After the big win versus Clemson last week, FSU traveled down to Tampa to face South Florida, a team with plenty of talent that plays very well on occasion. When the Bulls get a chance to play one of the big boys, that represents such an occasion. FSU was flat, played mediocre but controlled the game and got the win. The crowd was FSU favorable, and with USF having beaten us up in Tallahassee back in 2009, the Seminoles should have been motivated to blast USF. They were not, and did not. In fact, mistakes and miscues could have cost FSU the game if the game was against a higher quality opponent. FSU will take the win, look at the film and work to continue to improve. Depth at many positions should help the motivation. Very late in the game, Chris Thompson broke loose for what was likely a touchdown run but took a knee instead of scoring, which was inappropriate considering the opponent.
Nebraska welcomed a struggling Wisconsin to Lincoln, only to immediately fall behind 20-3. Fumbles, penalties, blown coverages and missed assignments were the culprit, but you would think Nebraska, at home, would not be the team unprepared to play, which is coaching. At any rate, Taylor Martinez had another very good night, and after the defense gathered themselves, they began to dominate Wisconsin and the Big Red was able to mount a comeback and win. Living on the edge like that will turn into a series of losses, so while the win is celebrated, extensive work on preparation and execution is needed. No rest for the weary, as the 'Huskers travel to Columbus to take on Ohio State, which presents a great opportunity, but not a likely place for big comebacks. Bo needs to have the Big Red ready when they step off the bus; Ohio State does not do anything special. In closing, please throw away the specialty Adidas uniforms and refrain from participating in these events going forward as I thought they were awful.
With FSU playing mediocre, other had a chance to jump the Seminoles, but LSU was sleepwalking and Oregon was lackluster as well. South Carolina had to come from behind to bear Kentucky, a very poor team and Georgia gave up 30 first half points, and 44 overall...Speaking of points, scoreboards were on fire across the country. The SEC tilt of Tennessee at Georgia looked like a Big XII game, Texas outlasted Okie State, Oregon State got by Arizona and West Virginia, with Geno Smith throwing more touchdowns (8) than incompletions (6) as the Mounties got by Nick Florence and Baylor 70-63.....Louisville edged host Southern Miss in a what was no doubt a complete frog strangler.....Alabama was not quite as dominant, the the Tide is rolling non the less.....In our preseason poll, we had Washington ahead of Stanford, but after Washington got destroyed at LSU and Stanford upended USC, we rearranged out poll. The Huskies took out Stanford on Thursday night.....Ohio State got by Michigan State at East Lansing.....Penn State throttled Illinois.....Louisiana tech beat Virginia at Virginia, and mighty Middle Tennessee State scored at will dumping Ga Tech 49-28 in Atlanta, which is nothing short of a real bad loss....Cincinnati used a last second long toss to upend Va, Tech, whose decade long streak of winning at least 10 games seems in real jeopardy.....In a game of unbeatens, Texas Tech won at Iowa State......Will Purdue of all people play in the Big Ten Championship game?....Clemson, hungover from losing at FSU, beat BC, gut gave up points revealing the Tiger defense is average at best... Arkansas is in free fall, getting blasted 58-10 by A&M.

Tentacles of Urgency
An infiltration of the US government has been underway for quite some time, and time is running out.
If you stop and think about it, there have been decisions made over recent years, by both parties regrettably, that have been most puzzling. In fact, just yesterday as President Obama spoke at The United Nations, more disturbing rhetoric was revealed.
If you are not in the know, perhaps you missed the troubling commentary.
Well, you are in luck as Glenn Beck and his team have put together a two part documentary titled "The Project" which begins tonight. See the following trailer:
Once you know the objectives set forth in The Project, you will have a thorough understanding of how deeply the infiltration has progressed.
Beck is now on DISH Network CH212, or you can get two weeks free, including the documentary presentation, by joining at The Blaze TV.
Muslim Brotherhood infiltration, a looming economic catastrophe, regulation and taxation and attacks on religion and free speech are a handful of the many tentacles of attack we face. Urgent measures by our citizens is required and all patriots are called upon to join us today!
The future of our country depends on us.

Chris Thompson in prayer after scoring |
Florida State tailback Chris Thompson gets the gameball as Florida State, after a slow start, demolished Clemson at Tallahassee Saturday. Clemson has a quartet of skill people, in quarterback Taj Boyd, back Andre Ellington and receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Sammy Watkins, that rival anyone in the country, and I do mean everyone. The Tigers threw everything and the kitchen sink at the Seminoles, inclusive of halfback passes, reverses and fake field goals. With FSU off balance, Clemson held the lead until early in the third quarter, when FSU unleashed 20 minutes of warpath, outscoring the Tigers 35-3 in an approximate 20 minute period. It was something to behold. Chris Thompson was spectacular, James Wilder Jr. ran strong and EJ Manuel stepped up his game big time, something all Seminoles had been hoping to see. FSU has a stellar defensive unit, and if the offense is what we saw Saturday night, the Seminoles should run the table provided they maintain a high level of maturity and focus, something recent teams have failed to accomplish.
Nebraska had a breather, welcoming in Idaho State, who left town with rug burns after getting blasted 73-7. Rex Burkhead was back for the Big Red, and the game provided an opportunity to get some younger defensive players work as the 'Huskers welcome in Wisconsin Saturday night for the ABC Game. The game will feature new uniforms for both teams, which I am not pleased about by any stretch of the imagination.
In a very odd early contest, after we blasted the 'Canes last week, they bolted out to a 19-0 lead at Georgia Tech, only to give up the next 36 before charging back to win in overtime. With all the issues at UM, this win may have got them into a bowl game......Ohio State and Michigan State both struggled with much inferior opponents, but somebody will need to step up as they play each other this week...LSU struggled at Auburn, and lost spots because of it,...while Oregon blasted upstart Arizona....South Carolina destroyed Missouri, who travels to UCF this weekend, who might just beat them...Arkansas is in real trouble, and although many expected issues in the aftermath of losing Coach Petrino, the season is about to be lost....Florida controlled Kentucky, a very bad team with a horrible quarterback, who could not hit the side of a barn Saturday, or any open receivers the Cats had either.....Michigan could not generate any offense at an improved Notre Dame, but they did assembly line plenty of turnovers and a four or five loss season is now a possibility for this preseason top ten team....TCU crushed Virginia, who was thought to be solid if not spectacular.....Oregon State shut down UCLA at the Rose Bowl in surprising fashion, and no doubt the Beavers are well coached....Terry Bowden and his Akron Zips took Tennessee late at Rocky Top, and Bowden ball is gaining momentum in Ohio ....Ohio, meanwhile, could run the table under former 'Husker boss Frank Solich, which would be yet another black eye for Pitt AD Steve Pederson.....Oklahoma falters again, losing to a very good K-State team at Norman, and while OU has issues, K-State does not and could be on the way to the BCS...Kirk Ferentz at Iowa has always been very highly thought of, and I have never been sure why. After the Hawkeyes stumbled badly and lost at home to Central Michigan, others are wondering the same thing....Big weekend for many, including Mich. State, Ohio State, Nebraska, Texas, Virginia Tech, West Virgina and Miami.

Bachmann Brotherhood Overdrive
Americans are working hard trying to stay afloat under dismal economic conditions, and because of this, have little time to work through the lies and omissions presented by the mainstream media.
When a topic deserving of deeper examination is covered, unfortunately, the progressive media offers a story angle suited to advancing their political positions, leaving consumers of their product tainted with their bias. The American public is on to the lies and the bias, which is no doubt contributing to the tanking of the network news outlets and rapid death march of newspapers.
Perhaps the most troubling topic the media has inaccurately reported on, through deception, distraction and omission is the role of the Muslim Brotherhood, not only globally, but here in America, alarmingly, inclusive of a heavy infiltration in our government.
The saga of the mega Mosque near Ground Zero in New York City was perhaps the first example of the embracing of radical Islam, cloaked under political correctness. Actions surrounding the Fort Hood shooting also raised questions, promptly not deemed terrorist activity by both the Obama administration and new media.
These examples and more led Rep. Michele Bachmann, R:MN, to take action a few months back, joining four other Congressional members in an effort to further investigate the level of influence the Muslim Brotherhood has within our government. As The Blaze reported, distinct letters to the Inspectors General of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and the Department of State were sent to ascertain the depth of involvement the US Government has with The Muslim Brotherhood.
Among the questions asked were how people with backgrounds in association with the group were vetted, and among those inquired about was Huma Abedin, a State Department advisor and deputy chief of staff and aide to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, D:NY. Abedin is also married to disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner, D:NY. As the chief aide to Mrs. Clinton, surely it is reasonable to verify Abedin has been thoroughly checked out, as both her parents have well documented associations with the Muslim Brotherhood.
In rapid response to the letter, Bachmann was heavily attacked from both sides of aisle, most notably by US Senator John McCain, R:AZ. In fact, it was reported due to this line of questioning, Bachmann may be forced out of her position on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. No doubt, Bachmann struck a nerve, and she refused to back down, striking back at her critics.
Andrew McCarthy, who prosecuted the Blind Sheikh, who was the mastermind of the Twin Towers bombing in 1993, wrote in National Review his complete support for Bachmann in this matter.
Although few Americans understand the seriousness of these inquiries, it is worth noting that the U.S. government has established in federal court that the Muslim Brotherhood’s mission in the United States is “destroying Western civilization from within”. In the aftermath of 9-11, documents were found that outline the plan for this to occur, which has been referred to as "The Project". Without much resistance from our government, a large number of the goals set forth are well on the way to being achieved, with the following three most notable:
Come to think of it, the events regarding the Ambassadors murder do not quite add up. While the mainstream media efforts to discredit Mitt Romney, Glenn Beck uncovers the real story:
Glenn Beck hosted a frank discussion regarding this topic, Rumors of War III, which is mandatory viewing. We noted the documentary and the grave trouble from within on the blog last April. Next week, on The Blaze TV, a documentary detailing "The Project" will air, and the content is extremely alarming.
Events surrounding the Muslim Brotherhood seem orchestrated. Everyone except Obama, and Bill Kristol, knew the Muslim Brotherhood would take over Egypt, and while the media cheered the perceived freedom, they did. Reports are now surfacing that the administration, in an effort to ease tensions with Egypt, now run by the Muslim Brotherhood, have negotiations are underway to release Omar Abdel-Rahman, or The Blind Sheikh. The fight is engaged.
The aforementioned Andy McCarthy thinks this will happen, after the election no matter who wins. Under ZERO circumstances should the Blind Sheikh be released. Should this occur, this would confirm what many already know; President Obama and Uncle Sam are on opposite sides.
Needless to say, this issue is of utmost importance and every American should get up to speed quickly on the topic, as the Muslim Brotherhood continues to advance The Project while many of the uninformed among us wonder how many traffic arrests it will take for Lindsay Lohan to see extensive jail time.

Hurricane Breeze
The once proud University of Miami football program, winners of five national championships since winning their first in an upset of Nebraska in 1983, is in shambles.
For starters, sanctions from a recent NCAA investigation involving improper benefits hangs over the program. When handed out, they will be harsh.
Success on the field, even with highly rated recruiting classes, is absent as evidenced by the Canes mediocre performances. On occasion, it has appeared the team has quit on the field, which is a very poor signal about the state of the program.
Miami is again off to a poor start, getting blasted at Kansas State two Saturday's ago. Former Hurricane and current talk show host Dan Sileo is not at all pleased, going on a classic rant on radio the other day:
Miami has always had fickle fans, with 35,000 showing up for Maryland and fans of every language imaginable showing up when Florida State comes to town. The hard core Cane fans are a very small number, and dwindling, and this is cause for concern.
the home opener last weekend, as Tomahawk Nation reported, an announced crowd of 39K was actually about 20K, being kind. It was noted many Hurricane players played in front of larger crowds during their high school days. That old home field advantage the 'Canes used to have at The Orange Bowl is gone.

Why would recruits want to playing on front of just about nobody at a place facing harsh sanctions with marginal facilities? You got me.
If I in charge at UM, I would immediately look to build a 50K seat on campus stadium, which would be user friendly for the students. But that is not on the drawing board, and from what I can see, the future is bleak.

In God We Trust
Throughout his presidency, President Obama has taken seemingly every opportunity to change the history, advancing a false narrative that America is not a Christian nation.
The instances of this type rhetoric by Obama are plentiful, from leaving "endowed by their creator" out of the preamble to the Declaration of Independence, speaking of collective salvation and attacking the institution of the Catholic church.
Obama, using his same old game of straw man arguments in application of the Overton Window, is traveling down a road that is false and most destructive to our nation. In his arrogance, apparently, Obama feels empowered to implement his beliefs on the stature of our nation, relegating those principles of the past to a time we have traveled past.
Mr. President, we will thwart you from directing us to travel that road, as our divinely inspired nation will rise up against all enemies, foreign or domestic, who seek to transform us away from our founding principles.
While the issue is most serious, and as we approach the election all issues surrounding Obama are, a video from Stoplight highlights a road Obama should travel.
Please see the following:
You won't find Stuart Chase on this road, but you will find overwhelming evidence regarding the foundation of our country.
It is a foundation of principles, which are centered around God, and In God We Trust.

Bo Lives! That is the report from Nebraska Dave from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Bo Pelini was seen by the television audience of ESPN2 sitting on the bench and having his pulse taken. He spoke with the sideline reporter on the way to the locker room before the half, with the Big Red winning 28-3, and said he was not feeling well. UNL staff took no chances, and Pelini spent the second half at Bryan Memorial Hospital. At the end of the day, just a scare for Pelini. Bo is a fiery guy, and had his foundation challenged last week after the 'Husker defense got torched for 650 yards a UCLA. Arkansas State is not a premier team, but they do have an outstanding quarterback and the former number one running back high school recruit, not to mention offensive wizard Gus Malzan as head coach. The Blackshirts responded quite well, and that has everyone in the Big Red nation, including Pelini, pleased. John Papuchis took over in Bo's absence and did a fine job, including motivationally as it looked as if he wanted to play. Signal caller Taylor Martinez, along with the entire offense, continues to play very well. Ameer Abdullah and Kenny Bell are emerging stars. The defense still has work to do, but they looked salty at moments on Saturday. The 'Huskers have an easy one next week before a struggling Wisconsin comes to Lincoln.
Florida State, perhaps motivated by revenge, destroyed Wake Forest in Tallahassee on Saturday. Although Wake barely beat Liberty in the opener, they did beat UNC last week, so they are a legitimate team. The Deacons were smothered, and the score could have been much worse. Chris Thompson, who broke his back a year ago at Wake, broke Wake's back with 80 and 74 yard TD Runs on consecutive carries. A big rushing day for FSU, with all backs looking good, which has been unusual in recent years. Defensively, the Seminoles seem to have few peers. Now, Clemson comes to town with wideout speedster Sammy Watkins. Gameday will be in Tally, and so will I. Don't hate!
Colorado is in freefall, just 20 years from a National Title. Coach Embree is an alum, but this is already way out of hand, evidenced by Fresno State having 35 in the first quarter. Alum Chris Fowler is astonished at how fall the Buffs have fallen......Arkansas is also in trouble, short handed without quarterback Tyler Wilson, getting absolutely handcuffed by Alabama in Fayetteville. The Hogs need a new coach immediately, and should look to Louisville and Charlie Strong..... Speaking of the Cards, they almost blew a 36-7 lead against North Carolina, who seemed completely uninspired for 40 minutes.....Miami played in front of an announced crowd of 36K in their home opener, but many on their team played in front of bigger high school crowds. The U has the worst fan base in America....Michigan State could not run, and therefore, they lost as the Irish stopped the run....Speaking of Notre Dame, they joined the ACC in all sports but football, announcing they will play five ACC football games, get a bowl tie in and not split the bowl money. Unless this is a precursor to Notre Dame becoming a full member after the NBC television contract expires, this is not beneficial to the conference. I hope the brass at Florida State have a handle on this....Is James Franklin of UCLA now the Heisman front runner? I think so.....Southern Cal has wonderful skill people, but they got whipped in the trenches at Stanford. The Cardinal who looked terrible on opening night, pounded away at USC on the Farm, showcasing their strong defensive front seven and a great running game. Maybe Stanford sandbagged in that opening win over San Jose State.....Virginia Tech got bombed by Pittsburgh, who got off to a horrendous start losing to Youngstown St and Cincinnati, and it is becoming commonplace for VT to lose and early contest to a double digit underdog....Ole Miss is not ready for prime time, and Texas hung 66 on them....Ohio State struggled with an over matched Cal team.....Florida has settled on a quarterback, and thumped an improved Tennessee team up in Knoxville. The Vols got skill people and quarterback Tyler Bray is a strong passer, but need another year for the defense to get better....No such issues at Florida, whose defense is very strong.....Auburn survived a scare versus upstart ULM, fresh off their win at Arkansas.....Kentucky was not as fortunate, losing to Western Kentucky as Coach Willie Taggart, realizing the Hilltopper defense was gassed, went for two on a trick play and got the W. The Wildcats are not very good, and Coach Phillips may be in trouble....When Ga Tech gets rolling, they get rolling, blasting Virginia Saturday...Northwestern is off to a good start, and may be a sleeper....Arizona State lost a tight one at Mizzou, and may be a bit better than I thought.....The PAC 12 is really looking good so far, while, as usual, the Big Ten and ACC are not.

Talk Is Cheap
When I hear President Obama speak these days, I think of Baghdad Bob.
I don't think I can recall someone running off at the mouth spewing fictionary tales quite like Obama. I guess he must, because outside of the Obamabots and the news media, no one else is.
Given the train wreck of his term, what serious person could?
Well, Obama can't either. In fact, his current campaign speeches, outside of a borrowed quote from Jimmy Carter here and there, are the same one he made in 2008, minus the soaring rhetoric and crowds.
Review the evidence below:
The initiatives put forth by Obama have failed miserably to produce results. Moving forward, Obama has revealed no plan to put forth, and if Obama were to speak candidly about the objectives of a second term, he would lose 48 states.
Given the internal polls, he might anyway.
I hope Americans will do their homework and look beyond the network news, which has essentially lost all credibility. A real look into Obama will show empty chair, reading a teleprompter in fine fashion while our economy, standard of living and foreign policy spiral into the abyss.
Talk is cheap. The term has been an epic failure; a one term proposition to be sure.

Obama Transcript of Failure or Compliance
Short on time with September 11 approaching, time for a worthy piece of reflection on our National Day of Mourning did not exist. Instead, with the addition of a few sentences, I reposted my post from a year ago.
To be clear, the significance of that day still burns hot in my mind, as does my trip in early December 2001 to ground zero. For me, and I am sure you, it is personal.
On the blog Facebook page, time was found to forward and comment on an a Reuters piece detailing how President Obama did not have time to grant a requested meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu due to a lack of scheduling opportunities. Obama does have a tight schedule, campaigning hard in states the media proclaims he is safe in, with an appearance on David Letterman and a pow wow with rap star Pimp the Limp, whoever that may be.
On September 11 of all days, we thought the President should note that freedom will be defended in all ways legally permissible, from all enemies foreign, and domestic.
Meanwhile, it has been tough sledding for Netanyahu in dealing with Obama, who clearly has a strong disdain for both him personally and Israel itself. A recent trip did not go well by all accounts, and with Israel in great peril due to the pursuit of nuclear weapons by Iran, Obama's concern for Israel is limited, although he has expressed some strategic influence as you may suspect.
The middle east is a powder keg, with those who wish us harm emboldened by Obama, who they see as weak and somewhat accommodating to their plight. Although Obama loves playing war games directing drone attacks, and several who had it coming to them got it, Obama is warm to the Muslim Brotherhood and desires America to be taken down a few notches, inclusive of wealth redistribution, as so thoroughly covered by Dinesh D'Souza in the movie 2016: Obama's America.
On the anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks ever perpetrated on America, no accident to be sure, in what the administration felt were protests due to an anti-Islamic movie someone posted on YouTube, coordinated attacks on our embassy in Cairo, Egypt and our consulate in Benghazi, Libya took the life our ambassador and three others. For those on the golf course, this is an act of war.
These attacks were preceded by an official statement from our government offering an apology for individuals who are not up to speed on the warm fuzzy feelings the administration has for Muslim extremists. Apologies and appeasement are not only going to fail to achieve anything, they will make things much worse.
The Muslim Brotherhood is now fully in charge in Egypt, and the Muslim Brotherhood is anti-Israel and no friend of the United States. While Obama found it intoxicating to assist in taking our a pair of dictators in these countries, no apparent thought to the vacuum left behind was engaged. It was not difficult to forecast the events that have transpired, and our leading from behind President has no answers to escalating violence in the region.
It is very hard to imagine anyone making Jimmy Carter look like Dwight Eisenhower, but Obama is giving it the college try, and we have a copy of these transcripts. These events have that 1979 feel to it, and come to think of it, so do the issues with petroleum.
Then again, since D'Souza is correct, these events of a weakening US and the rise of Islamic nations may likely be the objective of Obama. Certainly, the policies of weakness and appeasement and partnership with Islamic radicals are void of common sense, enhances their efforts and exponentially increases our risk, not to mention the place Israel find it self in.
For those of us against Islamic terrorists, we must get a change in leadership at first opportunity. This change is imperative in our effort to protect and defend our freedoms and preserve the United States as a superpower in the world.
As Sarah Palin said, "Since President Obama likes to “speak softly” to our enemies. If he doesn’t have a “big stick” to carry, maybe it’s time for him to grow one". Obama will not, so we the American people, will have to act.
Our first, and seemingly only, opportunity, is on November 6. Freedom is at stake.

Not Forgotten
Islamic terrorists remain committed to killing us. Unfortunately, they have made significant inroads across the globe this past year, with the Muslim Brotherhood leading the way.
Have you forgotten?
Top of the world
Evil spit in our face on the morning of September 11, 2001. As America sought comfort on this horrendous day, most found God watching over us. We had faith, which helped us through the incredible grief. With evil lurking all around us, we found love, courage and faith standing tall in the fire.
Although this is a day of remembrance, we must never forget!
I have not forgotten. Never Forget! Political correctness be damned, we must remain committed to taking out evil wherever it exists, foreign or domestic.

Pushing A String
Unfortunately, we have an extremely serious economic problem that is a massive ball and chain on the ankle of American commerce. In addition, President Obama not only knows this and is not informing you, but he is complicit in orchestrating it.
The markets are currently rigged, with the politicians in charge, most notably President Obama and Massachusetts Senatorial candidate Elizabeth Warren and advocate for the creation of Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, running at the mouth about how we need further market regulation.
Of course, under Obama's crony capitalism, we are not enforcing current laws when it comes to the financial markets and are allowing thieves to abscond with billions. See former New Jersey Governor, and Democratic bundler for Obama, Jon Corzine, of MF Global.
Although they say they are not, the FED is monetizing the debt, punishing savers. Banks are flush in cash, and are not lending. They sense something bad coming, and do not want risk extended in the upcoming environment.
Doug Dachille of First Principles Capital Management joins Joe Kernan on CNBC's Squawk Box to discuss QE3, the mortgage market and price distortion. Take a listen:
The FED should raise rates immediately and effort to strengthen the dollar, and quit pushing a string of failing central planning programs. As Reagan said, government is not the solution to the problem; government is the problem.
With a Romney victory, the FED will promptly effort to pull back the extension of capital within the market, puncturing the propped up market averages. At this point, real value will be learned, improper market manipulation by The FED should cease with Bernake being fired and risk can be measured adequately.
We might have DOW 8000, but it will be real and we will have a solid basis to operate from. This will be much better than the crony capitalism and market manipulation we are currently dealing with.

I wonder what they would have done if, as previously scheduled, West Virginia were playing in Tallahassee last night? Due to lightning strikes in nearby Sopchoppy, the FSU game with overmatched Savannah State was delayed twice and then finally canceled with almost nine minutes left in the third quarter. It was 55-0. I know weather was an issue yesterday throughout most of the east. Hell, Clint Bowyer took the checkers at Richmond International Raceway at 1:35AM due to rain delays. But, we are way out of control with the delays for inclement weather 22 zip codes away from the stadium. Actually, few things are as fun as playing sandlot football in the rain. The way this is going, we won't keep score in a few years. Anyhow, FSU dominated and now comes some legitimate competition; Wake Forest Saturday at Noon at DOAK.
Somewhere, Bill Callahan must be laughing. Out at the Rose Bowl last evening, Nebraska, now coached by defensive guru Bo Pelini, was shredded for the 653 yards, the second most given up by the Cornhuskers in history, in route to losing to UCLA 36-30. It looked every bit as bad as the statistics. There was no pass rush and the defensive line, which lined up a yard off the ball all night for some odd reason, got no penetration. The amount of missed tackles, primarily due to arm tackling, was stunning. UCLA outcoached Nebraska, by far, and among the areas were fleet footed backs running pass patterns out of the backfield against inside linebackers, a speed mismatch never adjusted for by Pelini and DC Papuchis. Certainly, tackling machine Lavonte David is sorely missed, but where is a DeJon Gomes or Eric Hagg type of rover player? While Taylor Martinez had many moments, and Ameer Abdullah did a fine job outside of a costly fumble deep in Husker territory, the offensive line continued its less than stellar play. In fact, in the second half with the score tied at 27 with the Huskers having the ball on their own five, the Bruins best defensive player bolted untouched to blast a pivoting Martinez for a safety. Considering the time of the game and location of the ball, the mental breakdown on this play was inexcusable, a catastrophic. Finally, the offense is working, but the defensive performance last evening should be a five alarm fire for Pelini. This is his wheel house, and he will be expected to get this corrected immediately. I must admit, I am not sure he can.
Rich Rod and his Arizona Wildcats, fresh off an overtime win over Toledo, destroyed Oklahoma State throwing up 59 points, which may be a signal the Cats could well be dangerous earlier than most thought.....Wisconsin has significant woes, even with the nations best running back....UL Monroe pulled off an overtime stunner, beating Arkansas, who played flat and lost stellar signal caller Tyler Wilson to a concussion. If he can't go with Alabama next weekend, it could be painful to watch....Florida got punished early but came back and took out A&M in College Station. A&M has a wonderful young quarterback in Johnny Maizell, and the Aggies have a bright future...Georgia started slow but took out Missouri in Columbia....Stanford pounded Duke, and Arizona State did the same to Illinois.....K-State punished Miami, and it is will be along season for the U....Ohio State controlled UCF....Michigan survived the Air Force.....Mississippi State scored a big win over Auburn, now 0-2....LSU smothered Keith Price and Washington, a blight on a real good weekend for the PAC 12, not withstanding Colorado, just two decades from a National Championship, who lost at Boulder to Sacramento State, which could and should get your coach fired.

Idiots At Large
President Obama tells us that there is a clear choice in our upcoming election.
Boy howdy, he is not kidding.
Since the mainstream media will not do their job, concerned citizens embark on the task themselves. Enter Peter Schiff, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Euro Pacific Capital, who got to know some of the delegates and guest at the Democratic National Convention.
Grab a chair, and get a load of this:
If these folks were in charge, we would hit the wall economically in short order. They are, and we have.
The level of stupidity by these folks on how commerce and free markets operate is simply stunning.
For example, corporations are indeed people.
In fact, just earlier this morning, I collected a portion of a rental obligation owed me for the month of September. Legally, since all the rent could not be paid, I could file for eviction on Monday morning, which is what a corporation, one without owners with compassion, would do.
However, I am the corporation, and I will give the tenant a few extra days to come up with the remainder of the obligation owed, assuming some risk for doing so.
Some the folks interviewed want there to be no profits. This, of course, would destroy any incentive to produce privately. Governments could force production of products, but that is communism where independent initiative and dreams are nullified.
We cannot allow these imbeciles to outnumber us at the voting booth in November.

Certainly, LSU played very well and does not deserve to be dropped in the poll; however, it is simply inevitable considering the way Alabama dominated a good Michigan team. Although I thought the Tide would beat Michigan, in the preseason poll, I ranked Bama fourth thinking it would take some time for them to get their footing on defense. Ouch.
We get quite a bit right here on blog, evidenced by predicting Miami would lose to Maryland and then upset Ohio State last year, or the following statement from 2008:
"Everyone is talking about Ohio State true freshman quarterback Terrell Pryor, but Robert Griffin III is putting on a real show at Baylor, one you should take notice of." October 27, 2008
Nebraska was not given much of a chance to figure in the Big Ten championship, primarily due to the nation thinking Taylor Martinez was a poor player, unable to throw accurately. In our Nebraska preview, we stated the following:
"Taylor Martinez, who is often criticized and did not show improvement in his
sophomore season, has all the tools to lead an experienced offense, balanced by
Nebraska standards, to a level not seen at Nebraska in some years. Many feel
Martinez is a liability, but I see him making big strides in 2012, improving
each aspect of his game."
Martinez was 26 of 34 for 354 yards and five touchdowns, through the air, as the 'Huskers spanked Southern Miss, a team that won 12 games a year ago. We know Martinez can run, and we will find out much more about his improvement, and the entire offense, when the Big Red takes on UCLA at the Rose Bowl. There were some breakdowns, including giving up a 102 yard kickoff return, but it was good opening game for the 'Huskers.
Florida State got off to a great start, bombing outclassed Murray State. I was in attendance, and the Seminoles looked sharp, particularly on defense. With that said, on somewhat of a freak injury, DE Brandon Jenkins, a preseason All American, injured his foot and is lost for the year. Jenkins, who has a bright NFL future, came back to be part of something special, and this is a painful loss the Seminoles. He has the opportunity to redshirt, so we will see. Jenkins is a good young man, and we wish him a speedy and full recovery. With West Virginia buying a game in Tallahassee out, that big game for this weekend now has Savannah State, who gave up 84 to Oklahoma State last week, entering DOAK. Hide the women and children.
Clemson, behind Andre Ellington, got by Auburn for a big win for not only the Tigers, but the ACC.....N.C. State was not as fortunate, as they got blasted by a very much improved Tennessee team.... Georgia, Oklahoma and Wisconsin each looked terrible, and there could be trouble upcoming....South Carolina escaped at Vanderbilt, and looked surprisingly bad on offense, although Marcus Lattimore looked good returning from his knee injury....Baylor came out of the gate strong after losing RGIII, behind Nick Florence.....Ohio State looked good in Urban renewal, while Florida stunk up the Swamp in the aftermath of Urban decay.....Michigan State utilized the ground game to dump Boise State in a close game....Notre Dame was strong in defeating Navy...Southern Cal and LSU looked good as well, and so did Oregon, at least on offense.....Houston got bombed 30-13 by Texas State, and although we noted the Cougars were descending in our preview, we had no idea this could happen....Penn State wanted a feel good day, but a very solid Ohio Bobcat team, coached by former Nebraska boss Frank Solich, spoiled the day, and the Nittany Lions are in for a long year, or decade....Speaking of Nebraska, former 'Husker AD Steve Pederson, who was appropriately fired after the Bill Callahan experiment, landed at Pitt and it has been nothing short of a disaster ever since. Forget that the basketball team is descending, but the beyond the coaching carousel, the promise of a new season has resulted in a humiliating home loss to Youngstown State on Saturday, by 14 points, had to have the Panther faithful scratching their heads. Been there, done that.

Worth A Thousand Words
Jon McNaughton utilizes his tremendous ability of story telling on the canvas to illustrate the layers of destruction and transformation our country is suffering at the hands of President Barack Obama.
Through a series of paintings, personal to McNaughton and to us all, volumes are spoken with pictorial brilliance of the crisis at hand, under the direction of an arrogant would be dictator who seeks to preside of over the decline of America.
Please see the following video:
McNaughton does something special with his latest effort; offering an opportunity for viewers an interactive opportunity to view the basis for his mindset linking evidence on his website of over 60 symbols portrayed within the painting.
Please see the following video:
I have friends who support Obama who I know to be decent people; therefore it is obvious they are blinded by the old donkey versus elephant argument's and fail to grasp that Obama is not your fathers Democrat.
Instead, as well chronicled in the new movie 2016: Obama's America, Obama seeks to transform the wealth of America to the rest of the globe in the name of fairness, placing free markets in control of governmental technocrats who abuse power.
Perhaps the fine, pun intended, art of McNaughton will open some eyeballs. After all; a picture is worth a thousand words.
