re-establish once and for all the The Kudlow Creed that free market capitalism is the best path to prosperity, America will return to all her glory.
