Rockin The Bloat

The Hill columnist John Feehery is an absolute idiot, as he said:

“Listen, I think both Cruz and Trump would have a similar impact on the party, neither of which would be very good. I am actually more concerned about Cruz than I am about Trump,” said GOP strategist John Feehery, a former senior leadership aide who is a columnist for The Hill. Feehery added, “I think Cruz has made a reputation of relentless mendacity ... I think he’s a demagogue and I think he’ll destroy the party. I think Trump is much more of a blowhard. But there’s not really a dime’s worth of difference between Trump and Cruz.”

Actually, Trump and Cruz differ significantly.

Trump is a get things done progressive, who thinks he can utilize his management skills to orchestrate the levers of government to function in a much more efficient and productive manner.  Banking the many relationships he has established in many areas of commerce, Trump visualizes making America great again.

Trump thinks our government is led by a bunch of idiots who fail miserably at getting what those of on the outside would be considered common sense initiatives implemented.  The Donald finds their negotiating skills horrendous, monetary management atrocious and lack of a backbone and ability to advance positive solutions for the nations ills a mind boggling failure. And Trump is not afraid to call them out either.

Americans, not only republicans but democrats and independents, are eating it up.  Trumps position in the polls is not by mistake, is on quite solid ground and appears to be gaining strength.

But there are many pitfalls in the course of action Trump aims to take, as it appears Trump has no plans for a reduction in government activities, just promises much stronger management and effectiveness on the activities he deems warranted. But continued centralized planning and control, a mainstay for progressives, makes for a powerful government highly susceptible to corruption, which is something Trump campaigns against.

Cruz is a Constitutional conservative.

Following the constitution is paramount for Cruz as he seek to bring America back to her founding principles, which are inclusive at their core to individual rights, limited government and Christian values.  Cruz finds the government bloated and oppressive in their ever expanding regulation and taxation, and seeks to limit government influence in the everyday lives of the citizenry, returning the power to the people.

Cruz does not view our current government as idiots at large, rather men who adhere to a differing ideology which borders on anti-american, policies that favor a reduction in the sovereignty of our nation, increasing control over the citizenry by the ruling class and an oppressive government and centralized power increasing in reach from the people.

The reason Cruz ins unpopular with many of his colleagues in the Senate is due to the fact he has called them out as the thieves and liars they are, merchants of a corrupt system of the ruling class they desperately seek to protect.  As president, Cruz would immediately begin work to dismantle these levels of corruption in the halls of Congress.

So it is that one area Mr. Feehery is accurate in is that both men would derail the status-quo, which has the ruling class in GOP establishment quite concerned.  You know, Ronald Reagan labeled the status-quo as Latin for the mess we're in, and boy howdy, are we in a mess.

Donald Trump, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz
With the candidacy of Jeb Bush in ruins, the GOP establishment has turned to Marco Rubio, a candidate they tried to squash as he rose up as a Tea Party candidate challenging the unprincipled Charlie Crist is a senatorial race in Florida.

Now, Rubio is the only hope they have to salvage the big game they are playing in Washington. While not the wildcard Trump or Cruz represents, Rubio is not a sure bet for the establishment either, just preferable to the unthinkable.

But as it stands now, with Trump and Cruz out front, the establishment is very, very nervous.

Meet the ruling class, who consider authoritarian control over the nation appropriate, and as it suits them, engaging in corruption and failing to follow the rule of law with an allowance for what they view as legally permitted. Any candidate that is perceived as a threat to their power will be targeted for ridicule; labeled as extreme and discredited within the media.

While they fear Trump, they are petrified of Ted Cruz, and will make every effort to destroy either or both candidates as polling would dictate.

The long knives are out, including from some unlikely sources, inclusive of usually on point Ron Paul.

If they fail in the efforts of destruction of Trump and Cruz and cannot get Rubio in, many have stated openly about the possibility of a brokered GOP convention or God forbid, consideration of supporting Hillary Clinton.

They wonder how this has happened, but the rise of outsiders, of which both Trump and Cruz would be considered by any analytical measure, is a creation of a themselves, a republican party that has failed, in large measure since Reagan left office, in adhering to the principles of limited government, individual freedom entrepreneurship.

Rather than opposing the socialist democrats, with such limited push back while the government expansively runs roughshod over the citizenry, it would be reasonable to conclude the GOP was complicit and supportive of the transformation of America.

Exit all conservatives and libertarians, in addition to the Reaganite republicans.

Should the ruling class not be toppled in 2016, I am fearful America will continue to promptly drift away from freedom and liberty for all and become a much darker place as Reagan once warned us about.

Trump and Cruz differ significantly, and there is a choice to be made between the progressive Donald Trump, perhaps a version of the Gray Champion depicted in Struass and Howe's 1997 brilliant generational theory masterpiece "The Fourth Turning", or Ted Cruz, who wholeheartedly embraces the Constitution and the principles laid out by our founding fathers.

Either of these two gentlemen, both of whom are certain to crash the status-quo, would be far superior to another administration of ruling class elites who seek global governance, embrace the transformation of wealth and govern against the will of the people.

Our nation is in real trouble and the next administration will have legions of major, unforeseen issues to navigate through. We will need an individual whose feet are firmly planted in principle to guide us through.

Rubio Rising

Marco Rubio
Photo/Getty Images
From the Freedom Tower in Miami, Florida Senator Marco Rubio on Monday announced he will enter the race to seek the republican nomination for president in 2016.

While Rubio possesses a boatload of the attributes most would consider presidential, most thought he would wait a few cycles to get in the race.  However, although the field is expected to be strong, inclusive of mentor Jeb Bush, Rubio concluded the time is now.

Having watched Marco Rubio rise in the Florida House, combined with his most compelling history and appreciation for the risk and reward component of free market capitalism, I strongly supported Rubio as he battled the unprincipled Charlie Crist to become my Senator from Florida.

While Rubio has most impressive in many ways during his senate tenure, his entrance in the immigration debate, an issue for which is recognized Rubio has great passion, joining with the gang of eight to arrive at a bill of compromise that seemingly violated the principles we entrusted him to protect.  I consider this Rubio's choice in this area of legislation one which Rubio will have to fight to overcome, but according to a report, Rubio may have reasoning that could be deemed somewhat credible.

Unlike Hillary Clinton, the presumed Democratic opponent, Rubio is a real person, a family man who embraces the history and traditions of America, from the Constitution to NFL football.  Rubio is a big fan of the Miami Dolphins, with his wife Jeanette a former cheerleader for the Fins.

Rubio should not be discounted. Although Jeb Bush is a very capable and smart guy, perhaps the best of the Bush family, America seems to want to stay out of the Bushes and due to progressive positions inclusive of but not limited to Common Core, conservatives are most weary of Bush as well.  Therefore, Rubio can not only win Florida from Bush, but also the nation.

It seems Rubio will have to beat Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and potentially Scott Walker for the nomination. On the campaign trail, few will be able to match Rubio with his youthful exuberance and passion, high level command of the Constitutional principles our governance should be adhering to and his extremely compelling personal story.  Add in his Cuban heritage, he has the chance to secure a large portion of the minority vote.

Contrary to media assessments and the propaganda released from the Democrats, the GOP is blessed to have three candidates in Cruz, Paul and Rubio to choose from.  I look forward to vigorous and respectful debate from this group, and other potential candidates who step forward, in the upcoming months.

Smoke Out Charlatan Crist

"It seems many good men lose their soul when they become a high powered politician. Seemingly consumed with power, a sadly large contingency of these individuals relegate any previously subscribed to principles to the recycle bin".

That is how a recent post, titled Sorry Charlie, about Charlie Crist, the former GOP Florida governor, who without a significant pivot point, changed course to become the best friend of Barack Obama and Joe Biden and is now running again for governor of Florida as a Democrat, began.

Crist, a charlatan to be sure, is in a battle with current republican governor Rick Scott, who although a mediocre candidate at best, has actually done a pretty fair job in his first term.

This is not lost on Crist, so he has attached himself to a vehicle to help him slip past Scott, a Florida Constitutional Amendment (2) to allow the medical use of marijuana for individuals with debilitating diseases. Pull on the heart strings, but behind the scenes, there is much more than meets the eye.

With Crist removed from public office by having been defeated for the US Senate in Florida by Marco Rubio, Crist went to work for high powered Orlando based attorney John Morgan, a progressive Democrat who has hosted fundraisers at his Winter Park home for Democrats, inclusive of President Obama.

Morgan, whose law firm slogan is For The People, is the leading statewide advocate for the passage of Amendment 2. Morgan was down in Polk County recently and spoke to a crowd of Amendment 2 supporters, where he addressed the crowd.  Take a listen:

Marijuana can indeed help individuals with debilitating diseases, and the avenue for those folks to get the necessary legal drugs to help them should be placed on the fast track.  But, if you take the temperature of the crowd Morgan is addressing, you quickly recognize those folks are not in attendance. These are low information useful idiots, and people I would decline to be associated with.

Those who are in attendance are those who want pot legalized so they can smoke it till their hearts content, seemingly oblivious to the pain and suffering the bill is advertised to be attempting to help.

Reports have Morgan having bought up tracts of land in Florida to have a hand in growing marijuana should the amendment pass.  Although, given his high level advocacy, Morgan should disclose this if true. but otherwise, this is America.  Hope he has connections at the local permitting offices.

Crist is all in with Morgan, who is among the strongest financial backers of the Crist campaign.

Crist tells us Floridians he will wake up every day thinking how he can help the working families of the state.
We don't need or want his help.  We want government out of the way, with their interaction with the public limited.  Crist does not find the citizenry capable of functioning efficiently without him.

Crist once claimed to be a Reagan republican, a champion of limited government.  Now he is a Democrat, where he champions government having a visible and invisible hand in the commerce of the people.

If Crist is in fact a Democrat, and not an opportunist candidate without principle available to the highest bidder, he should look to John F. Kennedy, who asked the citizenry to not seek what the government can do for you, but what you can do for your country.

For me, that is to encourage individual freedom and liberty, something Crist thinks is better dealt out by elected official rather than earned by hard working Americans.

As Thomas Jefferson said, “I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”- “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

Should we continue to elect politicians without principle, like Charlie Crist, we will bring about what Jefferson feared; a democracy which will cease to exist.

RICK SCOTT for Governor of Florida! Lets Keep Working!

Sorry, Charlie

It seems many good men lose their soul when they become a high powered politician.  Seemingly consumed with power, a sadly large contingency of these individuals relegate any previously subscribed to principles to the recycle bin.

In recent years, I cannot think of anyone who fits this description more than  Charlie Crist, former GOP Governor of Florida.  Crist, a former QB at Wake Forest and a fellow alumni of Florida State University, has made the journey from a product of the Reagan Revolution to a big government socialist standing in opposition to free market principles he once championed.

Crist won election as governor of Florida in 2007 campaigning as a Reagan Republican, which helped him form his political principles.  After serving one term, Crist decided to run as a republican for a Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Mel Martinez.  Crist, facing defeat in the primary to now Sen. Marco Rubio, became an independent and lost in the general election to Rubio, whom I supported.

Riding the wave of Barack Obama, Crist, without advancing a noted pivot point, discarded all of those once beloved principles of Ronald Reagan and became a Democrat.  Crist could often be seen on the campaign trail and at political events with Obama, who is a stated opponent of our founding principles.

One would hope, having been completely discredited on principles and values, Crist would retire to private life and cease in efforts to serve our state politically.  However, after joining one of the states largest defense attorney law firms, John Morgan's Morgan and Morgan, Crist has announced he will challenge sitting Governor Rick Scott in the upcoming gubernatorial race.

It is not hard to recognize that we have a large contingency of, as Rush Limbaugh would descibe, low information voters.  Americans are awash, drowning in, as Aldus Huxley projected, a sea of irrelevance.  Even still, you would think enough voters would see Crist for what he has priven himslef to be; a man without principles.

Therefore, Crist will play to the lowest denominator, advancing issues that are without merit, hoping to not only secure the vote of Obamabots and rock solid Progressive Democrats, but the low information crowd as well.

Evidence of this was vibrantly clear last week when Crist revealed his plan for a "First Day of Fairness" should he be elected.  Action on this day, which would seemingly bypass a heavily weighted GOP legislature, would be done by executive order.  Like his new mentor, Crist would have a pen and a phone.

As quoted in an article by Aaron Deslatte, Tallahassee Bureau Chief or The Orlando Sentinel, On his first day back as governor, Charlie Crist says he wants to raise the minimum wage and stop job discrimination against women and gays.

That rhetoric will no doubt get the attention of the low information crowd, and although demonstrably false, be ignored by those predisposed to vote D regardless of a platform based on falsities.

Florida does not discriminate against women and gays ( Unlike Crist, I would have utilized a different word of description rather than gays ).  It is illegal for public and private sector companies and organizations to do so.  In actual fact, in order to be politically correct, many companies welcome the opportunity to hire these folks.

For any company or organization I have ever been involved in, it was a goal to hire the person who best represented the key competencies with the appropriate qualifications and skills to match the job description.

Raising the minimum wage sounds wonderful to those retained on staff, for they will see an increase in pay.  However, the company which employs them will may have to reduce staff to compensate, forcing the employee to potentially increase their workload or hours worked.  Benefits may be reduced as well, given the extra payroll costs the company may incur.

In the marco, raising the minimum wage increases unemployment, as due to increased payroll costs, refrain from adding staff, which is already happening due to several economic influences, from uncertainty to destructive regulatory action such as Dodd-Frank and Obamacare.

We continue to hear that the minimum wage is a living wage; it is not.  An employee should not expect to earn enough to raise a family on minimum wage.  Rather than raise the wage to accommodate incorrect life decisions of these workers, including the lack of education and key competencies which prohibit a worker form securing a better job, the best way to help them is for a growing economy to create additional opportunities for advancement.

Crist knew this at one time, but the principles behind these economic principles, due to the ignorance of the electorate, do not represent the easiest path to elected office.  What works now is claiming to be the representative of the government who is able, ready and willing to help the people, or, steadily increase the entitlements bestowed upon the lower class workers.

Immigration Legislation A Sociopolitical Monster

An immigration bill, derived by yet another dreadful "gang of eight", is on the fast track to becoming law.

As a member of the gang of eight, Florida Senator Marco Rubio is the mouthpiece of the legislation, which is beyond disappointing. I was among the legions of Floridians who enthusiastically supported Rubio's candidacy against Charlie Christ, whose principles were set by changes in wind direction.

Rubio speaks at Orlando Tea Party rally

After a thorough victory, the hope for results matching the rhetoric were high. I have heard Rubio speak personally on many occasions, and he eloquently spoke, from the heart without teleprompter, about the founding principles of our country and conservative answers to the myriad of issues engulfing our nation. His story is most compelling, and he was among those Mitt Romney strongly considered as a running mate in 2012.

AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite
Therefore, it is with extreme disappointment Rubio has violated many of those principles in supporting the immigration legislative efforts. While we recognize our immigration policy, an issue of passion for Rubio, is broken, it should be clear the constituents who elected Rubio did not send him to Washington to join in legislation with Chuck Schumer (D:NY), Dick Durbin (D:IL), Lindsey Graham (R:SC) and John McCain (R:AZ), a good man who has apparently lost his mind.

Many GOP members, apparently inclusive of Rubio, are under the false belief that with these immigrants tied to the Democrats the only hope of ever winning another election is to appease these illegal immigrants by merging minds on the issue with progressives. Rubio's election in Florida, sinking with immigrants, should have been proof of that error in judgement.

Although Rubio insists he is not being set up, from the granstands it looks quite differently.  Rubio is quickly losing credibility among the GOP, and rightfully so.  Dana Rohrabacher, (R:CA) ripped Rubio. “Rubio is so mixed up and so confused. I think he has given up his rightful place to advise any of us in Washington what to do, and he’s given up any right to be trusted by the American people,” he said."

The Senate is formulating a bill on the fast track, which will then head over to the House.  Over there, the House will attempt to redirect the Senate by passing a bill seemingly more in line with common sense American views on the issue.  At this point, the bills will meet in conference committee to be reconciled, as which point a new bill will be finalized and voted upon, one heavily influenced by the left.  There will not be enough opposition for the GOP to stop it, and boom, we have amnesty for tens of millions of illegal immigrants.  Yes, they are illegal immigrants.

Therefore, to prohibit the conference from taking place, it is imperative that nothing passes in the House.  Among those who understand the trojan horse being set up, and working to defeat it, are Louie Gohmert (R:TX), Michele Bachmann (R:MN) and Steve King (R:IA).

This trifecta of republicans astutely recognize that for the progressives, while this is portrayed a humane answer to the immigration issues, the real goal is to crash the system, leaving the majority of the citizenry dependant on government assistance and control, described as a "governing coalition for the long term".  It is Cloward and Piven, and it simply must be defeated on the battlefield of ideas.

Rubio also initially said the border fence would be a precursor to an immigration policy being implemented, but Rubio has since reversed that thought, proclaiming the necessity to get tax revenue from the new legal immigrants to fund the fence.  Legalization first, border security second. Not so fast my friend.

In fact, we already have laws requiring border security that is not being enforced.  Border security, and the right to security, is found in the foruth amendment.  With the government failing to secure the border, they are in violation of the rule of law and our Constitution.  Sadly, the government is picking and choosing which laws they think it prudent to enforce. This type of governance was something our founders warned us about.

There is not a promised path to citizenship for those who are here illegally, and those who are here illegally must retreat through the system legally. The process allowing legal immigrants must be overhauled to expedite the process for those who seek to become citizens and assimilate and become productive members of our communities, not adopting the practices of working the welfare system.

Should this legislation pass, the heavy weight of the increase of entitlements for those new immigrants will lead to socialism and a total collapse of our economic system.  As the great Barry Goldwater once said, "And here we encounter the seeds of government disaster and collapse -- the kind that wrecked ancient Rome and every other civilization that allowed a sociopolitical monster called the welfare state to exist."

The gang of eight are playing games, and the results of this immaturity could jettison our great experiment to the ash heap of history.

Breaking the Boardwalk

There were such high hopes.

I became aware of Chris Christie from his frequent guest appearances on CNBC's Squawk Box and was thrilled when he announced he would run against incumbent New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine. After his tenure with Goldman Sachs, Corzine had run Jersey into the ground, and given both Obama and Biden often sought his economic council, is it any wonder our country is in economic peril. A wonderful opportunity to implement free market principles in a blue state exisited, and Christie was just the guy to take it on.

Christie understands free markets, and has no patience for the unions and their interference in the marketplace.  His tenure as Governor has brought New Jersey new found prosperity, even against the backdrop of the stagnant if not recessionary national economy.

The fever pitch for Christie came as the 2012 presidential approached.  Would Christie get in?  An exemplary speech at the Reagan Library brought a high level of enthusiasm, but Christie threw in behind Mitt Romney and would sit it out.

Since that point, it has been downhill slide for Christie and his relationship with those on the GOP right. Christie spoke at the GOP convention, but rather than explaining why Mitt Romney was the properly experienced person to lead this country, Christie discussed his own successes and fell far short in touting those of Romney.

Then, New Jersey was hit by Hurricane Sandy, and shortly thereafter came a visit by President Obama.  Christie was far too welcoming to our sitting President, whose economic policies were combative to the goals set forth by Christie.  In the days after, Christie praised the leadership of Obama on his commitment for assiting the region, elevating his declining stature among the nations voters.  The compliments for Obama far exceeded what was required, particularly because there was no actual leadership implemented or enacted by Obama.

With much of the hurricane ravaged area still reeling, President Obama returned to attend a ceremony on the Jersey shore as the famed boardwalk re-opened for the summer.  Christie gleefully awaited Obama with open arms, and before the love fest was over, we pondered if Brokeback Boardwalk would become a movie sequel.

Obama, who media elites tell us would likely be playing in the NBA if he were not doing the heavy lifting in Washington, missed in four football tosses in embarrassing fashion.  Have no fear, as a blushing Chris Christie hit the target, winning Obama a stuffed bear a four year old would cherish. Oh, what a day?

Meanwhile, Frank Lautenberg (D), a long sitting New Jersey Senator, passed away the other evening, opening up his seat.  For someone not trying to score political points, the opportunity to appoint a republican to this seat should be promptly taken.

One would have to go back a long way to find a more critical time for the GOP, with our republic practically hanging in the balance.  There is the attack on the second amendment, potential immigration legislation, the train wreck of Obamacare, Islamic terrorism, nuclear weapons and God forbid the potential replacement of a supreme court judge.  While it is only one seat, that one seat can make a huge difference.

So with Christie throwing open the seat, in conjunction with the recent series of actions by the Gov, we can conclude that he is not all that worried about the destruction to the country his new found boyfriend is engaged in.  In fact, odds favor he is a progressive republican with many of the same controlling big government ideas of Obama.

For those who champion liberty and freedom, any opportunity to legally thwart Obama from achieving his goals should be exercised with precision.  With Christie failing to act in this regard, we have learned all we need to know prior to 2016.  Sadly, he is not one of us.

It might be all for naught, as by the time 2016 comes around, Rush Limbaugh would not be surprised if Christie ran as a Democrat.  Maybe former Florida Governor Charlie Christ could be his running mate.

Sunday Night Song

This week, Florida Governor Charlie Crist got the needed votes to issue a posthumous pardon for Jim Morrison, lead singer for The Doors, for an indecent exposure conviction for an incident during a performance in Miami, Florida.

Morrison, who died in 1971, attended Florida State University before moving out to Los Angeles to attend UCLA. While at FSU, Morrison participated in a promotional video for the University.

So, begging your pardon, the Sunday Night Song tonight is Touch Me, from Jim Morrison and The Doors.

Crazy 8 Voting Guide

The November mid term election is fast approaching, and polling evidence suggests a significant victory by the Republicans, as well it should given the calamity caused by the Democratic Congress and the Socialist in Chief.

I have already proclaimed I will not be supporting any Democratic candidates. However, given my vast readership all across the fruited plain, I felt compelled to issue a voters guide, highlighting in no particular order eight individuals that in no way deserve your vote. No need to consult your Magic 8 ball, just read on.

California's Barbara Boxer.

Among the most arrogant moon bat leftists around, Boxer harbors a complete disdain for the US military, as do most on the left. An exchange Boxer had with Brigadier General Micheal Walsh earlier this year should give clear indication that even if you subscribe to her positions, you cannot allow this level of arrogance to have governing power: Please review:

Connecticut's Richard Bluementhal.

Not only did this guy lie repeatedly about his military service before being caught, as AG of Connecticut he launched a government assault on AIG workers, without being able to cite under which law he had the power to act. Again, the lack principles that would allow an acting attorney general to act without understanding his governing authority displays an incompetent official drunk on his power. An interview with Glenn Beck is simply astonishing:

New York's Andrew Cuomo.

I could go on for days about this individual. As NY AG Cuomo felt compelled to act in response to the national housing crisis by spearheading the HVCC Home Code of Conduct, which has destroyed the residential real estate appraisal business. Even CNBC's Jim Cramer sounded the alarm about Cuomo's activities in 2007. That Cuomo got the political establishment behind him on this is mind boggling, since, as outlined by Doug Ross in an outstanding compilation of Cuomo's history titled "The Architect of Ruin", Cuomo was a central player in causing the housing crisis. After reading the piece, no sane individual could cast a ballot for him, no matter how crazy Carl Paladino may or may not be. Curtis Sliwa, in very entertaining fashion, throws Cuomo under the bus. Here is Cuomo and HUD Secretary is his own words detailing his involvement in the sub prime crisis.

Nevada Senator Harry Reid.

Nevada is in dire straits as the housing crisis has decimated the state. Meanwhile, as Senate Majority Leader, Reid has been a vocal supporter and leader of the implementation of the socialistic transformation of America under President Obama. During the Bush Administration, this disgraceful idiot found time to degrade our troops, incorrectly call the surge a failure and throw in the towel in the war in Iraq. In his own words:

New York's Charlie Rangel.

For a guy who helped write the tax code, it seems implausible he forgot to pay taxes on several real estate properties he forgot he owned. I own residential real estate properties and would be in the gray bar hotel if I played that game. In yet another sickening display of arrogance, Rangel thinks the rules do not apply to him and is quite content gaming the system in his favor. As if that is not bad enough, his attitude when confronted on these subjects is not becoming a representative of this country. In his own words:

Massachusetts Democratic Congressman Barney Frank.

Perhaps the individual most responsible for the housing crisis is Barney Frank. As Chairman of the House Banking Committee, Frank oversaw the government sponsored entities Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Continuously over the last decade, Frank publicly championed the accomplishments for Fannie & Freddie repeatedly, all the while they were imploding. Since i think we can conclude Frank is not incompetent, one has to wonder if he and his counterpart, Senator Chris Dodd (D:CT), should be in federal lockup. The scandal ridden Frank must be sent packing. Frank's opponent, Sean Bielat, put out this outstanding ad highlighting the timeline:

Florida's Charlie Crist.

I voted for Charlie Crist, a Republican, for Governor of Florida. Since his election, a troubling trend of trolling for advancement became apparent as he positioned himself aboard the John McCain bandwagon hoping for the VP slot. Crist, behind his enthusiastic support of McCain, helped the Maverick gain a surprising win in Florida, an unfortunate development in the Florida primary. After the victory of Obama, Crist then openly began supporting Obama policies, most notably the stimulus package, and announced his run for the US Senate. Crist, getting crushed by Marco Rubio in the primary, after pledging not to do so, became an independent and has now targeted the Tea Party members as extremist he will stand against. Well, I stand firmly against him. Fortunately, it appears so does the majority of Florida. Upon losing, I expect Crist to take a spot in the Obama administration, where he belongs, at least until the wind turns east.

Florida Congressman Alan Grayson.

I cannot think of a public servant who employs such a disrespectful opinion of, not only his fellow members of Congress, but of his constituency as Grayson. Not only in the course of a campaign, but in everyday action, his rhetoric and decorum is simply disgraceful. Grayson buys into the socialistic policies of Obama and Pelosi, but beyond that, has done nothing but insult those of us here in Central Florida. The first vote I cast on November 2 will be for his opponent, Daniel Webster. Recent news stories indicated the Democratic party has pulled funding from him, declaring his race over. As the Captain said, Can I get an AMEN! Looks like the tenure of Grayson as our Congressman will thankfully die quickly.

Diary of a Wimpy President

Americans are watching with extreme sadness the effects of the ongoing BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately, the Obama administration is treating the spill as a political event and not the economic and environmental catastrophe that it is for America. It is immoral for our government to not treat this spill as an emergency extending every imaginable effort to plug the hole and contain the spill.

There will be time for pointing fingers, but in thinking how our President ran off at the mouth at every opportunity to berate George W. Bush during the response to Hurricane Katrina, his response to this spill as our Commander and Chief is appalling.

Reflect back to Obama running his mouth:

Amongst all the basketball games and concerts, even some of the strongest supporters of the anointed one have called his competence into question, including Peggy Noonan and James Carville.

HT/GatewayPundit

The areas of Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi are already unnecessarily damaged, and Florida is next. What is immediately needed is some leadership, something that is quite obviously lacking with President Obama. Leadership is something America's Mayor knows something about, and he indicates that the response to the spill by Obama has been horrendous. Take a listen:

As the good ole boys often say heading down the backstretch; lead, follow or get out the way! Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal should have sideswiped Obama and gotten busy weeks ago on his strategy, letting the chips fall where they may. Florida Governor Charlie Crist had better urgently get to work as well. Someone needs to display some intelligent leadership immediately. Our President, who is busy engaging in sports, partying, concerts and assisting political partners while the oil just keeps gushing, is seriously lacking in leadership and given his propensity to blame everyone else for the problems, is a wimp.

Entries in many diaries, and/or blogs, will document this disgraceful behavior during a real American crisis. Think folks are pissed now, wait until the economic effect of this , along with all the other moronic economic decisions, becomes apparent in the form a double dip recession.

Rubio Gaining Ground

David Asman of FOX News America's Nightly Scoreboard interviews Florida Republican Senate Candidate Marco Rubio on his recent polling gains in his primary race against Governor Charlie Crist. Take a listen:

Rubio is representative of the true conservative candidate that I think both Florida and America is yearning for. Look no further than the fraud being perpetrated in Washington by President Barack Obama and our big spending Congress to see what America is rejecting. Asman offers that Rubio, who is anti-establishment and a favorite of the tea party members, represents the future. So noted.

An Opportunity Awaits

Up in New York, there is a very interesting Congressional race between a Democrat, an establishment Republican and a conservative Republican. While most of the Republican movers and shakers are supporting the establishment candidate, some voices have risen to support the conservative, Doug Hoffman, including Sarah Palin.

Palin is right on target, as usual, in calling it a "Time of Choosing", reflecting back to a speech by Ronald Reagan. As you may know, we have the same type of thing going on in Florida in a Senatorial race.

Governor Charlie Crist, who is the Republican establishment choice, is facing a true conservative in Marco Rubio. This race has been profiled on this blog before (1,2), but thankfully the race is getting the national exposure it deserves. Rubio joined Rebecca Diamond and the gang on the FOX Business's Happy Hour on Thursday. Take a listen:

We have to break the control the parties have over our electorate and turn the tables on the establishments providing us with candidates that leave us voting for the best of two evils. It is in fact a time of choosing for conservatives, and a critical juncture for the prosperity our country.

Now you know.

The Difference Matters

Florida Governor Charlie Crist showed up on the morning shows today and made some commentary that prompts discussion. Here is Crist on CNN:

Speaking of President Barack Obama and what I will refer to as his transformation of America, Crist offers the following: "What change we got may not necessarily be the change that America wants," Crist continued. "What I mean by that is that every day you get up and the government has taken over some other industry, auto industry or banks or whatever it might be. I think that the change that's coming about is a little too fast, little too furious."

I know it is, and Crist is nothing but accurate in his statement. However, way back about 6 months ago it was Crist with Obama in support of the spendulous plan, which as a Crist supporter I found appalling. This was horrendous economic policy and anyone daring to masquerade as a conservative would have been in strong opposition.

The change that has come and is coming in the Obama administration is not too fast and too furious, it is the wrong policy and should be thwarted and stopped, not slowed down.

This is a prime example of where Crist loses me, and why I will put my support behind Marco Rubio for the US Senate here in Florida. Sorry Charlie, but you don't get it!

Political Crossroad Approaching Fast

With the announcement that US Senator Mel Martinez (R:FL), an Orlandoan and fellow Seminole whose term I view as a solid disappointment, will not seek re-election, a list of candidates on both sides has emerged. It is on the Republican side that a real time for choosing is at hand, as it appears this election will be a microcosm for the entire country.

The Republican battle seems to be between current Florida Governor Charlie Christ and former Speaker of The State House of Representatives Marco Rubio. The debate has begun.

The popularity of Charlie Christ has dropped considerably over the last several months. I have met Christ, voted for him for Governor and generally like him (another fellow Seminole). Like many, I was appalled when he joined with President Obama in supporting the stimulus, or spendulus, package, which has been quite unsuccessful.

In thinking of the unsavory direction the Obama administration is taking the country, and in particular the spending package which Christ supports, the time is now to stand up and separate ourselves from the politicians which do not stand behind a set of core conservative principles. The primary is the place to put forth a candidate that has those principles, which will make you vote for a candidate in the general election rather than choosing the best of two evils.

That candidate in this Senate race is Marco Rubio, who has established a solid record in the State House, inclduing on the very important issue of property rights, and is vigorously against the policies put forth by the Obama administration. I hope you will join me in supporting Rubio in the primary.

If Christ prevails, he will get my support over the list of Democrats currently running. And if I see him up in the University Center at an FSU game, I will respectfully give him a piece of my mind.

Lets get behind Rubio to make sure this does not happen! In my opinion, America is at a very dangerous crossroad. The time for choosing is now!
