Rockin The Bloat

The Hill columnist John Feehery is an absolute idiot, as he said:

“Listen, I think both Cruz and Trump would have a similar impact on the party, neither of which would be very good. I am actually more concerned about Cruz than I am about Trump,” said GOP strategist John Feehery, a former senior leadership aide who is a columnist for The Hill. Feehery added, “I think Cruz has made a reputation of relentless mendacity ... I think he’s a demagogue and I think he’ll destroy the party. I think Trump is much more of a blowhard. But there’s not really a dime’s worth of difference between Trump and Cruz.”

Actually, Trump and Cruz differ significantly.

Trump is a get things done progressive, who thinks he can utilize his management skills to orchestrate the levers of government to function in a much more efficient and productive manner.  Banking the many relationships he has established in many areas of commerce, Trump visualizes making America great again.

Trump thinks our government is led by a bunch of idiots who fail miserably at getting what those of on the outside would be considered common sense initiatives implemented.  The Donald finds their negotiating skills horrendous, monetary management atrocious and lack of a backbone and ability to advance positive solutions for the nations ills a mind boggling failure. And Trump is not afraid to call them out either.

Americans, not only republicans but democrats and independents, are eating it up.  Trumps position in the polls is not by mistake, is on quite solid ground and appears to be gaining strength.

But there are many pitfalls in the course of action Trump aims to take, as it appears Trump has no plans for a reduction in government activities, just promises much stronger management and effectiveness on the activities he deems warranted. But continued centralized planning and control, a mainstay for progressives, makes for a powerful government highly susceptible to corruption, which is something Trump campaigns against.

Cruz is a Constitutional conservative.

Following the constitution is paramount for Cruz as he seek to bring America back to her founding principles, which are inclusive at their core to individual rights, limited government and Christian values.  Cruz finds the government bloated and oppressive in their ever expanding regulation and taxation, and seeks to limit government influence in the everyday lives of the citizenry, returning the power to the people.

Cruz does not view our current government as idiots at large, rather men who adhere to a differing ideology which borders on anti-american, policies that favor a reduction in the sovereignty of our nation, increasing control over the citizenry by the ruling class and an oppressive government and centralized power increasing in reach from the people.

The reason Cruz ins unpopular with many of his colleagues in the Senate is due to the fact he has called them out as the thieves and liars they are, merchants of a corrupt system of the ruling class they desperately seek to protect.  As president, Cruz would immediately begin work to dismantle these levels of corruption in the halls of Congress.

So it is that one area Mr. Feehery is accurate in is that both men would derail the status-quo, which has the ruling class in GOP establishment quite concerned.  You know, Ronald Reagan labeled the status-quo as Latin for the mess we're in, and boy howdy, are we in a mess.

Donald Trump, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz
With the candidacy of Jeb Bush in ruins, the GOP establishment has turned to Marco Rubio, a candidate they tried to squash as he rose up as a Tea Party candidate challenging the unprincipled Charlie Crist is a senatorial race in Florida.

Now, Rubio is the only hope they have to salvage the big game they are playing in Washington. While not the wildcard Trump or Cruz represents, Rubio is not a sure bet for the establishment either, just preferable to the unthinkable.

But as it stands now, with Trump and Cruz out front, the establishment is very, very nervous.

Meet the ruling class, who consider authoritarian control over the nation appropriate, and as it suits them, engaging in corruption and failing to follow the rule of law with an allowance for what they view as legally permitted. Any candidate that is perceived as a threat to their power will be targeted for ridicule; labeled as extreme and discredited within the media.

While they fear Trump, they are petrified of Ted Cruz, and will make every effort to destroy either or both candidates as polling would dictate.

The long knives are out, including from some unlikely sources, inclusive of usually on point Ron Paul.

If they fail in the efforts of destruction of Trump and Cruz and cannot get Rubio in, many have stated openly about the possibility of a brokered GOP convention or God forbid, consideration of supporting Hillary Clinton.

They wonder how this has happened, but the rise of outsiders, of which both Trump and Cruz would be considered by any analytical measure, is a creation of a themselves, a republican party that has failed, in large measure since Reagan left office, in adhering to the principles of limited government, individual freedom entrepreneurship.

Rather than opposing the socialist democrats, with such limited push back while the government expansively runs roughshod over the citizenry, it would be reasonable to conclude the GOP was complicit and supportive of the transformation of America.

Exit all conservatives and libertarians, in addition to the Reaganite republicans.

Should the ruling class not be toppled in 2016, I am fearful America will continue to promptly drift away from freedom and liberty for all and become a much darker place as Reagan once warned us about.

Trump and Cruz differ significantly, and there is a choice to be made between the progressive Donald Trump, perhaps a version of the Gray Champion depicted in Struass and Howe's 1997 brilliant generational theory masterpiece "The Fourth Turning", or Ted Cruz, who wholeheartedly embraces the Constitution and the principles laid out by our founding fathers.

Either of these two gentlemen, both of whom are certain to crash the status-quo, would be far superior to another administration of ruling class elites who seek global governance, embrace the transformation of wealth and govern against the will of the people.

Our nation is in real trouble and the next administration will have legions of major, unforeseen issues to navigate through. We will need an individual whose feet are firmly planted in principle to guide us through.

Crash And Burn

When America is weak, the bad actors around the world are far from the Obama administration described tranquillity, elevating encroachment of territory, breaching of treaties and increasing acts of terrorism.

Without question, America is weak and the world is on fire.

Russian President Vladamir Putin continues to exercise through economic and military action in his desire to invade neighboring countries who broke apart from Russia reestablishing Russia and their impact on the global platform.  Without question, Putin is not to be considered an ally of The United States.

Publicly, Putin and Obama appear to have a very terse relationship.  Perhaps this animosity is based on arrogance, but with Obama having been caught on a "hot-mic' pledging to have more flexibility after the election, which he surprisingly won rather easily, one has to wonder.

Amidst the weakness of the US and the west overall, The conflict between Russian and Ukraine escalated significantly last week when a Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 flight MH 17, traveling at approximately 33,000 feet, was blasted out of the sky by a missile.

President Obama, seemingly unfazed by geopolitical events with significant bearing on worldwide stability, issued commentary failing to be representative of the leader of the free world, but rather that of a simple man embedded with narcissism focused on his own celebrity satisfaction. Get this:

President Obama has openly compared himself to each of our greatest Presidents, but he could learn quite a bit from the only one of those men who held that office during his lifetime; Ronald Reagan.

How would President Reagan have responded to such a barbaric attack?  Well, a South Korean jetliner was shot down by Russian fighter jets in 1983, so we can answer that question.  Megyn Kelly of FOX News "The Kelly File" rolls the tape:

The distinction of leadership of these two men is astonishing; however, Reagan loved America and freedom and had both in his heart when he spoke to the nation.  President Obama seeks to level the playing field for America with the rest of the world, limiting our what he deems as our oppressive presence on the world stage.

Although we presume his political career is soon to conclude, President Obama ran off to continues carry an exhaustive schedule of fundraising.  In addition, photo ops and recreational activities inclusive of yet another round of golf were taken in.

Meanwhile, 298 folks died a needless and horrifying death; but at the hands of whom?

The weaponry needed to pull off striking the airliner at that range is rather sophisticated, with additional expertise needed from individuals on the ground to use the weapon with such accuracy.

The 24 hour mainstream news cycle was all over this one, and it became clear quickly Russia and Putin were considered the culprits, either directly or indirectly by through surrogate fighters on the ground.  The media presented this as factual the airliner was struck by a Russian Buk missile, although evidence continues to be gathered, compromised or stolen.

While most note the Russian separatists have taken the missile launcher back to Russia and those on the ground have confiscated evidence. Obama thinks Ukrainian rebels are prohibiting the investigation, if there is one engaged upon at this time.

However, do we know what we think we know?  Are we, enabled by our propagandist media, jumping to conclusions? Former Congressman Ron Paul thinks so, a result of past government and media distortion and distraction.

We are alerted that the Buk missile, as described on its own Wikipedia page, likely was not the missile system utilized in the attack due to fragmentation warhead, which does not match photographic evidence of the wreckage.

Reports indicated the plane was diverted into that air space.  Why would that be the case, and if that is false, why would the plane be taking that path anyway. There appears to be video evidence of strike, and almost immediately there was a YouTube conversation between the purported superiors of those who fired the missile. Reported facts are really in serious question.

If you really want a conspiracy theory, imagine, with Russia and China reportedly attempting to crash the US dollar, which is understandable given our increasing debt, did US forces act to change world perception of Putin and Russia as a economic world player who cannot be trusted and has militant aspirations.   Consider former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson confirmed the effort of economic terrorism was attempted in 2008.

While it will be interesting to see this all play out, we must be reminded 298 innocent lives were lost.

I suspect Russian ground operatives made the ultimate fuck up, thinking the airliner was a transport plane.  With the plane down, each side is making effort to cast guilt upon the other.  Due to the lack of leadership in Washington, pressure from the west to reign in action over there is futile.

It is worth noting, that while we are considering that the objectives of the Obama administration are similar to ours, we must recall that the election is over and Obama may be demonstrating his flexibility to Putin.  To remake American, you must first unmake America.

Sadly, it likely includes further steps in transforming The United States of America from the leader in freedom and prosperity in the world to simply a rook on the world chess board; deservedly so in the mind of our 44th president.

Perhaps Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 flight MH 17 won't be the only crash and burn victim.

Out With The Bathwater

Last year, FOX Business Network ended their 5 PM show "Happy Hour", for a new show with Gerri Willis, who came over from CNN. The new show is not bad, but I find it much inferior to Happy Hour. Then again, who could compete with Glenn Beck over at FOX?

Now comes word that the entire primetime lineup at FOX Business will get the axe. Not a good move in my estimation.

Freedom Watch with Judge Andrew Napolitano was a very good show. Now, it should be noted this show was in competition with The O'Reilly Factor over on FOX, the top rated cable news show by far. Freedom Watch did need some tweaking, and I was getting very tired of the Judge promoting Ron Paul for President. Overall, however, Napolitano asked intriguing questions of top guests from the political and financial world. This show will be missed, at least by me.

David Asman is very professional and at the top of his game. His current show Power and Money, which evolved from America's Nightly Scoreboard, was very good and often dove into off the mainstream topics, with Agenda 21 being an example. Hannity, over on the flagship FOX, is king of 9PM, but this show worked well and I will miss it as well.

Eric Bolling is outstanding, and his show Follow The Money, had a real chance to overtake On The Record with Greta Van Susteren over on the Flagship. FTM had the big screen here at my humble abode, but the show could have used some tweaking as well. The decisions by the FOX brass to include wacko socialists as nightly panelists on FTM, like the newly hired Sally Kohn and Jehmu Green, hurt. Nobody with a brain has any care about the opinions of these Obama apologists. Anyhow, Bolling is a star and this news is most disappointing. At least Bolling falls back to focusing on The Five over on FOX, a real hit.

Melissa Francis, who jumped off the sinking ship at CNBC to come over to FBN, is slated for a 5PM show, while Gerry Willis will move to 8PM. While Francis is talented, I hope the executives at FBM are not counting on a ratings increase, because it will not be forthcoming with these moves.

Lori Rothman and Charles Payne

If FBN, is going a different direction, they should immediately launch a financial show hosted by grossly under utilized Charles Payne, and a crossover show with the lovely Kimberly Guilfoyle. Business babes Tracy Byrnes and Lori Rothman are also under utilized, but what do I know?

I know I will miss each of these programs and do not have any excitement about the changes.

The Howling Winds

There are GOP front runners, and then there is Mitt Romney. GOP challengers to Romney have risen and fallen, but Romney, who looks the presidential part, has remained steady as she goes hanging around 25%.

At the end of the day, it appears none of the GOP challengers can overtake Romney. Mitt has a long list of endorsers, including Bob Dole, Dan Quayle, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and most notably, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Newt Gingrich has a few endorsements of his own, including former OU quarterback and Oklahoma Congressman J. C. Watts and Thomas Sowell, of the Hoover Institution, who I admire greatly.

While all these endorsements are wonderful, Romney does not represent the Conservative most Republicans are clamoring for. Romneycare is an albatross, and his belief of man to be participatory in the greatest hoax of all time known as global warming signals big government inclinations all over the place.

Kathleen Parker, a fellow graduate of Florida State University who I rarely agree with, wrote recently in her Washington Post Column that if the GOP does not support Mitt Romney, it is a death wish.

There is a lot to like about Romney, and he likely is the best chance among those currently running to defeat Obama, or so the pundits say. But looking the best among this group is not a life changing experience, and many in the GOP have doubts and are looking over their backs, which is why the winds are howling.

On the heels of a wonderful column by Jeb Bush in the Wall Street Journal today, our friend and WSJ Editorial Board member Steve Moore is out championing a potential entrance of Jeb into the race. While I do not view Jeb as a conservative, he was a very good Governor for eight years here in Florida, and as my friend Van Bo points out, the I-4 corridor will once again be pivotal in deciding Florida, and thus, the nation. With musings about Condi Rice as a VP candidate, a Bush-Rice ticket could do quite well.

Sarah Palin said last night it is not too late to jump in, leaving many to question whether she is reconsidering her status. I am all for it, but not sure she can get enough in the middle to defeat Obama due to the merciless beating she has taken from the biased media. Then again, few thought Reagan could defeat Carter in 1979 at this point in the process.

Is there another candidate rethinking the issue? Paul Ryan? Donald Trump? Mike Huckabee? Who knows.

Should upstart Texas Congressman Ron Paul, who is quite sound on economic issues but as naive as they come on foreign policy, win Iowa, those winds could turn into a hurricane.

There is a long way to go, and not one vote has been cast. Untold events could be on the horizon.

Not withstanding today's strong rally on Wall Street, the Euro crisis is not fixed and could negatively pressure the markets in a lengthy ten minutes. In fact, with the S&P 500 recently breaking its 50 day moving average to the downside, some technical analysts fear the trend is negative. Bank of America's Mary Ann Bartels sees a potential level as low as 935 on the S&P, some 30% below current levels. Throw in a Euro collapse, and free fall comes to mind.

Turmoil in the middle east is another major issue, as is the uncertainty surround the North Korea government in the aftermath of Kim Jug Ill's death.

Certainly, the situation is fluid, and regardless of what the pundits say, Iowa is still wide open. One can only hope a Conservative with firm footing in the first principles finishes strong. If not, those winds will really start howling.

The Road to Recovery

The GOP field of candidates has been put under green to begin the process of finding the candidate to defeat the the anti-American tyrant who is presiding under the unparalleled decline of our nation.

I have been asked for some thoughts on the field, so much like the folks over at Political Derby, I'll handicap the field in order of my preference, not who I think will be the nominee or who would be able to win.

Contrary to the mainstream media, this is a strong field and each of the candidates would be far superior to Obama. So would Foghorn Leghorn, Heath Barkley or Jim Rockford.

1. Michele Bachmann--- Unlike Obama, she would lead from the front, not the rear. Bachmann is former federal tax attorney, real estate investor and Congressional leader of the Tea Party. Bachmann is a friend to free markets and well recognizes the motives of Obama's oppression.

2. Rick Santorum---Santorum got trounced in his home state by speaking the truth nobody wanted to hear. Santorum is clear about the threat of Islamic terrorism and is sound across the board.

3. Herman Cain---A strong business background without having held public office is a major plus given the antics we commonly see in DC. The former Godfathers Pizza CEO's line of attack in solving our nations lengthy issues resonates, and his experience at the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank under Thomas Hoening cover the ever so important financial angle.

4. Mitt Romney---The establishment choice, Romney should really have won in 2008. Few can match his business experience, and the former governor knows how to govern. There is lot to like with Romney, and he can no doubt win if he gets there. He does have big issues, however, with respect to Romenycare and global warming.

5. Tim Pawlenty---Pawlenty is nothing if not solid. He well could be the last guy standing and has demonstrated his ability to govern and make measureable progress in a blue state. Pawlenty also has global warming issues, and a flirtation with some Sharia law tolerance.

6. Newt Gingrich---Newt is well described as an idea factory and knows government better than most. For all his intelligence, he departs often from the Reagan principles he claims to hold dear. Attacking the Ryan Roadmap and supporting a progressive lefty in NY 23 come to mind, not to mention a global warming commercial with Nancy Pelosi.

7. Ron Paul---While everyone was snickering at him in 2008, he turned out to be correct on a slew of items. Paul has the FED figured out, and is a leading mouthpiece on the damage monetizing the debt is doing to our country. Paul is outside the box on many other issues, relegating him to remaining a horse fly on the back of overspending progressives on both side of the isle.

Sarah Palin seems content to sit 2012 out, comfortable in hammering Obama at very turn. Rick Perry looks like he is about to jump in, and although he tends to govern left of his campaign rhetoric, he has the border issue in his back pocket to hammer Obama on. If in, both would immediately contend with Bachmann for the top spot.

Jon Huntsman jumped in Tuesday, announcing from New Jersey with the backdrop of the Statue of Liberty in similar fashion to when Reagan announced in 1980. Hunstman once called Obama a remarkable leader. Thank you for coming.

The media loves Huntsman, thus informing the GOP of who to pick to lose in 2012. Huntsman also declared he will pick up where John McCain left off in defeat in conducting a civil campaign.

In his brilliance, Rush Limbaugh spent much of the day Tuesday hammering Huntsman, and much of the other GOP candidates, for listening to consultants who think it would be damaging to attack Obama personally, only his policies. For all those who think this is Reaganesque, Limbaugh took us back to 1980 to hear Reagan blast Jimmy Carter.

America hangs in the balance. Grab the Reagan playbook and run with it and make Obama a one term President. Hit Barack Obama square in the jaw from every unguarded agnle, from his associations to his treatment of our allies to his utter failure in economic principles to his arrogance in operating outside the Congress. In fact, just quote Reagan and replace Carter with Obama and go with throttle up! The time is now. Right now!

West Swinging Big Stick

Florida Congressman Allen West recently visited with FOX News Greta Van Susteren on her show "On The Record" and spoke the truth in calling out the Thug in Chief, President Obama. Take a listen:

In my estimation, West is right on target in his assessment of President Obama. A low level socialist agitator indeed! I appreciate West speaking out, and I wonder why many of the potential GOP candidates are refraining form doing so.

The President continuously dodges the truth, uses Sal Alinsky concepts in his treatment of those in opposition to him and takes actions which are in contrast to his public statements. He is simply disgraceful, and should be soundly defeated in the 2012 campaign.

Speaking of 2012, a recent Gallup poll indicated a tie among potential GOP contenders between Mike Huckabee and Donald Trump.

Mike Huckabee, 16
Donald Trump, 16
Mitt Romney, 13
Sarah Palin, 10
Ron Paul, 6
Newt Gingrich, 6
Michele Bachmann, 4
Mitch Daniels, 3
Tim Pawlenty, 3
Rick Santorum, 2
Haley Barbour, 2
Jon Huntsman, 1
Gary Johnson
Herman Cain

Charles Krauthammer has weighed in on 2012 as well, and I share his holding of Paul Ryan in high regard.

Among these contenders, for me, at this juncture, I'll throw Palin, Bachmann and Santorum in my "A" group. I think Allen West joins fellow Floridian Marco Rubio on the list of future stars on the political horizon. West is not playing games, rather focusing on the truth, which has no agenda. This is the type of individual I hope emerges victorious politically.
