The Candidates Debate

It sure was an interesting GOP debate the other evening in South Carolina.

After an initial coming together to express condolences over the tragic passing of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia (perhaps the worst day for freedom loving Americans since Obamacare was passed), things got rather dicey quickly.

This was to be expected, as South Carolina has in recent cycles been where the gloves come off, and winners and loser are separated.

However, it was particularly ugly on Saturday night, with the majority of the altercations coming, not from those initially attacking front runner Donald Trump, but Trump attacking & his challengers.

Trump labeled Cruz nasty and "the single biggest liar, a real nasty guy who does not get along with any of his colleagues. In a news conference today, Trump essentially went scorched earth on Cruz.

"Ted Cruz is a totally unstable individual. He is the single biggest liar I’ve ever come across, in politics or otherwise, and I have seen some of the best of them. His statements are totally untrue and completely outrageous. It is hard to believe a person who proclaims to be a Christian could be so dishonest and lie so much".

Trump is feeling heat from Cruz, and unleashed a major attack, however, the Donald was sadly incorrect in his assertions.

I am not seeking a candidate who gets along with Congressional members who are complicit in the destruction of our nation.  Cruz called Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a liar on the Senate floor, and Cruz was correct in doing so in my opinion.

Given what CNN reported publicly, Cruz is also correct in the dispute with Ben Carson Trump references. CNN is not a sound news organization,  which Cruz's team should have known, but with the information out, it was not only appropriate, but a responsible and smart course of action to inform voters.  If anyone is to blame, it is Ben Carson for not making his plans known to his supporters to prevent any misconceptions.

And for the record, Cruz is also correct in his ongoing spat with Marco Rubio on immigration.

Then Trump really got going.

First, Jeb Bush has a much more favorable assessment of his family than most do.  Most folks think the Bush family are good people, and I certainly do.

As a Floridian, it is my opinion Jeb Bush, whom I voted for, did a great job as governor of the Sunshine State.  I gleefully voted for Bush 41 in 1988 but found his performance weak, but supported him again in 1992 against Bill Clinton.  I enthusiastically supported Bush 43 in 2000 and in 2004, and while I still consider his presidency successful and know he was far superior to his Democrat challengers, the more time went on the more disappointed I became with his administration.  However, my disagreements with 43 are minimal and my admiration for him (particularly as a man of class and honor) is strong.  It would be difficult for anyone to no consider the Bush family as a great principled family who care deeply for the United States of America.

But Trump got loose, calling not only the war with Iraq a mistake, but called George W. Bush a liar, commenting that Bush and his team had lied about weapons of mass destruction while saying under 43 "we were not safe".

After being attacked on 9-11, George W. Bush did in fact keep us safe.  Many can question the steps he took to make that happen, but we were not attacked again on our soil during his administration, unlike the Obama administration.  Argue about the Patriot Act if you please, and I will join you, but to say that Bush did not succeed in keeping America safe while prosecuting a global war on terror war is false.

As far as concluding Bush lied about the weapons of mass destruction being in Iraq, I vehemently challenge that statement as false. There were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and they were moved to Syria and are there as we speak. As I noted in a post in December of 2012:

"No longer politically expedient to admonish George W. Bush for going to war with Iraq on false assumptions of the existence of these weapons, it should come as no surprise that stories shining light on the weapons transfer from Iraq to Syria are emerging in frequency. While many reports are discussing recently discovered pathways of weapon movement from Iraq to Syria, hidden behind the discussion is the transfer during the postponement of the invasion of Iraq that France President Jacque Chirac, a dishonest broker who worked against US interests, bought. The second to none editorial page of Investors Business Daily leads the way as usual in presenting and detailing the truth. IBD, in an editorial yesterday, continues to present the facts even if few Americans are willing to absorb it".

I have always personally liked Donald Trump and admired much of his business accomplishment and while he is not my first choice for the GOP nomination, unlike many, I had felt comfortable in supporting him should he win the nomination.

I am now questioning that assessment.

Donald Trump is not an idiot, so I am sure his attacks are based on some level of methodology. However, defeating opponents on merit and on the battlefield of ideas has often been superior to berating with opponents with name calling, lies and threats.

America is some kind of pissed at the establishment of both parties, and Trump has a very unique opportunity before him.  However, while I may be wrong, his scorched earth ramblings in recent days may not only burn up his opponents, it may engulf his candidacy as well.

Disagree with their policies as you wish, but I conclude neither Ted Cruz nor George W. Bush (and I note that Bush is no fan of Cruz) are liars.  Trump; however, is starting to look as though he may be.

Or maybe this is just South Carolina as usual.

Rubio Right On Obama

Marco Rubio is getting rocked for being "robotic" and having canned commentary. The news media, even FOX News, the establishment and other candidates are trashing Rubio. Fine, but it is Senator Rubio who is correct; Obama is gleefully orchestrating the destruction of America as founded.

Nobody seems willing to attack Obama, but there is little problem going after Rubio.

An intellectual elite with a big time chip on his shoulder, through his successful efforts, President Obama is bringing his ideas on wealth transformation, open borders and social justice while diminishing America, who he deems an oppressor, down to the level of the rest of the world.

Upon completion of his term, we conclude he will seek the position of UN Secretary General, because his talents cannot be only limited to the shores of our fruited plain.  He will effort, in his mind boggling arrogance, seek to rule the world.

He is achieving many of his goals here in America.  It is most distressful to note that, like we are reading from the pages of George Orwell's Animal Farm, it appears we are actually living on the Animal Farm.  We continuously send representatives to Washington with one simple task; stop Obama.

They fail, miserably, over and over again.

Note comments made by Rush Limbaugh noting a quote he learned of from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.  "The Senate Majority Leader, Senator Mitch McConnell, has just said there will be no stopping Obama's agenda, because to criticize Obama makes us look bad. What the hell is this campaign gonna be about if not that?"

With folks like this slime ball McConnell in the GOP, is it any wonder our nation is in such disrepair.

GOP front runner Donald Trump has often labeled Obama incompetent, but that is naive and stupid; also quite incorrect.  But why are Rubio, and Sen. Ted Cruz, the only candidates that will accurately portray Obama for the anti-American president he so arrogantly is?

Rush Limbaugh, The Truth Detector, knows.

Rush Limbaugh accurately stated “Rubio’s point is that “Obama’s not incompetent, he’s not inexperienced, he’s doing exactly what he wants to do and none of these Republican moderates will go there. You want to know why? You want to know why? You want to know why they cannot agree that Obama is doing this on purpose? It’s very simple. They cannot agree that Obama is doing it on purpose, they do not dare say that Obama is doing it on purpose, because they have all worked with Barack Obama.”

BAM! Take it to the bank, or in this case, the voting booth!!!

Covert Martial Law?

"While you were following the snowstorm, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R:KY) was busy preparing the way for a proposal". “This resolution is a total rewrite of the War Powers Clause in the U.S. Constitution,” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CN). “It is essentially a declaration of international martial law, a sweeping transfer of military power to the president that will allow him or her to send U.S. troops almost anywhere in the world, for almost any reason, with absolutely no limitations.” "AUMF, written by Sen. Lindsey Graham, (R:SC), is packaged as a proposal to fight the Islamic State group but it would also allow the president to deploy military forces anywhere he chooses and for as long as he wants" wrote Voice of Reason

As noted by Investment Watch Blog, this proposal could open the door to covertly allow Martial Law on US streets.

Obama can kick the ass of ISIS any hour he decides, but continues to choose not to.

Obama is interested in punishing his domestic enemies, and VP Biden has previously described Tea Party members as terrorists. What you consider terrorists are freedom fighters to Obama. Who would be considered terrorists should civil unrest occur after an economic collapse?

No matter.

No President should be given unlimited war powers, and those who effort to operate outside the Constitution should be considered enemies of our nation.

Tracking The Traitors

A gathering in Washington today voiced public opposition to the deal with Iran the Obama administration is championing, which is against the will of the people (70% are opposed) and the majority of the House and Senate.

The speakers at this event are folks BAHL Revere thinks very highly of.  Among them were GOP presidential candidates Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, former congresswoman Michele Bachmann, Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin and Brigitte Gabriel.

Mark Levin
Mark Levin, radio talk show host and constitutional scholar, hammered home the obvious regarding the deal, which will have drastic negative consequences across the globe.

“Never before has a President of the United States. Never before has a political party consented to funding and arming the enemy. Never before has a President entered into agreements with a terrorist regime that holds American hostages; that has killed and maimed thousands of American soldiers, and that seeks nuclear weapons and ICBMs (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles)  to attack his own country,” said Levin. “Barack Obama makes Neville Chamberlain look like George S. Patton,” the former Reagan staffer added.

"The Democrat Party will have blood on their hands as a result of this deal for the rest of time. And let me be clear, this deal sows the seeds of war." Agreed.

This deal, negotiated from a position of weakness, is, as Sen. Ted Cruz said, catastrophic.  In fact, it is an orchestrated effort from within to weaken American and strengthen those who describe themselves as our enemies. The deal would make Uncle Sam a top financier of global terrorism, essentially arming those who fight against our military. Let that sink into your thoughts for a moment.

If elected president, Ted Cruz reverse the deal on day one. Donald Trump would not eliminate the deal, but would drastically restructure the deal, which he terms as crafted by very stupid people.

I stand with Senator Cruz on this one.  While Senator Cruz is well aware of the terrorists we are dealing with, Trump approaches it as a business deal.  My appreciation of Trump's abilities in deal making (I read The Art of the Deal like most everyone else) is vast; however, I do not do deals with folks who are not trustworthy, particularly with nuclear weapons.

In addition, Trump should know the folks at the top crafting this deal are not stupid; far from it. These people are enemies within, people who view America as the problem and not the solution to the problem. They loathe the citizenry, and seek centralized power over the peasants they have to deal with.  They view America as an oppressor, and seek to diminish her power through the transformation of wealth and by advancing opportunities to embolden her enemies.

This deal with Iran is such an opportunity. For Iran, it is the Deal of the Century.

Adding insult to injury, just for Obama's pleasure I am sure, the deal is to be vote on on September 11.

And as we have noted, Obama seeks to help facilitate the formation of a caliphate in the middle east, ushering in a Greater Syria, or a new Ottoman Empire, if you will. The pieces have been being placed for some time.  This would include a Muslim nation with power rivaling that of any other nation, inclusive of the United States.  ISIS is doing the cleansing, and Obama is not too concerned about that, evidenced by his putrid effort to stop the unspeakable violence and chaos these murderers are engaged in.  It is noted Obama even allowed them to seize a large amount of our equipment, in the form of tanks, missile launchers and Humvees, inexplicably left in the region.

Glenn Beck has noted that we are at a crossroads. President Obama has chosen to stand with evil in Iran, against Israel, and against the will of the citizenry he governs.

The United States was placed in great peril with this deal, and future citizens will die due to this utterly despicable and irresponsible act by a brazen president acting outside or historical avenues of legislation. The Congress, which has allowed his reckless behavior, should also bear responsibility, and that certainly includes Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to act is to act. Not to speak, is to speak"---Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Along with thousands of folks in DC today in spirit, I have spoken.

Disciples of Death

Over the last several weeks, there have been a series of videos released describing in no uncertain terms the activities underway at Planned Parenthood.  Unless you have been under a rock, you have seen them. Or maybe not, as you were unable to stomach the content.

These undercover videos, presented by the Center for Medical Progress, inform the public of the grotesque and appalling activities of Planned Parenthood, which takes on added significance given of the sad reality our taxpayer dollars are funding these insidious actions. The Alliance Defending Freedom has more.

One can perhaps argue that, although it is logical birth begins at inception, while a collection of cells is engaged performance of an abortion is not murder.  However, at the time these abortions are performed, it is unquestionably murder, as if there was no baby, there would be no parts to sell.

No matter where you fall on the debate of abortion, I hope we can agree this despicable action is sickening and horrifying; and evil.  The folks performing these activities, some with a cavalier attitude buoyed by arrogance, will rot in hell.

I am incensed our government is funding the murder of the unborn with my tax dollars. Given these videos, which document the commerce of selling baby body parts of aborted children, our political leaders can no longer say they were unaware of what taxpayers dollars are funding.

Sen. Mitch McConnell
A Bill to Defund Planned Parenthood was blocked by the Senate this past week, as Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said it was not the proper time to do it.  I would like to ask the Senator when the appropriate time might be? When would be a good to stop giving money to an organization the murders unborn children and brokers their body parts for profit?

Sen. Ted Cruz, R:TX, has sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky,early next week urging him not to schedule a vote on legislation that continues to fund Planned Parenthood. “In light of recent and horrific revelations that Planned Parenthood is trafficking in fetal tissue and body parts from abortions, we urge you not to schedule or facilitate the consideration of any legislation that authorizes or appropriates federal dollars for Planned Parenthood."

Actually, Sen. McConnell, the time is now.  And, not withstanding a truckload of other reasons, due to your inexplicable action on this issue, I am calling for your resignation.  Your lack of leadership, equaled in large measure by your House counterpart John Boehner, has significantly contributed to the demise of our nation. In no way, shape or form do either of you RHINO's represent your constituents.  We sent both of you to the leadership by voting in GOP members who promised to stop the transformation enacted by President Obama.. Most of them have failed miserably, and for those who continue to fight you, they have faced punitive retribution for siding against you.

I am against you both, and will work to end your tenure as representatives of the GOP.

The defunding of Planned Parenthood is a noteworthy example of decisions on your behalf that go against GOP principles, and are of assistance to the objectives of the left and President Obama.  While we will exercise our legal options in terminating your elected status, there will be en eternal price to pay for, given an opportunity to stand for life over death, you took death.

Those who support Planned Parenthood, given the knowledge we now have, can only be accurately described as disciples of death.  May God have mercy on you.

The Health Trap

As many of us accurately predicted, Obamacare as passed was unsustainable and would create such dysfunction cries for a quick fix would roar. It has begun, and the end game of a single payer plan, always the goal, is coming our way quicker than first thought, limiting choice and reducing quality of care for paying consumers, placing your health care in total control of the Federal Government.

Zero Hedge, citing a Wall Street Journal report, produces a thorough and scathing post detailing how the passage of Obamacare will permanently limit the efficiency of deliverance across the board, raising the costs, reducing competition and limiting accountability, quality and safety for the consumer.

Costs and premiums are rising, while you cannot actually keep your doctor.  Choices of plans are diminishing, and flexibility of coverage for the insured is being reeled in. Your relationship with your physician is no longer paramount, as he relationship that counts is between the company providing you with your plan and their biggest customer, which is the federal government rather than you.

In addition, Sarah Palin was quite correct.  There is the formation of death panels, which will become an unwanted intrusion into the relationship between the physician controlled by the government and you.  Sadly, the less the government values your contributions to society, perhaps indicated not by action but by age, the more cost prohibitive the necessary procedure becomes, significantly limiting the odds the patient receives the procedure.

President Obama, at a very minimum, misrepresented health care legislation to the American people. Elections have consequences, and sadly, thanks to idiots drunk on a sea of irrelevance who were fooled once again, we are about to pay up, and in a most punitive way.

Congratulations.

Voters sent GOP representatives to the Congress and Senate in droves in 2010 and 2014, sending a strong message they wanted this signature and partisan legislation defeated.  However, when the GOP presidential candidate was himself an advocate of government health care, just ran by smarter people than Obama, the conservative base shrugged.

It has gotten so bad, these politicians from both sides intoxicated with power, that many in the GOP, while publicly expressing opposition, quietly worked behind the scenes to help Obamacare limit across the finish line.  A weapon, the power of the purse, was never seriously considered. Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are very weak and need to be defeated, and as Mark Levin says, "Let them fight for their political careers as our response to their disgusting and pathetic behavior.”

The legislation was not about health care.  It, with a hidden concern of global warming, is about control of the people.  Progressive elites are concerned about population control and the effect the everyday habits of private citizens have on the earth. Obamacare has many tentacles within the legislation nobody has read, which leaves decisions to "the secretary" or to panels assembled with unelected  bureaucrats who are untouchable  by the electorate.

In addition, these panels may be globalized, and fall under the jurisdiction of the United Nations, again, with the main concern of global warming and population control.  Activities will be taxed, as the progressive elite utilize media partners in the promotion of health conscious lifestyles, whether you wish to be involved in them or not.  Budweiser will not be considered a healthy lifestyle.

When the dust settles on this new trade agreement, and it becomes clear America is taking direction from a global governance, health care will be spread across the globe to those who are not as fortunate. While this may be a wonderful thing to be involved in, the taxpayers will foot the bill whether they want to or not.

Bottom line is that you were lied to about Obamacare, inclusive of  its true objectives, the costs associated with it and the benefits, or lack thereof, you will receive from being enrolled.  The same big health care companies previously in charge are still in charge, except they answer to the federal government rather than to you. And the price to get in bed with the federal government, which comes from loss of directional control and financial freedom, will be steep, paid for at the end of the day by the end consumer; you.

Idiots voting have dire consequences, and we will soon learn that lesson the hard way.

Thwart The Tyrannical President

On election Tuesday a few weeks back, the policies of President Barack Obama, each and everyone of them, were on the ballot. President Obama himself said it, seemingly in a taunt to the GOP, an in reality, the voters he holds in such deep disdain.  The policies, Every single one of them!

The voters, who over the last decade have seemingly been acting out a conclusion drawn by Aldous Huxley in his novel Brave New World where he claims the electorate would be engulfed in a sea of irrelevance, appeared to have gained friction to hand President Obama a resounding defeat seen rarely in the last century.

There are those who thought this bitter defeat would force Obama to move toward the center and work with the GOP to achieve the desires of the electorate.  They do not know him, his goals, his narcissism and his deep rooted goal of transforming (his word), destroying (my word) this great nation.

Rush Limbaugh is rarely speechless, but the comments by Sen. Mitch McConnell in response to the defiance of President Obama gave him cottonmouth.  "The president continues to send signals that he has no intention of moving toward the middle", said McConnell.

If this is a harbinger of the complete lack of understanding by the GOP, presumably our only avenue of hope against our tyrannical leader, of the extremely serious state of Constitutional crisis our nation is in, we are in the deep depths of trouble.

Obama did not listen to the message the voters sent; he could care less. Obama said he heard those who did not vote, taken over by his narcissism, knowing that those non-voters were in support of him and his policies.

Until the Obama presidency is over, our nation is in great peril. Although presenting rhetoric to the contrary, Obama has always governed against the consent of the governed.  Obamacare, a historically significant piece of legislation, was passed after several deals were cut without one republican vote.  Although many knew at the time and sang from the mountain tops, we have come to learn the American people were deceived and lied to about the real aspects of the plan, and most notably, the costs.  You Lie!

Obama will now mash the gas pedal to implement his objectives by any means necessary, championing the mantra presented by one of his mentors, Saul Alinsky.  Obama does not care if the constitution is violated, laws are broken or the voters are deceived, as long as he gets what he thinks he needs to get done.

The main items Obama will attempt to push through will dramatically change our nation, and not for the better if you seek individual freedom and prosperity. In fact, they will usher in chaos, another Alinsky objective.

It began with a deal Obama recently struck on Climate Change with China.  We will seek to reduce dramatically our greenhouse gas output over the next decade while China, the worlds largest polluter, will attempt to begin efforts in this regard in 2025.  Are you kidding me?  This deal is so backwards, even you Democrats should be able to decipher this is not about the weather, pollution or our possibly changing climate patterns. It is about control over the citizenry, perhaps eventually under the governance of The United Nations.

Obama will seek to achieve Net Neutrality, which is nothing more than an avenue to regulate free speech and silence political opponents.  For evidence, seek to get familiar with Obama adviser Mark Lloyd, who greatly admires the effort of Venezuela in this regard.  Net Neutrality should be parked.

Obama will seek to allow amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants and their immediate families, who would be set to receive immediate access to welfare and other public benefits. Although this is portrayed to be an economic plus, the huge influx of low skilled workers diminishes skilled labor wages, the working families Obama and every democrat claim to get up every morning  to help. Obama knows this; however, he does not convey the truth to you, unless you read his book. In reality, it is about crashing the system, a dream of the disciples of The Cloward and Piven Strategy. While Obamacare can be chipped away, amnesty is irreversible.

It is time to man up!

This is not about an election, or republicans versus democrats. This is about our very system of governance. Obama stated it prior to being elected in 2008, when he spoke of viewing the Constitution as an imperfect charter of negative liberties, saying what the federal government can't do to you, but it doesn't say what the federal government can or should do on your behalf.  That is a far cry from the John F. Kennedy inaugural speech, where he asked not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.

Radio talk show host Mark Levin, The Great One, brilliantly states the high stakes involved and our intolerance of feckless republicans who seem all to eager to join the democrats at the spigot of power, placing more value on their positions in the ruling class rather than defending the Constitution. Hear his epic rant, via The Right Scoop, HERE.

This fight is indeed about defending the republic.  Nothing should rate at a higher level of importance as Obama seeks to seize constitutional power from the United States Congress. Through any and every legally permissible action, this encroachment on our system of government by an imperial and tyrannical president must be thwarted.

Brat Threatens DC Business As Usual

Last week, in what appeared to be a stunning upset, Dave Brat, a literal unknown to a group think biased mainstream media, easily defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in their Virgina GOP primary election.
Dave Brat
Brat ran on old school republican principles, which 35 years ago would have been mainstream.  However, in the world we live in today, Brat is considered extreme by the mainstream media and a threat to the daily goings on in Washington by the elite ruling class, that of which, sadly included Rep. Cantor.

Cantor had this loss coming.

He was considered a conservative when he entered Congress with such promise, but over time, not only did he forget about his home district while embracing corporations, business individuals and government engaged in crony capitalism if not crony socialism, he was embracing Obama policies, such as immigration reform, and openly working to punish those in his party deemed members of the Tea Party.
Rep. Eric Cantor
Those Tea Party members, albeit there is no actual party and these are regular citizens against a growing government, are the ones who put Cantor into Congress, and they are the ones who threw him out

In his concession speech, it was clear Cantor had no idea what hit him. Cantor vowed to continue to work hard for working class families, clueless that the infiltration in the marketplace by the government, notably through regulation and taxation, is the main problem working class families, defined here as employed families struggling to make it versus union members as defined by the left, face.

In the race, Brat had very limited capital, and was not given help from national organizations such as Tea Party Patriots and Freedom Works.  While he was endorsed by a pair of radio talk show hosts, Laura Ingaham and Mark Levin, he won this race on the merits the old fashioned way.

Brat based his campaign on six Reaganesque principles, which were the following:

That the free enterprise system is the most productive supplier of human needs and economic justice,

That all individuals are entitled to equal rights, justice, and opportunities and should assume their responsibilities as citizens in a free society,

That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of government,

That the Federal Government must preserve individual liberty by observing Constitutional limitations,

That peace is best preserved through a strong national defense,

That faith in God, as recognized by our Founding Fathers is essential to the moral fiber of the Nation.

Outside of those who lack faith in their lives, who are the folks among our citizenry that do not agree with these founding principles?  I sure do, and I think Brat will challenge what has clearly been a dysfunctional and broken Washington DC.

Many are quite concerned over the Cantor loss, and it may not be who you think it is.  While progressive GOP members come to mind, it is really those over on the corner of Wall and Broad in the caverns of Wall Street with grave concern. Joe Weisenthal over at Business Insider implies Wall Street should be "terrified" and others noted a loss of a friend.

Without question, Brat is a threat to Wall Street, as things currently are up there, as it is not the same as it was 20 years ago, due to infiltration through open market operations and political activism.  As such, many consider it somewhat of a rigged game, and as an investor of over 30 years, I agree.

Brat would welcome capital markets not politically influenced; a true free market system of buyers and sellers, without promised bailouts, too big to fail and a lack of accountability.  Wouldn't we all.

Sen Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R:KY, had proclaimed the Tea Party would be crushed in very election.  Sadly, Matt Bevin failed to take him out, but crushed indeed was Eric Cantor, the first time in history a majority leader has lost in a primary.

Those progressive leaders, who are among the ruling class thinking they know better than the people, which is in contrast to our founding documents, should beware.  We will not win them all, but our voice will be heard loudly, as Sen. Tad Cochran, R:MS, and Cantor found out.

One thing that can be sure; the increasing lack of Constitutional governance in DC are indicative of the future results if the citizenry keeps voting in politicians consumed with power.  Therefore, I welcome election results like we saw the other night in Virginia.

Welcome Dave Brat!

Range of Emotions in The Good Life

As Gary Sharp of Sharp & Benning in the Morning on 1620 The Zone in Omaha accurately summarized, on a day when sports, politics and life came together on a Tuesday in Nebraska, a "full range of emotions" littered the landscape from the Harper-Schramm residence halls on 14th Street in Lincoln up to Leavenworth Street in Omaha.

With voters heading to the polls from Sydney to Bellevue, a puzzling story surfaced involving a pair of University of Nebraska athletes. NU long-distance runner Lucas Keifer and starting linebacker Josh Banderas were arrested and charged with felony theft as evidence appears to indicate they stole approximately seven locked bikes from the UNL campus.

Keifer and Banderas both attended Lincoln Southeast HS.  Banderas is the son of Tom Banderas, an outstanding tight end in the mid eighties for the Big Red.

By all accounts, testified to by Zone co-host Damon Benning, Banderas would be among the last of the football roster to be suspected of such activity.  However, as one of the culprits stated, it was a bonehead move.

No kidding.  If only they had stopped for some crab legs.

Meanwhile, the proclamation of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R:KY, that every Tea Party candidate would be "crushed everywhere" went down in flames.

Ben Sasse, a candidate backed by Tea Party stalwarts such as Sarah Palin, Sen, Ted Cruz, R:TX, Club for Growth, Sen. Mike Lee, R:UT, and Glenn Beck, won going away.  Shane Osborn, no relation to famed Nebraska football coach and politician Dr. Tom Osborne, seemed like a decent candidate, but had some issues with regard to his Navy past and informed the audience of The Glenn Beck Program on radio of his involvement with Grover Norquist of Americans For Tax Reform, whose cozy relationship with Muslim interests give many cause for concern.

While we are at it, Pete Ricketts,  President and Director of Platte Institute for Economic Research, won the GOP primary in a close one over Jon Bruning, who had just lost a Senate race to now Senator Deb Fischer.  Ricketts, son of J. Joseph Ricketts, Founder of Ameritrade and owner of The Chicago Cubs, a fiscal and social conservative, won the endorsement of Sarah Palin.  Ricketts is almost assured of victory in the general, with a substantial lead in recent polling.

So, it was a big win for The Tea Party, much to the dismay of Senator McConnell, who should know better than to mess with Sarah Palin.  The Tea Party victories are just beginning.

Some good folks, who stuck their neck out, lost races but can hold their heads high as we certainly appreciate their participation in the debate.  We listen to voices rather than attempt to quiet them.

Maybe those living The Good Life could have closed this day with some baseball at TD Ameritrade Park, where I am told hamburgers were two for one.  But, this is not a food show.

Sadly, those hopes ended with the wheel of a bus going round and round. The college baseball game with Nebraska facing Creighton scheduled for Tuesday night at TD Ameritrade Park was canceled due to travel issues.  After having their flight canceled after defeating Michigan State in East Lansing, the Big Red baseball team traveled back by bus.  However, they were unable to arrive in Omaha in time for the first pitch.

A fitting closing for a day which encompassed a wide range of emotions; mixing life, politics and sports.  Don't Tread On Me and GBR!

Taking Names

It is amazing that a group of patriots, whose rose up in recent years in the spirit of the those among the founders of this great country, can be so continuously vilified in this day and age as The Tea Party.

Although there is not a person at the head of this movement, at the core of the objectives of those associated represent the founding principles of our nation, which are closely associated with the Constitution, and in particular The Bill of Rights with acknowledgement this is a nation founded on Christian values.

Hard to imagine folks at quarrel with this, but the opposition is significant, and without question, on both sides of the aisle.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, when asked about the races which pit a Tea Party representative versus an establishment GOP candidate, McConnell said "We are going to crush them everywhere".

In an early round of primary action in North Carolina last evening, a Tea Party backed candidate, Greg Brannon, lost in the GOP primary to an establishment Republican named Thom Tillis, who was a favorite of the GOP establishment and supported by Karl Rove's American Crossroads group.  Brannon, a Constitutional Conservative Republican, who was backed by Senators Mike Lee, R:UT, and Rand Paul, R:KY, is an MD and has extensive command of the Constitution.

Again, while Tillis is likely preferable over Sen. Kay Hagan, the Democrat candidate, his positions indicate he favors progressivism, where increasing government control of the citizenry is welcomed.
Certainly, this position does not coincide with the free market individualism mindset of The Tea Party or those from both parties who may be considered libertarian.

In absorption of Sen. McConnell's comment, we gather that the GOP establishment would rather edge closer to the progressive democrats than embrace the Tea Party.  Now, perhaps, one can understand why there has been little success in opposition to the progressive leadership which has presided over the decline of prosperity and liberty of America over the last decade or so.

Sen. McConnell is also facing a challenge from a representative of the Tea Party in candidate Matt Bevin.  Gloating in the victory last night, RNC spokesman Jahan Wilcox tweeted the following:
"Next up is that fraud @MattBevin! #GOP.

Sarah Palin, appropriately, found such action juvenile and not becoming "the establishment".

While the GOP establishment fails to consider Bevin a legitimate candidate, ( a tactic utilized recently by the Obama administration in effort to de-legitimize those Benghazi inquiries ) Bevin is certainly worthy of consideration and a candidate who in fact has my full support in his effort to defeat Sen. McConnell.

Things get ugly in campaigns, there is no doubt.

However, I will scorecard each of the GOP establishment on their actions and not verbalized rhetoric and campaign website commentary on how conservative they are.  On that scorecard, Sen.McConnell fails miserably, and his intent to crush his internal opposition while hardly standing in opposition to the orchestrated wreckage of the Obama administration.

The scorecard I have of establishment GOP players who insult me by attacking candidates sharing my views rather than opposing progressive Democrates with equal vigor is increasing in names.

Among those on the list are Speaker John Boehner, Rep. Eric Cantor, Rep. Peter King, Sen. Mitch McConnell, Sen. Lindsey Graham and, although I certainly respect the heroism and extensive service to our country, Sen. John McCain.

I will campaign for and donate accordingly. Check out MattBevin.com!

Love of the American Dream

This has been a very busy week. Not only are we scrambling around to preserve our standard of living under assault from the Obama administration (yes, we did build it), but along with the excitement of the start of NCAA College Football, the wrap up of the NFL preseason and dodging the latest hurricane, we have the Republican National Convention.

The Grand Old Party event has been interesting for sure. While there have been your usual snoozers, with John McCain and Mitch McConnell peeling paint, there have been some inspirational speeches praising the American dream; the privilege to participate in the great American experiment and chase your dreams.

We got some of what we expected, inclusive of learning (who did not know) that Ann and Mitt Romney are not oblivious to the struggles many Americans face each and every day. Chris Chirstie went large and hammered Obama on the issue of leadership and the failures of big government progressivism.

Comments by Artur Davis, Rand Paul, Condoleezza Rice, Puerto Rico Gov. Luis Fortuño, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and Ohio Gov. John Kasich highlighted that we can adhere to principles and change our path to prosperity. Paul Ryan hit for the cycle in a tremendous speech.

One thing is clear; the GOP bench is very deep.

Perhaps the speech that resonated with me the most came from Mia Love, Mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, a candidate for Congress. She gets it totally, and does not buy the new normal narrative consisting of the central planning of our lives through regulation and entitlements.

Her story is one everyone should hear about, and in eloquent fashion, she gave it to you at the RNC in Tampa town; a mighty fine place to be by the way. If you missed her; please take a listen.

Mia Love is someone who subscribes to the principles of our founding fathers and shares my vision of America and I would thrilled to cast a vote for her. She surely has quite a future. Come on Utah, join Conservatives across America and show your Love4Utah!
