Driven Out

Football, Food and Family.

Sadly, while we celebrate during this time of Thanksgiving, we must watch the other hand as the encroachment of liberty engaged upon by our President continues. Exhibit A for this weekend has emerged.

President Barack Obama
The Daily Caller reports the EPA is preparing to unleash a deluge of new regulations.  No doubt, these regulatory actions are engaged upon under the accepted premise that Global Warming, or climate change, exists and is a significant threat to the existence of mankind.

At BAHL Revere, we reject the premise.

These actions, masked under global climate change and spearheaded by United Nations mandates, are part of a plan for the transformation of wealth on a global scale.

In addition, these regulatory actions place controls upon private and personal property; and therefore, the citizenry.  Costs of everyday activity will increase, curtailing economic prosperity.  The ripple effect of these regulatory actions is standard economic theory which many of our readers learned in high school.

It is imperative that the media driven propaganda on this and similar subjects be driven out, and common sense truths be recognized.

Please pass the word to your friends and neighbors!

Clock of the Heart

Last night,  I reported a major shark jump on the evening. It is not even Thanksgiving, and yet Rudolph is courting Clarice on CBS television. Good Grief!

The rush of engaging in the Christmas shopping season seems to have overtaken the real meaning behind each of the three holidays during this time period, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.

Thanksgiving was created by George Washington to give thanks to our creator, God, for the blessings we have received.  Christmas, of course, celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, as our Father gave his only Son to forgive us for our sins.  New Years represents a new beginning, an opportunity to redirect and eliminate the branches of evil that prohibit us from reaching our full potential.

We should give proper credence to the holiday of Thanksgiving, so important that the indispensable man George Washington thought it worthy of recognition. Thomas Jefferson found it so meaningful it required annual recognition, which is why our nation celebrates this day annually.

After we give thanks for the blessings we have been granted, we can move on to the celebration of Christmas and then seek the opportunity to reach redemption and make the new year better than the previous one.

As a capitalist, I hope everyone can enjoy the shopping for gifts till your hearts content, but please remember the reason for the season and recognize the blessings and opportunities we have been given.

In closing, a memo to the national television networks.  Please give paramount consideration to the chronological order of these holidays, for this is a tradition we are not in favor of changing, even if it is the wish of our current First Lady.

Orchestrated and Historic Mistake

Watch the other hand.

While we were all contemplating putting up the Christmas decorations and watching football over the weekend, our Commander in Deceit, hard at work in transforming not only the wealth of our nation, but its sovereignty as well, secured a deal with Iran to seemingly restrict their effort in obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Surely, the administration is patting themselves all over the back for a job well done, inclusive of the ill-informed David Ignatius, but few outside of Obamabot nation are enthused.  Several Democrats have voiced opposition, and while it is hard to decipher some GOP progressives from the overwhelming progressive element of the formerly sane Democratic party, all GOP members appear opposed.

Teresa Monroe-Hamilton, over on her truly outstanding blog The Noisy Room, posts an essay from Arlene from Israel expressing her feelings, shared by most, of betrayal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu labels the "historical agreement" a historical mistake, and in our opinion, that would be gently described analysis. Among those voicing alarming displeasure are Mark Levin and Ralph Peters.

Former US UN Ambassador John Bolton, not pleased, discussed the agreement with Megyn Kelley of FOX News.  Take a listen:

Many contemplate this action was a wagging the dog event, as Investors Business Deily noted "It takes something big to distract the nation from ObamaCare, the IRS scandal, Benghazi, and the Census Bureau moonlighting as Obama campaign aides — like a pact getting Islamofascist Iran to give up its nuclear program."

Over on the outstanding editorial page at Investors Business Daily, two pieces note the level of appeasement rivals few while Iran, who labels the United States as The Great Satan, is untrustworthy at best. If this action was only Neville Chamberlain style naivete.  It is not, but rather orchestrated action.

Although we have questioned for some time which side the administration is on, there can be little doubt this move is a brazen act once again embracing our enemies while punching our allies in the face.  It should be noted, Iran is the head of snake of terrorism, an architect of sponsored acts while supporting our enemies with weaponry and cash.

We noted, while eagerly ushering chaos in the middle east, Obama failed to act in any way against the Iran regime during the uprising by the Iranian citizens a few years back.  Actions speak louder than words, and Obama acts as though he is supportive of Iranian actions on the world stage.  In addition, it should be noted he may be influenced by his top advisor Valerie Jarrett, who has extensive ties to Iran through her family.

A libertarian line of thinking might conclude that Iran should be able to obtain nuclear weapons like any other nation, but that is the mindset that eliminates complete libertarianism from being a significant player on the political landscape.

Iran, as previously mentioned, is the head of the snake of terrorism.  There actions on the world stage, of antagonistic rhetoric, continued violations human rights, sponsoring and engaging in terrorism and the continued defiance of international protocol identifies them as bad actors who cannot be trusted with any level of civility and responsibility demanded by those who would possess nuclear weaponry.

Although those sane in the world recognize this, President Obama, sees the playing field differently. As usual, Obama is wrong, but more alarmingly, these actions call into question, yet again, which side he is actually on.  Actions demonstrate his uniform is not red, white and blue.

VOTES:  Texas, Ole Miss, Georgia, Nebraska, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Washington, Arizona, East Carolina, Vanderbilt and Miami.

NATIONAL ANALYSIS:

The Florida Gators, who have suffered extensive injuries during 2013, were resigned the season was lost and were looking forward to regrouping with hopes of a much better season next fall.  Coach Will Muschamp was recently given a 100% vote of confidence from University officials; however, this was before the absolute debacle which took place on Saturday at Florida Field.  The once mighty Gators fell to Georgia Southern 26-20, displaying a new level of ineptitude on both sides of the ball.  GSU, 7-4 and not the stellar team of past years under Erk Russell and Paul Johnson, never threw a pass and ran for well over 400 yards against a Gator defense one would suspect had stopping the run as a priority. There is a glaring lack of playmakers on offense, and the defense seems undisciplined. The metric for Muschamp has dramatically changed, as this type of loss is unacceptable at The University of Florida, with unrivaled resources including a cash heavy booster base. Absorbing this kind of defeat does not bode well in the locker room, and with high flying and undefeated Florida State coming to town, the thought of tens of thousands of Seminoles frolicking around in a half empty Swamp reveling in a dominant victory sends shiver down the spine of the Gator nation.  I suspect the loss to Georgia Southern will be too much for Muschamp to overcome, but when contemplating what coaches may be available, the life of Muschamp at UF may be extended, as a potential list does not present an obvious choice ready to come.  If a change is made, if I were them I would target James Franklin of Vanderbilt.

Ohio State was won 23 in a row, but has not played top level competition, with remaining games against the weakest Michigan team in moons and an upstart Michigan State, which should be challenging.....With all the coaches on the hot seat, I don't hear anything about Brady Hoke at Michigan, and I wonder why considering the major disappointment the Wolverines have been since his arrival....UCF continues to roll on, thumping Rutgers, but Cincinnati is playing very well in the AAC....Duke controls their destiny in the ACC Coastal, needing only to beat UNC, who scored 80 this past weekend......Andre Williams and Boston College have really been playing well, winning at Maryland and are going bowling....LSU overpowered Johnny Football and the Texas Aggies in Death Valley......An awful season for Georgia got worse last night as signal caller and fourth year senior Aaron Murray of Tampa Plant HS, blew out his knee.  Murray, who could have gone pro after his junior season, deserved so much better, but he is no doubt someone the Dawg nation can be awful proud of....Michigan State dominated a reeling Northwestern team, who came into 2013 with high hopes....Cincinnati is playing well, and disposed of Houston...OU got needed win at K-State and Iowa dumped Michigan in Iowa City.....East Carolina pounded NC State...Georgia Tech may have hope against the Dawgs with Murray out...Notre Dame got by a decent BYU team...Wisconsin clamped down on a decent Minnesota team...Arizona ran wild and crushed former BCS darling Oregon, once again illuminating line of scrimmage issues for the Ducks....Wazzu is bowl eligible in spanking Utah....Stanford crushed Cal in the Big Game....Arizona State jumped all over UCLA and held on late for a huge win for the Sun Devils.....Mizzou looked good in beating Ole Miss in Oxford...Vandy made it three in a row over Tennessee, winning at Knoxville.....Okie State crushed undefeated Baylor with seeming ease....Washington is the best 7-4 team out there, pummeling Oregon State....Boise State lost to San Diego State, and at 7-4 has had worst season in moons.

FLORIDA STATE ANALYSIS

First, the saga surround the accusation of sexual assault looming around FSU quarterback Jameis Winston continues to be a hot topic in college football. Allegations are distractions. At this point, Jameis Winston is guilty of nothing. Should the evidence lead to Winston being charged, the metric changes completely. If a charge happens, the State of Florida will let a jury of our peers decide the case. Until then, while for the time being this country continues to follow the rule of law, Winston is innocent until proven guilty. Seminoles, along with the greater majority of most Americans, strongly support justice, and are steadfast in our respect for the rule of law. The evidence will dictate.

Florida State welcomed a poor Idaho team to Tallahassee and although not playing with the sharpest of focus, the Seminoles dominated by scoring a program high 80 points en route to an 80-14 victory. The Vandals must be given some credit as they did not show up to lay down, offering s strong performance for their talent level.  Florida State was effective in every fashion offensively, and dominated up front defensively as one would suspect.  Many young players got prime playing time, with linebacker EJ Levenberry perhaps making the most of it, tipping, then intercepting a pass which he returned 76 yards for a touchdown.  This day was much about honoring the seniors who helped bring this program back to a level of competing for national championships.  LaMarcus Joyner, Telvin Smith, Christian Jones, Kenny Shaw of Orlando Dr. Phillips, Byron Stork, who has one of the few Bowden recruits still on the team, Chad Abram, Demonte McCallister, Jacobbi McDaniel, Dan Hicks and Terrance Brooks are notable.  Florida State travels down to hogtown on Saturday to take on a sinking ship identified as the Florida Gators, who dropped a home game to Georgia Southern on Saturday. This is a fierce rivalry, but odds strongly favor the Seminoles, who have scored at least 40 points in each game, are set to put some kind of whippin on the boys in orange and blue.

NEBRASKA ANALYSIS

Nebraska overcame a series of mind boggling mistakes to defeat Penn State at Happy Valley in overtime 23-20.  Say this about the Huskers; they fight to end, which is a signal they support the coaching staff and will battle to the end for them.  This bodes well as all indications are there are questions from the administration on whether Bo Pelini should continue as head coach.  Steve Sipple of the Lincoln Journal Star weighs in, and not withstanding a home loss to Iowa, I agree with him.  A home loss to Iowa would perhaps change the metric for me, as I have exhausted my allotment for losses to inferior teams, particularly at home.  I do not expect to lose this game, however.  Tommy Amstrong was not effective and was replaced, perhaps as some have said, due to an ankle.  Ron Kellogg came in and had his moments, leading the team to victory. While neither of these two are Taylor Martinez, they are effective most times in their own way.  Having a stellar tailback in Ameer Abdullah certainly helps, although both Kellogg and Abdullah both fumbled away the ball at inopportune times, breaking the most fundamental practice in the game of protect the football.  Nebraska appeared to sezie control, but Penn State got a score which seemed to turn the tide, but Kenny Bell returned the following kickoff 100 yards and gave the Huskers the opportunity to regain authority.  Abdullah seemed to break the game open on a 62 yards TD sprint, only to have a ridiculous penalty negate the score.  This call was one of the worst I have seen, bringing back painful memories of a horrendous and crucial call on this field back in 1982.  Nebraska, with a patchwork offensive line which deserves a ton of credit, scored anyhow and after Penn State missed an overtime field goal attempt wide right, Pat Smith of Nebraska, after the seemingly common false start back the Big Red up five yards to increase the degree of difficulty, nailed the winning kick.  A gut check win on the road against a tough Penn State team was huge for the Nebraska, and the seemingly embattled coaching staff.  There is no room for error with Iowa visiting on Friday; this is a must win game for Pelini.  Should Nebraska get that done, a bowl victory could springboard the platform for a great season in 2014. The defense is really emerging, with Randy Gregory a future All America.  If Abdullah returns, and I have not heard anything to suggest he won't, the makings of an outstanding offensive unit are in place.  I am all N.  Go Big Red!

High Treason

JFK/Photo/NASA
On this day, 50 years ago, innocence was lost as President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on a beautiful sunsplahsed afternoon. The nation was left in mourning.

Kennedy, a Democrat, was an inspirational president, perhaps best know for spearheading landing a man on the moon.  His handling of the Bay of Pigs, although described as far superior to reality in the aftermath of his death, was no doubt positive and significant.

Kennedy has been made into a martyr following his assassination, from the accomplishment of his presidency to the presentation of Camelot, which was a vision put forth by Jacqueline Kennedy and Arthur Schlesinger following Kennedy's death.

The left holds Kennedy in the highest regard; however, he would likely be a Tea Party member were he fully engaged in the politics of this day.  Kennedy challenged innovation, frowned upon entitlements, championed tax cuts and advocated personal responsibility and economic growth.

Ronald Reagan frequently quoted John F. Kennedy, relishing in the thought of how much distaste it brought the Democrats.  But, the facts reveal that Kennedy would be a GOP member today.  I recently spoke with an Obama supporter within my family and asked how they could support both so strongly when they had such opposing beliefs, only to learn this individual now claims little to no support of JFK.

The assassination has been, from day one, a conspiracy upon the American public. The Warren Commission, a bipartisan study of the events culminating in that dreadful Dallas day, has been largely discredited.

Photo/Walt Sisco
I was negative one on this day, but like millions of others, the significance of the events in Dealey Plaza are forever embedded in my memory.

It seems no event is American history has been the source of more conspiracy theories than the Kennedy assassination, and with apologies to Area 51, rightfully so in my estimation.  Many hold firm on the findings of The Warren Commission, but I have never thought it correct.

The assassination, perhaps due to the mystery clouding the events, has always commanded my attention.  Although I have never visited Dealey Plaza, (with FSU playing Oklahoma State in Dallas to kickoff the 2014 college football season that is likely to change) I have always though a second gunman existed on the grassy knoll.

Although areas incorrect were noted in Oliver Stone's film JFK, I found it most intriguing.  Who was on the grassy knoll?  Why was Richard Nixon in Dallas on that day?  Did Lyndon Johnson play an evil role?  Questions continue to abound.

I found one of the most complete assortment of the events was found in the book titled "High Treason" by Robert Groden and Harrison E. Livingstone.

Certainly, Lee Harvey Oswald, a communist, did shoot President Kennedy, but I find it highly likely others were involved, inclusive of a second shooter.  As popular as Kennedy was, he had many enemies, many thought to have plenty of motive for such a drastic endeavour.  Sadly, the left; however, evidence to the contrary not withstanding, continues to place blame on the right.

We may never know the entire course of events and motivation of this tragic day in Dallas, a day our nation lost its innocence.  What we do know, and have known for centuries, is violence is not the answer to issues that plague our nation.   Only as a last resort, after all legal intellectual engagement has failed, would such action be considered appropriate.

The actions on November 22, 1963, did not meet such criteria, and therefore, high treason was committed.

Having Traveled Through These Gates

I had the occasion to attend a local showing of this wonderful documentary film about "what it means to be a Cornhusker, because being a 'Husker is bigger than football."

For many of us, this hits home. Growing up, it was my dream to play football for the University of Nebraska, a dream I failed to make materialize.  However, my passion for the Big Red has never wavered, although I am now also a Florida State Seminole, my Alma mater.

Beyond the deep rooted tradition, there is simply much more about those who form the fabric of the Husker Nation.

Please see the official trailer for "Through These Gates".

Directed and Produced by Ryan Tweedy, this outstanding documentary travels through the life of typical Cornhusker fans who express how meaningful life in the red is as a base of moral compass for those who embrace the passion for the Big Red.

Outside Memorial Stadium in Lincoln above an entrance reads "Through These Gates Pass The Greatest Fans in College Football".  This film "gives glimpse into the world of the Cornhuskers examining true sportsmanship, genuine community and unconditional love" in splendid fashion.

Courage; Generosity; Fairness; Honor; In these are the true awards of manly sport.  Indeed, There Is No Place Like Nebraska!

The Blessing of Life

With violence erupting around the world and economic conditions causing pain to many here in America, we can always appreciate those heart warming stories presented to us.

In the sphere of athletics is where I come into contact with many of these stories.  Almost every week, Tom Renaldi of ESPN College Gameday has a tremendous essay involving someone associated with The Color & Pageantry of college football.

Who can forget the tear jerking experience had by young Jack Hoffman at the spring game at The University of Nebraska.  Hoffman, with pediatric brain cancer, was allowed on the field on that day to run for a score, touching anyone with a heartbeat.  Hoffman became a star, and even won an ESPN ESPY Award, and is the face of the Team Jack Foundation.

Florida State University has a couple of such stories making the rounds this week.

Coach Jimbo Fisher and his wife Candi were guest on FOX & Friends on Tuesday morning discussing their Kidz1st Fund, which they created to battle Fanconi Anemia, which Coach Fisher's son Ethan has.  Upon learning of the diagnosis, the Fisher's decided to appropriately utilize their position to help bring awareness to Fanconi Anemia, and they report strides are being made.

Another story making the rounds in Seminole nation is that of Peyton Poulin.  Former Seminole Club of Greater Orlando president Fred More recounts a story:

Six years ago Payton Poulin was the guest of Sherri Holstrum, his art teacher, at the spring banquet of the Seminole Club of Greater Orlando.  As a friend of Sherri and past president of the Seminole Club of Greater Orlando, I had the honor of introducing Payton to Bobby Bowden, then, of introducing Payton to the 300 plus Seminole Boosters in attendance.

Following the telling of this very moving story, Rob Sahlin and Bill Neal, on cue, lifted Payton and his Seminole bedecked wheel chair into the air, all the while Payton giving the Seminole Chop a heavy dose of lifelong devotion and enthusiasm.  Coach Bowden led the standing ovation, while a number of us tried to hold back the tears of shear admiration.

For the rest of this amazing story, please see the following video presented by Tomahawk Nation:

We are all God's Children, wonderful in the eyes of our Lord, and every day is a blessing.

Tentacles of Deceit

For anyone that knows SAT is a Scholastic Aptitude Test, it is clear the Obama administration, which has been based upon deception and diversion, has been lying to the American people with stunning arrogance on a myriad of subjects.

This week, the nation continues to reel from the deception surrounding Obamacare. Late last night in a breaking story, we learned that just prior to the 2012 election, the unemployment numbers were manipulated, or to be blunt, falsified.

Perhaps the biggest lie was involving the events which took the loves of four American Patriots in Benghazi. Many have forgotten, as the administration worked diligently to keep the facts hidden. Thankfully, there are many who continue to seek answers and aim to hold the administration accountable.

Michael Ramirez of Investors Business Daily has not forgotten, nor have we.

Micheal Ramirez/Investors Business Daily
Maintsream media outlets are reporting that recent issues have cast a cloud on the credibility of our president. Submitted for your review in a previous blogpost, liars lack credibility, and sadly, President Obama lost that with us almost from the get go, if he ever had any.

America is in peril.  An increasingly trivial culture preoccupied with political correctness and passivity, we have allowed individuals without principles, who lack a moral compass and a respect for the rule of law, to attain positions of governance over our citizenry.

This most troubling development will lead to a dark future of oppression if not thwarted in short order.  For the sake of future generations, we all must do our part to reclaim America from those who seek to alter the visions of our Founders and the faith based principles that guided them all.

OUT: Texas (20) and Georgia (25)

VOTES: Mississippi, Georgia, Washington, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Miami and Texas.

NATIONAL ANALYSIS: Washington played well at UCLA, even after losing quarterback Keith Price, but could not overcome UCLA and new two way star Myles Jack.....Alabama did not play particularly well but still smothered nemesis Mississippi State...UCF needed a one handed catch for the ages in climbing back into the game at Temple to beat the Owls late....OU, tied at the half, woke up and pounded Iowa State....Wisconsin is beginning to dominate...Duke controls their own destiny in the ACC Coastal after pounding Miami in surprising fashion...Va Tech fell at home to Maryland, having their worst season in many a moon....BC seems to have gotten rolling behind talented back Andre Williams...Wazzu got a big win over Arizona....Oklahoma State pounded Texas at Austin....Florida rose up to challenge South Carolina, but fell late.....USC got Stanford at the Coliseum, and one wonders if Ed Orgeron can keep that gig?.....Baylor, scared early, came back to pound Texas Tech.... Arizona State keeps rolling on.....Ohio State bombed Illinois, but gave up an alarming 35 points, costing the Buckeyes a spot in some polling...Michigan got Northwestern in three overtimes......Kansas upset West Virginia, their first Big XII win in years....Clemson rolled GT, hopes for BCS bid but will need to beat Gamecocks on the road.

Georgia came back from a 20 point deficit to appear on the verge of beating Auburn on plain, and with Auburn facing 4th down and forever, the celebration was set to begin.  Then, this happened:

Now, referred to as The Prayer at Jordan Hare, this is among many Hail Mary plays that have worked this year.  In the deep south, this game being the oldest rivalry in the SEC, the loss is as bitter as the win is sweet.  Bulldog nation is now in therapy.

NEBRASKA ANALYSIS:

I had written that I had a high degree of confidence that Nebraska would be able to move the football against the vaunted Michigan State defense and would win the home game with the Spartans.  That prediction was based on the turnover margin being somewhat equal.  No such luck as Nebraska turned the ball over 5 times, three deep in Husker territory each leading to Spartan scores, against zero for Michigan State.  With the turnover margin against you in such dramatic fashion, it is difficult to defeat poor teams, much less the team with the top statistically ranked defense in the land. Michigan State won going away, 41-28.  Nebraska did move the ball, when the hing on to it. Ameer The Spartans were only allowing 43 rushing yards per game at 1.6 per rush, but Abdullah ran for over 123yards and Nebraska 182 averaging 5.7 yards per carry.  Husker QB Tommy Armstrong connected on two touchdown passes.  Even with the dismal failure to protect the football, a founding principle of the game, the Huskers trailed 21-27 late in the third and the game was there for the taking. But, the errors continued, and Michigan State would collect their first program victory over Nebraska, eliminating the Big Red from the Legends Division title. Defensively, Nebraska played well enough to win, but defending short fields gets tiresome and even the greatest of stop side units breakdown when repeatedly placed in that position.  This brings us back to the same old song when it comes to execution on the gridiron, something Nebraska consistently cannot perform, for whatever reason.  The coaches are dumbfounded.  Maybe they should have asked some Spartan coaching staff members, who played turnover free ball in the hostile sea of red environment.  If Nebraska wins out, unless there is an outstanding coach ready to come in, I would not replace Pelini and then begin a search.  The future is bright with the talented bunch of youngsters out on the field, a group that made a lot of mistakes on this day. However, should they lose to Penn State, Iowa or both, that changes the analysis.  And in a final note, in contrast to a large contingent of the Big Red fan base; if Taylor Martinez gains 100% health, he should be playing quarterback for this team.  That would of course include the bowl game.

FLORIDA STATE ANALYSIS:

The Seminoles continue to dominate, wining their second consecutive game 59-3, this time versus visiting Syracuse.  It got ugly early for the Orange, with FSU leading 28-0 after the first quarter.  Many thought focus would be lost for the Seminoles, as the name of quarterback phenom Jameis Winston has turned up in a police inquiry in a sexual battery case.  In speaking to everybody and anybody in the know on this ongoing investigation, there does not appear to any evidence to suggest any wrong doing by Winston. Of course, should such evidence come forward, we all recognize the seriousness of sexual battery and appropriate action will be engaged.  However, all indications are there is nothing to see here as it pertains to Winston. Certainly, his play and demeanor on the field were seemingly not affected by the accusations and having his name dragged through the mud.  Winston was very sharp, directing a balanced offense that is looking impossible to stop.  Winston is the total package, as evidenced by the block he threw 40 yards down field blocking for true freshman Kermit Whitfield of Orlando Jones on his 74 yard touchdown scamper.

Defensively, the Seminoles are smothering, and the list of contributors to making great plays from sideline to sideline is growing. Tim Jerrnigan owns the interior line of scrimmage, and Christian Jones, coming on of late, has joined Telvin Smith in busting up plays from their linebacking positions. The secondary, which will bring blitzes from any spot on the field, is the nations best. Senior LaMarcus Joyner is the leader, but youngsters like Nate Andrews and Jalen Ramsey are playing like veterans. Idaho is in Tallahassee next week to get destroyed, and then it is off to Florida Field to play the struggling Gators before the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte, likely against Duke. The table is set to play for the national title, and if the Seminoles keep within the process and deliver a high level of execution, they will be there.

Dealbreaker

Michael Ramirez/Investors Business Daily

Contrary to what is being spun by the lamestream media darlings who shower the citizenry with volumes of propaganda in support of their anointed leader, when the President of the United States blatantly lies to the American people regarding proposed legislation only as a bait and switch to implement a government program which limits choice and freedom, it is in fact a big fucking deal.

It boggles the mind to think under what mindset Obama was able to convince a majority of the voting public to support him in his effort for re-election, but there is little doubt Obama would have been unsuccessful if the voters knew now what they should have known then.

Shame on them for not taking the responsibility as a citizen to adequately assess the candidates. But for the sitting President to act in such deception of governance, and this is going on in many levels from Bengahzi to sanction negotiations with Iran, the assessment of being a liar transitions to potential articles of impeachment, for which we have previously called for.

No quarter will be provided for the Obamacare Dozen, a group of Democrats seeking delay of the individual mandate because their re-election is now looking shaky. Each and every single one of these morons, and I'll add Sen. Diane Feinstein (D:CA) to the list, supported Obamacare and welcomed the opportunity for federal government bureaucrats to make health care decisions for you in your stead because of your ignorance on governing yourself.

The same goes for Hillary Clinton.  Today, Bill Clinton weighed in on the situation suggesting Obama make some adjustments, but this is simply cover for Hillary 2016, as both of the Clinton's firmly supported Obamacare.

It should be understood thoroughly that any efforts from Democrats at this juncture to fix or delay the law is only presented to enhance their political position for the next election and does not come from a position change on the law.

It is worth noting that those who created the problem are rarely those who should be charged with fixing the problem.

An editorial in Investors Business Daily notes All These Lies And Incompetence, Too, but the truth is  this entire affair was all by design, including orchestration of the failed roll out.  These people are not operating nincompoops; they wish for there to be chaos causing a worried public to seek help from an all to willing government to further increase power and control over the citizenry.

With respect to Obamacare, it is the single payer system that is the goal, and with a distraught and frightened public, it will sadly arrive much sooner than originally thought.  The only hope is for the Congress to reassert their power and put the Commander in Overreach back in his proper place.

Sadly, with a untrustworthy candidate spewing lies left and right, the voters failed to accomplish that.

Clemson Crystal Ball

It was certain to be on of the colossal collisions of top flight teams, complete with The Color & Pageantry which makes the game of college football so special.

The Clemson Tigers, were set up to have perhaps their greatest season, coming of an impressive 2012 bowl victory over SEC powerhouse LSU.  An early season home encounter with the highly ranked neighboring Georgia Bulldogs, another SEC powerhouse, gave Clemson an opportunity to start strong in 2013, and the Tigers did not disappoint winning a spirited contest.

Up next, was fellow ACC Conference foe Florida State who in recent seasons had experienced flirtation with mediocrity after decades of dominance.  The Seminoles were looking for a big road victory as a statement of the return of the Seminoles a level of elite on the national stage.

With a national television audience on hand, the game on October 19 was set as a clash of titans among national title contenders for 2013.  Clemson, at home where FSU had not won in a decade, with an explosive and experienced offensive unit, was favored, but the Seminoles, with a freshman quarterback making national noise, were somewhat unknown.

Five days prior to the matchup, on October 14, Jeff Cameron, of ESPN 97.9 in Tallahassee, previewed the game to his radio audience.  The comments put forth by Cameron were spot on, and in stunning fashion, #5 Florida State dominated #3 Clemson 52-14 at Death Valley.

Thanks to an outstanding editing job of an unknown individual, game highlights where placed in relation to the comments of Cameron, and the final product is just tremendous, unless of course you are a Clemson supporter.

Please take a look at this outstanding piece of work:

Cameron was on to something as the Seminoles have the look of the type of team that directly challenges for the national title, and the pieces are falling into place for the season to be quite special.

Saluting Our Veterans

The following is a commercial advertisement for Food City, a grocery chain company I am familiar with due to their relationships with and high level of sponsorship of NASCAR. As the ad states, the company celebrates freedom and those who provide it.

While the advertisement was produced to commemorate the Fourth of July, I find it symbolic today on Veterans Day, as we honor those individuals and families who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.

Thank you all for your service, and we certainly leave a bar stool open for those who could not be with us today.  God Bless You All.

OUT:  Miami (13), Texas Tech (22) and Notre Dame (25).

VOTES:  Miami, Mississippi, Nebraska, Duke, Southern Cal, Virginia Tech, Washington, Brigham Young and Notre Dame.

NATIONAL ANALYSIS:

High flying Oregon was dominated on both lines of scrimmage at Stanford, and was removed from the ranks of the unbeaten in eye popping fashion, as moving forward voters will likely note the major area of weakness the Quack Attack would have against teams with a high degree of physicality, such as Alabama...Miami, demoralized after a humiliating loss at rival FSU, took a slumping Virginia Tech lightly, and the visiting Hokies, who consider the Canes a big rival, turned Hurricane miscues into touchdowns in a driving rain storm to amass almost 600 yards of offense in thrashing Miami.....Vanderbilt, who has not won in Gainseville since 1945, won easily over the seemingly inept Gators, and the level of collapse of the Gators, with the stellar resources they have, is simply stunning....In what may turn out to be Johnny Manziel's final home game for the Texas Aggies, although Miss. State put up 41, it was nor enough to outscore the Aggies....Duke is 7-2 controlling their own destiny in the ACC Coastal, roughing up NC State...Wisconsin handled a decent BYU squad...Arizona State pulled out a win at Utah...Minnesota is now 8-2 after winning at Penn State....Oklahoma State continues to roll wth Texas, Baylor and OUT yet to come....Texas survived at West Virginia.....UCF got a big home victory over Houston, perhaps their biggest challenge to winning the AAC.....Pitt upset Notre Dame.....UCLA was a road dog but got by Arizona behind the outstanding play of freshman linebacker Myles Jack, who in addition to leading the way defensively, played tailback and gained 120 yards with a 66 yard touchdown scamper.....Fresno State walloped Wyoming in Laramie....Alabama took control in the second half to dispose of LSU, a big hurdle along the way to the SEC Championship game....USC crushed Cal and is playing well right now....Auburn is really playing well, bombing Tennessee at Rocky Top, where the Vols have been decent.

FLORIDA STATE ANALYSIS:

Florida State went on the road at Wake Forest, a place in recent years which has troubled the Seminoles, but behind an attacking defense, which forced an assortment of turnovers, the game was no contest as Florida State rolled 59-3.  The defense was smothering, handcuffing Wake at every turn. Wake tossed 6 interceptions, three of which were returned for scores, and fumbled away a score as well.  Mario Edwards JR, Christian Jones, Nate Andrews and Jalen Ramsey each had big plays in the dominating effort.  Jameis Winston and the Seminole offensive unit methodically took the opening drive for a touchdown but due to the upheaval created by the defense, the offense never got into a rhythm and statistically, it was sort of a lost day.  But with Fisher, it is all about the process, playing every down like the scored is zero to zero, but with Wake dismantled in such dramatic fashion, it was hard for the Seminole offense to remain focused.  A lot of youngsters got some much needed playing time, particularly the backup O-line and signal caller Jacob Coker, who did not play particularly well. With Oregon losing, Florida State controls its own destiny for a chance to play for the national championship.  FSU will be favored by over 30 in two remaining home games, and then will be heavily favored at Florida, who is struggling mightily but is a hated rival game.  Then, it will take a victory in the ACC title game, another game FSU will be two touchdown or more favorites.  Stay with the process, and it should all come to pass.  Put a smile on your face.

NEBRASKA ANALYSIS:

Under Michigan Coach Brady Hoke, the Wolverines had not lost at home, until Nebraska rolled in on Saturday. Michigan is a flawed team, but they were favorites over a Cornhusker team with a injured offense and a very shaky defense.  However, something happened defensively mid game against Northwestern last week; the light bulb came on.  Nebraska shut down Northwestern, particularly on third down, and carried this dominance to Ann Arbor.  Nebraska clamped down on Michigan big time, holding Michigan to -21 rushing, swarming the quarterback and turning in a defensive effort for the ages in front of the Big House crowd of 112,000.  Soph DE Randy Gregory is an emerging All America player, and with a national television audience watching, he had three sacks and was a disruptive force all day.  Several players had strong performances, including Avery Curry, Michael Rose and Zaire Anderson, who although we expected him to have a big year, had been a non factors thus far.  The defense has arrived, particularly in the front seven.  There is work to do against teams that spread the ball, but against teams with offenses like Michigan and Michigan State, it is advantage Big Red.  Tommy Armstrong had what I consider his best game, perhaps not statistically, but in terms of managing the game and making plays when they needed to be made.  Armstrong made two killer plays on the final 14 play, 75 yard game winning drive.  Ameer Abdullah, who is the heart and soul of this team, continues to shine, perhaps making a legit case for All America honors.  The offensive line, down two starters coming in and losing another mid game, stepped up big time and deserve a boat load of credit.  WR Kenny Bell, limited with a hamstring injury, broke loose on a 4th and 2 pass for a big gian setting up Abdullah and the winning score. Although Pelini may have his job on the line, since the debacle at Minnesota, the team has decided to fight with everything they have, signaling they are behind their coach.  Good.  Michgan State comes to Lincoln as road favorites on Saturday, with the Legends Division probably on the line, but given what I am seeing, I will take the Big Red and the points with a high degree of confidence.  GBR!

Slanted Script

"In Florida, trying to pick out the dumbest piece of legislation is a tough task."

Scott Maxwell
The Orlando Sentinel
This was noted in an editorial piece by Scott Maxwell in his Taking Names column in The Orlando Sentinel titled, "As kids die, Florida continues costly crusade against gun safety." Maxwell is torqued about a law prohibiting doctors, pediatricians and psychiatrists, from inquiring about patient practices regarding gun ownership, usage and firearm safety.

Maxwell notes that these conversations, similar to those about dangerous chemicals, commonplace and voluntary, make perfect sense and result in saving lives.

I have never had such discussions with my doctors.  Ole Doc never informed me to be careful around gas tanks, to keep a keen eye out for that outboard motor propeller or issued pointers on any of the items I learned about in the Boy Scouts.

Maxwell described the law presented by freshman state Rep. Jason Brodeur, R-Sanford, who Maxwell opined "wanted to imprison doctors who asked such questions and fine them up to $5 million."  Although this was passed in the Legislature, Maxwell noted a federal judge blocked it, citing it as unconstitutional.

Then, as Maxwell notes in his column, at the NRA's urging, Florida Governor Rick Scott appealed the decision, costing taxpayers who pay for the state to defend the bill. Maxwell finds the state arguments "laughable" while I find the forced doctor inquisitions directed under Obamacare a violation of citizen rights of privacy.

I agree with Maxwell, that this law should not exist, but not for the reasons he cites in his column. As the federal judge who struck the law down said, "The law directly targets protected expression by restricting it."

Sadly; however, under Obamacare, physicians have been charged with obtaining, through these types of "conversations", information to relay to the government regarding household gun ownership.  Is this a back door way of obtaining a gun registry?

My trust of the Obama administration is pegged right there at zero, and the nation is beginning to catch on.  Although anyone may inquire, my physician has no right to seek out and report gathered information regarding my personal life as part of a data mining operation on behalf of the federal government.  Maxwell fails to mention that an ongoing effort to, at a minimum, restrict the second amendment is fully engaged by the administration and was likely the catalyst for the chain of events he has discussed.

Nobody, including The State of Florida, is against gun safety; in fact, it is encouraged and continuously taught across the state.  Instances where guns are participatory in the loss of lives, outside of law enforcement and the lawful defense of life or property by our citizens, almost exclusively occurs by those who would not be deemed as responsible gun owners, although accidents unfortunately take place.

I am sure Maxwell is a great guy, a family man and deeply cares for children across the state, but accidents in a myriad of ways unfortunately kill many children in our state, perhaps most notably drownings in swimming pools.  But, even for the most diligent Obamabot, these deaths don't fit the narrative and would be tough to place blame on the GOP in similar fashion to firearm related deaths.  Hence, harm to children is utilized to tug the heartstrings to advocate for a political agenda.

In Florida, trying to pick out the progressive mouthpieces masquerading as sensible representatives of the citizenry is a tough task.

Red Alert for Land of Bronx Bombers

An election is being held in Manhattan on Tuesday which is not only significant for the City, but will have impact across the nation as well.

A review of the polling indicates New York City will elect Bill DeBasio in a landslide as the nest mayor of the city replacing an individual in Micheal Bloomberg, who in dictatorial fashion placed an unjustified level of importance on himself while turning the city, and attempting to turn the nation into a nanny state.

Bill DeBasio may be swell guy to have a cold one with at The Playwright Tavern, but his political background and positions are at extreme odds to those presented by our founding fathers. Certainly, we recognize that New York City is bastion of liberalism, but I doubt it has fallen victim to communism.  After all, this is home to Babe Ruth and the Bronx Bombers for crying out loud.

But New York City, obviously a trivial culture drowning in a sea of egotism and irrelevance, is sadly poised to elect a Communist as Mayor. Please alert any New Yorkers you know that they are set to relinquish freedom and liberty not only in Manhattan, but across the nation.

Glenn Beck takes an extensive look at DeBlasio, and perhaps some of the folks that find his candidacy enticing will think differently if they spent some time engaged in the responsibility of researching candidates. Take a listen:

Citing the unrivaled work of DeBlasio as a public advocate, otherwise know as a community organizer in full scale promotion of class warfare and socialism, in a shocking development The New York Times has editorialized support for DeBlasio.

Enlightened by common sense, many warn New York City screaming for the citizenry to Stop Red Bill.

Should DeBlasio become mayor, get ready for Muslim holidays to be added to school calendars, an abomination to be sure.  While the Muslim community campaigns hard for DeBlasio, hopes are high that is elected DeBlasio will help push for local and state laws to be re-written for the collective one family objectives as an extension of political correctness.

There are many who are sounding the alarm, inclusive of Trevor Loudon and Pamela Geller, who are leaders in identifying connections in terrorism, and the anti-American actors masquerading as standard gatekeepers of the promise of Uncle Sam and are active in blocking the slow creep of socialism and the increasing Muslim influence in our communities.

DeBlasio is an impostor, an individual who does not share the vision of the founders and has actively fought against the interests of The United States of America.  He is an opponent of freedom, and should in no way shape or form find himself anywhere the mayoralship of our beloved NYC.

Caveat Emptor!

And while we are on the subject of elections taking place on Tuesday, Terry McAuliffe, a true ass kisser associate of the Clintons is slightly ahead in his run for the Governorship of Virginia.  McAuliffe should not be elected if he were running against Bart Simpson, but the land of the Cavaliers and Hokies have a true man of character in Ken Cuccinelli, who share the ideals that are common to those who believe in the promise of America as founded.

We are counting on our friends in New York and Virginia to recognize and reject the evil path they are being asked to take, one which restricts freedom and liberty for all.

OUT: None

VOTES:  Georgia, Washington, Texas, Houston, Minnesota, BYU, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Duke, Southern Cal, Florida and Michigan.

NATIONAL ANALYSIS:

Ohio State, looking for BCS support, bombed Purdue in West Lafayette, a place which has been troublesome in the past....Missouri bounced back by smothering Tennessee....South Carolina defeated once emerging Mississippi State....Auburn continues to roll winning at Arkansas....Oklahoma State got their most impressive victory of the season winning big in Lubbock versus Tech......Wisconsin pulled away late to get big win at Iowa.....Michigan State smothered Michigan, holding the Wolverines to -48 yards rushing, which is unheard of......USC got a big road win at Oregon State....Boston College upended Va. Tech, who is most disappointing this fall.....Arizona State continues to post big wins......Georgia jumped all over Florida only to hold on for victory over the offensive Gators....Clemson throttled Virgina...West Virgina got most impressive victory over slumping TCU....Notre Dame won very late over Navy....UNC won at NC State, snapping a string of recent series losses....Minnesota, fresh off upset win over Nebraska, moved to 7-2 outlasting Indiana in Bloomington.

FAU Coach Carl Pelini, who came to the Owls after serving as defensive coordinator under his brother Bo at Nebraska, resigned, along with co defensive coordinator Pete Rekstis, and was escorted from the facilities after admitting to illegal drug use when confronted with evidence.  What a complete idiot.  Perhaps an individual can engage in these activities in their personal life if it fails to conflict with their job responsibilities.  However, if being the head coach of the football team at a university is your profession, this behavior is completely unacceptable and FAU did exactly the correct thing in removing Pelini immediately.  It is hard to imagine this type of behavior was typical during his tenure at Nebraska, but if such activity should come to light, that would no doubt be a deal breaker for his brother Bo, who is already on very shaky ground in Lincoln due to performance.  We hope Pelini and Rekstis can get some help and move on, but this was an irresponsible and moronic move by these individuals whose leadership the development of young men were placed under.

NEBRASKA ANALYSIS:

Staring another mind boggling and crushing defeat in the eyeball, one which would have turned the heat on Coach Bo Pelini to boil, the failure to accept defeat allowed a stunning turn of events to unfold as Nebraska snatched victory from defeat as Jordan Westerkamp hauled in a 49 yard hail mary pass from Ron Kellogg III to beat Northwestern 27-24 with time expired. With starting quarterback Taylor Martinez injured and unavailable, Tommy Armstrong II got the start and like last week at Minnesota, the Cornhuskers took the opening drive down for a touchdown with a low degree of difficulty.  The defense, however, looked lost and coupled with the offense beginning to sputter, Northwestern got out to a 21-7 lead.  Although Armstrong, a redshirt freshman, has played well most of the time, he is certainly not to be confused with Jameis Winston, and the contingent of Husker nation clamoring for Armstrong to play ahead of a healthy Martinez, even if the team prefers it, is in error.  Interceptions thrown by Armstrong provided an assist to the Wildcats in grabbing a lead a depleted Big Red team was likely unable to overcome.  Amidst the struggles of Armstrong, Ron Kellogg III came in and promptly tossed an interception.  Perhaps a heavy dose of Ameer Abdullah would have been the prefered option, but with guard Spencer Long out for the season, along with injuries suffered up front including one to Jake Cotton, one questioned how effective Abdullah could be.  Jamal Turner was out, and all the sudden we looked up and Kenny Bell was in street clothes with a hammy.  With the O in trouble, the defense rose to the occasion.  Avery Moss and Randy Gregory became disruptive forces, and Moss got a pick six game changer.  However, with the game tied, the Huskers had a chance to lead a game winning drive, but Armstrong tossed his third interception, setting Northwestern up first and goal on the Nebraska 7.  But, the defensive preformance as the game reached conclusion was edging on dominant down the stretch, holding the Cats to a only a field goal.  This presented Nebraska with an opportunity for a game winning drive, and it was Ron Kellogg III at the helm.  Faced with a 4th and 15, with an individual effort to be all, Ameer Abdullah got 16 yards, seemingly cementing his spot as preseason first team All America in 2014.  Three plays amount to almost nothing, leaving four seconds and one hail mary attempt to win the game.

Man, Women and Child that got them out of their seats.  The pass by Ron Kellogg III was collected for a touchdown off deflection by Jordan Westerkamp!  Nebraska wins! This was huge on so many levels, including the tenure of Coach Bo Pelini, who likely would not have survived this home loss.  Pelini looked spent after the game, almost a statue in disbelief.  As Coach Pelini said, it is tough to call either team a loser after that game, but it was the Huskers that prevailed. Perhaps this game could be a catalyst to something not yet known? After a real shaky start, the defense became smothering.  It is hard to win with so much offensive firepower missing, but the collection of pieces, most notably starting with Ameer Abdullah, could be molded into increasing production.  The division is there for the taking, starting at Michigan on Saturday.  I have confidence, and so might the Huskers given the opportunity that fell from the sky on Saturday, one Chicago native Jordan Westerkamp secured.

FLORIDA STATE ANALYSIS:

Always troublesome, Florida State welcomed undefeated and seventh ranked Miami to town for another contest in the long and historic rivalry.  Behind Hesiman contender quarterback Jameis Winston, the Seminoles used a balanced offensive arsenal and an attacking defense to blast the Hurricanes 41-14 and propel the Seminoles directly into the national title conversation.  Florida State opened the game driving for a touchdown, but Jamies Winston tossed two first half interceptions which gave Miami the opportunity to keep it close.  Coupled with strong running from Duke Johnson, Cane quarterback Stephen Morris hit touchdowns on stellar throws to help Miami go in at the half behind only 21-14.  However, as Miami got the ball to begin the second half, the Seminole defense, fresh of halftime adjustments, began to smother the Hurricanes. Mario Edwards Jr. made some big plays and the secondary was equally strong in pass coverage and run support. Additionally, Winston and the offense, with a balanced attack of running by Devonta Freeman and screen passes with timely stretch the defense mid range throws, FSU scored 27 second half points to win going away with relative ease, terms not customarily utilized in this series.

While Miami is a good team to be sure, they are not at the level of the Seminoles, who established themselves among the elite on both sides of the ball.  It looks like we may see another matchup in the ACC title game in Charlotte; however, Miami will be without the outstanding Duke Johnson, who broke an ankle late in the game.  Johnson is an All America candidate back, and his loss will hurt the Canes.  Sadly, his injury brought out the worst by those on the extreme of the UM fan base, most notably former player and vagabond Miami local radio talk show host Dan Sileo, who placed threatening messages about FSU running back Devonta Freeman on Twitter, who is from Miami.  Not only can we see why he fails to hold radio gigs across the state, but might he face a police inquiry for this kind of action?  There can be no doubt Winston is a special player, perhaps one of those once in decades talent, who can lift teams to the pinnacle of the sport.  It remains to be seen how far FSU can go, but with Winston at the helm of a balanced offensive attack displaying veteran type leadership and a fast, attacking and smothering defensive unit, the Seminoles are set to challenge for the national title for the foreseeable future.

Gameday

GO SEMINOLES!

Florida State LB Marvin Jones with a decleater back in the day.
