The Road To Serfdom is among the top must reads for anyone.
As Dr. Thomas Sowell accurately notes in a review of F. A. Hayek's masterpiece, "The rule of law, on which freedom itself ultimately depends, is inherently incompatible with socialism. People who are free to do as they wish will not do as the economic planners wish. Differences in values and priories are enough to ensure that. These differences must be ironed out by propaganda or power, if socialism is to be socialism. Indoctrination must be part of the program, not because socialist want to be brainwashers, but because socialism requires brainwashing."
Without the rule of law, you no longer have a nation of virtue wtih freedom and liberty for all.
Unfortunately, the assessment Dr. Sowell arrived upon in review of Hayek's brilliance, is actually happening.
Rather than "cheering for your team" no matter the policy put forth, it seems our citizenry should acquaint themselves with the ability to engage in critical thinking. Presently, powerful ruling class elite and progressive politicians, with the cooperation of their partners in the mainstream media, are pushing their agenda, littered with propaganda and fake news, on the citizenry.
It is, as progressive Stuart Chase wrote in 1942, "The Road We Are Traveling."
The "real" stories, which discredit the propaganda pushed by the central planners, is labeled Fake News.
Fake News is a new weapon designed by the central planners to confuse the citizenry, who has made recent strides on deciphering truth from deception.
But until America firmly wakes up and wins this battle, and make no mistake it is just that, that road is "The Road To Serfdom."
Time to Exit!

All Rights, Most Notably Property Rights, Are Under Assault
First, under the "Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing” rule, which was issued by the Department of Housing and Urban Development last year, we noted an extensive web of restrictions of property rights.
Now comes word of a National Zoning Board, no doubt part of a wide spread attack on white flight.
"This new regulation is designed to give unelected, anonymous bureaucrats in Washington the power to pick and choose who your new next-door neighbor will be. If they don’t believe your neighborhood is “diverse” enough, they will seize control of local zoning decisions—choosing what should be built, where, and who should pay for it—in order to make your neighborhood look more like they want it to" wrote Sen. Mike Lee (R:UT) in a column printed in The Daily Signal.
Rush Limbaugh recently discussed an FHA action requiring landlords to not restrict felons from renting units as it "may make them feel discriminated against."
“The Fair Housing Act prohibits both intentional housing discrimination and housing practices that have an unjustified discriminatory effect because of race, national origin, or other protected characteristics,” read the newly released guideline from HUD Secretary Julian Castro.
Limbaugh further noted “What do you think the penalty’s gonna be to the landlords that fail to follow Obama’s dictates and rent rooms to criminals?” Limbaugh asked. “You don’t think they’re gonna be able to come in and make the play for your land, for your property, absconding it, claiming that you are misusing it or what have you?”
Under the Obama administration, seemingly all the rights of the people are under some form of duress. Religious liberty is front and center. The current nonsensical dust up over Transgender bathrooms, which centers around an individual being able to declare their status, chips away at the decision already made by God. Free speech, gun rights and regulatory encroachment in communications, labor, finance, surveillance, and environmental arenas are examples of government infiltration in the liberty and freedom of the citizenry.
However, we deem the attack on property rights most alarming. There are far reaching tentacles from actions undertaken, and all are attempting to reach the same goal; for the government to take control of private property away from the citizenry.
“You know what this is really all about?” Limbaugh asked his audience. “You have a landlord that refuses to rent to a criminal, Obama says, ‘No, no, no, you have to because our racial justice system’s been so unbalanced, you’re guilty of racism when you refuse to rent,’ you know what that’s really all about is seizing your property,” he explained.
As famed progressive Stuart Chase noted in his work The Road We Are Traveling; "We don't want to own your property, just control what you can do with it."
Private property ownership, and the rights associated therein, are under direct assault from the tyrannical Obama administration as part of their efforts of transforming America and engaging in the transfer of wealth.
Property rights are without question central to the freedoms of our nation, and must be protected at all legally permissible costs. All our Constitutional Rights must be protected at all legally permissible costs.
As they continue to erode, we must ask at what point will you have had enough?

An Appeasing Hamburglar?
Born in the nostalgic fifties and booming into among America's most successful companies in part due to placement at exits along the newly installed Interstate system, McDonald's gave America consistently prepared hamburgers, french fries and milkshakes at affordable prices.
With gifts for children in specialized packages, it was a quick win win for the households of America. In addition, founder Ray Kroc always utilized the success of McDonald's in various charitable forms, most notably the Ronald McDonald House's which offers a home away from home for families with serious ill children in various cities, including right here in Central Florida.
But times are tough for the company. Although the stock price has risen sharply over the decades, McDonald's (MCD:NYSE) has been churning sideways for about three years. The company has been getting pummeled in the mainstream media, for producing food deemed unhealthy by the food police. The attacks have been relentless, and sales have been affected. In fact, McDonald's has announced it will discontinue releasing monthly comparable sales beginning this June, as it's global comparable sales have declined for 12 consecutive months.
Protesters routinely find the nearest McDonald's to march upon seeking higher wages, fueled on by Obama, the unions and the media. The marching morons think flipping burgers is a job you can raise a family on, but the political leaders know better and are just using McDonald's as a punching bag to advance their progressive agenda.
Steve Easterbrook will take over as CEO after the "announced early retirement" of former CEO Don Thompson, who did not perform well for a variety of reasons.
The ad campaigns of recent years have been not been near historic standards, and the company has been trying to appease the members of the food police by altering the menu in hopes of oiling the squeaky wheel.
Appeasement always works so well, but with Michelle Obama having stated that Obama will make America change it's history and traditions, McDonald's may feel compelled to make moves to protect their history and traditions.
Enter Robert Gibbs, the smart aleck former Obama press secretary, who was the face of the administration and perhaps among the most hated people in America. Gibbs, who has been hired as Executive Vice President, Global Chief Communications Officer, otherwise known to the causal observer as go make the Obama administration leave us alone.
But maybe not, as Easterbrook was quoted as saying “Robert (Gibbs) and Silvia are both highly-respected, talented leaders who will bring a wealth of experience and outside perspective to McDonald’s as we build a more modern, progressive burger company.”
Rut row.
News flash to Mr. Easterbrook. Folks have differing definitions of progressive, although you may be oblivious to it all, the hiring of Mr. Gibbs signals McDonald's, like Levi Strauss before it, is ready to jump on board the progressive train carrying the likes of Stuart Chase and Barack Obama.
Many Americans are not coming aboard with you, and that will be a tragedy. McDonald's has been representative of what America is all about, a integral cog in the history and traditions of America our anti-American president is feverishly working to change.
Although not currently a shareholder, I have held shares in the company most of my adult life having been enrolled in their dividend reinvestment program. All they need to do is polish the product, make sure the stores are clean, get rid of the non-serious employees and pay a salary slightly above what the market dictates for those who recognize the opportunity at hand and by all means continue to make those great burgers, fries and shakes we all have enjoyed all our lives.
For those who deem you products unhealthy, they are not to be appeased, but rather told to fixate their taste buds elsewhere. That would certainly include Obama and his know it all wife Michelle, and their wise ass mouthpiece Mr. Gibbs.

The Way To Kill A Killer
For now, it looks like the heat surrounding a very tense standoff in southern Nevada over farm land grazing rights has cooled down.
The standoff, between rancher Cliven Bundy and The Bureau of Land Management, quickly escalated to the point where violence was knocking on the front door. There were a host full of players, many of whom did not have a legitimate dog in the hunt, and most were looking for trouble.
Thankfully, a violent eruption of lost tempers did not rule the day, or we potentially could have had another Waco or Ruby Ridge situation on our hands.
Legally, the case is somewhat complex, involving conflicts between state and federal laws. It would have been a good case for Jarrod Barkley, Esquire, of Stockton, CA were he still in practice.
Certainly, I do not have the scorecard filled out on this battle, but I have drawn some conclusions, and they are as follows:
*I have heard interviews with Cliven Bundy and he seems like a good natured fellow. He does sort of give off the vibe of a "sovereign citizen", but I think he just wants to ranch his land and has had it up to his eyeballs with the federal government increasing regulations and encroaching their influence of his business dealings. Join the club.
*Some people claiming to be Bundy supporters agree with his position, but are looking to create a disturbance, hoping for violence to erupt so they can gage battle with the government. The retired Sheriff, a complete moron, who wanted to put women and children at the front of the line should shooting occur, comes to mind.
*Bundy appears to be in arrears regarding grazing fees. I pay my taxes and regualtory fees, and I would expect him to do the same.
The people hoping for violence should recall that the government is hoping for civil unrest, as it offers opportunities to increase power. The correct way to win these issues is to follow the path of Dr. Martin Luther King, an exemplary example of leadership in grievances against an oppressive government.
*Sen. Harry Reid, D:NV, a despicable individual, has labeled all those who side with Bundy as "domestic terrorists". Well, that may include me. Sen. Reid says it is not over, and people just can't go around breaking the law going unpunished. Unless maybe you work for the IRS.
*It is worth noting the government, in contesting the Bundy family at the ranch, may as well of retained the US Army, given the man power, weaponry and vehicles that ascended upon the ranch. We cannot secure our southern border but we can unleash untold armory to get the Bundy family.
*Evidence has turned up that the BLM has killed some of the cows owned by Bundy. I did not hear of an anthrax breakout, so the killing of his cattle is nothing more than an act of intimidation. This is not the behavior I would be in support of my elected governmental officials being engaged in.
*It also seems the government attempted to reduce the amount of acreage Bundy could utilize, which due to the large amount needed for cattle grazing, would have essentially put Bundy out of business as he was currently engaged.
Certainly we know, particularly under President Obama, is strongly overreaching when it comes to property rights. The EPA is out of control, but their actions appear to be the tip of the iceberg.
We have previously written about Agenda 21, an evil platform of ideas which attack the sovereignty of the United States and viciously encroach upon the property rights of our citizens. An outreach of wealth transformation, the tentacles of Agenda 21 reach Orwellian levels.
But are these ideas new. Stuart Chase, in his 1942 book "The Road We Are Traveling", noted the transfer from the free enterprise system to a system deemed "X". Nineteen characteristics were noted, but number 17 described control of industry without ownership.
This includes property, where, although they do not own your property, through items like permitting, energy control "smart meters" and water usage they control what you can do with it. For example, for the new buyer of your home to get financing through the government controlled banks, your home must be energy efficient, with items like roof covering, HVAC and windows meeting newly established guidelines. Seems like encroachment of property rights to me.
With the progressives, we know that the issue, in this case Bundy and his ranch, is never the issue. What is the issue? Is it the government is aiming to seize private property of citizens under Agenda 21 protocol? Or, God forbid, are we so broke we are positioning ourselves for negotiation with China as we recently saw Ecuador involved in?
We must put government back in its place, but engaging in violence with them on a ranch in southern Nevada is not the time or place. Sen. Rand Paul has legislation he claims would go a long way in solving this dispute; however, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will not allow it to be heard or brought up for vote.
Does Sen. Reid want the problem solved in a way the people approve of, or is he hoping for violence to erupt so he can seize more control of the people? Was his heightened rhetoric calling those who disagree with him "domestic terrorists" an effort to put gas on the fire?
The answer to this problem has one word: freedom. While this country has laws which must be followed and legal taxation we must pay for our society to adequately function, government over reaching their authority and intimidating the citizenry. Those seeking to limit freedom, and at the end of the day that seems to be what is going on at the Bundy ranch, should be defeated.
Non violent avenues, such as the legislation put forth by Sen. Paul and others, is the way to achieve these goals. Sprinting to the voting booth at your earliest opportunity helps as well. That is how we kill the political careers of those who seek to kill freedom for the citizenry.

Excitement Lost
As President Obama embarked on his new administration, many of us knew the avenues of approach on the road we were going to travel to fundamentally transform America from her exceptionalism and lofty position of prosperity in the world.
While this seems intolerable, and it is, in the aftermath of a financial shock, a seemingly orchestrated crisis, much of the citizenry seemed willing to almost blindly place allegiance behind a young GQ black Senator with little meaningful experience who vocalized an altered political arena and workable landscape for those noting reductions in their standard of living.
The financial crisis had placed much of America in a stranglehold, and hope for change was placed in the hands of our new president, although few would seek an opportunity to read the "fine print" regarding his plans for a new America, one based on fairness, embracing social justice and focusing on equal outcomes rather than equal opportunity.
One avenue of approach in the direct aftermath of the financial crisis was the government rescue of the large US automakers. You see, given their financial constraints, they were unable to survive without government assistance. Except, while Chrysler and General Motors accepted governmental cash, Ford did not.
Those who could not stand on their own should have gone through the bankruptcy process, rather than having been bailed out. The Wall Street Journal did not foresee the bailout as a worthy investment.
Ford has turned itself around quite nicely the old fashioned way, and for those who jumped in a $1 per share (F:NYSE), the current share price of approximately $17, it feels damn good to be an American. With a distinct and measurable advantage of having borrowed from the government, both Chrysler, which since was sold, and GM have made significant gains.
The borrowing for GM can with a hidden cost; however, that most consumers were unaware of.
First, as an avenue to support the government sought after transition away from fossil fuels, Obama motors emerged building vehicles with energy sources whose supply failed miserably to match public demand. Yes, due to global warming, nothing short of a vehicle for the transformation of wealth and the greatest hoax of all time, economic principles will be violated to advance a political agenda. And due to GM accepting the cash, they were unable to deny the request, or mandate.
A second major decision, as it turns out, was also forced upon General Motors, and on a personal level, it is difficult for me to contain my rage on this one; the shutdown of the famed Pontiac Motor Division. GM did not want to go along with this, just having produced the Pontiac G8 Grand Prix sedan, which was a strong contender for Motor Trend Car of the Year in 2009. But racy sport model sedans did not fit the agenda over at 1600 and the government forced GM to jettison the iconic brand. With no leverage against the government, who held the purse strings, the demise of Pontiac sadly became reality.
So bent on advancing the alternate energy vehicles and working toward elimination of high powered V8 muscle cars, even Vice President Joe Biden, the owner of a classic Pontiac Trans Am, failed to take steps to thwart the shutdown. Shame on him.
Third, in a seemingly illegal action, those holding GM bonds were shut out in the reorganization, with the billions of taxpayer dollars going to the unions and political cronies along for the ride.
Fourth, the dealerships forced to close in the consolidation were overwhelmingly, over 80%, owned by GOP donors and or those owner-operators with vocal opposition to the agenda of the new administration.
While much of the automaker tale is classified by most as water under the bridge, it is worth noting that the administration agenda, one closely matching those outlined by Stuart Chase in his 1940's book "The Road We Are Traveling", is to achieve governmental control over significant engines of commerce, including transportation, health care, finance and communication among others.
Alas, there is good news reported by Pravda, oh excuse me, the mainstream media. GM, utilizing all that borrowed tax payer dollars, is "early chapters" of a comeback! However, don't get too excited about a return of all the lost taxpayer money. It ain't gonna happen.
Time is said to heal all wounds.
Recently, Ken Blackwell, Senior Fellow of the Family Research Council and someone I respect and view favorably, asked Conservatives to rethink our animosity of GM. It appears Blackwell subscribes to the axiom of George W. Bush of abandoning the free market system in order to save the free market system. I do not.
As many of you may have previously read, my family has always driven Pontiac cars and Chevrolet SUV's and have always held the product in high regard. That remains the case as this blogpost is written.
However, my Chevy Trailblazer is nearing 200K miles, and although in good shape, if global economic collapse can be averted next year, it likely will be time to make a move.
Due to GM associating with the regime, the closing of the Pontiac Motor Division, seemingly illegal targeting of political opponents, the rewarding of union cronies with taxpayer funds and my unwillingness to support socialism and the regime, a penalty will be levied and my next move will be the purchase of a 2014 Ford Explorer.
The regime should know cash is king. Pontiac built excitement, but thanks to the regime, that excitement is lost.

No Quarter
Opportunities to save America from Obamacare, a governmental takeover of our health care system sprinting along the road we will have traveled arriving at the socialist utopia progressives have forever dreamed of, are few.
Certainly, those of us freedom fighters can appreciate the efforts of those will have stood in the face or tyranny, inclusive in particular of Mike Lee, R:UT, Rand Paul, R:KY, Marco Rubio, R:FL, Loise Gohmert, R:TX, Michele Bachmann, R:MN, and Ted Cruz, R:TX. They are fighting for us!
It is important for the noise to be extracted from the truth, which is difficult for the average citizen to fight through amid all the lies and distractions.
For example, former president Bill Clinton was on ABC News This Week this morning telling untold lies. Clinton said the following: "I've never seen a time-- can you remember a time in your lifetime when a major political party was just sitting around, begging for America to fail?"
As a matter of fact, yes I can, recalling the Democrats cheering problems in Iraq the Bush administration was having pre-surge, calling for us to retreat while snatching defeat from the arms of victory. Then, there were the rules of engagement qualifications.
Actually, by advocating for a governmental takeover of health care, one would be seeking to limit freedom of choice and liberty of the citizenry, which I deem being complicit in seeking and assisting in the failure of America.
Clinton further offered that "If I were the president, I wouldn't negotiate over these draconian cuts that are gonna take food off the table of low-income working people, while they leave all the agricultural subsidies in for high-income farmers and everything else," he said. "It's chilling to me. The entitlement spending is going down as the unemployment rate drops and the economy grows. Half of the deficit's already disappeared. The rest of it just seems almost spiteful."
The country is bankrupt, and food is not being taken off the table for low-income working people, which is actually part of the reason why the country is bankrupt; unnecessary and growing entitlements. What is significantly harming the low-income working people is the lack of being able to work, as economic policies of the Obama administration has devastated the work force, particularly for low level and minority workers.
Entitlement spending, with a record number of folks on food stamps, is not "going down". On top of that, many folks who cannot find work have shifted from the unemployment rolls to the disability rolls, receiving assistance all along the way. Although statistically growing at minuscule levels, the economy is shambles, and the deficit has in no way disappeared.
What is spiteful and appalling is to speak this type of dishonesty to the American people in effort to seek continuance of the power these individuals have; the country be damned. As such, the former president has identified himself as a dishonest broker. Who knew?
I continue to hear how republicans are blocking the legislation from moving forward. If only that were true. Sadly, several GOP members are fighting Sen. Cruz harder than some Democrats.
Obamacare is an encroachment on personal liberty and freedom, a vehicle for massive government control of the citizenry, a road we are traveling to a single payer system. While progressives demand we wave the flag of surrender, every legally permissible opportunity to thwart Obamacare must be taken.
The fight is on; offer these dishonest opponents of freedom No Quarter!

Power of the States
As the winds of Autumn prepare to blow over the gridiron fields across the fruited plain, for those of us who seek freedom and limited government, a stiff, sometimes sharp and biting, political wind has been in our face seemingly for decades.
For 100 years, the Progressives have been working diligently to "fundamentally transform" America, molding it to their hearts content. Not withstanding the presidency of Ronald Reagan, the wheels of transformation have been turning, and we are now coming to grips with which direction the wind is blowing.
While the parallels to George Orwell's 1984 novel are quite clear, it really is beyond that. The falsities presented on a daily basis in the mainstream news cycle is illustrative that common sense is absent, and in a more troubling development, the presentation of events are dictated by political influences with specific agendas.
The progressives have done their homework, and have welcomed the utilization of the insights and tactics of Edward Bernays, Saul Alinsky and Cass Sunstein. Through executive orders, legislation and media elements, public behavior in being nudged into an inescapable position of oppression. These mechanisms have allowed the government to introduce the public to new normals that are unnecessary in their existence, manipulating choice in effort to control the citizenry.
Certainly, that paints a grim picture of the future, but the most ominous aspect of this transformation is the failure our elected officials to adhere to the law. Under the Obama administration, there are many examples that can be presented to illustrate the administration operating outside the law. It was first exhibited when the GM bondholders were eliminated from the contract order of repayment of their bond investment, present when the DOJ failed to prosecute obvious voter intimidation by the Black Panthers in Philadelphia to recently picking and choosing which parts of Obamacare, legislation voted into law which violates our Constitution, will be delayed in implementation.
Once you have our government doing as they please without adherence to our laws, you indeed have nothing short of a banana republic. At that point, and we are here, drastic measure must be taken to preserve the great experiment handed to us by our divinely inspired Founding Fathers.
The Great One, Mark Levin, a Constitutional scholar and radio talk show host, joined Sean Hannity on "Hannity" on The FOX News Channel to discuss a radical, yet legal and intelligent, avenue for the citizenry to wrestle back control of our arrogant and lawless officials, sadly from both parties, running Washington DC. Take a listen:
Embarked upon by Woodrow Wilson, the road we are traveling portrayed by Stuart Chase has been slowly traversed by progressives, and the destination is sadly in sight. This is a resort of socialism, ripe with decay and void of incentive, hope and dignity for those on the outside looking in, alarming portrayed in Orwells' 1984. Perhaps Friedrich Hayek gave us the blueprint, noting how a society travels "The Road to Serfdom".
It will take an innovative and all inclusive effort to retard the momentum the progressives now have, but in order to preserve our nation, the fight must be engaged promptly. The ideas Levin presented, recognizing the power of the states, have strong merit, and BAHL Revere is hoping to sound the alarm in the spirit of Paul Revere.
The times are just as dire.

Road Closed
Last week, an important victory for freedom loving Americans was recorded.
Certainly, given the majority of the mainstream media has fallen to nothing short of a propaganda arm for the Obama administration, few are likely aware of a significant win of a central tenant to the founding of this nation; private property rights.
A slow creep against property rights, perhaps from back as far as ideas expressed by Stuart Chase in "The Road We Are Traveling", hit a major road block as The Supreme Court ruled in favor for the good guys in a property rights case from Orange County, Florida, which is the greater Orlando market.
We chronicled the case in a blog post earlier this year, noting the results of the case, defended by The Pacific Legal Foundation, would have significant ramifications.
The Pacific Legal Foundation gives an overview of this meaningful victory and its relation to the rights of private property owners across the fruited plain. Take a listen:
Through excessive taxation and regulation, including environmental fees, the government, while not wishing to own your property outright, increasingly controls what you can do with your property with respect to improvements.
A recent study by the American Legislative Exchange Council reported that that the EPA has imposed “at least $13 billion in annual regulatory costs” through the “sue-and-settle” method. As reported by The Washington Times, That approach involves environmental groups suing the EPA for failing to meet deadlines for actions related to the Clean Air or Clean Water act, and the agency negotiating settlements on how to address the issues. The technique effectively removes states and other stakeholders from any involvement in federal environmental policy.
As we noted in a previous essay, if an ever increasing oppressive government, who already has tremendous power through code enforcement and the permitting process, can shakedown owners seeking permits to develop their owned property through imposing arbitrary fees, penalties and or taxes as a condition of obtaining permits is an extension of extraction that is unethical and unconstitutional.
A violation of the Constitution indeed!
Sadly, however, the rule of law is not always enough. Recently, the EPA, bypassing legislation by Congress relying on executive orders, has implemented plans to increase the already unprecedented power of the scandalous agency.
While the greater majority of these actions are presented as needed effort to limit man made damage to Global Climate Change, the reality is it is a vehicle for the transfer of wealth and control over the citizenry, with particular emphasis on energy and envormnental protection, both of which affect property owners. These are tenants involved in Agenda 21, as we previously noted.
In his writings, Stuart Chase never engaged global warming, but did discuss transforming the free enterprise system into something referred to as "X", joining the Fabian socialists into molding a society to their hearts content in the aftermath of a collapsed free market economy Cloward and Piven style.
The decision in favor of limiting the tentacles of an oppressive government from encroaching upon private property rights places a significant road block on the road the progressives are traveling. That, of course, assumes the rule of law if adhered to, which sadly is a reach these days.
We will take any victory we can, and thanks to the strong work of The Pacific Legal Foundation, we have reason to celebrate. Oppressionists never sleep, so tomorrow is another day.

In God We Trust
Throughout his presidency, President Obama has taken seemingly every opportunity to change the history, advancing a false narrative that America is not a Christian nation.
The instances of this type rhetoric by Obama are plentiful, from leaving "endowed by their creator" out of the preamble to the Declaration of Independence, speaking of collective salvation and attacking the institution of the Catholic church.
Obama, using his same old game of straw man arguments in application of the Overton Window, is traveling down a road that is false and most destructive to our nation. In his arrogance, apparently, Obama feels empowered to implement his beliefs on the stature of our nation, relegating those principles of the past to a time we have traveled past.
Mr. President, we will thwart you from directing us to travel that road, as our divinely inspired nation will rise up against all enemies, foreign or domestic, who seek to transform us away from our founding principles.
While the issue is most serious, and as we approach the election all issues surrounding Obama are, a video from Stoplight highlights a road Obama should travel.
Please see the following:
You won't find Stuart Chase on this road, but you will find overwhelming evidence regarding the foundation of our country.
It is a foundation of principles, which are centered around God, and In God We Trust.

Breaker One Nine
Stuart Chase, who was an economist and MIT educated engineer, often credited with coining the phrase The New Deal, wrote a book in 1942 titled The Road We Are Traveling: Guidelines to America's Future. It is nothing more than a road map to Communism. Glenn Beck has more on Chase and his history over at The Blaze.
Glenn Beck, who has been on this topic for some time, discusses the horrifying details on his radio show last week. Make sure you are sitting down:
Often times, for things to really sink in, reading for complete comprehension is preferred. So review the list once again below:
1. A STRONG, CENTRALIZED GOVERNMENT.
2. AN EXECUTIVE ARM GROWING AT THE EXPENSE OF THE LEGISLATIVE AND JUDICIAL ARMS.
3. THE CONTROL OF BANKING, CREDIT AND SECURITY EXCHANGES BY THE GOVERNMENT.
4. THE UNDERWRITING OF EMPLOYMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT, EITHER THROUGH ARMAMENTS OR PUBLIC WORKS.
5. THE UNDERWRITING OF SOCIAL SECURITY BY THE GOVERNMENT – OLD-AGE PENSIONS, MOTHERS’ PENSIONS, UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE AND THE LIKE.
6. THE UNDERWRITING OF GOOD HOUSING AND MEDICAL CARE, BY THE GOVERNMENT.
7. THE USE OF THE DEFICIT SPENDING TECHNIQUE TO FINANCE THESE UNDER WRITINGS. THE ANNUALLY BALANCED BUDGET HAS LOST ITS OLD-TIME SANCTITY.
8. THE ABANDONMENT OF GOLD IN FAVOR OF MANAGED CURRENCIES
9. THE CONTROL OF FOREIGN TRADE BY THE GOVERNMENT, WITH INCREASING EMPHASIS ON BILATERAL AGREEMENTS AND BARTER DEALS .
10. THE CONTROL OF NATURAL RESOURCES, WITH INCREASING EMPHASIS ON SELF-SUFFICIENCY.
11. THE CONTROL OF ENERGY SOURCES – HYDROELECTRIC POWER, COAL, PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS.
12. THE CONTROL OF TRANSPORTATION – RAILWAYS, HIGHWAYS, AIRWAYS AND WATERWAYS.
13. THE CONTROL OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION.
14. THE CONTROL OF LABOR ORGANIZATIONS, OFTEN TO THE POINT OF PROHIBITING STRIKES.
15. THE ENLISTMENT OF YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN IN YOUTH CORPS DEVOTED TO HEALTH, DISCIPLINE, COMMUNITY SERVICE AND IDEOLOGIES CONSISTENT WITH THOSE OF THE AUTHORITIES.
16. HEAVY TAXATION, WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON THE ESTATES AND INCOMES OF THE RICH.
17. NOT MUCH “TAKING OVER” OF PROPERTY OR INDUSTRIES IN THE OLD SOCIALISTIC SENSE. THE FORMULA APPEARS TO BE CONTROL WITHOUT OWNERSHIP. IT IS INTERESTING TO RECALL THE SAME FORMULA IS USED BY THE MANAGEMENT OF GREAT CORPORATIONS IN DEPRIVING STOCKHOLDERS OF POWER.
18. THE STATE CONTROL OF COMMUNICATIONS AND PROPAGANDA.
Speaking of propaganda, the Obama administration has put forth a movie highlighting his accomplishments, and there are plenty if you are a Progressive.
The title of Obama's documentary, in yet another stunning level of arrogance, is The Road We Have Traveled. Note the title, which I can assure you, is not by coincidence. In fact, as Beck appropriately points out, this is a slap in the face to opponents of the Obama doctrine.
Every single listed goal above is done or very close to being accomplished. Although it seems we are being required to, this is not a road America aims to travel. Breaker One nine, this here the Rubber Duck! Time for hard u-turn. Keep the bugs off your glass and the bears off your ass!
It is time to get serious. We won the Cold War fighting against communism, and we certainly cannot stand idly by while some arrogant upstart Marxist and his team of faculty lounge lizards transform our great country.

Certainly, there is time for guilty pleasures and you must continue to live your life. But, being an American carries with a responsibility to protect our freedoms through all legally permissible means and make our country a better place for our children and grandchildren.
