America's Evil Shadow

"Unaffected by elections. Unaltered by populist movements. Beyond the reach of the law. Say hello to America’s shadow government. A corporatized, militarized, entrenched bureaucracy that is fully operational and staffed by un-elected officials who are, in essence, running the country, this shadow government represents the hidden face of a government that has no respect for the freedom of its citizenry."
--John Whitehead

Observing the dictates of the day, the thought of a shadow government pulling all the strings gains credence.

And that shadow, appears to be more evil than one can imagine.

To The Moon

If you ever wondered just how far our nation has fallen, your answer has just been summed up in rather stunning and simplistic fashion.

Earlier in his administration, President Obama charged NASA with Muslim outreach.

President Obama noted in Missouri just prior to his election in 2008 that "we are five days away from fundamentally transforming The United States of America" to an arena with resounding cheers.

Did these morons cheering have any idea what Obama would do to our once proud nation?  What exactly would he be transforming us into?

John F. Kennedy asked you to "ask not what your country can do for you, but you can do for your country."

Barack Obama thinks the Constitution is an imperfect document, one which reflects deep flaws, noting "the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can't do to you, it says what the federal government can't do to you, but it doesn't say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf."

There is a huge difference in these two men, and the Obama inner staff has little regard for JFK.

Obama has succeeded in transforming our nation, and for those who champion liberty and freedom, this is a most ominous development.

If only Jackie Gleason could instruct NASA to send Obama to the moon, and rid our nation of his anti-American influences.

We Waved Goodbye

Space Shuttle Challenger Crew
FOX News reports on this day, a day thirty years ago we lost the Space Shuttle Challenger, that "Family members of Challenger victims to mark 30 years since shuttle disaster".

"It's going to be wonderful to watch the pages turn,"  said June Scobee Rodgers, widow of Challenger commander Dick Scobee, earlier this week. The second generation "can now speak for our family and speak for the nation," she said, adding that she's looking forward to these grown astronauts' children "sharing their stories, their beliefs and their leadership."

Americans, and certainly us Floridians living near Kennedy Space Center, share a sense of pride of our space program. Space exploration is most dangerous, and is only reserved for our bravest pioneers.

It was a dark day for America.

The Challenger mission was noteworthy for having a civilian astronaut, Christa McAuliffe, a teacher who took the hearts of students across the fruited plain with her on her voyage.

In similar fashion to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, most remember where they were when the tragic, televised event, took place.

I recall watching it unfold in the cafeteria of my fraternity house at Florida State University; it was approaching the lunch hour.  Within a half hour of it occurring, I picked up my now wife after her class and sadly informed her of what had transpired.

With the eyes of America swelling in tears, President Ronald Reagan addressed the nation with beautiful words and elegant grace. Reagan spoke for all of America, and today we remember with heavy hearts the lost crew of the Challenger Space Shuttle.

Thwart The Tyrannical President

On election Tuesday a few weeks back, the policies of President Barack Obama, each and everyone of them, were on the ballot. President Obama himself said it, seemingly in a taunt to the GOP, an in reality, the voters he holds in such deep disdain.  The policies, Every single one of them!

The voters, who over the last decade have seemingly been acting out a conclusion drawn by Aldous Huxley in his novel Brave New World where he claims the electorate would be engulfed in a sea of irrelevance, appeared to have gained friction to hand President Obama a resounding defeat seen rarely in the last century.

There are those who thought this bitter defeat would force Obama to move toward the center and work with the GOP to achieve the desires of the electorate.  They do not know him, his goals, his narcissism and his deep rooted goal of transforming (his word), destroying (my word) this great nation.

Rush Limbaugh is rarely speechless, but the comments by Sen. Mitch McConnell in response to the defiance of President Obama gave him cottonmouth.  "The president continues to send signals that he has no intention of moving toward the middle", said McConnell.

If this is a harbinger of the complete lack of understanding by the GOP, presumably our only avenue of hope against our tyrannical leader, of the extremely serious state of Constitutional crisis our nation is in, we are in the deep depths of trouble.

Obama did not listen to the message the voters sent; he could care less. Obama said he heard those who did not vote, taken over by his narcissism, knowing that those non-voters were in support of him and his policies.

Until the Obama presidency is over, our nation is in great peril. Although presenting rhetoric to the contrary, Obama has always governed against the consent of the governed.  Obamacare, a historically significant piece of legislation, was passed after several deals were cut without one republican vote.  Although many knew at the time and sang from the mountain tops, we have come to learn the American people were deceived and lied to about the real aspects of the plan, and most notably, the costs.  You Lie!

Obama will now mash the gas pedal to implement his objectives by any means necessary, championing the mantra presented by one of his mentors, Saul Alinsky.  Obama does not care if the constitution is violated, laws are broken or the voters are deceived, as long as he gets what he thinks he needs to get done.

The main items Obama will attempt to push through will dramatically change our nation, and not for the better if you seek individual freedom and prosperity. In fact, they will usher in chaos, another Alinsky objective.

It began with a deal Obama recently struck on Climate Change with China.  We will seek to reduce dramatically our greenhouse gas output over the next decade while China, the worlds largest polluter, will attempt to begin efforts in this regard in 2025.  Are you kidding me?  This deal is so backwards, even you Democrats should be able to decipher this is not about the weather, pollution or our possibly changing climate patterns. It is about control over the citizenry, perhaps eventually under the governance of The United Nations.

Obama will seek to achieve Net Neutrality, which is nothing more than an avenue to regulate free speech and silence political opponents.  For evidence, seek to get familiar with Obama adviser Mark Lloyd, who greatly admires the effort of Venezuela in this regard.  Net Neutrality should be parked.

Obama will seek to allow amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants and their immediate families, who would be set to receive immediate access to welfare and other public benefits. Although this is portrayed to be an economic plus, the huge influx of low skilled workers diminishes skilled labor wages, the working families Obama and every democrat claim to get up every morning  to help. Obama knows this; however, he does not convey the truth to you, unless you read his book. In reality, it is about crashing the system, a dream of the disciples of The Cloward and Piven Strategy. While Obamacare can be chipped away, amnesty is irreversible.

It is time to man up!

This is not about an election, or republicans versus democrats. This is about our very system of governance. Obama stated it prior to being elected in 2008, when he spoke of viewing the Constitution as an imperfect charter of negative liberties, saying what the federal government can't do to you, but it doesn't say what the federal government can or should do on your behalf.  That is a far cry from the John F. Kennedy inaugural speech, where he asked not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.

Radio talk show host Mark Levin, The Great One, brilliantly states the high stakes involved and our intolerance of feckless republicans who seem all to eager to join the democrats at the spigot of power, placing more value on their positions in the ruling class rather than defending the Constitution. Hear his epic rant, via The Right Scoop, HERE.

This fight is indeed about defending the republic.  Nothing should rate at a higher level of importance as Obama seeks to seize constitutional power from the United States Congress. Through any and every legally permissible action, this encroachment on our system of government by an imperial and tyrannical president must be thwarted.

Smoke Out Charlatan Crist

"It seems many good men lose their soul when they become a high powered politician. Seemingly consumed with power, a sadly large contingency of these individuals relegate any previously subscribed to principles to the recycle bin".

That is how a recent post, titled Sorry Charlie, about Charlie Crist, the former GOP Florida governor, who without a significant pivot point, changed course to become the best friend of Barack Obama and Joe Biden and is now running again for governor of Florida as a Democrat, began.

Crist, a charlatan to be sure, is in a battle with current republican governor Rick Scott, who although a mediocre candidate at best, has actually done a pretty fair job in his first term.

This is not lost on Crist, so he has attached himself to a vehicle to help him slip past Scott, a Florida Constitutional Amendment (2) to allow the medical use of marijuana for individuals with debilitating diseases. Pull on the heart strings, but behind the scenes, there is much more than meets the eye.

With Crist removed from public office by having been defeated for the US Senate in Florida by Marco Rubio, Crist went to work for high powered Orlando based attorney John Morgan, a progressive Democrat who has hosted fundraisers at his Winter Park home for Democrats, inclusive of President Obama.

Morgan, whose law firm slogan is For The People, is the leading statewide advocate for the passage of Amendment 2. Morgan was down in Polk County recently and spoke to a crowd of Amendment 2 supporters, where he addressed the crowd.  Take a listen:

Marijuana can indeed help individuals with debilitating diseases, and the avenue for those folks to get the necessary legal drugs to help them should be placed on the fast track.  But, if you take the temperature of the crowd Morgan is addressing, you quickly recognize those folks are not in attendance. These are low information useful idiots, and people I would decline to be associated with.

Those who are in attendance are those who want pot legalized so they can smoke it till their hearts content, seemingly oblivious to the pain and suffering the bill is advertised to be attempting to help.

Reports have Morgan having bought up tracts of land in Florida to have a hand in growing marijuana should the amendment pass.  Although, given his high level advocacy, Morgan should disclose this if true. but otherwise, this is America.  Hope he has connections at the local permitting offices.

Crist is all in with Morgan, who is among the strongest financial backers of the Crist campaign.

Crist tells us Floridians he will wake up every day thinking how he can help the working families of the state.
We don't need or want his help.  We want government out of the way, with their interaction with the public limited.  Crist does not find the citizenry capable of functioning efficiently without him.

Crist once claimed to be a Reagan republican, a champion of limited government.  Now he is a Democrat, where he champions government having a visible and invisible hand in the commerce of the people.

If Crist is in fact a Democrat, and not an opportunist candidate without principle available to the highest bidder, he should look to John F. Kennedy, who asked the citizenry to not seek what the government can do for you, but what you can do for your country.

For me, that is to encourage individual freedom and liberty, something Crist thinks is better dealt out by elected official rather than earned by hard working Americans.

As Thomas Jefferson said, “I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”- “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

Should we continue to elect politicians without principle, like Charlie Crist, we will bring about what Jefferson feared; a democracy which will cease to exist.

RICK SCOTT for Governor of Florida! Lets Keep Working!

Salvation of the State

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance, and a people who mean to be their own Governors, must arm themselves with the power knowledge gives." --James Madison, 1822

The world is on fire; without question.  The list of items headlining media outlets of truth are mind boggling to be sure.  Among the long very long list of worrisome items for the citizenry to absorb are the following:

* The US National Debt grew more than a trillion dollars last year, and is now at approximately 18 trillion.  This is just the number released by the government, with the actual number far exceeding this amount. The debt could never be repaid without extensive monetary operations, which cannot be effectively engaged upon with the horrendous economy we currently have.  Monetizing the debt, currently underway, is only postponing the real pain.

* The economic woes in China are deepening, with the government initiating a "stealth QE" to combat a liquidity crisis.  If you think their woes would not have an affect on our economy, you are mistaken.

* The number of Americans on food stamps has eclipsed 46 million, which is approximately 15% of the total population.  There are long term issues resulting from potential workers remaining out of the workforce, on the public dole, for an extended period of time if one seeks a fully employed population.

* The unemployment rate is reported to be decreasing, signaling good economic conditions.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  The administration changed the calculations on how the number is figured for starters, and have been counting part time workers within the number.  The real unemployment rate is in the low teens, and has been for several years, the longest such period of grief since The Great Depression.

* The Russian Bear is growling, with Russia flexing muscle by invading sovereign nations, causing a major disturbance in the Ukraine and creating plenty of economic concerns involving our dollar as we try to implement sanctions on them. Of course, there is no plan or policy formatted to deal with the issue, so we are forced to react to the hand Vladimir Putin deals us.  Some reset?

* A Malasyian Boeing jetliner which vanished from the sky in March remains unaccounted for, and nobody seems to care.  The media has moved on, and so have the public.

*The southern border remains wide open by design, with the Obama administration orchestrating the rush of tens of thousands of folks, inclusive of children, to enter the country through the border. An effort to share the wealth and create large numbers of citizens dependent on governmental assistance, this action was essentially an immigration reform bill which bypassed a vote in Congress.  Nice trick by the progressives without the knowledge of the majority of voters, except among those lovely children entering the US through the southern border were untold numbers of terrorists, who may have been trafficking various forms of lethal weaponry.

James Madison was quite correct.  Bureaucrats in Washington, some who are adverse to the principles which were central to the founders, are governing, and transforming, America right under the nose of those among the citizenry who Aldous Huxley noted would be drunk on a sea of irrelevance.  If in doubt, please the following segment from "The O'Reilly Factor", where correspondent Jesse Watters invites college students to enter his, or our, world.

America is in real trouble.  Remember those famous words from the inaugural address by President John F. Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?"  There is a responsibility that comes with being a citizen of this great country, and it requires more than keeping up to date with pop culture, obtaining any and every entitlement available and adopting nihilism as a philosophical doctrine.

As Madison accurately noted, our citizenry must arm themselves with the power knowledge gives, to help ensure the future not only for ourselves, but our children and grandchildren.  After all, as the inscription above the main entrance to Nebraska's beautiful State Capitol reads: "The Salvation of the State is Watchfulness in the Citizen."

High Treason

JFK/Photo/NASA
On this day, 50 years ago, innocence was lost as President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on a beautiful sunsplahsed afternoon. The nation was left in mourning.

Kennedy, a Democrat, was an inspirational president, perhaps best know for spearheading landing a man on the moon.  His handling of the Bay of Pigs, although described as far superior to reality in the aftermath of his death, was no doubt positive and significant.

Kennedy has been made into a martyr following his assassination, from the accomplishment of his presidency to the presentation of Camelot, which was a vision put forth by Jacqueline Kennedy and Arthur Schlesinger following Kennedy's death.

The left holds Kennedy in the highest regard; however, he would likely be a Tea Party member were he fully engaged in the politics of this day.  Kennedy challenged innovation, frowned upon entitlements, championed tax cuts and advocated personal responsibility and economic growth.

Ronald Reagan frequently quoted John F. Kennedy, relishing in the thought of how much distaste it brought the Democrats.  But, the facts reveal that Kennedy would be a GOP member today.  I recently spoke with an Obama supporter within my family and asked how they could support both so strongly when they had such opposing beliefs, only to learn this individual now claims little to no support of JFK.

The assassination has been, from day one, a conspiracy upon the American public. The Warren Commission, a bipartisan study of the events culminating in that dreadful Dallas day, has been largely discredited.

I was negative one on this day, but like millions of others, the significance of the events in Dealey Plaza are forever embedded in my memory.

It seems no event is American history has been the source of more conspiracy theories than the Kennedy assassination, and with apologies to Area 51, rightfully so in my estimation.  Many hold firm on the findings of The Warren Commission, but I have never thought it correct.

The assassination, perhaps due to the mystery clouding the events, has always commanded my attention.  Although I have never visited Dealey Plaza, (with FSU playing Oklahoma State in Dallas to kickoff the 2014 college football season that is likely to change) I have always though a second gunman existed on the grassy knoll.

Although areas incorrect were noted in Oliver Stone's film JFK, I found it most intriguing.  Who was on the grassy knoll?  Why was Richard Nixon in Dallas on that day?  Did Lyndon Johnson play an evil role?  Questions continue to abound.

I found one of the most complete assortment of the events was found in the book titled "High Treason" by Robert Groden and Harrison E. Livingstone.

Certainly, Lee Harvey Oswald, a communist, did shoot President Kennedy, but I find it highly likely others were involved, inclusive of a second shooter.  As popular as Kennedy was, he had many enemies, many thought to have plenty of motive for such a drastic endeavour.  Sadly, the left; however, evidence to the contrary not withstanding, continues to place blame on the right.

We may never know the entire course of events and motivation of this tragic day in Dallas, a day our nation lost its innocence.  What we do know, and have known for centuries, is violence is not the answer to issues that plague our nation.   Only as a last resort, after all legal intellectual engagement has failed, would such action be considered appropriate.

The actions on November 22, 1963, did not meet such criteria, and therefore, high treason was committed.

Knowing Kennedy

As anticipated, the Vice Presidential debate between Vice President Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan was sure interesting. What most took away from it was the Paul Ryan seemed logical and measured while Joe Biden came across practically unhinged, with excessive laughter and smirking, a condescending demeanor and incessant interrupting.

Certainly, the behavior Biden exhibited was not becoming someone who holds such a high position in our government; our citizenry should demand more. Media across the spectrum have weighed in unfavorably for Biden, from his lack of truthfulness in Investors Business Daily to his rude behavior on NBC's Saturday Night Live.

The RNC wasted no time in releasing a hard hitting video ad:

Even though there have been some great lines over the years, Vice Presidential debates typically do not move the needle very much in terms of the outcome of the general election.

Say it ain't so Joe! Certainly, fresh in our minds was the strong performance of Sarah Palin in 2008, and who can forget Lloyd Bentsen catching Dan Quayle in stage fright after his ill advised quote in comparison of John F. "Jack" Kennedy.

In the recent VP debate, Biden seem poised to grab a "Lloyd Bentsen moment", as Glenn Beck posted, but failed in his effort in trying to tag Ryan as attempting to cast himself as comparable to former President Kennedy.

No such luck for cranky Uncle Joe.  As it turns out, Biden was wrong, again, and Ryan was correct.  While JFK seems off limits for debate comparison for some reason, I would like to indulge Biden and have a conversation about the beloved former President.  Who, if anyone, and whose policies are similar to the arena of ideas and philosophies Kennedy advocated?

It is not Obama and Biden, as we noted it would not be back in 2008.

I understand how so many in my parents generation, my parents included, held great admiration for President Kennedy, similar in many ways how a greater majority of my generation, inclusive of myself, hold President Reagan in such high regard.

Certainly, in the era of televisions becoming widespread, there was the whole Camelot phenomenon that enhanced the romance of the young President and his beautiful family.  Unfortunately, on a dreadful day in Dallas in November of 1963, the dream was over and the innocence of the country was lost. In seconds.

One would have to imagine that their infatuation and support of President Kennedy was largely due to agreeing with a large degree of the policies President Kennedy advocated. We can begin with perhaps the most famous quote from JFK, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country", which cannot be regarded as a ringing endorsement of expansive government entitlements.

Under the Obama administration, excessive regulation and taxation, increasing stimulus and expansive entitlements have been stunning in their advance, in no way resembling the positions JFK took with regard to this type of governance.

President Kennedy fought for tax cuts, noting they are an integral part of creating a growing and thriving economy.  While JFK thought, correctly, that free market capitalism requires a base of regulatory foundation, economies function best when those are not variable and are held to a minimum.

In addition, and perhaps most importantly, Kennedy wanted to help create an environment where the citizens of America can pursue happiness, where hard work is rewarded with market driven pay scales allowing workers opportunities for advancement; morally, financially and ethically.  Kennedy was not a supporter of an expansion of entitlements, which creates a culture of dependency which restricts the freedom and incentive of the individual, robbing them of their identity.

Some say Ronald Reagan would be unable to be elected in the GOP of today.  Hogwash!  Reagan would be leading the opposition against the Progressives; in both parties.  In fact, the man who would not be elected in his own party, is John F. Kennedy.

In response to the disagreement over the truth in the debate, Western Free Press grabbed some old video and presented the answers.  Take a thorough listen:

Sadly, when reviewing many of the Democrats in support of Obama and his platform, it would be news to them that their beloved JFK would an opponent. I encourage those Camelot Democrats to expand their knowledge in getting to know Kennedy beyond the images associated with Camelot.  In his own words.

Don't tell Uncle Joe, but maybe Paul Ryan is the man who can carry the JFK torch? Just sayin.

Empower Entrepreneurship

In his inaugural address 50 years ago today, John F. Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country". Lets get back to that and leave socialist thoughts behind for empowering the individual, the entrepreneurial spirit and free market capitalism.

Sooner Socialism

In sports, and in life, it is competition that keeps your fire burning. In a sense, the Celtics need the Lakers, Oklahoma needs Texas and the Red Sox need the Yankees. This is true politically as well, and the Republicans do in fact need the Democrats, or an adequate substitute. The old Democratic Party no longer exists, as it has been high jacked.

Although there were some real questionable cats back in day, like Adali Stevenson, George McGovern, Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis, there were also members of congress who had common sense and worked for and considered America first.

In the current presidential election, it appears the Democrats will end up putting forth the most liberal member of the Senate, who is essentially a community activist, one who associates with some real scary folk. Although he is first term US Senator, he has been running for President for at least two of the three years he has been in congress, leaving him with little experience on the national scene.

As I take note of the rhetoric of the party leaders these days, I see defeatism with respect to the global war on terror, an erroneous attitude towards our enemies reminiscent of Jimmy Carter, income and wealth redistribution, the idea of free healthcare for everyone and an economic policy bordering on socialism, complete with the raising of taxation on capital gains “due to fairness”.

I recall John F. Kennedy famously putting forth “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you could do for your country”. That thought has our citizens competing with another for jobs, in job performance and providing service in the community when able, which gives us a good sense of being. Competition brings out the best in us, and if we fail, we learn and persevere. The new Democrats apparently seek the opposite of what Kennedy sought, having the country provide for you through socialist programs, thus killing American pride and spirit.

I don’t recall the OU Sooners giving Texas a few touchdowns “in a sense of fairness”. If I am a Longhorn, or an American, I would not want them to!

By the way, is there a spot waiting for JC Watts in the McCain administration?
