Arkansas gave quite the effort and led much of the way, but fell to a power Alabama rushing attack in the end.....Stanford looks quite impressive, and the game versus Oregon this weekend is must see TV......Time for the Red River Rivalry at the Texas State Fair, and apparently the Horns were looking forward to it, letting UCLA punk them in Austin.....Nevada is looking good also, and given Arizona barely beared down enough to beat Cal, the pummelling Nevada gave the Bears is eye opening......Florida played a good game finally, and they needed to as they travel to Tuscaloosa this weekend....Georgia is in freefall, what with a new defensive coordinator and a youthful offense whose best player is suspended, until this week....NC State is sering notice behind a sound defense and quarterback Russell Wilson.....I am happy to see three players returning from various injuries this year:
Robert Girffith III, Baylor
Nate Irving, NC State
Mark Herzlich, Boston College
BC tangles with Notre Dame this weekend; someone has to win....Auburn is moving along, and has an easy schedule, as does Nebraska....We are fixin to find out who is who in the Big Ten, and we may need glasses......More so than any years recently, odds favor FSU-Mia in ACC Title game, but why wait, they collide next weekend in South Florida.
The crowd at Florida State for the Wake Forest game was the smallest in 18 years and the smallest percentage capacity of Doak Campbell since 1976. I was there, and it was embarrassing. Everyone wants to blame the program, but it is the economy, hooked together with two night minimums on most hotels in the area. I keep hearing it is Bowden, or the way he was treated, the average performance of the team or Jimbo Fisher. Miami has few fans, and you can mow your yard in the morning and go to Gainesville from Tampa, Jacksonville and Orlando and get back home at a reasonable hour. No such luck in Tallahassee. I call like I see it, and the culprit is the same DC jackasses that through idiotic economic policy have the Florida unemployment rate at over 11%. I aim to take several out via the ballot on November 2, but will have to wait until 2012 to take out the global wealth transformer in chief at the voting booth.

Under The Shoe of The Congress
I am at a loss to explain how my fellow Central Floridians could have voted into office Alan Grayson.
I have hammered him on many occasions, but aside from his position on the issues, which I am at odds with, he is the most disrespectful public servant towards his colleagues on the other side and more importantly, his constituency.
Certainly, I wlll be eagerly supporting his opponent, Daniel Webster. Not that I am a huge Webster supporter, but I would support Mickey Mouse over Grayson. Minnie as well.
We should all be embarrassed by Grayson, who fails miserably at civil discourse. In addition, we should also demand better, and we will get that when Webster takes the seat November 2. I hope you will help Webster do just that.

Washington Smothering Working America
Painter Jon McNaughton describes his telling painting of Presidents past and how the current administration is thwarting the opportunity of the American workers and entrepreneurs with smothering governmental intervention, regulation and taxation.
Washington is filled with an elitist attitude, full of corruption, governing from a position of arrogance, where those in power are superior intellectually to those of us in flyover country.
Those voices don't speak for the rest of us, and their time is coming. America functions best as a land of opportunity, where free market capitalism is the best path to prosperity.
The restoration takes a big step soon.

Things are rarely as good as you think nor as bad as they seem. One can only hope. Thankfully, I did not make the trip to Norman, but I was surprised at what I saw out of my Seminoles. I figured the offense would score some points, but they looked lost. Christian Ponder looked juvenile. An offensive line, returning a whopping 152 combined starts, threw lookout blocks all day. I knew the defense has issues, but this whole effort was just pitiful. Someone needs to muzzle our cornerbacks talking smack while giving up 20 yard square outs every three plays. One Seminole reserve offensive lookout alerter was yucking it up late on the sideline. Nothing at all was funny with the folks joining me for the broadcast here in lovely downtown Conway. We take our football seriously.

A Cross of Hope and Comfort
As we remember another anniversary of the events of September, 11, 2001, Governor Mike Huckabee took up the story of the ground zero cross on his weekly program, Huckabee, on FOX News Channel. Have a listen:
Upon showing up at ground zero, I immediately noticed the ground zero cross and recognized in my mind what the cross symbolized. I photographed the ground zero cross, with the Cesar Pelli buidlings in the background, and the photo hangs in my office.
Mike Huckabee summarized the ground zero cross quite eloquently in the conclusion of his program, and it is worth your time to hear it.
God Bless America!

A Tour of the US Capitol with David Barton
It is unfortunately apparent that the history of The United States of America is being forgotten, and in many cases, rewritten.
It is our responsibility to re-engage and bring ourselves up to speed, since before we can aim to dictate the course of America going forward, we must understand how we got here.
David Barton is second to none in recounting our history. Do your own research, but do take in this video as Barton leads a group in the Capitol.

South Carolina opened up the 2010 season looking like the Green Bay Packers in pummeling a normally upstart Southern Miss.....Pitt looked average in losing to Utah, who it appeared wanted it more....Several teams struggled mightily in week one, including Florida, who looked awful. If this is what they got, a top 25 ranking is in jeopardy going forward....Oklahoma also struggled, and welcomes Florida State to Norman this week, which could be trouble as FSU looked very good, albeit facing Samford.....East Carolina won what could only be described as an old fashioned barn burner against Tulsa.....Jacksonville State, who nearly upended Florida State in Tallahassee a year ago, did take out Ole Miss in Oxford. Ouch.....Brigham Young took out Washington, who many felt would be a sleeper this year. Maybe the Huskies are good, and so might BYU be.....North Carolina almost came back and dumped LSU, but no. The Heels had no business being in the game with 9 starters suspended for an academic/agent scandal that could leave a long and nasty footprint on the school. Michigan needed a win badly, and got one over UConn in a big way. Notre Dame is next. USC took out Hawaii, but don't thank the defense which got torched giving up 36 points. TCU held serve beating a solid Oregon State team, as did Boise State, who beat Va. Tech in the last minute. Big win for the Broncos, but the Hokies are not among the nations best, at least right now.

Amendment 4 Attacks Property Rights
Amendment 4, also known as the Hometown Democracy Referendum, is a very serious threat to property rights. Excessive governmental regulatory influences on property owners to utilize their property in legal fashion is not only an attack on the property owner, but all consumers.
The Coalition for Property Rights has presented a brief summary on the amendment, and the following video is quite informative.
Please join the Coalition for Property Rights and various other organizations for a Land Rights Rally BBQ cookout. See the following schedule:
The Coalition for Property Rights
An old-fashioned LAND RIGHTS RALLY & BBQ
Friday, September 10th 11:30 - 1:00 p.m.
Sorosis Club, 501 East Livingston Avenue, Orlando
Passage of this amendment would be a very serious blow to the economy of Florida, and would allow government to seize more of your rights, further reducing your liberty our founding fathers fought so hard for.
